When the dream controls my attitude
Tells me what to say and to do
Spare or never see the same sun twice
Oh
Tumblr media
Oh this took me So Long and is part of a set of three images inspired by lyrics from Low Roar's "Breathe In". They're a bit out of order, but I finished this first because I wanted to mess with swirly fire 👀
This was a really good bit of hand and torso practice for me and I'm pretty happy with the result, even if it took a shit ton of work aaaa!

teaser 1 here if you missed it
⋆⁺₊⋆ ☀︎ ⋆⁺₊⋆
“Open up.”
You’ve been enjoying this game of trading one sense for another, and you keep your eyes shut firmly, letting your jaw fall open and your tongue hang out. A piece of peach, fleshy and dripping with juice, finds its way onto your tongue, pinched too roughly between strong fingers. When you close your lips around the fruit, the fingers stay with it, frozen in their pinched position and forcing you to suck the peach from them, to swallow around them, to run your tongue along them and get as much of the meat as you can. When the fingers withdraw from your lips, you open your eyes and gasp quietly.
Eren’s leaning over you, a solar eclipse that smells like tan skin and sounds like Campari, and in the silhouette of the sunlight, you think he’s smiling.
“You’re still hungry,” he says, a question that’s left its punctuation mark behind. You think of Historia, of the shame of revealing your appetite. You dodge.
“I’m never hungry.”
“Never?” Eren crawls over you to kneel between your legs, propping one of your ankles up on his shoulder. The game you started is ripped out of your hands, chess pieces flying into the pool, scattering across the table, knocking over bottles and matchbooks. It’s so silent out here in the sun it hurts, and you almost miss the constant buzzing horseflies of early summer.
“Never.”
“If you’ve never been hungry,” Eren muses, tilting his head so that his cheekbone fits into the sensitive arch of your foot, reaching a hand down to splay it wide on your belly, “you’ve never been full.”
“How do you figure?” Your words come out throaty, waterlogged.
“Can’t have one without the other.” Eren shrugs, turning his head to the side. His lips brush against your heel, your Achilles’, the swirly seashell dangling from your anklet. You dig your teeth into your bottom lip, toes twitching behind his ear. “I don’t believe you, anyway.”
“No?” You try to tilt your head coyly, like your heart’s not clawing and scratching against your throat to get to him. Hungry, indeed.
“You wouldn’t stare like that if you didn’t want to.”
You’re taken aback, but not enough to fall out of the moment, Eren’s lips closing around the knob of your ankle slowly, like the pit of a fruit, make sure of that.
“Didn’t want to what?”
Eren’s hands meet the cushion on either side of your head hard enough to rattle the chair, his long, tanned body stretching over yours. He’s close enough to brush his nose against yours, but you can still see the hazy green of his eyes flicking here and there on your face: from your eyes to your lips to the beauty mark on your cheek. Your poolside lounge feels more like a butcher’s block under your taut spine.
Sasha’s told you about the wolves in these hills, that they howl murder at night, but they’re sleepy and indulgent in the heat of the sun. One of Eren’s canines catches the light and glints at you as he grins.
“Eat yourself sick.”

hehehee thank u for the compliments we live for the same kind of hurt/comfort angst !!!! i’m just thinking about when the pack finds darlin ,,,,; sam heals the cut that was used to draw blood immediately ,,,, david slicing the ropes off with half-shifted claws,,, angel draping a blanket over their shoulders and grasping their hands. darlins so confused bc wayward pack told them david ordered them to take them and darlin believed it ,,, -🐸
OH NO, NOT THE CONFIRMATION OF THEIR FEARS THAT THEY WEREN’T WANTED
But yes, just everyone piling on their relief and love and comforting Darlin in their own way…. Darlin ends up overwhelmed and just starts crying….
And yes I absolutely love that sweet angst that ends happy ♥️

Chapter 12: Punishments
“Hm hm hm!~” the voice laughed.
“What do you want from me?”
“Ooh, someone’s curious!”
The screen in front of Moon flickered, Sun fidgeting and shaking horribly in fear. They were in the daycare, it looked like.
A voice played back from the screen. “Naughty, naughty. You must be punished!” It sounded surprisingly similar to Moon’s voice.
“I-I swear, I d-didn’t mean t-to! Please… don’t h-hurt m-me…” Sun whimpered, frightened.
“WHAT?! WHO WOULD DARE HURT MY SUNSHINE?! I SWEAR, I WILL RIP THEM TO SHREDS!”
“Teehee~”
“AND WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING ABOUT, YOU LUNATIC?!”
A pause.
“Well, quite ungrateful, really. I suppose you do deserve this punishment after all. Pity.~”
“Punishment?”
“Hehehee!~”
Sunshine, are you alright?
….
Error; Message not sent.
“Oooh, did I forget to mention? Oh, silly me. I turned that off.~ >:3”
“You WHAT?!” Moon stares at the screen, at Sun, their Sunshine, who looks terrified out of their mind.
“I-I swear, it w-won’t happen again!” Sun pleaded.
“Oh, I’ll make sure it doesn’t.~” The voice similar to Moon’s cooed.
“What? No, no. You…. You wouldn’t. NO. I REFUSE TO BELIEVE IT.”
“Oh, don’t worry Moony.~ You don’t have to believe it to see it.~”
The screen crackles as more audio streams out.
“P-please! Don’t! PLEASE!” Sun’s voice yells, pleading desperately as they devolve into tears.
The screen is from the point of view of the thing with a voice similar to Moon’s. A sudden screech of metal comes through the screen, as claws rake across Sun’s chest and arms, and one of the rays is broken off.
Moon can’t keep watching. They cover their ears, trying to block out the sounds of Sun’s screeching, their pain, their pleading. It doesn’t work. It plays over, as if there was no interference at all.
Moon closes their eyes as to no longer see Sun suffering. The screen plays inside their mind instead.
“STOP! PLEASE! I’LL DO ANYTHING!” Moon cries. “PLEASE! THEY’VE HAD ENOUGH! TOO MUCH! JUST STOP IT ALREADY!!”
“Oh, Moony, Moony, Moony. You gave me the reaction I was looking for.~” Moon hears fingers snap, and suddenly the screen is gone, the audio dissipated.
Moon was crying. Was that real? Surely, it couldn’t have been. Moon would’ve protected Sun from anything.
“Oh, Moony.~ It was all real. Now, down to business. Tell me how to break Freddy’s firewall.”
“F-Freddy’s firewall…? A-as in….”
“Yes, yes.” Their voice was impatient now. “As in his code. Blah, blah, blah, TELL ME F__KING NOW.”
“I-I’m afraid I- I was n-never told i-it.”
The intruder sighs. “Alright.” Fingers snap again. The screen reappears.
“NO! ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT! I’LL TRY TO FIGURE IT OUT! PLEASE, ANYTHING BUT THAT!”
“Oh, Moony. You’re too easy!~” The screen is gone again. Moon breathes a sigh of relief, tears still streaming down.
“H-how am I s-supposed to c-crack a firewall in h-here?”
“Tell me anything and everything about Freddy Fazbear.”
Moon sighs, whispering, “You’re a monster.” before talking. Either the intruder didn’t hear, or just ignored it.

I'm back from island exploring! Had a lot of fun, childe's being put to work against those wolves heheh. Lores pretty interesting too.
Saw your tags on the liquid FL, very very cute. Love the idea that he continues to blep at you consciously because you smile at him when he does it. (Proceeds to steal liquid physics FL ideas for pocket moth)
Tiny pocket FL who lies in your palm and melts outwards like a relaxed hamster as you pet him. Or, in his slightly bigger Endora form, seems more liquid than solid as his head kinda bobbles around in your hands. All you can see outside of a lot of fluff in your hands is his hair moving as you gently rock your hands back and forth to watch him sway (and he falls asleep! Just like that!)
Oh also! Really enjoyed reading your fic! The last two lines where he'd seems almost human enough as if he's promising you the world? And the title drop? Boi I fuckin die reading that. Incredible 💜
oh my god the RIFTHOUNDS- i hate them so much like WHO gave them permission to put corrosion on my entire team?? the AUDACITY i tell you
his bleps are def unconscious at first, but when you point them out and he notices you smiling he decides to do it more often, and lo and behold!! it's a small thing but it makes you happy <33
*gestures* yes. extremely yes. when you give him scritches between his horns he buzzes with purrs and sinks deeper into your hands, little claws kneading at your skin. the feeling of you petting him is pure bliss, lemme tell you!! sometimes he drowsily nibbles on one of your fingers, before pulling it back to his fluff
hehehee >:)c a lot of people liked the fic!! i'm surprised, altho i will admit that i butchered the request a bit (be on the lookout for version 2) was it the angst? do yall like being sad? /j

Oh oh oh, vane, idea… what would jane, jae and herald’s keyblades be like if u had to come up with an idea for them? :3c
Oooh!!! that's such a fun ask thank you! djfgbj
Jane's Keyblade would definitely be feline themed hehehee. Maybe "Cat's Cradle." With a keychain that's a little kitty face. The guard could be circular and tan, resembling the top of a cat tower, with the blade itself being a stylized tabbycat, claws up in a ferocious perch – with the claws themselves being the sweet spot to hit enemies with. And it'd give her bonus to combining magic and physical combos. And she could form change it into a pair of claw gauntlets to swipe at enemies herself!
Jae's could be....like "Dark of the Woods." With the keychain being a rose surrounded with briar. The whole Keyblade would look like foliage, covering in moss that dripped down to the guard, though the tip of the blade has yellow eyes poking out between the leaves, and antler-like branches at either side making it almost axe-like.Very high-physical low-defense sort of weapon. The form change could envelop them in twisting brambles, which they could lash out with like whips, and also use to defend themselves.
And for Herald's! I can't not do "Paper Tiger." The whole keyblade would be origami in the shape of the king of the jungle, colored orange and decorated beautifully. Doesn't do the best physical damage, but gives extra MP and boosts the power of summons! And the form change could be the Keyblade forming an origami staff, with its attacks enhanced by paper magic.

Ticklish Shenanigans: Chapter 27
He Talks to Angel
Mod Yosh ~ Papyrus, Angel, Denise Mod Kitty ~ Sans, Flowey, Grillby
Angel finished eating her food, licking the last of the tuna from her lips and whiskers. After a few minutes of washing her face, she looked up to find Flowey resting on the windowsill. Curiosity getting the better of her, the kitten leaped up onto the counter to take a better look at the little flower. ---- Flowey watched the kitten approach with a bit of caution, loosening his roots a bit in the soil just in case. He couldn't use his magic in such shallow dirt, and he didn't want to get eaten. "Well, howdy there!" ---- Angel tilted her head off to the side and blinked. She then curiously sniffed at his leaves and petals, her whiskers brushing against him and her tiny nose occasionally booping him. ---- Flowey kept himself as still as possible, not wanting to excite her. Her whiskers were a little ticklish, but nothing he couldn't manage. He kept his voice very low as he said, "Don't get too curious, now. Don't you know that saying about cats? Papyrus would be so very upset if something were to happen to you...." ---- Not understanding what he was saying, but still sensing his malicious intent, Angel hissed and fluffed out her fur to make herself look twice as big before backing away a bit. ---- Flowey grinned at her response. "That's right. To survive, you have to be tough. Especially if you're small and cute." ---- She swiped a paw out at him, nearly nicking him with her outstretched claws, and spat at him. ---- His petals lightly fluttered as her paw whiffed him. "Hehehee! You think that's scary?" He couldn't summon vines, but he could grow a little bit — and so he did. Towering about a foot over her, he gave her his best sharp-toothed grin with a giggle. ---- Angel yowled in fright as she scampered off the counter and made a running leap into Sans' lap, scampering into his rib cage to hide with terrified mews. ---- Flowey chuckled, returning to his normal size and appearance. "So you are just a little 'fraid-y cat, after all." Startled by the noise, Sans eyes snapped in the direction of the kitchen, seeing the small furry blur coming straight for him, but he didn't expect Angel to make his ribs her safe place. "ghh—! ow! hh-aahh~haah! n-no wait—!" Sockets wide, Sans looked down at his chest, shakily pulling his shirt up and lowering himself to a laying position to relieve the weight of her hanging onto his bones. "c-calm d-down, ihit's o-okay...!" he said as soothingly as he could, partly to himself as well. ---- Angel growled softly and trembled in fear, her fur fluffed out and unfortunately brushing against his ribs and spine. Denise ran down the stairs wearing her new uniform, eyes wide. “I heard a scream in here, what happened?” ---- "kkh—! ehee! p-please kitty..! aaaha!" His fingers clawed and curled in stress, starting to tremble himself. "d-denise, ohoh geheheeze...! h-hehelp mehehe...! plehehease!" ---- “Uh-oh.... Uhhh....”  Lifting up Sans' shirt from the bottom, the young woman tried to reach in to grab Angel. “Here, girl, it's oka—ow!” She yanked her hand out once Angel nipped her, and she rubbed her finger where she was bitten. “Ow.... M-Maybe we should wait for her to calm down? Or do you need her out now?” After biting Denise, Angel scrambled further up into Sans' rib cage, her super fluffy tail brushing over his SOUL as she repeatedly swiped it back and forth in fear. ---- Sans managed to gasp with a concerned look when Denise was bitten, but grimaced as he felt the kitten rapidly backing up. "gh-hh—! i-i—! ... ah-hh~haa—!?!" He suddenly arched with a shivering intake of breath, blue spreading across his cheeks. Intensely ticklish tingles radiated from his SOUL through his whole body, and after a brief moment of paralysis, he squirmed at the soft tickles against the delicate thing. Angel's raw emotion bled directly into him at the contact, bursting through him in dizzying rushes as the tail touched again and again. Sans's pupils blinked out and he quivered and huffed as the fright became his own, confusion and stress building as Angel's terror mixed and contrasted with the delightfully awful stimulation. With eyes snapping shut, the corners of his mouth quivered and a strangled noise that nearly sounded like a moan broke through fearful giggles. Sharing feelings of the SOUL through magic was one thing. It was possible to be overwhelming, but it could also be controlled and filtered to an extent. Physical contact with the SOUL had no such safety nets, and was therefore a much more intimate practice with only the most trusted of companions — not to mention as a monster's core, anything that happened to the SOUL would have a sort of chain-reaction effect throughout the rest of the monster's magic. Sans was completely unable to think at the moment. ---- Denise gasped in panic. “Sans?! D-don't worry, I'll get Papyrus!” She rushed off as fast as she could, and within seconds she came back with the younger brother. “Angel is in his rib cage and I think she's hurting him!” “Okay, don't worry, I can get her out.” Papyrus knelt down by Sans and lifted his shirt, gently patting the couch next to his spine to try and coax the frightened feline out. He spoke to her in a gentle voice. “It's okay, Angel. I'll protect you. Everything's going to be fine. C'mere, girl.” Angel’s tail began to slow down, still brushing Sans' SOUL from time to time, and he felt her fright and stress almost immediately replaced with security and relief at her owner's voice. Finally, her fur lowered and she carefully padded out of Sans' rib cage for Papyrus to pick up and stroke. “Good girl, you're a good girl. It's okay now, you're safe.” He gently scratched under her chin, causing her to purr, and he looked down at his brother. “Sans, are you all right?” ---- Sans slowly calmed down as the kitten did, easing into softer, light-hearted laughter as the feeling of safety washed through him amidst the tickling. However, as the tail swipes slowed and finally stopped, his own feelings crashed back in full, and he choked on a sob. Relief, confusion and mortification mingled together within him and he wasn't sure how to answer. "i ... i th-think so...?" He lay there trembling, staring up at the ceiling. ---- “Oh, boy.... What even happened?” “I dunno,” Denise replied worriedly. “I heard a scream and I found Angel hiding in Sans' ribs. I tried to get her out, but she bit me.” “She bit you? She must've been terrified by something.” Papyrus paused to think before narrowing his sockets in fury. He looked towards the kitchen and scowled. “...Or someone.” ---- "sh-she ran out from there," Sans pointed to the kitchen in affirmation, "an' j-jumped right i-into my ribs." ---- “Just as I thought....” He walked into the kitchen and approached Flowey. Angel hissed and spat as her owner walked closer to the flower, squirming and trying to get away. Papyrus growled softly, knowing Flowey had done something to terrorize his pet, and transitioned to a bit of a stomp until he came up to him. “Flowey, tell