Il villaggio di Donja Lokosnica è la “capitale del peperoncino” serba, dal momento che quasi tutti i 1300 abitanti sono coinvolti nella crescita e preparazione della paprica. Con l'avvicinarsi dell'autunno, l'intero villaggio diventa rosso, a causa dei molti fili di peperoni secchi, che pendono intorno Lokosnica, in attesa del loro uso invernale. Ciascuno di questi fili di paprika è fatto a mano, ancora essiccata secondo tecniche tradizionali, assistiti esclusivamente dal sole e aria fresca. (Photo by Marko Djurica)
