I haven’t had any new jobs for a bit, but we’ve been busy with holiday celebrations. Becca and Bobby are expecting their first child - I can’t believe we’ll have a baby running around this little apartment soon! 

We’ve had letters from a few branches of our family. Everyone is well, but they miss their husbands and fathers. I miss my brothers - but I’ve heard from them recently, and I know they’re still alright, somewhere over there.

I traveled to Brindleton to welcome Tim back from the war. Wish I could see Allen, too, but his home is in Henford-on-Bagley now. It was a bittersweet reunion - I’m so glad my brothers are safe, but our second cousin Reuben Meyer and Tim’s brother-in-law Alvin Wright were both killed in combat before the end of the war.

It wasn't exactly something that Reila or Emely wanted, but it was something Jessica insisted on having: an engagement party. Jessica had picked a beautiful restaurant/wedding venue in Tartosa, and she invited every member of her and Ricky's family that she could think of.

The party itself was wonderful. The buffet was full of delicious food, the drinks were superb, and the dessert samples left all the guests wanting more. Ricky had even hired a professional pianist to play, so lovely music echoed throughout the entire place as guests mingled, talking and laughing and enjoying the event.

Once the sun began to set and the guests were nearing their drinking limits, Jessica tapped her champagne glass loud enough for those around her to hear. She wanted to make a toast to her daughter and her soon to be daughter-in-law.

Jessica: Reila, Emely... We're all gathered here today to celebrate your beginning. It's the beginning of something beautiful, as you two have chosen to walk towards the future together. I couldn't be more proud of you both, and I couldn't be happier that my ladybug chose such a wonderful woman to spend the rest of her life with. And with that being said. your grandparents, Ricky and I, we'd like to announce our gift to you both. We've watched as you both worked your hardest to graduate college, and we see how hard you're working now to establish your careers. On top of all that, you're in the process of buying a house! We're so, so proud of you both. And we'd love nothing more than to lift some of the burden from your lives... So we're going to pay for the wedding. No matter what the cost. We love you both so much. Congratulations to the future Mrs. and Mrs. Townsend-Kibo!

The family finally found a public resting place for Terri, Akira, & Flip and had a little joint ceremony for them together.

Random updates bc I've been taking too many good screenshots lol:

Latisha started a new job as a diving instructor! She also won the Humor and Hyjinks festival, but got a little too cocky with her fireworks.

Most of the fam came over to Judith & Carole's for Spooky Day and it was cute.

Terri and Akira went to the community festival for Harvestfest and happened to run into Carole and Raven!

Everyone’s just been hanging with family & friends.

uh and Carole went to her parents’ place and trained on Terri’s military bot while they were sleeping and somehow didn’t wake them up...
