really feeling the lack of people like me irl. most of my friends are cis girls or fem enbies who just. don't get it. the few trans guys i DO know have very supportive families (one of them has been on t for years). like. what am i supposed to do with this. what am i supposed to do with my incredibly queerphobic parents and inability to cut my hair even though it kills me to look in the mirror and forced dress-wearing that makes me feel like shit all day.

#today we went to a shopping complex area after our competition and i was following around one of the two friends i have in choir #i was already feeling very dysphoric and sick at this point #so of course she and her group (all extremely fem cis girls) decide to go to sephora #and bath and body works #and francescas #and i cant just go off on my own so i stand awkwardly in the corner scrolling through the transmasc dysphoria tag #and said friend comes up to me joking about how much i must hate these stores and tries to find blush that suits me or whatever the fuck #things like this are what make me say “i hate femininity” and then i have to do a mental course correction #“i hate people assuming im feminine” “i hate feminity for myself” “i hate being expected to be feminine” #“i hate being surrounded by feminine girls as a masc trans guy” except that one was kinda my fault #slight upside is that i saw them cooing over dresses or earrings or smth idk and felt so extremely removed from whatever they had going on #a real Trans Man Moment #well. anyway #pigeon coos

I interpreted pants to mean jeans/outside pants and not sweat/pajama pants (to which i have 2 pairs) and I only own one pair of jeans. idk if its a power to want but its a reality I have

Oh ya speaking of sewing. Updates to old projects I forgot to post: new blouse & apron for the dirndl, and I added a smocked panel + some barely visible blue embroidery at the hem to Ephy’s pink dress

#sewing #dirndl #elfilin #I made the new blouse and apron like over a year ago LOL #I had originally wanted to make them out of eyelet cotton but got cotton gauze when I was buying materials because it was way cheaper #Mistake. Turns out I hate that stuff and it’s soooo bad for poofy sleeves #and I didn’t finish my edges all that great so I was scared it would disintegrate if I ever tried to wash it #so last summer I finally got some eyelet cotton and remade them #I think I never posted the finished Ephy dress because I wanted to also make a bow to go with it #haven’t done that yet though and it’s been awhile #I’m not sure how easily I’ll be able to wear the dirndl again nowadays without remaking the blouse again (for reasons) #but I did get to wear it on our honeymoon!! we went to a little German-themed touristy town and had a fancy dinner and went shopping #we also did hiking and an amusement park. and Pokémon go #and a lot of driving lol #also yes that smocking is incredibly tiny #I wasn’t sure it would even be physically possible at that size but it worked out yippee!!

I'm never going to see the shop people again. #and- well. josh is an absolute menace to shop with in the best way possible. josh loves to pinch your bum when you try on new leggings. he is very vocal about the outfits you try on, if you’re not sure josh will shout at a comfortable level “LOOK AT MY GF!!!! LOOK HOW GORGEOUS SHE IS!!!” and when you try to get him to stop he just says he’s trying to let you and everyone else know how beautiful you are! he loves to pick out fun bras and lingerie and give you the biggest baby cow eyes asking you to buy them. there’s something so soft and intimate about asking him to come into the dressing room so he can help you zip up a nice sun dress he picked out. as soon as he zips you up and finally gets a look his breath catches in his throat and he’s just rendered speechless. when you’re looking at yourself and in mirror and he peers over your shoulder and softy tells you the dress is mandatory, you need to get it because you look gorgeous in it. he just can’t stop talking about how pretty you look. -🦦💓

Size charts are bs. Why do we have to solve conversion charts in order to guess if something might fit right. I have looked at three different charts that tell me im either a size 3x, 5x, or 8x. 🙃