me why you were scaring Angel.” ---- Flowey leaned away, looking up at Papyrus with an innocently anxious expression. "Golly, Papyrus, I didn't mean for her to get all upset! But it was self-defense. Cats chew on plants, didn't you know?" He pointed a leaf at Angel's behavior toward him. "Imagine facing that and being my size stuck in a pot!" ---- As much as he absolutely hated to admit it, Flowey did have a point. Cats were known to chew on plants, and Flowey was very much helpless in this current state. At least he didn't fling any ‘friendliness pellets’ at the kitten to hurt her, so he supposed he could let this slide for once. “Alright. I'm sorry for getting so angry too quickly without listening to your side of the story. I'm sure Angel won't try to mess with you again, but you just make sure you don't hurt her, okay?” ---- "Of course not, friend! That would be horrible!" Flowey seemed to relax with a smile, tilting his head. "We're still on for hanging out after your training, right?" ---- “Uh, yeah. We are. Well, we have to go now, so I'll see you later.” He smiled down at Angel, who seemed to have relaxed a bit. “You be a good kitty and leave Flowey alone, okay?” Angel mewed and purred at the attention before leaping down and trotting off to his bedroom, still shaken up by the scary encounter. She needed some time to herself in a safe and secure environment. Papyrus walked back into the living room and grinned confidently. “All right! Denise, Sans, are you two ready to make the most out of today?” “Ready when you are!” Denise replied with an excited grin. ---- "Okay! See you later, Papyrus!" Flowey grinned, waving a leaf. Sans sat up, shakily picking up the applications and pen that had scattered during the incident, holding the small stack of papers close against his chest. "yeah, i'm ready too." He smiled weakly, feeling much more calm. ---- “Alright! Let's go!” Papyrus led the way out of the house. In Papyrus’ bedroom, Angel leapt up on the bed, but almost as soon as she did her stomach began to growl again. She had just eaten breakfast, but being scared half to death by a scary flower could sure take up a lot of energy. Deciding to take a nap another time, she made her way back into the kitchen and sniffed around for any dropped food. When she couldn't find anything, she leapt up onto the counter and continued her search. ---- Flowey kept a wary eye on Angel just in case he hadn't scared her enough to keep her distance. ---- Her eyes locked on Flowey, and suddenly a wave of aggression washed over her, drowning out her fear. Caterwauling, she leapt at him and took a bite out of one of his leaves before leaping down from the counter and fleeing, keeping out of his reach just in case he tried to retaliate. ---- Flowey gritted his teeth, unable to dodge though he'd tried, giving a cry of pain. He inspected the damage. Having so much LV, he wasn't worried about what a little bite would do to his HP, but now the leaf wasn't quite as practical to use. He looked at Angel with an impassive smile. "Well, it seems like maybe you're quick to learn the way things are. Maybe you'll be a survivor yet. Don't take all their coddling to heart, it makes you soft." Bending down, he took the injured leaf in his teeth, twisting it off  by the off-shooting stem. His eyes watered — not from emotion, but the pain of it. Spitting it out, he watched as the leaf quietly fluttered down and landed on the sill. With a bit of concentration, a new leaf was starting to emerge and grow while Flowey monitored it in satisfaction. ---- Leaping up on the couch, Angel finished chewing and then swallowed the mouthful of plant. However, it seemed to not only leave a bad aftertaste in her mouth — which she tried to rid herself of by licking her paws — but there was a strange feeling seeping through her. Was it poison?! Or perhaps ... it was something else? She remembered feeling something similar when that large white monster touched her the day she was rescued from the storm. It had felt strange, but nice. It had entered her body, but it didn’t seem to flow through her entire system like what was happening to her now. She shook the feeling off by giving her body a quick shake and leapt back into the kitchen to scour for better-tasting food, keeping a wary eye on the flower. ---- Flowey glanced up from his self-mending, the new leaf looking a bit stunted compared to the other since he wasn't quite finished. "Golly, you're not going to give up, are you? Fine." He pulled himself out of his pot, shaking the soil from his roots, trying to minimize a mess. It wasn't easy, but he managed to pry open the window and slipped out, burying himself in the ground, vines erupting and climbing up into the house. He grew his stem and lifted his face up to the pane so he could see, navigating the much easier-to-use tendrils to open up the pantry. He grinned as he found the stash of Frisk's snacks — including a bag of jerky. Opening it up, he used a knife he got from a drawer to cut the dried meat into tiny pieces, leaving them on the counter. He put the bag and utensil back. While that was going on, he gathered stones outside, stacking them against the house up to the window. Banishing the vines, he hopped out of the ground and climbed back into the kitchen, closing the window with another bout of effort. The magic had been easy to use, but the physical exertion with the window alone in his smallest form made him pause to rest. ---- Angel’s fur rose again in fear as the once tiny flower seemed to grow new appendages. However, she didn’t flee, not when she caught whiff of a snack. Once the plate of jerky was no longer surrounded by monstrously long vines, she leaped up onto the counter and tentatively sniffed at the treats. She licked one up and chewed a little before swallowing, and then she ate another, and another. Once she finished her snack, she let out a content meow.... ...Except it didn't sound like a meow at all. “Yummy!” ---- Flowey's head shot up, and he looked at the kitten strangely. "Am I hearing things? Did you just speak?" ---- The kitten blinked in shock to hear herself speak, her eyes crossed as she attempted to stare down at her muzzle. Once she got over the shock, she let out a frightened yowl. What happened to me?! She found she could even think coherent thoughts as well, and the flower’s once unintelligible gibberish now sounded clear as day, with words she could actually understand and comprehend. She looked up at Flowey, staring at him with wide amber eyes for several moments, before snarling and and thrusting her face into his. “What did you do to me?! I'm gonna chew up your petals and make dirt in your soil if you don’t tell me right now!” ---- Flowey shoved his face right back into hers, expression twisting into his sharp-toothed, too-wide grin. "I didn't do anything to you, you little idiot! I just fed you jerky after you attacked me!" Even though he had a large amount of HP, he was vulnerable in this state, and she could do quite a bit of damage if she didn't mind taking the time. Flowey didn't particularly want to upset the balance of things right now, so he didn't summon his attack pellets, but if things did get serious he wouldn't hesitate for self-preservation's sake. He couldn't LOAD or RESET up here, after all. ---- “I'm not afraid of you, you know,” Angel spat, though of course that was a lie. She was terrified. “I may not have been able to understand what you were saying before, but I did see the way you were looking at Papyrus and his brother. You wouldn’t dare hurt me and upset them, because you know they'll get so angry at you and hurt you, and you won't be able to do anything about it. Which means I can do this....” The little calico leapt up behind him and released a little devious purr from her throat before thumping her rear end into the flowerpot, knocking Flowey off the windowsill and sending him crashing to the floor. The soil scattered everywhere and the flowerpot shattered upon impact with the tiled floor. She then positioned herself before leaping down on the back of Flowey's head, slamming his face into the ground, and trotted a safe distance away from the flower. She was purring with laughter all the while. ---- "Woa—! Ackkh!" Flowey pushed himself up with his leaves, a bit asymmetrically as his new leaf still hadn't fully grown. He glanced at the broken ceramic pieces around him, rubbing at his now bruised petals. "Golly, you're more — ow ... devious than I thought." He grinned. "I like the way you think, because we're on the same wavelength. You're going to lose points with Toriel over this. You shouldn't mess with me if you want to keep on her good side." ---- “No, I'm not. I'll just use my charm to get away with only a little scolding.” To prove her point, she rolled over on her side and looked up at Flowey, pulling the cutest look she can muster, complete with wide, sparkling eyes, a loud purr accompanied with little mews, and her tiny pink tongue poking out. All in all, she looked very adorable. ---- "Pshh! You're not the only one who can make faces." Flowey suddenly shrunk and curled up, making himself look small and vulnerable and helpless, eyes shiny and watery with tears, lip trembling and petals drooping. "M-Mom, the cat tried to eat me and kn-knocked me over. I-I was just trying to be nice...! C-can't she stay locked in Papyrus's room wh-when I'm home a-alone?" Just as suddenly, all traces of emotion disappeared. "It's easy." ---- Angel flipped back up to all fours, narrowing her eyes, then arched them as she gained an idea. Lifting her tail tip up to her mouth, she braced herself before chomping down on it and ripping out a patch of brown fur, mewling in pain as she did so. She lashed out her tail to try to shake away the pain as she twitched her whiskers at Flowey through glossy eyes. “There. Now it looks like you bit me. Papyrus won't be too happy when he sees this. He wouldn’t ever think to guess I had done this on my own. He’ll throw you out for the hawks for sure.” ---- Flowey chuckled incredulously. "Oh, I see how it is.... Well, if you're going to get me in trouble, Sans is going to be the one to pay for it. Not that I think you'd mind, after you've abused his ribs yourself. Twice now, I hear. Rude." He tilted his head. "Sans is desperate to keep me here, if you really want to see him have a meltdown, then golly, keep trying to get me kicked out of here." ---- Angel twitched and grunted, her confidence and deviousness immediately evaporating. She had seen what Flowey was capable of when he was outside fetching her the jerky. What else could he possibly do with those powers? Not only would Papyrus be upset that his brother would be put in trouble, but he was actually very nice, a fun playmate and good at cuddling during nap time. She didn't want to see him get hurt, especially if she was the primary cause of it and Flowey was the one delivering the punishment. She narrowed her eyes, but lowered her tail and head in submission. “...Don't do anything to him and I'll take all the blame for this, alright?” ---- "That's a good girl," Flowey cooed. "I did have some rather fun plans for him ... buuuut, I suppose he can be off the hook for today." He grinned at her. "Now, let me see your tail." ---- A jolt of fear flashed through the young molly and she wrapped her tail around her forepaws. “Um.... Why?” ---- "I'm going to heal you," Flowey answered. "I don't want it to look like I bit you, and I'm sure you don't want it to hurt anymore, right?" ---- Angel hesitated before tentatively padding towards Flowey, head lowered in fear and claws unsheathed in case he tried to harm her. Finally, she lifted her tail slowly to him. ---- Flowey quickly assessed the damage before getting to work, letting his magic flow around the wounded area, feeling for what was wrong, what was hurt. When he'd turned into a flower, his healing ability had morphed into something a little different than what he'd inherited as Asriel; he could accelerate natural growth, which, in principle, was about the same. After all, bodies were pretty good at healing themselves, he just had to coax them to work a little faster. The punctured skin began to mend itself, and even the fur that had been shorn by her own teeth began to grow out again. ---- She tried not to let herself freak out over the foreign feelings washing over her tail; it had felt a little like the ... magic that nice big monster used on her, but it felt a little different. Once she found her tail was beginning to heal, however, she began to relax. She shuffled a bit awkwardly before mewing softly, “Er, thanks....” ---- Nodding in satisfaction, Flowey withdrew his magic. "There, all better, right?" ---- “Um, yeah....” She looked down in thought before trotting out of the kitchen, and within minutes, she returned pulling along a decent-sized glass jar with much difficulty. She then proceeded to try and scoop the scattered soil into the jar, making sure to pick out the pot shards with her teeth. “...Sorry for knocking you over.” ---- Watching Angel with a slightly perplexed look, Flowey considered her gesture. "Why would you apologize? It was a rather good move on your part with what you knew. But now that you know even more, why would you be nice to me?" He was slightly reminded of Frisk. He didn't like it. ---- Angel stopped working and lowered her head, being forced to relive her past as but a few weeks old. “...I was the runt of the litter. My littermates would always bully and nip me and push me away from Mama during feeding time. And Mama ... she'd always try to kill me, whether it be to sit on and suffocate me or drag me to another room hoping I would give up trying to find her and starve. Mama's owners sold my littermates when they were about a month old, but no one wanted me, so Mama took me to an alley and abandoned me to die on my own.” Her ears lowered, her eyes shutting tight, trying to fight back a wave of sadness. “I've been treated like just a waste of space and just another mouth to feed for all my life with no love or purpose to live. That is, until Papyrus saved me from drowning. To torment and bully someone else, to do to someone else what someone has once done for me.... What kind of cat would that make me?” ---- Flowey listened to Angel's story impassively. His old self would have been sad to hear such a thing, he was sure. "That's the way the world is. It's cruel and unfair. Kill or be killed. You do what you have to in order to survive. I didn't once, even when I had the power to crush everyone who was hurting me, and I died." He hooked his leaves over the rim of the jar, hoisting himself up along the slippery surface until he managed to get inside, planting his roots back into the regathered soil. "Being nice can only get you so far. But you've got a good sense for manipulation, so you'll probably do well." ---- “You're wrong,” Angel growled. “If this world is kill or be killed, why would Papyrus rescue me? He could've easily just let me wash away into the sewers and let me drown, but he didn't.” ---- "Papyrus is a naïve idiot who's too nice for his own good. He's the kind of person that's easy to take advantage of. It's gotten him in trouble more times than he even remembers. Trust me, he's the kind of guy who would let you get close enough to stab him in the back even if he saw you holding the knife." Flowey looked off to the side. "He had been thinking about getting a cat to coddle anyway. You were just a convenience. Just because he saved you doesn't mean you owe him anything." ---- Angel stiffened, folding back her ears. Was this really true? Did Papyrus only save her because she was the type of pet he always wanted? Would he have let her die if she were a dog or a bird? She slowly shook her head in disbelief. “I-I don't believe you....” ---- Flowey shrugged his leaves. "Believe me or don't. Papyrus confronted me and I got him in trouble, and Toriel punished him by not letting him get a cat until he apologized. He did, and not long after, he found you. I'm sure if you two didn't cross paths, I'd be dealing with a different kitten freshly bought from a pet store right now. So, hey, at least you saved him the expense, right?" ---- She didn't say anything for a long while. Her head was spinning, her emotions were all over the place, and her spirit felt so heavy she actually had to sit down. So that's all that this was. Papyrus just settled with her because she was a kitten. If he hadn’t wanted one, or if she were a different animal, she would have drowned long before now. She doubted he even thought that much about her. He probably only liked her for her qualities, but not for who she actually was. “...Go eat crowfood, you piece of fox dung.” She whipped around and bounded into Sans’ room, steering clear of Papyrus’. ---- "Gollyyyy, now that you can talk, you sure have a mouth on you." Flowey watched her go, then looked down to concentrate on growing the smaller leaf to match the other's size. ---- She leapt up on Sans bed and curled up before folding her paws over her face, mewling helplessly like a kitten who had lost its mother — well, technically, she still was a kitten who had lost her mother, but that was beside the point. Papyrus ... didn't love her. No matter where she went, no matter who she met, no one would ever love her; her own mother didn't even love her. She really was just nothing more but a waste of space and another mouth to feed.... Well, if Papyrus wouldn't love her, then maybe his brother would. ...Right?
