maybe with the ending.. make it be like the link between Breezepelt's leaving to join Kin and his POV in AVOS? of course from Nightcloud's perspective but
like. she would be injured and recovering away from the clan. but they would be unaware that she is alive and like in canon assume she died and hold her a vigil. Breezepelt, who is already at low point, taking it very badly - yes he was pushing her away bc he was hurt and angry and started taking it out on her, but.. it's still his mom. his Mi. and she is dead? or is this stupid clan just going to believe this to make it easier? are they really giving up on looking for her, or her body??
i can see Nightcloud being the one of very few, if not THE Only one, things that kept Breezepelt in WindClan at this point. and without her, what's the point? it's not like anyone else likes him. the link is gone and they buried it in a bodyless vigil. so it's what pushes him to actuall take the step and leave.
not sure how well it would align with the timeline and events. and how soon Darktail was assembling cats from other clans like Breeze. but i think it would be interesting and heartbreaking if at the end of her SE, Nightcloud just arrived back to WindClan and asks where Breezepelt is and someone tells her.. he either was missing since this morning or just left the clan earlier the same day. like, just have them miss each other by a hair.
I'm thinking that the second-to-last chapter is her with Pickle, having a bit of a sabbatical to unpack everything that happens through the story. Mostly because I want to throw her into some kind of pretty garden as a nice setting for this lmaoo
A LOT of BB stuff is being added to Nightcloud's Pannage that wasn't in the main series; Hillrunner's abuse, her mentor Addersong, several expanded little background characters now complete with their own side conflicts. I think what I can bind all these things with is Nightcloud considering what a Clan means.
Because of her new reputation, I'm noticing I'm writing scenes where she's intentionally doing and saying things to try and sway them. While also grappling with her resentment towards them, and things she can't change.
There's a bit of a melancholy air so far, so I'm starting to feel like the best ending is just having a bit of space to herself to think. Ultimately, she decides that it's more than Breezepelt or Crowfeather that binds her to WindClan. It's the life and connections she COULD have.
WindClan cats are also quite religious next to other Clans, so I really do mean "sabbatical." I'm going to have Addersong die of old age shortly after they reconnect, so she's in Pickle's Garden talking to her new friend, choosing cats she's lost to pray to as patron spirits to give her the traits she feels she needs, and just recovering both physically from injury and spiritually from turmoil.
So all that to say; it works well that by the time she gets back, Breezepelt has joined The Kin. He was one of the first to join when he started calling for members anyway, so having Night be gone for about two or three weeks sounds appropriate.

Would you be ok with writing another Gorgon GF and Barley continuation? It was a really neat idea and I was curious as to how it would work? Would it be dangerous if she lost her glasses? Or would he be able to see her reflection? Does he keep a pair of glasses in his pocket at all times? Your writing is super cute and I’m sorry if this seems like too much ! Have a good day/night !
Thank you  ❤️ Sorry this took so long... Bonus sketch as an apology...
Tumblr media
Okay... so I’m not sure what people’s monster-canons are or where they’re from... I suspect they’re from something i’m too old to have watched... So I don’t wanna step on any toes with my headcanons... for Gorgon in this world I’m probably basing my ideas more on “Monster Prom” and whatever seems logical...
❀✦ Master List✦❀
Part 1
And this isn’t like a fleshed out oc but maybe eventually she will be?
This is mostly headcanons about how Gorgons might work in a modern/Onward world... cause it’s where my brain wants to go...
So I’ve seen headcanons about readers who mainly wear contacts... and when their s/o suddenly realizes they wear glasses and it’s cute...
So that...
I’m gonna say, logically in a modern monster world like Onward they’d have developed something to block the curse. Probably some kind of covering like mentioned... glasses... contacts... I’d even say they’d be able to do some kind of surgery- like lasik...
However, like in our world they can’t force people to have an invasive surgery just cause their race/species...
And some people prefer to wear glasses and some contacts...
Although there’s probably a bit of societal pressure to have the surgery or wear contacts What happens if the glasses break?
