izi's Random Movie Reviews
King Tweety, 2022 dir. Careen Ingle
This post contains spoilers.
Tumblr media
"The focus on Sylvester and Tweety building their bonds as brothers has never been a concept I’ve seen before and was a refreshing take on expanding their dynamic in a bit of a different direction."
When this movie initially came out, I didn’t have the proper means to watch it. Now that I do, I’ve spent the time to get acquainted. Careen Ingle’s work is an inspiration of mine, through her storyboards and joke telling, and this is at the top of that list for those directions. This film pays such a nice but not overbearing homage to previous Looney Tunes media (earlier last week I also watched Tweety’s High Flying Adventure and was pleased when watching King Tweety that Awooga made another appearance).
The focus on Sylvester and Tweety building their bonds as brothers has never been a concept I’ve seen before and was a refreshing take on expanding their dynamic in a bit of a different direction. Granny as a caregiver is always so fantastic and it’s always a blast seeing what antics she gets into on the sidelines.
As a movie geared towards kiddos, it’s easy to tell who the “bad guy” is right away, but even so, the way the story progresses is wild, wacky, and might I even say, looney! The writing and the art have so much care put into them. The stylization of the characters is so cute and fun but still stays recognizable to their old designs. As an animator, I want to go back and do studies on how these backgrounds were done, because they’re so intricate and beautiful.
This review isn’t going too in-depth on the actual plot of the film, but that’s even more of my encouragement for you to go watch it!! it’s a nice feel-good movie that I needed this week and definitely will get rewatches out of me.
9/10

Siblings and their "dad and foster mom"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Initially, I wanted to redraw Unikitty before publishing it and Puppycorn, but I have accumulated a lot of debts because of my studies, I decided that I would post at least this Unikitty, BUT I IMMEDIATELY SAY that in everyday life she will wear a different suit, and I also think to supplement the Puppycorn suit)
Princess Unikitty. 30-31 years, bisexual panromantic. The kind, fair and most optimistic ruler of Unikingdom, the elder sister of President Puppycorn. Even years later, the ruling princess did not lose her optimism, but she began to take the matter a little more seriously, especially when Coco, a completely new and a happy Unigang appeared in her life. By its unique nature, it has unusual abilities such as the ability to fly, change the shape of the blush and the color of the coat depending on the situation or emotion, as well as release the largest amount of Sparkle Matter. Although Unikitty, as the ruling monarch, can change the laws and the form of government, but because of her personal considerations, she cannot transfer power to her brother.
President Puppycorn. 28 years, asexual. The fair and slightly lazy president of Frowntown abd younger brother of Princess Unikitty. Since he was born a boy and his horn was broken in infancy, he cannot control the Unikingdom (in the kingdom of matriarchy and Unikitty cannot transfer power to his brother due to personal considerations) and could not control his magic as well as his sister. However, he can digest almost any food, including even those that are dangerous for dogs, and also learns about his other abilities, the existence of which he could not imagine before. Became president by the Force of Justice. And Really Old Edith's old book.
Richard, 59 years, straight. Advisor to Princess Unikitty and sometimes to President Puppycorn, who, in addition to his regular job, had another one. If not for the long-awaited appearance of Coco and her entry into The Unigang, his life would have been boring. Now his life is a little boring (because of Coco), but it is also saturated (also because of Coco).
Coco, 55 years, asexual heteroromantic. A flower seller and Feebee's assistant with QT, who also happens to be her mentor, since Feebee couldn't control herself for a long time. She was absent from the Unikingdom for a long time due to the fact that Feebee gave her a vacation in order to rid her of control. Also, after a while, she met Richard, thereby becoming a member of the Unigang. Yes, she's that the Richard's GF, but she's his wife now^^
That's right:
Richard's girlfriend in this AU has a name;
Unikitty bears the title of "Princess", not "Queen", in order to make a reference to "My Little Pony" as a tribute to both this show and the voice actress Tara Strong, who voiced both Unikitty and Twilight Sparkle.+princesses are more often shown in many media as kind characters than queens;
And yes, because Richard's Girlfriend was picking flowers in Richard's flashback, I invented a place for her in the plot;
And yes, Puppycorn is here dressed as the Evil Morty from Rick and Morty, and Richard is reading Stephen King's Carrie;
Since Careen Ingle has long since confirmed that Puppycorn is not an alien, I decided to give him a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT role in the plot in AU, compared to other Unikitty's AU.