---- ~~~ ----
Sans followed, locking up the house before continuing. The rainy weather had mostly cleared up since the night before, though it was slightly windier than the previously nice, breezy days and there were still signs of dampness. ---- “Hmm.... Seems like that thunderstorm last night was only the beginning. We're probably gonna get another one soon,” Denise observed. “Really? How can you tell?” Papyrus asked. “Well, it's pretty windy and damp, and those gray clouds above are another sign that it's only gonna rain more.” ---- "dang, hopefully it'll hold off till we get back home," Sans commented. ---- “We can only hope. I'll be darned if my brand-new uniform gets ruined in a downpour.” “You and me both,” Papyrus agreed. ---- Sans looked between the two of them, hesitating, then piped up, "all right ... I don't want that to even have a chance of happenin', so both of you hang onto me." He'd showed Papyrus his power the previous night, and he'd trolled Frisk with it a few times in the Underground — and though he'd used a little trickery not to make it completely obvious what he was doing, he was pretty sure Frisk was smart enough to figure out he could teleport. Denise might as well learn about it too, being Frisk's sister. ---- Papyrus nodded, knowing what his brother was about to do, and held one of his arms. “Um... Okay?” Denise took hold onto his other arm, looking down at him in confusion. ---- When they both latched onto him, Sans teleported the three to the side alleyway of Grillby's restaurant. He still wasn't sure how to make the energy usage more efficient for tag-alongs, and when they'd landed, he woozily leaned his back against the wall to catch a brief moment of rest. "heh ... looks like we beat the storm...." ---- Denise’s eyes widened and she stumbled. “Wh-wha?.... Did you just teleport?” ---- "heh, i just found us a shortcut.... you wouldn't mind keeping it t' yourself, would ya? i think frisk probably knows i can do that too, so i don't mind about her." Sans slowly pushed himself away from the wall, putting his hands in his pockets. ---- “Don't worry, your secret's safe with me. Alright, let's get cookin'!” She walked in the restaurant. Papyrus looked down with a troubled expression. “Sans? Do you think Angel will be safe around Flowey? What if he hurts her? Or traumatizes her? Or locks her out of the house and she runs away?” ---- Sans looked up at Papyrus with a reassuring expression. "he told me he'd leave my friends and family alone, i'm pretty sure he knows how much angel means to ya, pap. as long as i'm his target, he'll keep his bargain and she'll be safe. ...'sides, she's pretty quick to find a hiding spot when she gets scared, pretty hard to force her out, heh...." ---- “Well.... Okay.” Feeling a little reassured, he smiled a bit before walking inside. ---- Sans followed his brother inside. The restaurant looked more or less the same in its arrangement, though the walls had a fresher coat of paint and everything from the tables to the bar had a bit of a polished, untouched shine. Grillby was in the back, moving boxes of inventory items. ---- Denise walked up to Grillby and brushed out her uniform to make herself look more presentable, clearing her throat nervously. “Um, pardon me, Mr. Grillby. My name is Denise and this is Papyrus. We're both here and ready to begin our training.” “Hello, Grillby!” Papyrus waved to the fire monster, grinning happily. ---- Grillby put down his boxes to greet his new employees with a nod and a gesture to come closer. Everything about him was warm, and the fire that composed his body crackled softly. "Nice to meet you, Denise. Good to see you again, Papyrus." "'sup, grillbz." "Oh, hello, Sans. I hope your not here to get a head start on your tab." The shorter skeleton chuckled. "naw, just to visit ya — and cheer on my bro, of course!" The flames of the elemental monster's head danced and curled pleasantly. "Would you like to come in the back too, then?" "you go ahead, i've got some paperwork to keep me busy till ya got a moment." Sans gently slapped the papers down on the bar, hopping on a stool and grinned, clicking open his pen. "Very well." He redirected his attention to the taller skeleton and the human. "Would you two like to see the kitchen?" ---- Denise smiled and nodded as politely as she could. “Yes, please.” Papyrus was too excited to worry about being formal, grinning widely. “YES, PLEASE!” ---- Pleased by the enthusiasm, Grillby led them to the kitchen, showing them their stations and explaining  the more important safety precautions right off the bat. Taking out some laminated papers from a nearby box, he handed one to each of them. "Here's our menu. You'll be taking care of these orders here." He circled a finger above the food portion. "And I'll be taking care of these." He moved his finger down to the drinks. "Would you like me to demonstrate how to make each item while you watch, or would you like to show me what you can do while I observe?" Raising an arm, he indicated the sample boxes of ingredients he'd prepared for their arrival. ---- “I would like to give it a try first! If I need improving, I shall ask for your assistance!” Denise was far less confident than Papyrus, looking very doubtful and nervous. “Um.... M-mind if you showed me first?” ---- Giving both of them encouraging nods in turn, Grillby approached Denise's station, motioning her over. "Burgers are one of our more popular items, so I'll show you how to do that first." He grabbed one of the defrosting patties to put on the industrial grill, turning on the heat. "I'm sure you'll get used to this enough that you'll be able to focus on other tasks while these cook, but for right now, we're going to watch closely." Taking a spatula, he gently pressed the patty against the hot metal and a hiss of grease crackled softly, then he coaxed the flat utensil under to lift it slightly. "We're going to check it every so often until this side's thoroughly browned." ---- Denise nodded firmly, watching in full concentration. Papyrus grabbed a patty of his own and placed it on the heated pan, waiting to flip with a spatula at the ready. Thankfully, he was given good reviews on his own burgers he’d made the night before — even by Flowey — so he was no short of confident in his cooking abilities. ---- Once the one side was fully browned, Grillby flipped it to the other. "It's about five minutes per side, so you may want to keep an eye on the clock when you have these going. Or, if you prefer, you can set the timer to help you keep track." He demonstrated how to use the timing device while the burger continued to cook. ---- “Alright, I understand.” Papyrus checked the underside of the burger before flipping it and pressing down with the spatula to squeeze the excess grease out. He deemed having enough time to slip out of the kitchen to check on Sans before he had to tend to the burger again, and so, after getting permission from Grillby, he did, poking his head out through the double doors. “Are you doing alright in there, Sans?” ---- Sans looked up from the applications to give Papyrus a thumbs up. "doin' just fine." He smiled easily, content in the familiar looking surroundings and the quiet. "smells like you guys are doing good back there too." He chuckled. "Good. Now, just because a patty looks done, doesn't mean that it is." He picked up a meat thermometer. "To make sure, you'll want to check to see that this says one-hundred-and-sixty degrees. If it's a little more, that's okay, but let it cook longer if it's less." He poked the metal into the beef, showing her how to get the reading. "See, it's a little too early, even if it's looking completely brown." ---- Papyrus smirked playfully. “Yeah, and guess who gets to get these deliciously greasy Grillby-styled burgers? The dogs! NYEHEHEE!” He giggled as he popped back into the kitchen to check on his burger. “One-hundred-sixty degrees until the patty is done, got it.” ---- Sans rolled his eyes, chuckling in good humor before returning to filling in the blanks. Once the patty was actually done, Grillby moved it over to some counter space on a piece of wax paper. "This is the building station. You put together everything that goes on the burger here. Usually everything will go on it, and it's all laid out in order." He gestured to the line of buns, toppings and condiments, then started putting the burger together. "Sometimes customers won't want everything or they might want a little extra of something else, so make sure you're paying attention to the order slips you'll get." He walked over to large, long metal box and patted it. "Customers won't want to wait ten minutes for their food, and any delay can compound into even more waiting time, so we should have a few patties ready to go at all times. It isn't turned on right now, but this will keep the meat warm after it's cooked. Always take any patties that are ready from here first rather than straight from the grill, you don't want them to sit too long and lose their freshness." ---- “Wow, that's a really good idea!” Denise praised with a smile. “Alright, I think I got it.” ---- "Excellent." Grillby didn't seem to have much of an expression, but his tone and demeanor were laid-back and pleased. "Don't hesitate to ask any questions. This is a learning process, so I will understand if you don't get something on your first tries. Would you like to try making a burger on your own?" ---- “Umm.... Okay, I'll try.” Denise went back to the grill and placed another burger patty on it. ---- Grillby stood close by her to supervise, turning his head toward the skeleton. "How's it coming along, Papyrus?" ---- “Just finished cooking the burger, Grillby!” the skeleton announced proudly. “This burger is fit for King Asgore himself! After all, it was expertly cooked by I, Master Chef Papyrus! NYEH HEH HEH!” ---- Grillby chuckled warmly. "Can I give it a try, then? I've always wanted to know what food fit for royalty tastes like." ---- “But of course!” He went over to the building station. “What would you like on it, Grillby?” ---- Grillby casually folded his arms. "How about a bit of everything, except hold the mayo. And extra onions, please." ---- “You got it!” After slipping the patty on the bottom bun and applying the requested toppings and condiments on the burger, he placed the other half of the bun on top. He grinned as he held it out to the fire monster on a plate. “Order up! Nyehehe!” ---- Accepting the plate, Grillby picked up the burger, opening his near-imperceptible mouth to take a bite. His flames made a pleasant sizzling sound as the food was consumed. He savored the taste for a few quiet moments. "Careful, Papyrus. You're going to raise the standards of what people expect from here," he said, clearly impressed. ---- Papyrus gasped loudly, his sockets sparkling in pure euphoria. “You really mean that?” Denise looked over from where she was cooking her burger to giggle at Papyrus' reaction. The taller skeleton's joy and confidence and just his personality in general made him so much fun to be around. He and his brother were both so lively in their own unique ways. --- Nodding with a crackling chuckle, Grillby nodded setting the plate down. "Why don't you give a few other things on the menu a whirl as well. Once you run through everything at least once, I'll show you how to clean up for when the restaurant's ready to close. If you have any questions about anything, don't hesitate to let me know." He turned back to keep an eye on Denise. ---- “Yes, sir!” With newfound energy driven by joy, he trotted back to his work station. ---- Grillby tested and approved of each of Papyrus's dishes as he helped Denise walk through the steps of preparation. All in all, he was extremely pleased with the two of them in their experience and following of directions. After showing them how to keep their stations sanitary, he quite literally beamed at them. "We shouldn't let all this food you guys made go to waste, so why don't we have it for lunch and share it with Sans. Then I'll let you go home for the day." Having finished up his paperwork, Sans had rested his head on his arms on the bar, taking a snooze. ---- “Thank you so much, Mr. Grillby,” Denise smiled. After a long morning of cooking and smelling the wonderful aromas of their creations, she was really looking forward to a good meal. “I concur! Now, allow me to wake up my lazy brother so that we may eat.” Papyrus trotted silently into the other room and snuck up on Sans before giving his ribs a little wake-up tickle. “You're not planning on sleeping all day, are you, brother? Nyehehehee!” ---- Grillby carried out the trays of food to a booth. "What would you like to drink Denise? I'm going to make milkshakes for those two. You can have one too if you don't mind soy milk?" An unguarded smile spread across Sans's face before he was startled awake, squirming on the spot. "ghh—! aha! heheheh! n-no, course not!" He quickly hopped down from the stool, away from Papyrus's fingers, giving his ribs and eyes a rub. Seeing the food being brought out, he grinned up at his brother. "wow, you guys make all that?" ---- “Thanks so much for the offer, but I'll pass; I'm allergic to soy. Do you have soda? If not, I'll take some sweet tea or water.” “We most certainly did! Grillby says my food is of high enough quality to please even King Asgore! So of course that means you're going to be having yourself a feast fit for a king — we all are! Well, except maybe Denise, she'll have a meal fit for a queen! Nyehehee!” ---- Grillby nodded. "I got you covered." Opening an icebox beneath the bar, he put on a pair of rather fancy looking — though still protective — gloves to fish out a frosty bottle of dark soda, uncapping it and sliding in a striped straw. He pushed it to the far end of the bar for her to take, then proceeded to make the brothers the milkshakes, still wearing the gloves. "hey, that's great, bro." Sans slid up to the wall in the booth, resting his elbows on the table and giving Papyrus a wink. "that kind of praise sounds like a crowning achievement, heheh! i am pretty hungry though." ---- “Thanks a lot, Mr. Grillby!” She took the bottle and sipped out of the straw with a content smile. Papyrus frowned before picking Sans up and carried him away from the booth. “That's it, no food for you.” ---- "You're very welcome." Glancing from his well-practiced work, he watched the two skeletons' antics in soft amusement. Well, this felt rather familiar. "aww, hey, c'mon! it was just one pun, bro! this is royally unfair!" He snickered quietly. ---- Denise watched the brothers as well and couldn't help but giggle. “YOU ARE A ROYAL PAIN IN THE TAILBONE!” Smirking, he used one hand to tickle away at Sans' ribs, his grip under his arms to keep him lifted, keeping him from lowering his arms and protecting his torso. ---- "yaaiee~haaahaaha! noho d-dohon't! ahahaa! hahaahaa!" Sans writhed, kicking a few times. "ohokay! okayhehehe~!" Shaking his head with a chuckle, Grillby finished up the shakes, topping each with a cherry and bringing them over to the booth. He pried off the gloves, sticking them in the pocket of his formal button-vest. ---- Papyrus saw the milkshakes were ready and he grinned before plopping Sans down and dashing towards the counter. “I'M GONNA DRINK YOUR MILKSHAKE!