The Canucks choke again.
The Canucks vs Golden Knights series has been a fascinating one from a pure hockey point of view. It may not be as exciting if you are a Canucks fan, as the Nucks find themselves down 3-1 in their second-round matchup after last night's loss. The game began with scoring from Knights centre and former Montreal Canadiens captain Max Pacioretty. It was quickly answered by last year's Calder winner Elias Pettersson to make it 1-1. From there, both teams would trade punches back and forth. 2-1 Vegas with a strike from Stephenson, then 2-2 as captain Horvat comes through. A few minutes later, Toffoli rips one home. Now it's a 3-2 game Canucks. The lone Canadian team left in the 2020 playoffs would take that 3-2 lead into the 3rd period, just to have their hearts ripped out as the Knights would score 3 unanswered goals in the 3rd. With goals from Schmidt 3-3, Pacioretty 4-3 (2nd of the night,) and William Karlsson as the Knights closed out the game with a 5-3 Final. Being down 3-1 in a series is never ideal, and this Canucks team is young, but part of me still believes they have a chance in this series, not a good one, but a chance none the less. I am not saying I think they will win. I just think they have some fight left in them. We will wait and see. Game 5 is slated for 8:45PM (CT) on Tuesday.

CTP 12. Boston Globe 7.
We’re proud to announce CTP put another one in the win column last night with a performance so stellar it made the headlines ;)
We spotted the Globe 3 runs with a shaky defensive first inning. But then we settled down, tightened up the gaps, and started swinging the bats.
Though we didn’t get the bats going until the third inning, when we did we formed a conga line. Skittles (Taste the Rainbow as Will tends to shout) got the rally going with a base hit that she legged out. After that we kept crossing the plate one after another (nearly tripping over the bat a few times).
We batted through the order and put up NINE on the scoreboard.
Almost everyone had a hit in that inning. Will got robbed when he scalded one a little too close to the short stop’s glove. The exclamation point was an Alan Duda Dinger.
The Globe fought back with 4 of their own after Bappe loaded the bases and their best hitters cleared them. Haley made a nice play in left to kick-start the defense. Ryan caught a fly in foul territory and Manny finished them off by snagging a shoe-string line drive at SS.  That was too close for comfort for CTP. In the fifth Bappe reached on a fielder’s choice and scored. Duda and Haley had a couple of well placed hits and Manny brought them home with a double right down the line. Jen Powers hit a bomb, but this time the left fielder was in the right place at the right time.  In the sixth we closed them out with a scoreless inning and some outstanding plays by Justin, Ryan and Willie C. Skittles and Casey found their way on base 3 times a piece and Duffy kept circling the bases until he got tripped up at third where he rolled an ankle on the third baseman’s foot. After examining his karaoke footwork in the dugout shortly thereafter, we can confidently say we don’t expect him to be on the 10-day DL. CTP’s win over the Globe brings our record to 2-1. Our next game is June 15th vs. iProspect. Stay tuned for more updates.

In the end, Ohio State's ability to capitalize on key opportunities and their strong defense secured them the win over Cornell. 🥍4. Cornell's Strategy vs. Ohio State's Defense: An In-Depth Look at the Game PlanIn this section, we're going to take a closer look at Cornell's strategy against Ohio State's defense. Let's dive into the game plan and see how the Big Red plan to attack the Buckeyes. Cornell's strategy will be centered around their talented offense. With players like Jeff Teat, they have the ability to score from anywhere on the field. They will look to create space and opportunities for their attackers. Ohio State's defense will need to be disciplined and focused. They cannot afford to give Cornell's attackers any room to operate. They will need to be physical and aggressive in their approach. The Buckeyes' defense will most likely focus on shutting down Teat. He is the engine that makes the Big Red's offense run. If they can limit his impact, they will have a better chance of winning. Cornell will need to be patient with their offense. They cannot force the issue against a tough Ohio State defense. They must take advantage of any opportunities that come their way. The Big Red will look to control the pace of the game. They will want to slow things down and make the Buckeyes play at their tempo. This will allow them to dictate the game and keep Ohio State on their heels. They will also look to create some confusion on defense. They may switch up their formations and strategies to keep the Buckeyes guessing. This will help them create turnovers and get some easy goals. Ohio State's defense will need to stay disciplined throughout the game. They cannot afford to make any mistakes or take any unnecessary risks. They must stay focused and stick to their game plan. The Buckeyes will also need to be smart with their possessions. They cannot afford to turn the ball over or take bad shots. They must be patient and look for good scoring opportunities. They will also need to be aggressive on the defensive end. They must be physical and get after the Big Red's attackers. If they can disrupt Cornell's offense, they will have a good chance of winning. In conclusion, the game between Cornell and Ohio State will be a battle between a talented offense and a tough defense. The outcome of the game will depend on who can execute their game plan better. It should be an exciting matchup!5. Ohio State's Offense vs. Cornell's Defense: How Each Team Fared on the FieldOhio State's offense was dominant against Cornell's defense, scoring 12 goals and winning by a comfortable margin. The Buckeyes moved the ball quickly and efficiently, using their speed and skill to create scoring opportunities. Their passing was accurate, and their shots were on target. Cornell's defense struggled to contain Ohio State's offense, allowing the Buckeyes to score early and often. The Big Red were unable to disrupt Ohio State's rhythm, and their defenders were frequently beaten one-on-one. They had difficulty clearing the ball out of their own end, leading to more scoring chances for Ohio State. Ohio State's attack was led by Tre Leclaire, who scored three goals and added an assist. Jack Myers also had a strong game, scoring two goals and dishing out three assists. The Buckeyes' midfielders were also effective, with Johnny Wiseman and Ryan Terefenko each contributing two goals. Cornell's defense did have some bright spots, including goalie Chayse Ierlan, who made 13 saves. Defenseman Brandon Salvatore also had a strong game, causing multiple turnovers and preventing several scoring opportunities. However, their efforts were not enough to stop Ohio State's potent offense. Overall, Ohio State's offense was simply too much for Cornell's defense to handle. The Buckeyes' speed, skill, and precision passing allowed them to dominate the game and come away with a convincing victory. Cornell's defense will need to regroup and make adjustments if they hope to compete with top-level offenses like Ohio State's in the future. 🏆6. Post-Game Analysis: What Cornell's Win (or Ohio State's Loss) Means for the SeasonNow that the game is over, it's time to analyze what Cornell's win or Ohio State's loss means for the season. 🏀 For Cornell, the win could mean a boost in confidence and momentum going forward. They proved they can compete against a tough opponent. 🔥 Ohio State's loss may be a setback, but it's not the end of their season. They have plenty of opportunities to bounce back and show their potential. 💪 The outcome of this game could also impact rankings and seeding in upcoming tournaments. 📊 Cornell's success could attract more attention and recognition for their program, while Ohio State may need to work harder to regain their reputation. 🏆 Regardless of the outcome, both teams can learn from this game and use it to improve for the rest of the season. 📈7.