Buuut as hinted at- Barley’s surprised to find his s/o suddenly wearing glasses.
Maybe he stopped by quick to bring her something (schoolbooks, meds, food, a new copy of something they’re both into... etc)?
Or maybe the Gorgon s/o was beginning to feel comfortable enough around Barley to relax a little... like you do once you’ve been in a relationship for a while... and you start to become less concerned with appearing perfect?
Regardless Gorgon s/o is probably amused by his surprise... “Well what did you think?”
Barley’s not sure how he feels about her feeling like she has to conform to societal expectations.
He wants her to feel comfortable.
He’d make sure to ask them how they feel, making sure to let them know he likes them either way.
Probably uses the s/o’s snakes as inspiration for ncp’s based on their personalities...
Loves drawing his s/o looking pretty and powerful.... and just in general...
Barley probably has a sketchbook full of slice of life, candid drawings of the people in his life... especially his s/o...
I believe Medusa was murdered using reflective surfaces so I don’t see how that would be different in this world.
Gorgons probably face a lot of prejudice, treated like monsters...  Ignorant, fear-mongering people probably constantly push legislation that makes anti stone vision surgery mandatory for all gorgon-folk...
Concerning their origins Gorgons probably are pretty feminist and very anti sexual assault...
Their culture is probably matriarchal, and have no tolerance for domestic violence.
You know how people say they trust their dog... that if they don’t like the s/o there’s probably a reason...? Gorgons are like that with their snakes... I mean how you gonna date someone who’s hair attacks you?
“You may kiss the bride...” All the snakies kiss too...
Welp... That’s all I got for now... hopefully it makes sense... and isn’t too ramble-e  ❤️

Ok so idk if I’d like Hozier or not so can you give me some of your favorite bops bc me stumbling aimless around his music seems like a recipe for disaster
Well, I'm certainly biased because I love Hozier, but I think he's got a lot to offer. He's got a fair amount of range so, odds are, there's at least one song you'll enjoy.
I think the best place to start is Take Me to Church. Anti-Catholic sentiments, depictions of love/sex as powerfully human acts of defiance, and admiration for powerful women are common themes found in his songs. Also, it’s the big hit so it’s kind of obligatory.
If you like TMTC, you may also like: Moment's Silence (about oral sex and also sexual abuse in the Catholic Church), Foreigner's God (about feeling alienated from Christianity)
Politics pervade a lot of Hozier's work - including all the anti-Catholic songs I've listed - but there are some songs I think I'd specifically highlight as Political Hozier. Nina Cried Power would be the big one, a thank you note to the history of protest music and how we can look to that history as inspiration in these dark times. It features Mavis Staples, an iconic gospel/soul singer who performed at civil rights marches in the '60s.
If you like his political commentary, you may also like: To Be Alone (a dark tune that directly calls out rape culture, and my absolute favorite Hozier song), Be (a love song with apocalyptic and Biblical imagery, as well as lyrics directly referencing refugees, the border wall, and the current U.S. president)
If Anti-Catholic Hozier or Political Hozier aren't your vibe, you might want to look into Music Nerd Hozier. He's a huge fan of blues, jazz, and soul, and some of his most upbeat songs involve name-dropping his favorite singers and tunes. NCP falls into this category to a certain extent, but I'd also recommend Jackie and Wilson. When you said "bop", it was immediately what came to mind. It's a story about a guy who sees a girl in a public place and imagines his whole life with her (including naming their children after famous soul singer Jackie Wilson). At the end of the song, he looks up and realizes he's been so lost in the fantasy that she's left already without him noticing. It's a sweet song, if a little sad near the end.
If you like Jackie and Wilson, you may also like: Someone New (a fun sing-along that name-checks Aretha Franklin in the bridge), Almost (a bop where pretty much every lyric is the name of a jazz standard)
But let's be real, we all know the memes - you're probably here for Forest Prince Hozier. There are killjoys people who listen to his other songs and go "lol he's just a normal dude those jokes are so dumb", but they're ignoring a giant segment of his discography that deals with nature and mythology.
