The thing that pisses me off in So Help Me Todd is that Todd and Lyle very, very, very likely won't end up together. But if either of them were a woman, not only would it happen, it would be a GIVEN.
I mean come ON, boop, "Tyle" and "Team Lodd" (both said BY THEM THEMSELVES), Todd adding Lyle to the list of people he would like to kill when in s1 there was a scene where "loving someone means wanting to kill them sometimes" was a topic.
Lyle leaving and Todd. looking on! with a FOND SMILE!!!! And that's just one episode, there are a bunch of other moments throughout the show.
If this was about a straight couple, any discussion regarding them would be about how they are a slow burn rivals-to-lovers, to the point where it would be excessive and people would have to be reminded to also appreciate the friendship they are forming.
But since it's queer, we (at least, I) just ship it while being resigned it probably won't happen and really, really hoping it will.
Edit: especially now that the show is ENDING I'd completely forgotten it's been cancelled 😭😭

Harry: Would you guys be there for me if I was going through something? Lawrence: No. Chet: Nope. Lawrence: Absolutely not. Susan: I hope it sucks, whatever you're going through. Allison: I hope it emotionally scars you for the rest of your life. Todd: I hope you reach out to me so I can ignore you. Lyle: I can't wait to go to your funeral knowing that I could have changed that outcome.

There is a certain sense of ecstatic elation present in all the records of those players that had to serve the needs of their collectives in the past. Richard Ashcroft, for example, probably saw himself as a winner after Alone With Everybody. Then again, the disc remains a fabulous listen, though the best moments of the LP could've been done with his Verve, had he decided to get along with the rest of the group and not cosplay Oasis. You see, the platter also suggested he needed an editor in the vein of his old bandmates. While the unwieldiness can be excused on a debut, you have to either tone that down or make this into your quality later on. Ashcroft sadly did neither of these two things and I'm saddened, because the LP presented a better solo singer than we got consequently.

Vivi-Design EAH Fancast 2.0 (Pt.3)
I'm back from the dead. Sorry for being MIA for a while but I'm back now. I'm doing Pt.3 of my @vivi-designs EAH Recast.
Part 1: https://www.tumblr.com/childofmattel/735536666910015488/vivi-design-eah-fancast-20-pt-1
Part 2: https://www.tumblr.com/childofmattel/735638317217021952/vivi-design-eah-fancast-20-pt2
Part 4: https://www.tumblr.com/childofmattel/739542620483747840/vivi-design-eah-fancast-20-pt4
Part 5: https://www.tumblr.com/childofmattel/739611898471923712/vivi-design-eah-fancast-20-pt5
Anyways let's get to it.
Adara Lael as Holly O'Hair
Tumblr media
I know her from this Christmas movie I was forced to watch. (I forgot the name) I think that she'd make an amazing Holly O'Hair but idk. I just really like this fancast even if the actress is a little underrated.
Loren Janae Poppy O'Hair
Tumblr media
I'm glad I found actresses that were actually twins. I think she and her sister really match with Vivi's idea with them.
Siena Agudong as Cerise Hood
Tumblr media
I was debating changing Cerise's FC but I feel like Siena Agudong is honestly the perfect fit. Idk if she's tall like Cerise is described to me but I don't think her height is the most pivotal role of her character.
Queenie Mae Villaluz as Ramona Badwolf
Tumblr media
If you guys don't listen to Boys World (and you like Pop) you totally should, they're so good. I think Olivia Rodrigo matched vivi's Pinterest aesthetic of Ramona but I feel like overall Queenie fits as Rosabella Badwolf. Although she's not an actress I feel like she fits as Ramona.
Jack Pililaau as Tucker
Tumblr media
I'm keeping the same fc for Tucker cuz why not.
Adrian Lyles as Sparrow Hood
Tumblr media
I wanted to cast someone a little younger for Vivi-design's EAH because even though Bryant Barnes is a good FC I think he's a little too old to be playing a teenager even if it is just a fancast. If this were to actually be a live-action show I think Adrian Lyles would fit as Sparrow.
Hanni Pham as Duchess Swan
Tumblr media
There needs to be more Vietnamese representation in Hollywood because it was not easy finding one. Hanni Pham is also a dancer like Duchess and even though she's not an actress I think look-wise she can portray Duchess.
Sean Kaufman as Hopper Croakington II
Tumblr media
I think he looks a lot like the Hopper in vivi's art, although he doesn't have red hair which really doesn't matter.
Brianna Reed as C.A. Cupid
Tumblr media
While scrolling through Cupid's pinterest I saw this picture and was like "automatically yes." Look at this picture and tell me this isn't a perfect Cupid.
Marsai Martin as Blondie Lockes
Tumblr media
I saw on fancast on Tiktok and I haven't been able to get it out of mind. I just love the idea of Marsai as Blondie Lockes. And this picture with the blonde braids is stunning. She'd be a great Blondie.
Shahadi Wright Joseph as Cedar Wood
Tumblr media
No changes. Shahadi Wright Joseph forever.
Maripaz Romero as Rosabella Beauty
Tumblr media
Like vivi's Rosabella she has a prosthetic leg. Speaking of I just want to take a moment to appreciate all the rep Vivi-design's EAH has. I do love EAH but come to think of it -- it was really white so all this rep makes me happy.
Anyways that's part 3, again sorry for the long hiatus. For my Re-Cast I'm planning to do more parts, including one with the EAH character's parents.