~” ---- Sans rubbed his ribs in relief, then threw out his hand just before Papyrus reached the glasses, clenching his fingers and slowly dragging his brother back toward himself. "don't think so, bro." With a grin, he started heading up to retrieve his shake. ---- “Hehehehey!” The younger brother’s voice cracked with laughter as he struggled to escape his brother's magic. “Ahahaha! You two are so hilarious when you're together!” Denise laughed, leaning back a little in her seat. ---- Swiping the drink, Sans headed back for Papyrus, carefully but casually dragging his hand down to increase the heaviness of the gravity and lower his brother down to his level. He rested an elbow lightly on top of his brother's skull, hand draped between his eyes. "nah, we're just a couple of boneheads." He took a sip through his straw with a wink. ---- Denise snorted and giggled hysterically behind a hand. Papyrus stared ahead sporting a deadpan expression. “Sans the skeleton. You have exactly three seconds to let me up and get your hand out of my face before I decide to tickle your back from dusk until dawn.” ---- Sans violently twitched, nearly choking on his shake, expression majorly faltering. "dh-hh! y-you wouldn't really...?" His arm slid down back to his side as he let up on his magic, taking a step backward with an anxious grin. ---- Papyrus smirked devilishly at Sans, letting out a low, evil chuckle. “We'll just see about that, now won't we, brother?” His face immediately shifted back into a wide, excitable grin as he trotted over to the booth to grab his milkshake and sip at it. “Mmm! I may not favor the greasy foods you serve, but you always make the best milkshakes, Grillby!” ---- Sans's posture tightened, sockets widening. He wouldn't.... Papyrus was just messing with him, right? With a small shudder, he meekly trotted over to the booth, filling up a plate with small samples of a variety of the food. Grillby's flames danced at the compliment. "Drinks have always been a specialty of mine. Even though I don't touch most of them myself. I'm glad you like it, Papyrus. Hopefully your own cooking will help diminish the restaurant's reputation for greasy food." He chuckled softly, making his way to sit across from Sans at the booth. "mm, hey, those two really did do a great job. and i'm not just sayin'," Sans spoke up as his friend sat. "Indeed. I'm very pleased with both of them. So, how are you doing, Sans? I haven't seen you since we left the Underground." "oh, everything's been pretty swell! i still can't believe it sometimes you know? i think things are starting to really look up on the surface, heh." "...I know that look." "w-what look...?" Sans nervously drummed his fingers. "The one that tries to convince me you're all right before you've had too much to drink." "...grillbz...." "......?" "...a-all right ... so maybe some problems followed me up here too. but things are better. or they're getting better...." He heaved a sigh. "I'm here to listen to you, you know?" "...i know. ya always have been. i appreciate it. maybe some other time though...." "...Okay. Did you try Denise's BLT yet? She got the bread perfectly toasted." "heheh, you're the expert on toasting." He took a bite, swallowing. "mm! well, i don't disagree!" ---- Denise took the time to humbly giggle and blush a bit before looking at Sans with a worried expression. “Sans, is everything alright?” “Don't worry too much, Denise, Sans will be fine,” Papyrus replied, offering his brother a kind smile. “If you say so. But ... I just want to let you know, Sans, that if you ever need help from anyone, you can also count on me. I know we're not that close yet ... but I'll still be there for you when you need someone to talk to or a shoulder to cry on. Alright?” ---- Sans grinned softly up at her. "hey, thanks denise, that's real sweet of ya." His smile stayed as he looked down. He was surrounded by so much support and love, it really did help keep all the looming anxiety from consuming him. Grillby grabbed for the rest of the burger Papyrus had specially made to finish it off. "Well, I have to say I'm very happy about accepting your applications. I think the two of you will flourish here. Just don't be shy to let me know if you have any concerns about your work, all right?" ---- “Aww, of course, Sans!” Denise smiled back at him and gave his back a little comforting rub before returning to eating her burger. Once Grillby spoke, she looked up at him and grinned widely. “Really? Oh, thank you so much, Mr. Grillby!” “NYEH HEH HEH! But of course you would hire the greatest chef on the surface! Er, make that the greatest chefs.” He grinned sheepishly at Denise. Denise giggled, feeling very shy at the praise that she didn’t exactly feel like she deserved. “It's okay, Papyrus. I know I've still got a lot to learn, but you've got all the techniques and styles and timings in the bag.” “Thank you, Denise! And I know you'll become an excellent chef yourself in no time if you're working with Grillby!” ---- Sans happily arched his eyes at the rub, shivering a little at the pleasant touch. Grazing from his plate, he made small chit-chat with Grillby about Surface life until quite a bit of the food had been polished off and his milkshake was gone. Pushing his plate slightly away, he leaned back. Grillby looked at the three of them warmly. "When you're finished, I'll clean the rest of this up. You're free to head home for the day when you're ready." ---- “Thanks a lot, Grillby! We'll be sure to come in for training again with Sans! After all, he's the only one who can eat all this food we just made today in one sitting.” He chuckled as he picked Sans up in his arms. “Let's go, lazybones.” “Hehe, isn't that the truth? Good-bye, Mr. Grillby! See you tomorrow!” Denise waved to the fire monster with a happy smile. ---- "heheh, how could i pass up the opportunity for more amazing food? oh wait, let me grab my papers before we head out!" "See you tomorrow. Thanks for your attentiveness today, Denise." Grillby began to pile the plates and stack the trays. ---- “No problem!” “I got them.” Papyrus scooped up the papers and handed them to Sans before walking out with Denise. “Now that's what I call an excitingly productive day of cookery!” ---- "thanks, bro! heh, i'm really happy for you! and you too, denise!" He smiled at them. "you wanna walk off lunch, or would you like to take a shortcut home?" ---- “Yeah, we can take a shortcut,” the human replied. “There's nothing I'd love to do more right about now than fall into a food coma, heheh.” “A coma?!” Papyrus’ sockets widened. “No, we're walking if it'll keep you from sleeping for a week! I will not let you become as lazy as my brother!” Denise laughed behind a hand. “No, a food coma is just a nap after you've eaten food.” “Ohhhhh. You humans have horrible word usages for simple things!” ---- Chuckling, Sans nodded. "i could go for a nap too. but after that, don't forget you agreed to let me see if you're really not ticklish." He grinned before teleporting them all to the living room of their house, then suddenly gave a dizzy groan. Hand flying to his mouth, he glanced up. "ah...! don't worry ... i'm okay...." ---- “Hehehee, don’t worry, I’ll remember.” Denise stumbled a bit after the teleportation and grinned ecstatically. “That's still so cool!” Papyrus chuckled sympathetically. “I'll bring you up to your room, okay?” He made his way up to Sans' room and places him down in his bed before tucking him in. “You okay, brother? Just rest and you should be.” ---- "yeah, thanks pap," Sans said quietly and gratefully, making sure his papers made it safely to his nightstand, now feeling very cozy — then he noticed Angel's resting form. "oh, looks like i have a visitor too, heheh." ---- Angel stayed in her position until Papyrus left, and once she was sure he was gone, she mewled sadly, climbing up on Sans' chest, nestling close to his cheek and neck. ---- Sans blinked open his eyes as he felt her start to walk, watching her settle down. "oh, hey, cutie," he cooed softly. "heh, i'm not gonna uncover these ribs, but i'll pet'cha. is that what you want?" He pulled an arm out from under the covers, hovering his hand close to her cheek in a friendly manner. ---- Angel kept her chin rested on her paws, not leaning her head into his hand like she usually would; she didn't even look up at Sans. Her ears folded back and her tail slowly curled up on her side. ---- Sans looked concerned. "hey.... you're lookin' kinda ... sad there...." He softly lowered the backs of his fingers to stroke her head. "i know the feeling.... but you're so young, you should be carefree. what happened, huh?" ---- She looked up at Sans in fear, anxious of the thought of Papyrus’ brother freaking out. Giving a small huff, she opened her mouth to meow ... but what came out wasn't a meow. “Does Papyrus love me?...” ---- Sans lightly jumped with wide eyes. "w-w-what....!? did i actually fall asleep or something?" He gave his skull a light tap near his ear, blinking down at the kitten, gently holding her while he sat up so he wouldn't jostle her too much. "c-can you really talk? ...why would you think pap doesn't love ya?" ---- Angel yelped and flinched at his outburst, but managed to keep herself from fleeing. At the question, she timidly answered, “I-I bit that talking flower and ate a part of his leaf. I think his, um, magic got into me. He.... He told me Papyrus doesn't love me. He told me he only rescued me because I'm a cat, and if I were some other animal he'd let me drown in the sewers. Plus, if he found out I could talk, he might abandon me like Mama did and get a new non-talking kitten. The flower's known him longer than I have ... so he must be telling the truth. But you genuinely like me, so I wanna be your kitten instead. Please ... I don't wanna be alone again....” She nuzzled Sans under his chin and mewled pitifully, as if she were crying. ---- Sans got over his initial shock rather quickly. He was well enough used to talking animal monsters, it just had been so unexpected. He listened to her with a soft expression, gently petting at her back as she started to nuzzle him. "hey ... hey.... you're not alone, angel," he started in a soothing voice. "that flower doesn't care about anyone but himself. are you really gonna heed his advice? listen, i've known pap longer than flowey has—" He twitched as he realized that might not technically be true. But he was sure he knew Papyrus better in any case. "and lemme tell ya, he's the most caring, loving guy i know. he wouldn't have let'cha drown no matter who ya are. if he saw you in trouble, he'd do whatever he can to help. after we all left, he asked me if i thought you'd be okay left with flowey. i thought you would be, but i guess i was wrong. so ... i'd let'cha be my kitten if ya really wanted, but you'd be missin' out on the greatest companion a kitty could ask for." ---- Angel looked up at him as he spoke, and she let out a little squeak. She was so stupid taking advice from a stupid flower! This monster was Papyrus' brother; he'd know far better about him than that foul-tasting plant ever could. Guilt washed over her, but so did relief in knowing Papyrus would never disown her, or that he rescued her just because she was his dream pet. A new wave of anxiety washed away the relief as she looked down. “But ... how will he react to me being able to speak? What if he gets more freaked out than you were and....” ---- Sans started to chuckle quietly. "are you kidding? pap will think it's so cool! don't worry, you just startled me. i'm not really freaked out, see? you've seen me actually freaked out, heheh." He gave her a softly teasing grin, gently stroking her cheek. "and i'm not mad about that either. just, my ribs are really sensitive, and you're really soft, you rascal." ---- Feeling much better, she purred lightly with laughter and her whiskers twitched. “Sorry about that, it's just so small and comfy. It's just an all-around great place to hide in. But I'll try to keep from going in there again if it bothers you that much. Unless you tick me off, that is.” She narrowed her orange eyes at him playfully. ---- "don't make the kitty mad. got it." He chuckled and rubbed at the base of her ear. "would ya like me to take you to pap so you can see how much he loves ya? or you wanna hang out and nap with me for a little while first? you must'a had a pretty traumatic morning. i'm sorry...." ---- “You wouldn't mind if I just hung out in here with you, would you? I'm ... not really ready to face him yet. And this morning wasn't all bad; I did get yummy jerky and I knocked over Flowey's flowerpot off the windowsill. That was really funny!” She purred loudly as she swished her tail in amusement. ---- "course i don't mind, i understand. ....y-you did? dang ... wish i could get away with that...." he laughed weakly, glancing away and then back. "you probably shouldn't do that again, but i think that deserves a high-five! ...or paw, heh." He stuck out his hand close to her front paws with a grin. ---- “Yeah, I know better than to do that or else he'll tattle to the nice goat monster. But it was still fun!” She gently batted his hand with a paw. “Wow, it feels really weird to talk monster language. It feels so easy to do it, though. I wonder if that non-monster would be able to understand me, too. Do you think, Papyrus' brother?” She tilted her head off to the side curiously. “Sorry, I didn't really get your name, so I’d always call you Papyrus' brother.” ---- Sans grinned and resumed petting her, then shrugged. "it's possible you can talk to the humans too, it just depends on whether you're talkin' directly to receptive magic or physically speaking. and my name is sans." He chuckled, grin broadening. "but i don't mind being known as pap's bro — he's awesome!" ---- Angel purred loudly as she rolled over on her back, exposing her soft white underbelly. “Is that what they're called? Humans? I always called them Twolegs because they walked on their hind legs, but then I started calling them non-monsters because they're not monsters like you guys are.” ---- She was so adorable, Sans couldn't help tilting his head adoringly at her. "yeah, they're humans. some are nicer than others, but i suppose that's true for any race, really. the humans that live here are both very nice." He tentatively hovered a non-threatening hand over her belly. "may i...?" ---- “Yeah, the shorter one is very nice, she likes to let me chase around that string attached to those black things she puts over her head when humming to something on a weird small rectangular thingy.” She flinched a bit at the hand, but slowly lifted her paws away. “Okay, but be careful, my belly's really ticklish. And don't think about tickling me unless you want a dozen bite marks in your hand!” ---- Sans chuckled softly at her description, then nodded. "i'll be careful. hey, at least you've got some good incentives not to tickle ya. if i had claws or sharp teeth i wonder how many people would dare tickle me anymore, heh." Lowering his hand carefully, he brushed in the natural direction of her fur with the backs of his fingers. ---- Purring loudly as she wrapped her forepaws around Sans' hand, she made sure to keep her claws sheathed. “That actually feels really nice....” ---- "ya like that? oh, good, heheh." Smiling happily, he continued to stroke her belly in the same manner, finding the action and her soft fur soothing. "could you understand any of us before you could talk yourself?" ---- “Um.... Yes and no. I could understand some things like my name and a monster's tone of voice if they're happy or sad or angry, but anything else you all said went over my head. I guess that magical leaf gave me the intelligence of a monster as well so I can better understand monsters and humans rather than just talk to them.” ---- "oh, good, i would hate for you to have really understood all those embarrassing things about myself i was tellin' ya in pap's room last night." He grinned at her cheekily with a playful wink. ---- She purred in amusement. “Yeah, consider yourself very lucky.” ---- With a small laugh, he withdrew his hand from her stomach, gathering her up in a gentle cuddle. "i hope ya feel better. pap really does love you. and i do too." Slowly and softly, he gave a brief press of his teeth against her head, making sure his grasp was loose enough for her to easily get out of if she needed to as he closed his sockets ---- Angel purred softly as she nuzzled into his embrace. “I know, and I'm really happy. I've never been loved before, and it feels absolutely amazing. I love you all, too.” ---- Sans smiled peacefully with a hum, gently being lulled to sleep by her purring. ---- Papyrus