Most of my favorite Hozier songs fall into this category, so I'll recommend two.
Like Real People Do is about someone who's been buried alive, who falls in love with the person who digs them up. There's a little bit of humor to it, and it's ultimately a very sweet love song.
If you like LRPD, you may also like: Work Song ("No grave can hold my body down / I'll crawl home to her"), In A Week (a love song between two decomposing corpses), Shrike (a bittersweet lost-love song comparing the relationship to that of the shrike and its thornbush)
In the Woods Somewhere is a dark story-song about running into the forest. There are very few songs that create an atmosphere the way this song does - it's a masterpiece of immersive storytelling. Listen to it in a thunderstorm for maximum effect.
If you like ITWS, you may also like: Run (a love song between the sea and the land, sung in an otherworldly falsetto), NFWMB ("If I was born as a blackthorn tree / I'd want to be felled by you, held by you / fuel the pyre of your enemies"), Talk (the narrator uses the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice as a seduction technique)
A few other songs that don't quite fit into these categories, but I think are worth mentioning:
From Eden - a happy, chill-sounding tune that's actually from the perspective of the Devil. Incredibly well-written.
Cherry Wine - a devastatingly honest depiction of someone trapped in an abusive relationship. one of his best songs, and his most emotionally affecting. have tissues nearby.
No Plan - an upbeat love song about how how the universe is chaotic and will end someday. The epitome of 'optimistic nihilism'.
Wasteland, Baby - a tender folk song about falling in love at the end of the world.
I know this is a lot, but I hope it gives you some ideas about where to start. I wish you well.

(gold teeth and) a curse for this town
So it's time to put this in the public domain, now the rest of it is in the public domain. The Hippodrome is going to close. We don't know when. Realistically it looks like mid-2019, but worst case it might be as early as this year. Here's a piece about the context, why the venue is important, and what we can do from here. The Hippodrome is the venue which currently houses our weekly live-bands event New Slang, and a lot of our one-off gigs in Kingston. We started off, as just this week Kingston Museum has said, with a Frank Turner gig; plugging his guitar and vocal into the DJ mixer and had a dance afterwards. It was fun and we turned it into a regular event..
New Slang was born out of this gig in 2006. Since then it has brought so many acts to #Kingston. Share some of your memories with us? pic.twitter.com/WJNs153Wii
— Kingston Museum (@KingstonMuseum) June 28, 2017
New Slang quickly evolved into a weekly event bringing over 1000 bands, some of which are amongst the biggest in the country, to play Kingston. It also tries to support new music and upcoming bands, as well as - obviously - providing a service for the music community of Kingston and surrounding areas. It's so much more than a job to me. I've never missed a New Slang in over a decade of doing it. As much as New Slang has moved to McClusky's and back - twice! - The Hippodrome (previously known as The Works) has always felt like home. I'm emotionally involved in that place. Probably second only to Oscar. I've had some of the best nights of my life there. I've also witnessed some really dark and pretty stressful times there. I met the one via New Slang and now The Hippodrome is a big part of what pays my bills. But the drive behind New Slang is, and always has been, bringing some of our favourite bands to our town.
In truth The Hippodrome, like any venue, is always just one catastrophic event from shutting, but management, particularly in recent times have done loads to make it a safer space, concentrating on events and "product" rather than just lowest common denominator cheap drinks/loud music. Noise / ASB complaints, rules and regs and licensing constraints while reducing margins and forcing changing practices, have not stopped The Hippodrome from being a profitable venue and one which serves a vital role in our community. At present, there is only one large venue which can regularly accomodate the production levels necessary for grade A touring bands to come and play our town. It's not just that artists from Ed Sheeran to Vampire Weekend to Bring Me The Horizon have played there, it's that bands like Tall Ships, Songhoy Blues and Pete And The Pirates have too. At the time of typing, this week's number one artist played there last week. The previous week's number one artist played there the week before. Of course it's not all about chart toppers but i think it's important to show that The Hippodrome isn't just about bands you havent heard of for teenagers you want to avoid. It's a venue which puts on gigs for people of all ages, and that can range from 1500 kids queueing to see Shawn Mendes, to average-age-on-the-scanner-of-45 when The Charlatans played last month.