I hope you like it! Do you wanna See more New content? So, we can see it soon!

Can you write a story where Deeks doesn’t go to Mexico and finds out about the car explosion?
A/N: As you would expect, there’s some angst. I changed a few details around or sped things up to make things flow a bit easier.
***
Bring Me To My Knees
“Can you go faster?” Deeks asked, glancing at the clock as Officer Juarez drove towards the airport, lights flashing.
“I’m already pushing it, Deeks,” Juarez replied. Even so, he floored the gas, careening around a slower-moving bus and minivan. Deeks grasped the passenger door handle, eyes narrowed as he prayed they didn’t crash.
The last 8 hours were some of the worst he could ever remember. He’d spent the night going over his and Kensi’s conversation in the parking garage on an endless loop.
After the fact, he realized that he’d chosen an extremely poor time to address the issue of leaving. They were both keyed up and on edge, but, Deeks was also hurt and angry that Kensi instantly assumed he wanted to break up. Her refusal to listen to him at all, watching her walk away, had nearly broken him.
She hadn’t responded to any of his texts begging her to talk to him or accepted his call just know to let her know he was coming. Even though he was still angry and even if they were irreparably broken-god, the though nearly made him gasp-there wasn’t a chance in hell Kensi was going to Mexico without him.
They were still partners. At least this one last time.
Juarez pulled onto the small runway Nell had given him directions to. He was infinitely grateful that she’d risked Mosley’s wrath and kept him updated on the team’s plan.
As they pulled closer, Deeks’ phone rang and he answered it.
“Deeks, they left.” Nell blurted out immediately. “We tried to keep them for as long as we could. Eric even made up some technical issue, but Mosley was insistent.”
“Damn it!” Deeks hissed, a wave of panic nearly overwhelming. Juarez eyed him warily and Deeks forced himself to breath more evenly.
“I’m so sorry.” He was aware enough to hear the regret and blame in Nell’s voice.
“No, it’s not your fault,” he assured her. “You did everything you could.”
“We’ll keep you updated as much we can,” she told him and he nodded distractedly.
“Thanks, Nell.” He hung up, staring blankly at the empty runway. “Take me home, Mateo.”
***
Agonizing was the only word Deeks could think of to describe the last couple days. Nell had kept informed as much as she could, her last update him that they had a contact and possible plan to breach William’s residence. Then she’d stopped responding to his texts at all.
Deeks was overwhelmed with every horrible scenario he’d dreamt up since the team left. Thoughts of Kensi being held captive and tortured, bleeding out in the middle of the desert. It was too much for him to take.
Which was how he ended up lurking at one of the back exits outside the mission. After this many years, Deeks was fairly skilled at bypassing security, although he did proceed with extra caution in case Mosley had extra guards in place.
“Deeks, what are you doing here?” Nell’s voice suddenly hissed through the intercom. “Do you realize how much trouble this could cause if someone saw you?”
“I’ve been basically fired and my fiancé is on a ridiculously dangerous unsanctioned mission to Mexico,” he reminded her. “How much worse can things get?”
“Fair point,” Nell admitted with a deep sigh. “Fine, get up her, but do not let anyone see you. Mosley is out of the office right now, but I don’t know what instructions she might have given the other agents.”
Not giving Nell a chance to change her mind, he slipped through the door when it clicked open. Fortunately no one stopped him and he made it up to OPS without any issue.
“You are such an idiot,” Nell greeted him, her face looking warn and tired as she stood up. “But I’m really glad you’re here,” she added, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck.
“Thanks for not squealing on me,” Deeks said as Eric turned around and waved in a decidedly uh-Eric-like way. He looked equally exhausted, even strained and a little horrified.
“I would never,” he said, his voice unusually tense.
“So, uh, you guys stopped texting me. What’s going on?”
“Deeks, I don’t-” Deeks held up his hand before Nell could finished her sentence, anticipating her response.
“I know it’s not good so whatever you’re trying to protect me from isn’t working. And if you don’t tell me, I’ll just imagine something even worse. So what ridiculous and suicidal plan did they come up with?” he asked, surprised by how even he managed to keep his voice.
Nell and Eric shared a glance, she took a deep breath, and then he pulled up a video on the big screen.
“Please tell me that’s not where I think it is,” Deeks said, horrified as the camera panned over what was clearly a large complex.
“Kensi is in the process of infiltrating Spencer William’s property as an equestrian with lessons for Derrick. During the lesson, Kensi will escape with Derrick while Sam and Callen provide a distraction and take out any guards,” he explained.