finished changing out of his work uniform and back into his trademark battle body and walked downstairs towards the kitchen. He remembered he had promised Flowey he would hang out with him after training and, as much as he didn't really want to, he knew that if he didn't, Flowey might suspect something was off. Leaving Denise to her food coma in his bedroom, he walked into the kitchen, blinking in surprise as Flowey was now nestled in a glass jar on the floor around shattered flowerpot shards and soil not scooped into the jar. “Uhhh.... Care to explain what happened here, Flowey?” ---- Looking up at Papyrus, Flowey gestured to the sill. "Your cat knocked down my pot. She just got too curious, it was an accident. The jar's just a temporary solution, but I wasn't really able to clean up the mess." He waved his leaves in a helpless sort of manner. ---- “Oh, dear.... I'm really sorry about that. I told her to stay away.” He picked Flowey up by the jar. “Well, I'll be sure to buy a new flowerpot for you tomorrow. In the meantime, you said you wanted to hang out?” ---- Flowey shrugged. "When do cats ever listen, right? Anyway, I'm glad you remembered, Papyrus! I've missed hanging out with my greatest friend!" He glanced outside. "It still looks a little gloomy, but I could sure go for stretching my roots if you're up for a walk?" ---- “Well, cats will be cats, I suppose. I'll just bring my umbrella, just in case it rains again.” He trotted to the front door to grab his umbrella before heading outside with Flowey in his arms, but not before calling out to Sans, “Hey, Sans! I'm going out for a little! I'll be back shortly!” Angel pricked her ears and raised her head at the sound of her owner's voice. Sliding silently out of Sans' hold, careful not to wake him, she scampered downstairs and leapt up on the coffee table to peer out the window. She saw Papyrus walking away with something in his arm, and upon looking back in the kitchen she figured he had taken Flowey with him. She didn't trust Flowey one bit, especially alone with Papyrus. ---- Leaning his head back against Papyrus's chest-piece, Flowey looked up with a grin. "So, how did your job training go, friend? I want to hear all about it! Did Sans stay with you the whole time?" ---- “It was so much fun!” Papyrus forced an excited grin. “Grillby said Denise and I are true naturals! He even said my cooking was fit to please King Asgore himself! And yes, Sans did stay there the entire time. He was filling out paperwork for a job opening as a scientist in the quantum physics field. I'm really proud of him!” Angel scampered into the kitchen and leapt up on the counter, observing the little opening in the window Flowey had made when he had gotten her jerky earlier. She squeezed her way through the little opening with ease thanks to her still slightly malnourished and thin body and climbed down the rocky staircase to the grassy ground below. Sniffing the air, she picked up Papyrus' scent and began to follow the trail, making sure not to be seen by anyone. ---- "Golly, that's amazing! Though I guess after that dinner you cooked last night, it's to be expected! Wow, Sans is applying for a job too? Quantum physics, huh? That sounds really ambitious! ...I guess that means the two of you won't be spending as much time at home, will you?" He gazed off to the side, expression rather sad. ---- “No, I'm afraid not.... We'll all be having very tight schedules once training finishes at the end of the week.” ---- "Golly, it's going to be so lonely when everyone's out all the time ... hmm...." He tapped a leaf against his mouth as if deliberating. "If Sans does start working at a lab, I wonder if he'd let me go with him? I could be a cheery workplace plant, hehe!" ---- Papyrus jolted a bit. Pfft, yeah right, as if anyone would let you in such an area. As if I myself would leave you alone with Sans like that. “Sorry, but I don't think Lady Toriel would allow that. You'd be better off staying home.” ---- "Toriel wouldn't?" Flowey paused, looking up scrutinizingly. "...or you?" ---- Papyrus stopped dead in his tracks, sockets widening in surprise. He quickly recovered from the shock and furrowed his brows. “What do you mean? I have no rule over things; Lady Toriel does. After all, she is the owner of the house and the former queen of the monsters.” ---- Flowey tilted his head. "That may be so, but don't think I haven't noticed that you don't ever let me be alone with your brother. You say you've forgiven me, but that doesn't seem like a sign of trust, friend. Unless it's all just a bunch of coincidences...?" ---- “Wh-what, are you telling me I'm not allowed to spend as much time as possible with my brother? I love spending time with him, and he needs to get out of the house more often anyway. He needs to learn how to stop being so lazy all day.” Papyrus was beginning to internally panic. ---- "I like to spend a little time with him, too, he rescued me from the Underground after all. It's not like I want to hog all his attention or steal him away from you." Flowey replied. "Would you have a problem, then, if I wanted to hang out with him, too, one-on-one outside like this?" ---- “U-ummm...!” Oh, this was bad. Very, very bad! What should he say? If he said yes, Sans would get tortured by this little beast twice as often. But if he said no, Flowey would question him into a corner and he'd be forced to spill the beans. Either way, any answer he gave would screw Sans over big time. Some brother he was for letting this happen. “I-I ... uhh....” ---- Flowey watched as he stuttered, then lowered his gaze. "I see.... You don't trust me, do you? Do you really want to be friends again? Are you lying to me? Why?" ---- “N-no, you don't understand, I want to be you friend! It's just.... Issues I can't really talk about. But it has nothing to do with you.” Some excuse that was. Panic was keeping him from thinking clearly. He never should have agreed to hang out.... ---- "We used to talk about everything! That's what friends do! You'll let Sans be alone with anyone but me! You're quick to jump to watering me in his place! You hold his hand around me! Golly, it really seems like it has something to do with me...!" Flowey quivered in place for a moment, then sighed. "You're the greatest friend I have, Papyrus ... I don't want it to be a lie.... You can tell me what's on your mind. If you think I'll be mad or something, I won't be. I just want to hear what you have to say." ---- “I.... I.... I'm sorry, Flowey, I can't say.... I just can't....” He lowered his head a bit. ---- Flowey stayed quiet for a moment. "...Then can I guess? Am I on the right track? Does it have something to do with me and Sans?" ---- “I-I think it's time we head back home.... I'm getting kinda tired from training....” He began to speed walk back home. ---- "I see...." Flowey was fairly certain now. It all fit together in hindsight. The garbage skeleton must have been a tattletale again. "Did Sans tell you about our deal?" ---- “Huh? What deal?” He tried to sound as genuinely confused as possible. Oh, stars, he screwed up! Now Sans is going to really feel his wrath; that was if he didn't RESET everything first! ---- "...Papyrus, you'd do anything for Sans, wouldn't you?" ---- Papyrus slowed down his walking a bit. “O-of course I would, I'd give my life for him.... Wh-why?...” ---- "Of course. You're such a great brother, Papyrus. So, if something unspeakable was happening to Sans ... something you couldn't talk about ... would you be willing to take his place...?" ---- Papyrus jumped and his breath caught in his throat. What a devastating thought, to be tickle tortured for who knew how long whenever Flowey wanted. But.... If he didn't accept this offer, Sans would be the victim. He did say he would do anything for him, and if this was the only way to end his suffering.... He lowered his head and sighed in defeat. “Y-yes....” ---- Flowey looked up at Papyrus consideringly. "All right. Let's talk, friend. Why don't you find a place to sit down?" ---- “O-okay....” Trembling in fear, but relieved that Sans was finally safe, he made his way towards the woods on the outside of Golden Valley where no one would bother them. Angel’s eyes widened in alarm as she watched and listened. She didn't know exactly what was going on, but she knew it was bad, something that was terrifying Papyrus. With silent stealth, she slipped through the grass and quietly sped back home. She had to tell Sans!

That Night
On a night like any other in the city of Paris Chat Noir stands alone on the ledge of a roof finishing another of his nightly patrols thinking about the last thing he heard his lady say.
"How long has it been since she said that 'Chat I'm going to have to leave Paris for a while' that's what Milady said at least but it's been almost a month now and she still isn't back yet. Plagg, Claws In". He chuckled "Adrien Agreste, known Paris wide as the son and model of Gabriel Agreste and known as Chat Noir by no one but himself and his cheese loving Kwami" he turned to Plagg tossing him a slice of Camembert.
"Oh come on kid, it's been nearly a month since the last Akuma and you're still out here every night pulling double shifts to protect a sleeping city lets call it early tonight and get some well deserved sleep". Plagg was right though he didn't really mind the extra patrols considering that Paris had been unusually quiet but Adrien was willing to take any excuse he could find to get out of his house. When Plagg finished his cheese he transformed into Chat Noir once more and was about to start heading toward his house but just as he did an Akuma fluttered past him before phasing through the roof into the building below. He peered over the ledge looking for where it could have gone, his eyes widening as he heard a voice coming from an open window.
Inside the building the Akuma had already found its target on their knees sobbing quietly holding a toy cap gun stylized to look like a cowboy’s revolver. The sobbing young man was unaware of the Akuma that had entered the room until it reached the cap gun and a voice flooded his head. "You have had some one most dear to you stolen away and now you have the power to take what's dearest to others. In return you must get me the Miraculous of Chat Noir and Ladybug".
"Yes Papillon Wild Willy West will not disappoint" Chat was only able to watch as what he presumed to be a mourning brother was transformed into a wild west cowboy. Wild Willy turned to see Chat Noir staring at him in the window "Well aint this a pleasant surprise" he yelled before throwing a stick of dynamite through the window at the peeping cat. Chat dodged letting it hit fall but quickly dove for the stick before it blew, throwing it into the air as high as he could from a lying position. Wild Willy stuck his head out the window when Chat dove and was met with the stick of dynamite flying past him. The resulting explosion shattered glass, shook roof tiles, and left both Chat and Willy shell-shocked despite having braised themselves. Chat’s ears were ringing, his vision was blurry and shifting, he struggled to breath, the concussion wave had hit him the worst and he was in no condition to walk, let alone fight.
Willy was a little shaky, his ears were ringing and he had a few cuts from the shattered glass but he was otherwise fine, he got to his feet and stumbled over to the window. He tried to see how Chat had fared but the looming smoke and dust was too thick for him to see the street, not wanting to push his luck with a multi story drop. Figuring that Chat was probably in the same if not a worse situation Willy chose to use the stairs to get to the roof and make his escape. Chat was still on the street slowly regaining the ability to breathe properly, when he was able he grabbed his staff and used it to vault himself onto the roofs.
Unfortunately for Chat in his impaired state he misjudged the distance and he over shot sending him crashing into a set of chimneys the force of the impact dislocated his shoulder. Willy had reached the roofs on the opposite side shortly after, both saw each other and could tell neither were in any condition to fight. Shakily Willy raised his gun taking aim at the injured Chat laying helpless half buried in rubble from broken chimneys taking potshots as he escaped. Chat had only made his condition worse, he couldn't breath again and his vision had gone red. Most of Willy's shots missed sparking with a ricochet but a few managed to graze him with some cutting deeper than others. He couldn't move and Wild Willy was getting away and with no options left Chat used the power of his Miraculous.
"CATACLYSM" at his touch the ruble that was holding him down crumbled and decayed into dust but he was in an even worse position now than he was after the explosion. *BEEP BEEP* "Damn it" he spat "Plagg, Claws In" the pain suddenly compounded all at once as the magic that partly protected him wore off. Adrien let out a howl of pain and anger as the pieces of shrapnel and debris that had embedded themselves in his skin made themselves known. A simple brush off was sufficient for most but some needed to be pulled out though nothing caused anything more than minor bleeding and flesh wounds. Plagg watched in silence "You ok there bud you're being awfully quiet over there"
"huh-oh yeah yeah I'm fine just a little surprised that's all" Adrien looked at him with an expression of concern mixed with twinges of pain. "Oh no I should be giving you that look, you're the one who's all jacked up right now" there was real concern in Plaggs voice and Adrien could hear it.
With a smile Adrien replied "Plagg, I'll be fine really" he reached into his pocket pulling out an unopened tin of Camembert "Here, I'm going to work you pretty hard tonight so you've earned it". Plagg's eyes were sparkling and his mouth was watering but he stopped himself from immediately devouring the stinky goodness before him.
"Wait what do you mean 'going' to be working me?" he asked with a suspicious look.
A smirk crossed Adrien's face"Well we can't exactly let Wild Willy West run around Paris while I lick my wounds now can we".
As Plagg slowly began to savor his Camembert he shook his head "Adrien, you need a hospital not another round with that cowboy".
Adrien scoffed "And what am I supposed to say when my body guard shows up or my dad's secretary shows up 'sorry I snuck out in the middle of the night, I just wanted to go for a walk when an akumatized cowboy threw a stick of dynamite'". He got to his feet ramming his shoulder against what was left of the chimneys twice "Yeah I'm sure that will go over well" on the third try his shoulder realigned and the rest of the chimneys crumbled.
"If Ladybug or any of the other team members were here they-" Plagg tried to argue but Adrien cut him off
Adrien's hands were in the air and his voice was raised"Well Ladybug isn't here and I don't know who any of the other heros are ,only Ladybug does, and even if I did, I don't know how or where she gets the other Miraculous from". He stepped back not realizing that he had taken a step forward then sighed "You're right I should but right now you and me are the only thing standing between him and Paris. I won't confront him I promise but I at least want to know where he's going then when we're done I'll go get checked out". Plagg was taken aback at the suddenness of Adriens anger but he could understand it and was genuinely sad that he couldn't tell him about the guardian not yet.
With a sigh of his own this time Plagg agreed "Alright fine but only watch and then you’re getting checked out, deal". With a nod and a smile Adrien agreed to the arrangement. A few short moments later Plagg finished his cheese and Adrien condition had gotten to a point that he could tail Wild Willy.
"PLAGG, CLAWS OUT" Chat was back but he wasn't for a fight let alone a shoot out but if he was going to tail Willy he'd have to find him first. Chat started by heading in the same direction he saw Willy heading.