Tinie Tempah at the New Slang. I love this venue!! #TinieTempah pic.twitter.com/vsPagmXImZ

Yet the thing which has been on the horizon for quite some time is a step closer now. As the "Eden Quarter" part of Kingston town centre undergoes major redevelopment, the third of four pieces of the jigsaw has now been proposed and is asking local people for feedback. Part four is when they knock Banquet down but that's not being talked about yet. Parts one and two of the puzzle are The Old Post Office site and the Eden Walk redevelopment. Part three is Surrey House and its connecting buildings http://www.surreyhousekingston.co.uk/ There's a public consultation at Surrey House itself on Thursday 6th July before the Public Service Broadcasting gig. Feel free to go to that and feedback how important this gig venue is to you. It's basically the whole site of Surrey House, BO Concept, the NCP car park and the post office / newsagents, Cancer Research etc. and The Hippodrome. It's a big site, and you can see why the landowners want to redevelop it. I saw the plans, as you can too, and it's what you might expect. Two floors of retail with up to 12 storeys above for flats. The usual problems rear their heads. Do we need this much more retail and why is the council encouraging developers to prioritise this? Is it the right type of housing and architecture? How many affordable homes will there be? Can the infrastructure take it? Is it in keeping with the local area? etc etc. But obviously in this case particularly it comes more to where will we watch bands!? In the short term, the answer remains "The Hippodrome". Of course The Hippodrome is far from perfect. I don't think we've ever pretended it was. But it works. The same way that even tho Eden Walk has planning permission to rebuild, nearly all the shops there from Maplin to Sainsbury's remain in place, and Primark has even moved into the old BHS site temporarily. It makes sense for the landlord to keep tenants there until the first spade is in the ground. My limited experience tells me that there's no way that will be before the end of 2018. But obviously we know what we need to start planning ahead. Of course we have so much love for The Fighting Cocks, and the people who run it. But there's some gigs that just aren't practical to put in a 150-cap venue. There are other venues we use on an infrequent basis, like The Rose, All Saints and Kingston College that we're talking about using more. These venues are each brilliant in their own different ways. But I do and always will believe in the good of nightclubs and indie/alt club nights particularly. It would be a real shame if that was to stop, so we're exploring all options with the other bigger venues in the the town. There's also potential for something entirely new. An idea that no-one's even had yet. At least twice in recent years there's been serious talk about a proper built-for-purpose venue in Kingston. They've fallen down really because they weren't needed. And because it's a lot of money to invest in something with no guaranteed return. The real worry is that you won't know what you got till it's gone. The reason I got involved in local politics was the feeling that the council and local authorities neither know nor care about live music and night time entertainment in Kingston. I absolutely accept there's some negatives associated with people out late at night. Let's leave aside the very real financial / employment benefits of gigs and night time enterainment for a minute... there's so many more positives from having a functioning bigger gig venue and vibrant and diverse nightlife. Kingston University has not gone anywhere, and let's be honest the students' union facilities have always not needed to perform the role of nightclubs because Kingston town already did that pretty well.
youtube
My main theory which i've seen proved right again and again is that "our" arts and culture is not deemed as important as others'. Just last night I was involved in a committee which voted to spend £4m of council money to be matched by £4.5m of lottery fund money to move the Kings and Saxons exhibition from Kingston Museum to All Saints Church. Let me be clear, I'm not knocking the heritage of Kingston. It means a lot to many people, and there's reasons to be proud and to want to preserve it. I'm also a big fan of All Saints Church, not just as a beautiful building but as a place of worship and for what they do for the community. Yet while recognising these institutions, I find it intensely frustrating how little the council administration seems to care about live music venues. I guess one of the reasons is they've never had to. Because nearly all the gigs and concerts that happen in the borough happen despite the council, not because of it. No-one gave us The Hippodrome, or McClusky's. No-one gave Bacchus or The Peel when Gravity started bringing international bands to those venues. We've never received money from any public body to put on a gig, apart from Kingston Carnival. And even then we end up contributing extra from our own pockets to bring a better event to Kingston. Yes, the council does spend money - significant amounts - on the arts but i've seen over a decade of well intentioned people using budgets in inefficient ways. So there's three challenges. One to show council of the importance and size of the events going on right under their noses, and another to try and encourage a desire to preserve it. And then there's what me and Banquet need to do on a business/contract/logistics level to keep this going in Kingston. Obviously I'm personally involved in all three. The Liberal Democrat manifesto for council elections in 2018 will absolutely include a cost-efficient commitment to having a larger live venue in Kingston. This is one good way to get points one and two addressed.
