you know I never thought I’d actually be in a nonexistent fandom on tumblr itself but here I am, contemplating making an edit for Disney+’s “The Quest”

I just think the heirs have a great dynamic and are fun to watch is all :)

I keep making myself sad about Disney taking down The Quest, so I rewatched it and…

How? How could they cancel and erase a show so earnest, so warm, so full of heart? Such pure, unbridled, cringe-be-damned fantasy, any geeky teen’s ultimate wish fulfilment? The adventure the books always promised them they’d have, finally realised.

How could they leave behind such an intricate world with so much left to explore, such brilliant characters with so much more to grow? How could they leave it on such a cliff hanger?

It won multiple awards, was that not enough? It was loved, was that not enough? What the hell is ‘engagement’ anyway?

And I know the answer is they don’t care, they never cared, if the lack of promotion and the release schedule are anything to go by. And I know this is a sentiment echoed by so many now, too many, mourning the loss of their own shows that meant so much to them. I am not unique. I am not alone.

But still it hurts to think about how they made something so beautiful and genuine and then left it in the dark to die.

There will always be a place in my heart for Everealm.

Wait, how would some kingdoms exist in both the Everrealm and Earth at the same time?

The way I saw it was there there are just places where both realms overlap. Like there are two different worlds/planes/dimensions but they touch in some places and there are spots that there for exist in both. Like where a city might be on the border of two different states/provences ect.

MarsCon was introduced to Bonnie Gordon in 2016 when she first performed there in the Comedy Music Track along with her partner Xander Jeanneret as the duo "The Library Bards". 

Bonnie's many epic credits include the following: Being a regular performer at the world famous "Magic Castle" in Hollywood for over 13 years; ABC's reality TV series "The Quest" where she became known as the Paladin of Everealm; Geek & Sundry's roleplayer gaming Star Trek series "Shield Of Tomorrow" where she played as Lieutenant Lark Sage; The Library Bards' two full albums of nerdy comedy parody music "Bardcore" and "BomBARDed" (available on Bandcamp) as well as many hilarious music videos; As a video game voice actor she plays Rainbow Mika in "Street Fighter V", Silque in the "Fire Emblem Heroes" series, and Bounce Man in "Mega Man 11", and many others; And as an animation voice actor she played multiple characters on Cartoon Network's "Mighty Magiswords" including Nana Mewfles, Candi Carrots, and Darlin' Narwhal Magisword, and she is the voice of the ship's computer, the USS Protostar, on Nickelodeon's "Star Trek: Prodigy"!

As well as appearing and performing at conventions all over the world regularly, Bonnie has been working on her debut solo album "Con Artist" following a wildly successful Kickstarter campaign in 2021. The album will feature original songs alongside some "hint of nerdy" cover songs, some special guests and more. All of her friends and colleagues from the Funny Music Project (The FuMP .com) are thoroughly excited to have Bonnie Gordon make her return to MarsCon as our 2023 Music Guest Of Honor.

You've got to watch The Quest!

Well, you don't have to, but I strongly recommend you do.

It's a high fantasy gameshow with some of the best costumes and set I've seen in a while. Seriously, It all looks so amazing.

All the episodes are out on Disney+, they dropped today. I've only seen the first one, I'm pacing myself, but it already seems so good. And the tiny bit of stuff that doesn't seem so good is the kind of stuff that doubtless gets better as the series goes on (Contestant dynamics, Story to gameplay ratio, etc.)

But anyway, you should watch it. I don't think you'll regret it!

I saw it mentioned in your DisneyVerse timeline but how does Gigantic fit into the world you've created?

Ah, well it was a movie I was actually pretty excited for, it looked like a really fun twist on the story to have Jack befriend a little girl giant, and I've always liked when Disney explores a bit of a real time/culture. So having it in the 1500s Spain for the Our World bit before heading into Giantland sounded right up my alley as well. I was really bumbed when they canceled it so I decided that it did still happen in my Disney Timeline.

Basically how it fits into my Verse is it would start in Our World until Jack gets magic beans that act as portals to other worlds (ala OUAT basically but also woth actual bean stalk growth) and then he'd go into Giantland, which I saw as being a sort of pocket dimension land thats between Our World and the Everealm, like Wonderland and the Neverland Islands.

Don't really have much more ideas on it atm but I'd like to come back to it at some point and do more character development. Still hoping it'll get properly brought back maybe someday 🤞