In the meantime Willy had also recovered from his shell shock and was deliberating what kind of trap he would set for Chat Noir. He was hiding in the underground maintenance tunnels that connected the Paris subway system like a labyrinth which made an ambush a no brainer decision but that wasn't Wild Willy's way. As Willy wandered the tunnels Chat swept the surface for any sign of the cowboy despite searching the entire city. Eventually Willy stumbled across an abandoned train car storage and repair station with a few cars still in mostly one piece.
Wild Willy smiled devilishly "hehehee I think this'll do just fine" he stepped into one of the older cars whose wood was rotting and falling off. Within a few minutes he had created a small campsite complete with fire and a cooking pot he had found in an old dining car. "Hoooo boy now I've got myself a place to wait". Just as he finished his sentence a voice popped into his head.
"Can you hear me, what are you doing? Chat Noir was vulnerable and alone why didn't you take his Miraculous! You fool now he will definitely have Ladybug with him" Willy shook his head as he listened.
"Listen hear partner, I don't know where you been but last I saw him neither of us were in a condition to be fighten with each other. And even if that some 'Ladybug' does come with him "
Back on the surface Chat was beginning to lose his patience "Aaaghh where could he be he couldn't have just disappeared" then a thought ran through his head "He couldn't have been stripped of his Akuma has he?". Chat shook his head quickly dismissing the thought "No Hawk Moth isn't one to waste a villain" He rubbed his chin thinking of where Wild Willy could be. After a minute or two Chat came to the realization that there was only one place Willy could have gone and he was less than excited to follow him down there.
Chat ran to the nearest underground subway entrance, a stripe of pain shooting up his arm reminded him that he was only tracking him. Once in the tunnels he searched for any signs of the cowboy but once again it seemed like Chat was going to come up empty. That's what it was seeming to be at least, until a faint sound of crackling came from a maintenance tunnel that branched off from the main train tunnel. The sound would have been too quiet for someone with normal hearing to notice but Chat Noir has cat enhanced hearing.
With a claw he made two marks ,one on the outside and inside of the tunnel, and headed deeper following the faint crackle of a fire somewhere inside that labyrinth. The dimness of the old guide lights illuminated the nearly pitch black tunnels, the air was stagnant and a thick dusty fog filled it. Even with his ability to see in the dark visibility was so low chat could barely see a few feet in front of him but he pressed further marking every turn he made, every tunnel he entered. As he pressed on the sound became louder and louder and eventually he could smell the smoke and began following that scent.
Following nothing but the sound of a crackling fire and the smell of smoke through the labyrinth Chat saw a small flickering orange glow emanating from the tunnel entrance ahead. He approached with caution not knowing what kind of trap his opponent had set if any, as he crept closer to the entrance Chat could see that the room he was entering opened up significantly. Willy was still sound asleep with his hat covering his face and gun in hand, Chat was weary of waking him up but if he could subdue him while he was asleep then he could wait for Ladybug.
The problem was finding something to subdue him with Chat hadn't planned on having the opportunity to catch him without a fight. He cast his gaze around the large chamber filled with train cars scattered about in various states of decay. Moving to the closest one he began rummaging through the dust covered trunks looking for anything he could use to tie up Willy. Finding nothing he used the roof access hatch to exit the car but felt something pull at his leg as he took a step. A bundle of steel rails swung down impacting Chat with tremendous force sending into a wall with a meaty thud, he had no time to react as the air was forced from his lungs.
The rails broke free of their bindings flying into and destroying the car Chat had just fallen onto ,mercifully, he wasn't buried or paralyzed but he wasn't knocked unconscious either. The commotion shook Willy awake who brought his gun up ready for a fight but he wasn't sure if his deadfall trap had worked. Chat's vision was ,for the third time that night, blurry but it cleared much quicker than it had the last time and he was already getting to his feet. A cloud of dust was between them blocking the others view, Willy looked around frantically anticipating an attack from somewhere while Chat shakily got to his feet using his staff as support. As the dust slowly settled Willy saw a figure with glowing green eyes through the cloud in front of him and aimed for center mass.
Chat saw Willy standing on the other side of the cloud with his gun pointed right at him, Willy fired twice aiming for non-vitals. Both shots hit their mark piercing the leaving holes where they pierced the cloud "Give up yer Miraculous and I'll take you to a doctor myself" he yelled taking aim for Chats head next. Chat spat blood clenching his teeth so hard it hurt but he wasn't going to hand over Plagg.
With a deep breath "Hah I'm not handing you anything, you cow licker" Chat took a stance while extending his staff behind him holding his wounds and readying for a last ditch effort of a swing.
Pulling the hammer to half cocked "Those your final words partner?" Willy asked.
"Nope, these are: MAXIMUM EFFORT!" Chat yelled letting go of his wounds and bit down swinging his staff full force at Willy's head, instinctively Willy flinched causing his shot to go wild. The shot hit Chat in the face knocking off his own aim causing the swing to hit Willy's shooting hand sending the gun sliding across the floor. Willy gripped his hand in pain as the bones had mostly shattered from the force of Chats strike. Chat was still standing but leaning back and to one side his ears wrung, he could only see in crimson, his ears felt like they were stuffed with cotton.
Chat slowly rotated his body to bend forward glaring at his opponent, Willy stared in horror as what he had just done was illuminated by the light of his fire as the dust settled. Remnant pieces of flesh were all that remained of what was once the left side of Chat Noirs face, his teeth clearly visible, the bullet caught between them, blood flowing from the wound. The bullet dropped as Chat let out a deep exhale the ping of the bullet bouncing off the rubble shook Willy from his stupor and he began to take jerky stumbling steps back still holding his hand.
Chat reached out with his free hand ,the other was clutching his staff and wounds, Willy stumbled back and fell. He pissed his pants looking for where his weapon had slid to once he saw it he scrambled to his feet desperately trying to get away. Once up he ran for his gun and sprinted down the same tunnel Chat had entered from. As much as Chat wanted to he couldn't chase Wild Willy he was losing too much blood too quickly, he needed a hospital now.
Slowly he began to head toward the exit that led to the tunnels he had marked but as he passed the fire he noticed a bottle next to the fire. Fighting through the pain he limped over to the bottle, it was unopened the label read "Quality Whiskey, 1987, 70 proof" without a second thought he opened it. Half spilling out of the open side of his mouth downed a gulp of the hard liquor welcoming the burn as it went down, almost immediately the pain began to dull. His crimson vision had faded slightly and was beginning to return to normal but it was still difficult to see or hear getting to the surface was going to be difficult.
With another gulp and clenched teeth Chat began to shamble out of the tunnels using his staff as a cane in one hand and a bottle in the other. After what felt like an eternity and a third of his bottle later he was out of the underground and as fate would have it near a hospital. He hesitated staring at the giant glowing sign he couldn't just go inside but he didn't have time to be indecisive. Just then someone dressed in a nurses outfit walked out the front door possibly finishing up her shift, he needed to get her attention "Hey-AAGH!" he yelled in pain. Her head shot up in surprise, it took her a moment to spot him in the darkness when she did she gasped in horror.
"OH MY GOD" she rushed over to him "WE NEED TO GET YOU INSIDE" she moved to assist him with his walking.
"NO-AGH! no" he protested adding "I need-I need to keep my identity a secret" he coughed violently, spitting up blood.
"You've been shot and I don't even know what happened to your face you need a doctor" she countered. He knew she was right but he couldn't risk his identity.
"Set me down in the over there-nngh" he motioned to the alley just to the right of the front entrance.
"NO-no you're delusional" she said with concern in her voice.
"Please-" He looked her in the eye with a pleading expression.
After a pregnant pause "F-fine" she let him down slowly setting just around the corner near the door. His arms fell limp but he kept hold of the bottle it was the only thing that had kept him conscious and relatively numb
She stammered "W-wait here I-I'll go get help just-just don't move" she was about to run off but Chat's voice stopped her
"If you really want to help-agh get me some long tweezers, bandages, and pain killer a lot of them". She nodded and ran. He could only hope she would listen to him, chuckling to himself he thought "Never thought I'd be asking some unfortunate nurse for enough pain killers to tranq a horse in a back alley of a hospital". He raised the bottle to eye level swirling the liquid "But I guess even black cats can have a stroke of luck from time to time". Not even a minute later the nurse returned with everything he asked for and more, he was more than thankful.
"I-is there anything else I can do to help?" she asked, handing the medical supplies to Chat. As they made the trade off he thought for a moment. Then he spoke in as kind of tone as he could manage, which ended up sounding more apologetic than thankful.
"Y-nngh yeah could you help me patch myself up, digging out a bullet is easier when you're not the one who got shot agh" he looked to see the nurses response but was surprised to see her crying.
"Of course" then reaching down offering him a leather strip saying "to bite down on, you'll need it" he let go of his bottle taking the strip placing it in his exposed teeth and nodded. Both began to tend to his wounds without another word as Chat unzipped his suit with only the occasional grunt breaking the silence. One of the two bullets that hit his abdomen went through but the other buried itself too deep for the tweezers to reach so Chat used a claw to cut a hole for the nurse to reach deeper.
They had finished bandaging his grazes and bullet wounds and were cutting away the hanging flesh from his mouth when *BEEP BEEP* his time was almost up. The sound caught the attention of the nurse who gave him a concerned look. He motioned for her to go and she hesitantly complied.

Alpharad’s CPUCS - The Novel, Chapter 1: Welcome New Smash Brothers & Sisters! (Part 1)
7th December 2018, long awaited... has finally arrived!
In a Realm far from our reach, a special event called the “Super Smash Bros Games” opens up every few years where the best come together for a series of duels & competitions to reignite relations & create new ones. This particular one is the 5th in the line of many, marking the 19th Anniversary of these games.
Among those games, a particular set of Tournaments are organized to pit the best of the best against each other for supremacy & bragging rights called the “CPU Championships”, fully sponsored by a one “Alpharad”. No one really remembers why they were labelled with the abbreviation “CPU”, but the name stuck out of respect to those old traditions. The first of the CPU Championships (CPUC for short) is about to begin.
The sun rose to a huge crowd converging to see the first of the CPUCs take place. The streets were packed, some conversing, some running stands or shops, others organizing & watching over the festivities. Sometime later, a familiar voices echoes through the speakers to the masses’ ears… it was Mario!
Mario: “Thank you so much everyone for joining us today! We are-a happy to begin these Championships as we have always done for 19 Years! To begin & for a warm welcome, today’s Challengers will be this season’s Returners &-a New Comers! Let’s-a GO!”
The Coliseum Doors open as everyone rushes in to take their seats. While medieval in design, the Smash Coliseum houses the latest in recreational technology, allowing it to emulate almost any Battle Stage with various Hazards & Features. So it begins, the first ever CPUC of this season pits new comers & returning veterans against each other!

With spectators so excited you could hear them cheer thousands of miles away, Mario strikes the Smash Bell signifying the beginning... of the Tournament!
Match No. 1- Pichu vs. Incineroar
The battle started with both Fighters sizing each other up as they tried to fixate their footing on the moving stage “3D Land”, a very odd start for an opening Match. In reality however, one of the Competitors was a little uneasy about the match-up.
Incineroar: “(Is the audience gonna be OK with me pummeling this little guy?)”
Incineroar did his best to keep things even between him & Pichu to avoid any backlash, especially when you consider that most of this fan base are young passionate fans. All this wasn’t helped by the fact that Pichu was doing sloppily at first, and when he opened with a Headbutt Attack, he missed… nearly throwing himself out-of-bounds.
Pichu: “T-That was close… Sorry Mr. Incineroar!”
Incineroar: “Watch your positioning boy! (I need to handle this fight carefully…)”
Incineroar continues to pull his punches on Pichu, literally staging acts like nearly going out-of-bounds himself by falling behind & missing a Lariat Attack on purpose. But much to his surprise as soon as Pichu started landing a few hits, his momentum kept building up & eventually, he started showing acrobatics that are on par with the likes of Sheikh & Zero Samus! Even Incineroar couldn’t keep up with him!
Pichu wasn’t known to be the most capable Fighter many years ago because he never measured up to all the other competitors. But this time, it was clear to Incineroar & everyone else that this is a new Pichu standing before them!
Incineroar: “Have you been training?”
Pichu: “Y-Yes! Every day since I was invited again.”
Incineroar: “Then show me the new fire in you!”
They clashed without hesitation, sparks of fire & thunder flying with every punch, every kick, every grab, showing a passion for competition that is exactly what followers of these tournaments look for! With full vigor, the two unleash their Final Smash Arts, “Max Malicious Moonsault” & “Volt Tackle”! Incineroar tries to hold Pichu with his bare hands, but then Pichu slips right through sending a flurry of electric charges everywhere! Finally, the burning wrestler flies off the stage unable to recover back. The winner is… PICHU!
Incineroar: “N… Nice one boy. *Wheeze* should’ve known you had it in ya all along...”
Pichu: “S-Sorry Mr. Incineroar… & thank you!”
Match No. 2- Ridley vs. Ice Climbers
Nana: “Uuuh Popo, why does this guy look like the Pterodactyl who keeps stealing our vegetables??”
Popo: “Isn’t he the one people have wanted in these games for years? He looks kinda silly up close, haha!”
That last statement… could not be far from the truth; Ridley isn’t just vicious, but also has a troll like demeanor. The battle started out normally with both sides equally exchanging attacks… until.
Ridley suddenly grabs Popo by the face & drags his body on the ground towards the stage boarder… along with himself?! He then makes a hard stop at the last second, walking away from Popo with a wide grin on his face as if holding back laughter…
Nana: “Are you OK Popo?!”
Popo: “I-I-I’m fine… Come on, let’s get this maniac…!”
The two climbers reform & charge on ahead, but it’s becoming clear that Ridley’s earlier act was enough to throw their well-spoken teamwork out the window. Discoordination, miscommunication, losing track of each other, far too often have have they found them selves on opposite sides away from each other, & Ridley was taking full advantage of these missteps to further crush their focus. Even to the point of taunting the duo mid-fight.
Alas, while they were retreating to retrace & regroup, they’ve failed to notice the pit behind them & fell in together… & Ridley laughed & mocked them the whole way through. The winner is… RIDLEY!
Ridley: “RAAAAAHAHAHAHA!!”
Popo: “He played us… the whole TIME!”
Nana: “Calm down Popo, we’ll get another shot next time…”
Both Climbers leave the ring, with Popo clenching his fist in disgrace…
Match No. 3- King K. Rool vs. Solid Snake
Solid Snake: “A giant crocodile?? Is this karma for all the crocodiles Big Boss ate years ago??”
Otacon: “Careful Snake! He may look like a glutton, but he’s strong & also commands an army powerful enough to occupy an entire Island!”