Pretty stoked on ACT. Gonna be as good as anything we have. RT @banquetrecords: ACT-ing on The Peel's closure http://t.co/WuD1PsX4hl
— jon tolley (@JonTolleyTweets) April 30, 2014
As for point three, it's painful that The Peel closed and, for different reasons, that was followed by most of Kingston's youth clubs. It's saddening that closure of The Hippodrome is a step closer. We have to want spaces where younger people, including (but not only) under 18s, can watch live music in an organic environment. When The Peel did close we bought a PA on wheels, it gave us the potential to do shows at All Saints, at The Rose and at Kingston College. I'm positive that we can create and innovate out of this situation with The Hippodrome.. So right now, it's business as usual. There'll be a point when we need your help. It's not quite yet. There's no call to arms, and no protests required at this point. If you live in Kingston, or even if you don't, I would encourage you to contact your local councillor and explain to them the importance of live music venues in town. You can find your local councillor at https://moderngov.kingston.gov.uk/mgMemberIndex.aspx?FN=WARD&VW=LIST&PIC=0. I'm of course happy to talk more on this. get me on @JonTolleyTweets or at a show. Hippodrome, and live gigs in Kingston. I'm rooting for you

The Best Apps to Earn Free Gift Cards
Will Rogers once said, “The fastest way to double your money is to fold it over and put it back in your pocket.” However, Will Rogers didn’t have access to the internet or smartphones. Today getting a little extra play money can be as easy as wasting a little bit of time on your smartphone.
If you’re willing to spend a little time watching ads or taking surveys, it’s not that tough to rack up a few dollars in gift cards. It’s important to note that you’re not going to get rich doing any of these, but if you can score enough free gift cards to pay for a pizza, that’s still a win in my book.
The internet is deluged with promises of winning money from games and videos, many of which fail to deliver, so we’ve put together a list of the best free gift card apps that have paid off in the past.
Use the Swagbucks Search to Earn Free Gift Cards
Parents shouldn’t play favorites, but out of all the apps that let you earn gift cards, this one is my top choice.
It’s easy, it requires very little extra effort (unless I have some time to kill), and it’s paid off. I earned enough points on here to get a $20 iTunes gift card on two different occasions.
Swagbucks offers a few different options for earning points. The simplest option is to make Swagbucks your homepage and then use it to do your normal searches. You’ll earn Swagbucks (SB) randomly. Once you have enough SB, you can cash them in for free gift cards.
Other ways to earn SB include surveys, games, watching ads, and shopping. A few examples of gift cards available include a $25 cash card for PayPal (2500 SB), a $25 Amazon gift card (2200 SB), and a $5 iTunes card (425SB)
Pro tip: The games don’t pay out often. Skip them unless your only aim is to have fun.
Check out our review for more info and tips.
Earn Free Gift Cards by Shopping With Ibotta
The Ibotta app lets you earn gift cards while you do your grocery shopping. When you sign up for Ibotta, the app will ask for favorite stores and apps so it can personalize offers to locations that match your shopping habits.
Before you shop, log onto the app and choose products or tasks for your shopping trip. Once you’ve completed your purchases, take a photo of your receipt and upload it to the app. Ibotta then deposits the cash you’ve earned into your account within 48 hours.
Some common tasks in the app include purchasing any bread for 25 cents back or any orange juice for 25 cents back. There are some brand-specific deals that can earn you a little more money back.
