do u ever think abt if iv is ever rlly at risk of his disease being fatal hsi greatest worry isnt that hes dying but actually that hes leaving ft4 and how much his death could affect all of them bc the line in dear layla that said megu is tired of losing loved ones and he doesnt want to experience that again and how yui still feels the regret of losing his grandfather and being too afraid to face the truth of it and how dai has only ever seen THEM as his family because the people in fake star were sure damn not and how rio has lost so so so many people in his life when he was too young and beared the weight of grief he couldnt carry alone and how iv must have been one of the many but still a reason for them to persevere and continue on for their dreams of attaining a grand stage that wipes away all the hurts of who they are because now they were nothing else, no one else but ft4.

and now iv was going, he was leaving from a point of no return and before he could even worry about himself he finds he worries more about ft4 and all he could do to keep them from falling apart at the realization of loss and pain and suffering again and that was never something iv would ever wish for them to go through once more and some part of him just wishes he could continue fighting, if not for himself that he regards so littly, if not for the stage, then maybe for the anthem they swore would mingle together till the end of their days. not one, not four, but five melodies that would live on.

lil rant about dog training oops

#so. my 80lb gangly-ass dog is a gigantic baby for any kind of grooming or healthcare stuff. #and he was only getting more and more frantic the more i tried to get him used to it #doing it on the couch when hes sleepy? nope. starts frantically flailing around and panting wildiy #trying to introduce it slowly? nope. trying to distract him with lots of treats/a lick mat of peanut butter? nope #and this dog is prone to ear gunk and eye gunk :(((( #ive had to essentially pin him a couple times for his own good to give him eye drops for an eye infection #and i felt so bad about it both times and he was panicking but like. fuck. #so. before that happens again. ive been working with him on co-operative care. #which for me looks like putting a treat on a face height chair #and while he's staring at it #ill slowly in very small stages introduce whatever i need to do (ear wipe ear drops eye drops nail trim etc) #and frequently every time i make progress #like he lets me tap his nail with the clippers or lets me get the eye dropper close to his eye without flinching #i say 'okay!' and let him eat the treat he has a couple inches from his snoot #and replace it #and repeat making as much progress each time as he'll let me #whenever he needs to take a break and its too much for him he'll back up and lie down #and i take that as a cue to put down my tools and wait #and sure enough. eventually he'll get back up and be ready to go again #its a huge time sink but honestly still so much easier than wrestling a squirming freaking out dog who's nearly as big as me #and absolutely zero panic attack level freakouts on his end that end with him stress panting for like half an hour after #using this i managed to get him to let me to wipe out his ears entirely within like 15 minutes #and same with eye drops which is HUGE because he fucking hates eye drops #like. he voluntarily stood there and let me do it. zero holding or forcing he just stands there and lets me. #anyways. idk what my point is other than despite this taking a lot of patience on my part this is so so much less stressful for both of us #and is going to create much much better habits in the long run and isnt going to create a dog who is insanely fear reactive at the groomers #and also also fuck my ex who insisted that it took too long and wasnt worth it and as long as we had two people to hold our first dog down #it didnt matter if she was panicking bc we could just overpower her #idk. dogs will do a lot for you if you just put the smallest amount of effort into working with them. #lucas the land seal

reddit posts detailing their christmas/thanksgiving food drama will never not be bizarre to me. you’ll read a post where op says they demanded that no one brings food to their events and how everyone has to eat the food that op has prepared, and then they’ll go on this multi-paragraph rant about how their 5 year old nephew won’t eat any food at their event because nephew only eats chicken nuggets and op thinks he needs to grow up and learn that life isn’t always going to cater to his needs and whatever. and it’s like op it’s literally just chicken nuggets just let the guy eat chicken nuggets. if you already knew he was picky literally what did you expect by making food he wont eat like literally what other reasonable outcome could there have been. you don’t even have to make the chicken nuggets yourself, just let your guests bring food for their picky children so everyone is happy and you don’t have to put more work on yourself since youre already cooking a lot of food anyways. maybe i can understand it if youre upset they wont eat the food youve prepared, i still think its dramatic but i get it, but not even allowing guests to bring their own food to your events just makes me question why you never considered this as an inevitability, like are you just that inattentive to your family’s needs or something??

for thanksgiving this year my boyfriend’s sister and her fiance hosted it at their house and they made all these elaborate dishes, but my bil (bf’s sister’s fiance) knew that i dont like steak which is one of the meals they made, but he also knew i love chicken, so he went out of his way to make chicken just for me so i could eat something too and not feel left out. and it’s just like so easy to cater to ppl’s needs like that imo?? and if you really dont want to go out of your way to make more food than you already are, just let ppl bring their own dishes to your dumbass event?? i literally will never understand people who get so butthurt about stuff like this, the way theyre like you HAVE to eat MY COOKING otherwise you CANT EAT ANYTHING AT ALL!!! like okay i just wont go to your dumb event then if it’s that much of an issue. im not even a festive person but the whole point of these holidays r to spend time with your family you know, not flex the knowledge you learned by reading some grandma’s cookbook. thats just an added side benefit. just let ppl be picky without taking it as such a fucking offense ugh