Solid Snake: “OK then… Bring it on Big Croc!”
King K. Rool: “That’s KROC to you, Onesie Man!!”
Snake’s faster & more nimble, so the Espionage Legend had the towering reptile beat in Close-Quarters-Combat “CQC”. However, K. Rool’s body armour was harder than Snake was anticipating. More shockingly, the armour was also flexible enough to deflect & outsight counter attacks.
Solid Snake: “My attacks haven’t even dented that thing?!”
King K. Rool: “*BELLY SLAP!* Do your worst, stick figure! Hehehee!”
Snake slowly escalates towards using firearms & explosives, but could hardly scratch that armour, let alone launch him out of the ground! The Kroc King also started using his own trusty weapon: An unorthodox single barrel rifle that was throws opponents off with its ability to absorb anything into it. In desperation, Snake calls for his biggest gun.
Solid Snake: “Otacon, engage Covering Fire!!”
FIVE Large Missiles come flying in, all hit their giant green target... But fail to send him out. It was all looking futile as King K. Rool sends the Solider off with a single punch, a feat barely tons of Snake’s own were able to achieve. The winner is… KING K. ROOL!
Solid Snake: “Blast… I’m surprised no one calls you ‘Metal Gear Croc’…”
King K. Rool: “For the last time, it’s KROC!!”
Match No. 4- Wolf vs. Isabelle
Isabelle: “It’s a pleasure to meet you Wolf! Let’s keep it Clean!”
Wolf: “Hmph. They paired me with YOU? This must be a joke, I’ll end this quick.”
The match starts with Wolf dashing towards Isabelle as she….. Takes out a Fishing Rod?? Wolf was left confused, what could she be doing? There aren’t any ponds to fish in on this stage. Shrugging it off, Wolf dashes in to steal the opportunity, only for Isabelle to reel in, grab him then swing to the other side nearly flying outside!
Isabelle: “What do you think of this Rod? Bought it myself from my favorite store!”
Wolf: “You insolent little dog! You’ll pay for this!”
While Wolf continued to charge at the innocent looking Isabelle, she kept on playing with her Fishing Rod throwing him off at every turn. Even when he does see though that trick, she whips out something else unusual as a weapon: A Bug Catching Net, a Stop Sign, even some vegetables! It was becoming very hard to read this fragile-looking, yet versatile Fighter.
Wolf: “BOYS, GET IN HERE NOW & FINISH HEEER!!”
Wolf calls his Star Wolf Team to try & put her down the sights, but even that wasn’t working somehow, always missing at the last possible second.
Wolf: “Why. Won’t. You. FALL?!”
Isabelle: “Now now Wolf, anger isn’t good for your blood pressure. Teehee!”
Wolf was not having any more as he switches to a more aggressive approach to cover some lost ground, letting his claws loose as he flies everywhere around the Innocent Secretary. Then suddenly, Isabelle calls Tom Nook & the Nooklings for a plan of attack. But just as they were about to start, Wolf dodges to the other side for a counterattack... That unfortunately will not happen for as soon as he stops, a Gyroid pops out beneath his feet sending the unsuspecting pilot to the sky!
Wolf: “IMPOSSIBLLLLLLLLLLLE!!!”
The winner is… ISABELLE!
Isabelle: “Wish you a safe landing!”
& just like that, the first half of the CPUC’s first round of matches have concluded! How will the others fair? Who will come out on top? Will anyone else face the consequences of underestimating their opponent? Come back next time for Chapter 1-2!
Thank you for reading & have a good day! 👋🏻😄

Chapter 1 (The Pain of New Power) To be honest, I don't know how to start this tale; it all happened so quickly. The blood... The screams.... and then the tears shead from senseless killing. Three children were born into this world; the first with brown hair and green eyes, followed by another pale but still the same with hair as dark as the night. Then- after more screams and bloodshed later a third was born, a child with eyes of blood and fangs of a monster. The three children held a sinister purpose. The first born named Wrath, the second born, pale white child, was given the name of Envy; the final the child was named Desire. Three names. Three sins. One mother and her three children. And I am her servent- the one delivered the three. My name is Ollie the demon cat, servent to Lady Death herself and overseer of the her children. The next day had come and my Lady was weary, her power drained, her body weak... Even being a servent I felt concern for her. As she lay there resting away the pain from her labors, I tended to her new borns. Looking back now I wonder how such innocent, little beings could have become so evil! The oldest looked upon me from his crib, his emerald eyes seeming to pierce through my very being as though he wasn't looking at me for what I was- but who I was. However, that wasn't all I felt from this child's gaze; I was afraid. Me- a demon- afraid of a small child I was tasked to protect. As the child's tired eyes slowly closed I felt as though I had escaped the from the claws of Satan himself. I couldn't believe such a young child could hold such power over a creature such as myself. Then again, this wasn't ant ordinary child I was dealing with. After I calmed my nerves, I began tending to the others when suddenly I noticed that Desire was gone. I was almost frantic as I searched throughout the room, becoming extremely worried of what my Lady would do to me if she found out I had lost one of her spawn. Even in her weakened condition, I dared not to make her furious with me. "Hehehee!" Suddenly I heard his laughing coming from my Lady's bed chamber. As I enter I was washed with relief to see my young master being fed by his mother. "Ollie, my dear servent, you look as though you've been chased by Cerberus," she teased.  "My Lady, I feared the worst," I sighed out. "Oh, Ollie, you should know better then to think of my spawn as mere human children. You know they are more than they appear." That was my Lady, care free and charasmatic until the end. "Now be a good kitty and make me something to eat. I'm famished.~" "Uh- Yes my lord, right away!" I resonded, scrambling off with heat growing in my face. _____________________________________________ Chapter 2 (Overseeing Madness) It was a week later from the date my young masters were born into this world. Yes, one whole week of feeding... playing.... and, ugh, diaper changing! And it never stopped there. The day before, I found Master Envy on the kitchen counter top throwing knifes at the estate's cook and pinning him against the wall like a circus knife man. "Ah! HELP ME," the cook screamed as I caught master Envy's blade a mere half an inch from his nose. "Great God! Thank you, Master Ollie. I really thought my goose was cooked!" Scraps is also a demon cat. I met him in Italy working as a cook after he got fired for adding mice to the weekend special sauce. Strangely enough, every worker under Lady Death's estate is a demon cat of some special talent. Scraps being a master chef, I've only had to stop him from adding mice to the menu ten times so far. "Oh my word, I'm so sorry Master Ollie," apologized a demon cat rushing into the kitchen with a frantic look on her face. "I thought little Lord Envy was asleep!" This is my assistant, Shadey.  "Don't worry; it's quite all right. I understand how much of a handful our new little Lords are. But I asure the both of you we'll all become used to them.... hopefully."  "Eh, master Ollie?" "Yes, Scraps, what is it?"  "Could you be so kind as to unpin me from the wall, please?" A nervous sweat dripped down her forehead. "Don't worry, I'll get him down," Shadey promised as she struggled to pull the knifes from the wall. "Well while you two figure that out, I'll just go see how the rest of our little lords are doing." I made my way out the kitchen with Lord Envy in my hands, only to stumble upon Lord Wrath playing in the garden.  "Hello, Master Ollie. Were you looking for Lord Wrath?" I turned to see another estate hand standing behind me, a small smile on their face.  "Yes, Mittens, where did you find him?"  "Oh, you know these younglings, they'll crawl anywhere if you don't keep an eye out for them," the servant giggled. Suddenly a loud clash of steal and chains came from nowhere as I realized which one of my Lords were missing. "I guess that's little Lord Desire, Ollie." "Sadly I think you are right Mittens..." I sighed, walking towards the old armory with my eye twitching. Please just be a coincidence, I prayed, only to be greeted by the blast of bullet fire from the inside. "Hehehehee!"  "It seems he had found the gun vault," I deadpanned making Mittens chuckle. "Really ,master Ollie, now what gave you that idea," the lower servant replied with a sarcastic purr. "Mittens do me a favor and shut it," I snapped, already a bit stressed. Calming down my final lord wasn't an easy task in the least. After about ten minutes of dodging bullets, grenades, and God knows what else Lady Death stored in that vault, I retrieved him. "Well, well, well, Ollie. Looks like you're a bit worn out today!" I'm greated by the oldest of us, elder Dusty. Yes, his name really is Dusty. "Oh," I exclaimed, straightening up in the presence of my elder. "Good evening, sir. Did your muscles give you pain today," I asked in my torn attire.  "No, Ollie," he laughed. "I'm just here to see our Lady's little lords." "Well, they're all here and accounted for," Mittens said in her cheerful voice. "Uh, Mittens? You seem to be missing two things at the moment."  "Huh? What do you mean by that?" She looked down. "Oh! Was I supposed to be keeping an eye on them?" _______________________________________________ Chapter 3 - Sorrows of the Estate It had been five years since those fond and playfully deadly days and the young lords grew as children do. Their minds were all wondering about the world around them and they were barely able to form sentences but they still talked and asked questions. I remember young Lord Envy always questioning why his sibling Wrath got more of Scraps's cookies than he did. I can recall Lord Desire acting gentlemanly towards all the female demon cats of the estate. I remember the tears ahead. The day the young masters were taken from us. "Hello? Is someone there?" I looked around carefully, snapping my fingers to light up the corridors. Must have been my imagination, I inwardly remarked, carrying on to the master bedroom to see if they were sound asleep per Lady Death's orders. "Hm... sweet dreams, my little masters," I whispered as I closed the door.  "So these are the children. The ones spoken of through heaven and hell alike." I burst back in to find the one I senced. The arch angel. "Gabriel, what do you think you're doing here," I demanded. "I'm here on a quest, to rid this world of evil," the Arch Angel replied simply. "There is no evil here, Gabriel. Only the children of my master... Do you mean to tell me you wish to kill them?" "If that is what must be done to save the balance, then yes, you demon filth! I shall slay the offspring of death in His honor!" "If this is you're way to bring you're so called God-Glory, then I hope he takes you're wings for it!" The snap of my fingers echoed through the room as the children dissapeard, three cat demon gaurds taking their place.  "What is it you wish of us, General Ollie," one questioned, a ferocious look of hatred aimed towards Gabriel. "So you're General Ollie, head of the hell cats clan. It is such a high honor... and I shall be the one to slay you!" Gabriel lunged me only to have his sword stopped by three more. "If you want to make death of our general Gabriel, then you're going to have to try harder!" With the sound if a war cry the three soilders attacked the Arch Angel at once. "Hold him at bay," I barked out the order with no hesitation. "I must warn the Lady Death that he has come for her children!" "The children are with her," Gabriel thought aloud wit a smirk. "Well then, why am I playing with you beasts?" With in a quick flash of light the three solider lay on the ground, and I shocked and furious at the sight of my fallen comrades as he begins to shift. "You bastard! If you want my Lords, then defeat me!" My voice deepened and a roar escaped my lips, echoing throughout the estate signaling danger. "DIE YOU COWARD!" As demonic claws and angelic metal clashed, more of Ollie's soldiers stormed into Lady Death's chambers. "What's going on where's Ollie?" Lady Death demanded, frantically her holding her spawn close.  "General Ollie has engaged in battle with Gabriel. He has come for your offspring and wishes to slay them in God's honor," a soilders answers immediately. The blunt explanation shocks her.  "Gabriel has come for my children?" ________________________________________________ Chapter 3 - (Sorrows of the Estate) part two As my claws clashed with his angelic metal, i felt as though he were still toying with me as we fought. Why are you holding back Gabriel? I know youre not giving me ur all so quit ur game and fight me!!! Oh my Lord havent u figured it out yet? he exclaimed to me in a light tone. its obvious as to why, im not Master Gabriel! as the words came from is mouth the angel revealed his true form to me. Im one of his elite guardian angels, more then a match for you're pathetic soliders! I AM UUGGHH!!  I dont give a dam who you are! i said with my hand pierced into his chest grasping his grace, ready to kill him. Now tell me you pathetic whelp!! WERE IS GABRIEL?! As i ask in my furious rage i heard the screams of my Lady echoing form her chambers. Lady death no it cant be! Yes it can you pathetic demon scum, why do you think it was so easy to find me. he ask grabbing the collar of my coat. I was just the decoy all along! Hahahaa! HAHAHAAA!! UUUUAAGGHHH!!! dam...you...  he heaved as i pulle my fist out from his chest, his grace glowing in my hand as i made my way to the ladys chambers as fast as my powers would enable me. Master Ollie!! one of my soliders came to me. Im afraid i have terrible news my master... our lords they.. they.... Spit it out already!! i yelled in my furious rage. M-Master... their gone... Gabriel has taken them!! The feeling know to you humans as shock spread across my face as it these word echoed in my ears. Solider gather ur comrades! But  Master Ollie we cant... Silence!!  Go and gather all ur comrades and tell them to meet at the front gate, for the first time in a millennium. The Demon Cat clan is leaving the estate to reclaim what has been taken form us.... ______________________________________________ Chapter  4 ( The unraveling of power) Its been eighteen years since that tragic day, I was beginning to think as I walk along earths empty streets behind a school yard. My master had been gone for so long. It was until my army found Gabreil and tortured him for answers, but were told he threw them into the streams of time. Never to be seen again as long as we all would live. My mistress cry apoun hearing this news, her sarrows grew even deeper. As did her hatred for her own kind. Poor lady death, if I could have been their sooner to stop gabreil none of this would have happened...  But at last it did. As I poundered threw my feeling a greife now at he front of the school, only to be scared outta my wits as a long car drove at me. I ducked just in time for it to pass over my head, when I sinced something... Familiar as the back of the vehicle went over my head and parked a few feet away in front of the schools main entrance. What's is this? I questioned the feeling of fimiliarity as I walked over to what all most sent my demon head flying, snkffing at the side of it trying to pick up on what I senced before.  Was it just my imagination? It couldn't have been, I must have been scared... I shighed before turning around to be greatted by a boy in red pin strips. Hi there little guy, are you ok? My driver didn't hit you did he? As the mysterious boy picked me up I felt it again, the strong sensation of power that over whelmed me before. Its ok little guy ur ok now. He smiled with a fang filled grin as his. Master Oliver I implore you put that thing down, god knows how long its been a stray!  Calm urself Lee! If he were a stray he wouldn't be so clean, now apologize for almost hitting him or else! I..I.. But master Oliver? The boys eyes looked at his servent like razors to cutting threw his soul.  Aahhh! the boys servent shreiked as he stared at him. Do I have to repeat myself Lee?  