Ibotta offers some bonuses for using the app regularly or referring friends. You’re not likely to earn a ton of money quickly, but it wouldn’t be too difficult to save up $20 or more in a month.
Our Ibotta review has all the deets.
Get to Steppin’ to Earn Gift Cards with Sweatcoin
If you’re trying to squeeze more steps into your day, Sweatcoin may be the motivator you need to get moving. There are a few catches, the first being that the app has a maximum of 5 coins per day. And you must walk outside for the app to calculate your steps (sorry, treadmill lovers). Also, you must keep the app open to track your steps.
You earn .95 coins per 1,000 steps. Once you’ve earned enough coins, you can trade them in for different gifts ranging from money off your energy bill to gift cards.
One current promotion (as of publication) is cash for invites. If you invite 20 people, you get $20. You’ve got to put in some serious street time to earn higher gift cards, but if you’re walking outside a lot anyway, it’s a quick and mindless way to win gift cards.
See our Sweatcoin review for more information.
Use Your Credit or Debit Card and Earn Free Gift Cards on Drop
Drop is a free gift card app that lets you earn gift cards when you link debit and credit cards to your account. Every time you spend money using one of your linked cards, you earn points. Those points can be traded in for different gift cards.
The idea behind this app is that more people are shopping where they can get rewarded and are less concerned about brand loyalty as long as they get a benefit from switching.
When you’re first asked to link credit cards, you may not see your card or bank. At the bottom there’s an option to search; most customers will be able to find their bank there. You should also note that you can’t switch retailers after you pick them, so choose wisely.
You can earn points by adding a second card to Drop, referring friends, and spending money where you normally do. When you shop at one of the brands or locations you chose, you’ll automatically earn points.
You’ll need to have 5,000 points to earn a gift card. Note: Each retailer earns a different number of points per dollar spent.
You should also know that sometimes Drop offers in-app deals one-that offer a much higher reward. While most points credit to your account within three days, the larger offers may take longer to deposit into your account.
Read our Drop review here.
Earn Free Movies and Gift Cards with Microsoft Rewards
While Microsoft Rewards isn’t technically an app, it’s still a program you can use in the background and earn points.
You can earn points by leaving your account logged in and using Bing as your search engine, completing daily polls, and taking quizzes. Level 1 users can earn five points per day. Level 2 users earn up to 20 points per day searching Bing.
Most of the quizzes are entertaining, and they’re easy to complete. Plus, you get bonus points for meeting point goals several days in a row. If you have a few minutes to burn during the day, you can quickly snag several hundred points. You can earn up to 20 points per dollar shopping at the Microsoft store.
The kicker here is that your points can be traded in only for Microsoft rewards (however, that should have been a given, considering the title). You can use points to earn a Microsoft gift card or to enter sweepstakes to win items like an Xbox One. Are you feeling charitable? You can donate your points to charity too.
If you prefer to do your earning on the go, you can earn Microsoft Rewards points by downloading Microsoft Launcher on any Android device.
Cash in Rewards Instantly on InstaGC
InstaGC is a free gift card app that operates much the same as Swagbucks. You can earn points for shopping, surveys videos, and doing web searches.
The simplicity of the reward system on this one may be appealing for some people. For every 100 points you have, you earn $1 towards a gift card. InstaGC has many gift card options from 1-800 Flowers to Hulu, American Airlines, and iTunes. You can access the website from your phone, although there’s no app right now.
You’ll earn a different amount of points depending on the task you complete. For example, one thing you can do is visit certain websites and complete a task (like print coupons or watch a slideshow). Surveys tend to offer higher points (100+), but you can also sign up for free trials and watch videos as well.
Unlike other free gift card apps, when you redeem your points here, you have instant access to your gift card. You don’t have to wait for it to show up in your email hours or days later.
Earn Free Gift Cards and Help Businesses Improve with the National Consumer Panel App
The National Consumer Panel is a partner of Nielsen (the company known for putting out TV-watching numbers). The trick with NCP is that you have to apply to become part of the panel.