Marilyn Monroe in Niagara (Henry Hathaway, 1953)
Cast: Marilyn Monroe, Joseph Cotten, Jean Peters, Max Showalter, Denis O'Dea, Richard Allan, Don Wilson, Lurene Tuttle, Russell Collins, Will Wright. Screenplay: Charles Brackett, Walter Reisch, Richard L. Breen. Cinematography: Joseph MacDonald. Art direction: Maurice Ransford, Lyle R. Wheeler. Film editing: Barbara McLean. Music: Sol Kaplan.
Niagara was one of three movies starring Marilyn Monroe that were released in 1953. The other two, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (Howard Hawks) and How to Marry a Millionaire (Jean Negulesco), were hits, confirming that Monroe was a peerless comic actress. But Niagara wanted her to be a film noir siren. She had done earlier turns in legitimate film noir, a small role in The Asphalt Jungle (John Huston, 1950), larger ones in Clash by Night (Fritz Lang, 1952) and Don't Bother to Knock (Roy Ward Baker, 1952), so this time 20th Century-Fox decided to go all out in exploiting her as a femme fatale. There are many things wrong with Niagara, one thing being that it can't quite decide whether it's a noir thriller or a Technicolor travelogue about the eponymous falls and their various tourist attractions. But what's most wrong about it is its misuse of Monroe, who is not even the real lead character in the film: Her role is decidedly secondary to that of Jean Peters. And she is grotesquely exploited in her part as Rose Loomis, unhappily married to a mentally unstable man (Joseph Cotten) and plotting to have her lover (Richard Allan) bump him off. The studio can't resist dressing her in skin-tight clothes, with high heels that make it impossible for her to walk without bumps and grinds, and flaming red lipstick that's obviously freshly put on even when she's supposed to be waking up in the morning. A producer less under the control of the studio than Charles Brackett (who also wrote the clunky screenplay with Walter Reisch and Richard L. Breen) might have made Rose into a credible character, but here she's only an adolescent boy's fantasy. Still, even a misused Marilyn is better than no Marilyn at all, as we find out two-thirds of the way through the movie when the focus shifts to the character played by Peters and her grinning ass of a husband (Max Showalter), and we have nothing to marvel at but the Falls. In the hands of a Hitchcock, Niagara might have been a success, but Henry Hathaway directs as if he's bored by the whole thing.