N-n-n-no sir master Oliver! I'm sorry Mr.cat I didn't mean to almost hit you we were just in a rush to get here on time!! Good lee! Now take the limo home and have it nice and waxed up for when you come to pick me up. I have a feeling today's going to be really intresting. The young master started to walk towards the school with me in his hands. M-master oliver, I'm sorry but they don't allow pets in the school... Oh? And why would they not allow that? My father owns this place doesent he? He said in a dull unamused tone. Y-yes my young master but its the rules of the board of education. You can't just break them whenever you like... Unfortuneatly that's exactly what I can do, and if I chose to bring my new pet into the my fathers school which he owns. Then who has the right to say other wise? The boy replied in his coky manner as he walk in with me in his hands. The hall littered with humans from hallway to hallway, greeting the one I had come to know as oliver. They all seemed to worship him like a prince, I even saw him taunt one paticular human he found threatening another one wearing the same attire. You hear me Walton! I want you to stay away from my girl, no arguing you got that!!?? Or else me and the guys are gonna make sure you don't play another game of lacrosse again! The boy they were threatening just walked away paying them no mind as my apparent new owner walked up behind him placing his hand on the trouble makers shoulder. Now now my good boy, that wouldn't be a threat now would it? a sudden chill ran down the trouble makers spine as he heard my masters shuttle tone toward his words, as a look of fear and shock spread across his face. O-oliver? W-w-when did you get back from Germany? Oh I've been back in town for a while Michelle, i just didn't feel like coming to school was all. Being the son of the principle who owns this town has benefits like that. And also if I wanted to I could make sure no one would hear from you again, but that's just me going over borad now isn't it? My new master smile stretched wide as the boy ran away screaming in terror. Serves him right, making threats against other students in my fathers school. I'm surprised he still goes here. Maybe I can ask dad to make him move to a diffrent town entirely!  Or maybe you could just stop acting like a mobster and tell him you can't do anything! The voice of a young female human called to him from behind. So how was you're mini vacation Oliver? She asked with a smile as she patted his back only to be doged by my new master. Please do t touch my suit Lisa! It was hand crafted by the finest hands in all of Germany. I wouldn't want it to get ruined so easily. He exclaimed with a mellow tone as she looked at me. Then why are you holding a stray cat? She ask petting my fur making me purr a little as he removed her hand. I'll also have you know he's not a stray, besides strays don't smell this good or have such clean fur. Only cats of high standards like myself are like this. He replied petting me himself, causing me to purr more loudly as his hand glided along my fur like the cool summers breazze. Oliver I'll never get whats up with you and cats, its almost like their human beings to you. That maybe so Lisa, but my obsessions are Nome of you're business. But you might want to run now cause I think ur English exam is today. The girls face shot up in shock at this news. Oh fuck I'm gonna be late!!  She yelled as she ran off. Lisa by the way number twenty is a trick question!! He yelled at her down the hall as she ran off. Man I'm starving, I wonder what the caffiteria is serving today? Chapter 4 (The Unraveling of Power) -part two Later that same day after my new master splurged as he said on the best the caffiteria had to offer, he let me down and I followed him willingly outside the back of the school. I don't know what type of nostalgia made him come to such a frightening place. The back wood behind this school were dark and had the most smells of death I had ever encountered... But the look on his face as he took a whiff of the air in these wood was like that of a drug addict getting g his daily high. Aaahh! There's nothing like the smell of the forest, especially this one. He said picking me up and walking in deeper. Did you know this forest had a murder recorded of over fithty victims and counting? I actually found the twenty second body here when I was ten. Some old dude who was slashed to ribbons. I know I should have been scared, but there was just something about that dead man that seem familiar to me. He paused to think as I wondered why so many were killed here.   I guess it was just because I'm a strange child. None the less let's go a little deeper ok, I hear there's a secret water fall in these woods somewhere. And I'm not leaving until I find it. We walked for what seemed to be hours on end as oliver searched high and low. We even came across a bear by accident, but it went away after I told it I would make sure to bring her back a fish if she left him alone. Haven't seen that bare in a while though... Uuugghh!! This is so annoying!! Where the hell could this stupid water fall be!!?? he shouted stomping his foot in flustration as he fell threw the ground into an old abandoned house. Aaahhhh!!! My leg!! I broke my leg!! Aaaaahhh!!! I was in shock as I jumped down to see if he was ok, he wasn't the break was bad and his leg was turning dark red as he groaned in pain. I wish I could have done something, but there was nothing I could do while he was awake. Fucking hell why did this have to happen to me!? Dam it!! He fringed in painas he petted my head. At least you came to comert me huh little guy? Its good to know I'm not alone down in here by myself. Actually its a really bad thing to know. the hairs in my back stood up as the voice of a girl disagreed with my masters optimistic veiw of the situation. What the? W-whos there? Please tell me you're here to help me!? To my masters question a figure emerged from the shadows pale as the moon and covered in scares, she smelled of freash blood as a machete she was carrying shined in the light of the broken roof. Wh-who are you? Ar-are you.. Are you the? The killer of the hollow woods, yes if that's the awnser you're looking for? *she gave him a blank stare of dissappiontment as she walked closer to him* and it seems you just broke my roof you cluts! Now how am I sappose to sleep when it rains? She asked as though talking to him as though she had known him for a long time. Look I'm really sorry ok, it was my... Aaahh!! He groaned holding his broken leg. It was my fault entirely... I swear I'll fix it. Just please let help me so I can! Her stare only became more dissapointed as she stared at him her head dropped. You do remember me don't you? Oliver? It hasent been that long, you should remember me.. The young masters face grew confused at her words as he looked at her intensly. C'mon oliver I'm not that had of a face to forget!! But why would you care... All the money in the world why would you even care to.. Red? Her face lit up as her eyes cryed to his words. Red is that really you?  His hand reached for her only to be tackled and hugged by a crying killer. Oh Oliver you did remember!!  How could I forget, red we've been looking for you for years. How did you end up here? The young killers wipes her tears as she explained the long series of events while tending to his injured leg. So all these murder victims are really ur huh? If I didn't know any better I'd say you were going for a record! He complimented her as they both smiled, and as I wondered how such a boy that comes from wealth wasent scared of a girl who murders for fun. I really missed you red, life hasent been the same ever since we lost you. Oliver you don't have to be so kind to me, besides I'm just happy you dropped by! They both laughed at her pun as I walked the hall in confusion of the two of them, while walking the halls of her house I was greeted by a cat. Well hello there tom cat, I haven't seen you around these parts before.  Oh I uuh.... Um hi? I said in a awkward reply which she laughed at. So what's a well groomed cat like you doing in a place like this? I blushed a bit as she flirted with me. Well to be honest my lady me and my master found this place by total mistake. I would go into more details about this part but let's get back go the main story ok my  friend... Eh hem... Anyways. So you dad really own the whole town now? Wow he must be really powerful right now.she said with a smile as she wrapped his leg in stolen medical supplies. Well most of it anyways, theirs still a small bit of town he's trying to get. But the people who own it say theyed rather die then sell it. Also we've been getting death threats but Dad says he has it all under control. Well I hope he dose... Hey oliver. Her tone seemed tone lighten. Ya red? I know this is a bit sudden but.... Is it all right if you could come visit me out here more often when ur leg is better? Not to sound dessprate for company or anything but.. I.. Mmmm! Suddenly my master kissed her intensely not holding anything back as she closed her eyes kissing him in return. Oliver? I'll always come back red, as long as I'm alive. Nothing will keep me from comming back for you. He exclaimed passionately as she imbraced him in tears, although it seemed wrong in my eyes for him to love such a person. It was as though they knew they were ment to be. ____________________________________________ Chapter 4 (the unraveling of power) part two  just so my tail isn't to long, no cat pun intended. lets skip ahead a week later to when i meet the second unusual human in this school.  for gods sake where did that red headed human get off to? i asked worrying. i need to be at his side while he recovers from his injury. As i walked along the hallway looking for him in worry as i was picked up from behind by a familiar presence, i turned my head around hoping id see my new master had picked me up only to see a paler face and darker hair. i remember thinking why is master oliver look like this? while i stared at his familiar face pale as a ghost and with hair black as the night. hey arnt you Oliver's cat? what are you doing out here in the halls little guy? i looked at his confused and oddly a bit offended by being called little. but still i wondered why i felt the same presence emanating from him as i did master Oliver. hey Hollow!! hurry up were gonna be late for class if we dont book it now!! his eyes shot open to this news. Oh shit i allmost forgot!! not even bothering to set me back down he ran into class with my and hid me in his bag with the sipper partly undone just as the bell rang out loudly. aahh!! Why do humans allways need such loud bells? i muttered silently.  hey hollow did you say something? a student across from him asked. No why you ask? he replied. i thought i heard you talking about the bells after they rang. the student replied confused and she wondered who i was. looks like id better be quite while i wait. i thought to myself while in his bag i peered out the zipper to see what type of class i was in. OK students turn ur animal biology books to chapter fourteen today we will be learning about cats and their mating process. the cold irony of this was almost to much for me or the pale human who found me to bare as we slowly facepalmed at the same time together. Well couldn't get more ironic i guess... later after the class was over the one called Hollow went around the school insearch of Oliver. hey has anyone seen Oliver? the pale boy named holding me asked. i know where he is, but its gonna cost ya for the information!^^~ it was the girl named lisa, one of master Olivers closest friends from what i had learned from a whole week of living with him as a pet and listening to him on the phone. Oh hi lisa... please dont tell me its one of those kinda favors again please... hey asked with a worried expression as she leaned in closer. No silly nothing like that EMO boy, besides after last time they might actually think ur a satanist gypsy! she laughed as he sighed. Were is Oliver lisa? he asked unamused. oh dont be a stick in the mud im just kidding! He went home right after lunch period, something about he had a hot date tonight. funny i dont remember him seeing anyone though. She poundered her little human mind as i felt dumbfounded to this news and muttered. no fucking wonder... Well thanks Lisa ill just going now... he said trying to slink away. hold it right their Hollow! i havent forgot about that favor u owe me in the last two seconds, im not that dumb! she exclaimed with a smile. oh for the love of! Fine what the hell is it and if i dont like it im not going to do it! She suddenly flashed a picture as he replied in a cool heated tone. Hey what the hell was that for!? sorry i just wanted a photo for the year book was all! she said holding a picture of Oliver behind her back. OK whatever Lisa, but i better not see that picture in some weird rumor later! we left and i looked back threw the bag only to catch a glimpse of her talking, i couldnt hear her but i could tell she was asking herself, why do they look the same? as she looked at two pictures in her hand. Hello!! Hello!! the one named Hollow shouted from a large gate with a family crest in the shape of an old oak tree with what appeared to death sitting at its roots as he pressed a button the calling box. Hello is Oliver home? i found his cat and was wondering if he was looking for him... With no reply but a loud buzzing the gates opened and the man named Lee pulled up in golf cart. Hello sir im master Olivers personal servent, how may i help you? he asked as he saw me pop my head out of Hollows bag. Ah! i see you found my masters pet Ollie, i was wondering where he ran off to this morning. he said as i was handed over to him. so where is oliver? hollow asked curious. my master went out to dinner with his female friend after a day of looking at dresses, according to him she deserved nothing but the best for their date tonight. he explained cleaning my fur with a flea comb. so where do you hail from if i might ask?  oh im no one specil, im just a gypsy kid... hollow seemed to dreaded saying this as to such i high class servent. oh then you must be the gypsy boy that the whole town is talking about, the one drew a demonic picture of jeasus christ am i right? he asked with curious eyes as Hollow rubbed his neck. yeah but i wasent doing it do be disrespectfull, i didnt even know who the guy was when i drew it. I was just making it so i wouldnt be in debt to this girl at school, besides she asked for it not me... look i know youre life is hard kid but dont get me wrong, you really shouldnt be so nieve when girls ask you for stuff. even things like a photo can get you into trouble. hollows mind thought back to Lisa snapping a photo of him. yeah dude you dont know how ironic that sounds right now... but thanks anyways, ill just be heading home now. dont be so hasty my young friend stay a while, im sure my master would be pleased to meet you. He could use some new friends as well, i fear that Lisa girl might get him into trouble one day. thanks for the offer servant dude, but if i dont get back before eight my mom is gonna flips her crystal ball again. he said walking off into the distance. ____________________________________________ Chapter 4 (the unraveling of power) part three the next day came rather quickly as i  was carried into the school perched acrossed master Olivers shoulders like a throw. the school band was playing and the students were all popping streamers on the lacross field as the game ended for the day and my masters father took the mic.  Good evening everyone, today as you know is a very special day. even though we lost against our opponents today we invite them to say and celibate as we sing Happy Birth day to two of our schools pride and joys. My son Oliver, and our lacross captain Walton Oliver. I know im astonished by that bit i irony but if everyone will lineup on their sides of the field were gonna be blowing out candles and singing after words well all have some yummy cake made by my house staff. the humans of my masters father seemed to enjoy this rather humiliating activity as my master and walton as he was called blew out their candles on their individual cakes. but after a while i saw lisa walking to the one named hollow as he sat by himself at the bleachers with a slice of cake. hey whats wrong hollow? you know its a birthday party right? she asked a bit worried. yeah but thats whats got me down... its a birthday party for someone else. but its my birthday today to... he said sadly looking at his slice of cake. didnt you celebrate with ur mother today? she asked. no she was to busy reading fortunes while drunk to even remember what today was. suddenly a lighter lit a candle placed on his slice by lisa. well you cant just sit here and be envyous of other dumby, make a wish and make it a good one! she hit his shoulder smiling at him. Well... i guess.. it wouldn't hurt. smiling as he closed his eyes and made his wish blowing out his candle, and just as he did outta no where the clouds began to flash with lightning as a tree nearby was struck. holy shit what was that!? hollow yelled in fear as more bolts started striking around them and on the field incinerating what was left of the cake.  As the chaos erupted everone ran for shelter hiding under the stone bleachers, in the mist of the danger i ran into the field looking to the heavens. whats going on? why os the lords wrath coming down here? i heard yelling from behind me and a loud flash, as i turned to see the one called walton being linked with Gods power his cloths burned and flesh in a bloody mess as hollow came to save him only to be struck as well, followed by my adopted master Oliver. they screamed in agony and pain as thier bodys became like x-ray images. i could see winged monster standing in their places as they flickered the lighting striking them still changing the beasts i saw in the flickers little by little as until they look like their old selfs again. it it cant be... these three... they cant be... i ran to them i fear and joy as the lightning struck them one last time before they fell. MY LORDS!!!! TO BE CONTINUED