“That is never going to work.”
“Well, they don’t exactly have a lot of options,” Nell reminded him.
“I knew this was going to happen,” Deeks said bitterly. “If M-”
“Guys, be quiet,” Eric interrupted tersely, standing with a finger pressed to the comm in his ear. “Kensi’s in trouble.”
“Don’t say anything,” Nell warned him. In that moment he had no doubt that Nell would unapologetically kick him out if he didn’t comply. He watched, helplessly, as Kensi was forced to her knees and Williams arrived.
“No hablo ingles,” Kensi said quietly, a touch of defiance in her voice. Deeks didn’t allow himself to revel in the sound of her, alive and mostly untouched. Not yet. Not while Williams interrogated her and threatened horrible things.
Somehow he stayed silent as Kensi fought Williams off, the sound of gunfire in the near distance the entire time, and convinced Derrick to come with her. It was difficult to follpw exactly what was happening with all the shouting and gunfire, but eventually they made it the SUV unharmed.
"There's a helicopter waiting for you with EAD Mosley on board," Nell informed Kensi.
Deeks gave her a questioning look and she shook her head. Obviously questions about how Mosley had ended up in Mexico would have to wait for another time.
As Kensi passed Derrick off to an extremely thankful and emotional Mosley, the pilot informed her there was enough room for one more person.
"Take it, Kens," he whispered, willing her to forego her heroic personality for once.
"We're good!" she shouted instead, giving the pilot the signal to leave. "Sam and Callen I'm on my way."
"That was her way home. She would have been safe."
"But Kensi never would leave Sam and Callen in danger," Eric said quietly. "Not when she could possibly help them."
"I know," Deeks choked out. He didn't have time to focus on his frustration or worry as Kensi rescued their teammates amidst a swirl of dust and smoke.
At any other time Deeks would have found the idea of Sam on a horse hilarious. Right now he felt like he might be sick.
"Go, Kensi!" Callen shouted.
"Oh my god," Nell breathed out in disbelief. "They did it."
Deeks let out a shaky breath, closing his eyes for a second. Even if it wasn't his team anymore, they were safe.
"Woah, Kensi, stop!" Deeks' eyes snapped back open in time to see something explode across the screen right before it turned to snow.
"Oh my god, what was that?" Nell gasped.
"Kensi, Sam, Callen," Eric said loudly. "Guys, can you hear me?"
There was no response. Deeks made a strangled noise, unable to breathe as his knees threatened to give out on him.
"Kens," he whispered, knowing she wouldn't answer him.

Are you proship/comship? (Asking because your username is eagledile and hawkodile and eagleator are foster brothers. I'm not judging, I'm profic myself, just curious.)
Hey there anon! bit of a loaded question you got there! I'm honestly not sure if this is bait to get me to admit to being "problematic" or a genuine question, but i'm feeling nice and explanatory today so i'm gonna break this down for ya. I have a lot of thoughts on everything you just said so... sorry if this post gets really long. (spoiler alert it does)
first of all, the proship thing. i don't really think there's a way to be brief about this without someone twisting my words and making me out to be a literal pedo apologist or something, so i'm just gonna say the pro/anti dichotomy is dumb as hell and does nothing but cause unnecessary confusion. the question of "is fiction depicting things i find gross and unacceptable allowed to exist" is just complete fucking nonsense. there isn't one answer to this. i have friends who cope with and process their sexual trauma with things that people consider unacceptable under any circumstances because they can't comprehend that anyone would have a nuanced relationship with the things that hurt them. it is not my business to decide what is and is not allowed, and i choose to judge people based on their own individual situations. if that makes me proship then whatever i don't actually care. just because something can cause harm doesn't mean it has no use or purpose, or that it should be destroyed or hidden away. i am not saying pedophilia or incest is good, actual sexual assault is obviously horrible, i do not like those things even as fictional scenarios personally. I'm just fucking normal and don't judge people before i actually know why they're doing what they do. please for the love of god think with your brain and treat people like people i'm begging you.
(btw this isn't directed at you anon, im not assuming you're going to be weird about this right off the bat. i know some people would though, so i'm being clear just in case.)
