I took the girlies to the park yesterday and Lucy started acting like a puppy again! For being just over 70 in dog years, she sure is spry. Dog-teen Capriella was suddenly too cool to play.
So, incoming dog: her name is Capriella, but we're calling her Capi for short! She's about two and a half. She came from a family in LA who let their schnouser/poodle mix breed with their jack russel, but she doesn't look like a jack russel at all (her siblings do). She's the same color and size as Lucy – they look very similar! Her jaw is more square, her eyes are bigger, and her fur is straighter, but definitely still curly. Her original family was Armenian so she responds to mostly phrases of that language, but she's supposedly picking up English commands pretty well! She's absolutely darling, a total cuddler, and Lucy didn't show the least sign of annoyance (she doesn't have a history of loving other dogs, so the #1 thing we were looking for was someone that she would be comfortable living with). Capi's totally mellow and sweet and I can't wait to have her around!!
I thought Capi had light brown eyes, but my sisters pointed out that she has really tiny pupils in a larger, dark brown ring. Check out her beautiful central heterochromia!