OKAY now that's out of the way we can get to the fun part, character analysis of an inconsistently written kids cartoon for 8 year olds! I do not think eagleator and hawkodile are brothers. i straight up just don't buy it. that may sound confusing at first but let me lay it out for you in excruciating detail because autism. okay so, i've been in this fandom since like mid 2020? so i don't have ALL the context but i do have a good amount. i was around when the concept of them being adoptive brothers was first spread around. and yes, this is not an old concept. literally NOBODY thought this before like, mid 2021. so what happened? Imagine you're scrolling through the #unikitty! tag. It's a slow day in mid-late 2021, not much going on. you notice a post from someone listing off a few of their favorite ships, and one of the ones they mention is eagleator/hawkodile. You're me in this scenario, so you're naturally interested in someone mentioning your rather niche favorite ship, so you read through, maybe you notice there's a couple comments on this post, so you check them out to see what's up.
Tumblr media
This is what you see. If you're not familiar, this is the tumblr account of Careen Ingle, one of the directors of the show. She's known for being one of the crew members who interacts a lot with the fandom, answering questions about certain things, usually on Twitter. Now, as far as i'm aware, i was one of the first people to notice this. At first, this really confused me, because like, while the ship wasn't common it also definitely wasn't unheard of? people have very much watched The New Nemesis and immediately posted "so that was kind of really gay right? it's not just me?" no one really took it that seriously, but it was definitely A Thing. Why would she say something about his now, nearly a year after the show had ended? why not say something earlier? To be honest with you, i still don't know. I don't know why she said this. She has never, ever elaborated on this, and no one even asked. About the only thing i heard of this was people either posting this exact screenshot or referencing it, appended with something like "if you still ship them after this block me and never speak to me again." This still baffles me to this day. There was no confusion, no push-back, anyone who thought this was even remotely questionable seemed to just disappear from any discussion of it. it was a complete echo-chamber of "this isn't okay anymore because Careen Said So" and then radio silence on the topic ever since.
Now, if you're not very familiar with the show itself, this might not seem that strange to you. but, and maybe this is just my perspective.. there is no indication of this in the actual text of the show itself. Absolutely none. In fact, i would argue some episodes actually contradict this idea! At best, what i get from the few episodes that actually touch on their relationship is that them being brothers would be a perfectly fine viewer interpretation, something to headcanon maybe, but absolutely not set in stone or obviously spelled out for you.
Seriously, if you don't believe me, go watch every episode that's relevant to this. there's like, 3 of them. That's just over half an hour of runtime. Here's a list, actually: S1E3 "Action Forest"
The first episode that establishes Hawkodile and Eagleator's relationship. Notice how they refer to eachother as "bro"(as in the non-literal slang term for a close friend, i assume), but never once a full, played-straight "brother", even when hawkodile is doing his dramatic backstory spiel. Also the song that plays when they hug is reused in a scene with master frown and brock in Beach Daze, who are like no-question canonically gay. Hmmm.
S2E12 "Hawkodile Sensei"
Eagleator isn't in this one, and some of the flashback scenes straight up contradict things that happen in Action Forest's flashback scenes (i personally choose to interpret this as hawkodile just being a very unreliable narrator for my own sanity) but the main relevant takeaway here is the fact that when hawkodile is basically emulating the way Sensai Falcomodo taught him, Unikitty makes a comment about him "[...]going to be a great dad", which Hawkodile immediately rejects by saying "i'm not gonna be their dad, i'm gonna be their sensei!" which.. seems to imply that Hawkodile very much does not see Falcomodo as a parental figure, just a mentor/teacher, that those two things are completely different to him. Kinda throws a wrench in the whole "foster brothers" thing, don't it?
S3E14 "The New Nemesis"
Okay, i really need to skim over this one because this post is already getting obnoxiously long, and to be honest this is the one episode i could pick apart for hours. Just.. just watch it. This episode is pretty much half the reason anyone ships them in the first place, and i'm still wondering how one of the directors can whole-heartedly believe that these two characters shouldn't be shipped when this whole episode is... the way that it is. i could genuinely make an entire post just about this episode if anyone even wants to see that.
So yeah, in conclusion, not pro or anti ship but a secret third thing called thinking with my brain. if you use either of those labels i'm ignoring it and asking you what you actually fucking mean by that. i ship eagledile because, from my perspective, there is now way anyone could have known they were "supposed to be brothers" from the content of the show itself, and i'm not going to change my whole view of these character's relationship just because someone on the team said so, somewhat rudely, in the comments of a post made by someone who didn't even fucking ask, and failed to give any reason or evidence for why i should even believe that. Death of the author and all that. Hope this clears things up!