The application is simple. All you have to do is fill out a short survey and the panel lets you know when a spot opens up in your area. The market research company offers gift cards as rewards for scanning items you bought at the grocery store.
Unlike traditional apps, NCP sends you a scanner in the mail. (You may be able to scan the items using an app on your phone too depending on your neighborhood).
You transfer the data to the panel, they convert it into points, and you can save your points or redeem them for free gift cards or other prizes.
The NCP isn’t always looking for panelists in every area, but you may get lucky, or you can check back every few months.
Get $5 Free When You Join InboxDollars
You can access InboxDollars online or on the app. Unlike many other options, Inbox Dollars lets you earn actual money instead of points.
When you sign up for InboxDollars, the company connects you with companies looking for feedback on their services or products. You can earn a little bit of money every time you participate in a survey, play games, watch videos, use coupons, shop or receive certain emails.
For paid emails, you get paid for each email you read. Some may require you to complete a small questionnaire.
As of publication, InboxDollars is offering a $5 bonus just for signing up. Cash rewards range from 50 cents up to $15 or more. You can earn cash by logging in every day and completing a few simple tasks, so even if you don’t have time to complete a survey, you may still be able to stack up money. You have to accumulate at least $30 before you can cash out.
Find out more in our InboxDollars review.
Cash in on Free Gift Cards and Electronics with the Perk App
Perk is another point-based free gift card app you can use when you have a little extra time. The idea behind Perk is that you can earn free gift cards just doing what you’d normally do online including shopping and searching.
You can redeem your points for cash, gift cards, airline miles, and donations. The Perk system is a little more complicated than some of the other free gift card apps on the list because you can earn Perk Points and Perk Coins.
You earn Perk Points by shopping, searching, and answering trivia questions. You can trade your accumulated points in for free gift cards, electronics, and donations. Perk Tokens allow you to enter bigger sweepstakes for prizes like phones and $100 gift cards.
You can purchase Perk Tokens in the catalog by using your Perk Points. You can earn also earn tokens by completing different tasks on the app.
The Bottom Line
Earning rewards on a free gift card app is possible. You’re not likely going to make enough to pay off a mortgage, but with a little persistence, you can foot the bill for dinner the next time you go out with your friends.
With easy access via your favorite mobile device, you can earn a little cash while killing time in the waiting room. Just remember to use caution when you download any app or provide personal information. A quick search for reviews should help you stay away from scam apps.

not the same anon about sims 3. how do you play the sims ? Like what kind of games do you like to do ? do you prefer building houses, making your sims' life full of drama... ? I personally really enjoy challenges like legacy, have you tried any? One things sims 4 has that sims 3 doesn't is clothes and hairstyles not being gendered in create-a-sim, and that's pretty cool (especially when you consider how little options there are with only the base game)
Hey! I usually like to make a full town to begin with :-) I have a base edit of Hidden Springs with lots of houses edited from and in the style of The University expansion. I have edited the town park to the Twinbrook version and changed the town hall and schools to all match! It looks much better in my opinion hah! So, I tend to do that then I’d re-add in any new families I have in my galleries. I tend to make huge families as NCPs so grandparents, adults with siblings, kids, etc! I like having big family trees and then it helps with the autonomy of town (in my mind at least). I then tend to play as families - usually I start with parents and the child I want to really start with and then play through their life! Sometimes I will pick the career or an outline of the life (maybe something I’ve not played as much before).
I have tried legacy twice I think! I probably should give it another go because I can’t remember how far I got! I do like the little challenges because it helps mix up gameplay :-)
Absolutely! Those things about 4 are so good - I had no idea they added in so much before I actually bought it. In some ways I wish I was a game designer so I could get a job there and tell them what bits of 3 and 4 to combine for 5 haha!! Xx

The Vision
I’m often asked about the projects I’m working on and just the thought of where to begin overwhelms me. I’ve accepted that I’ve taken on a lot and that my time is running out.
I have been willing and eager to take on all the ideas that come to me or my community, as long as they are sustainable, meaning they can exist without me. I think that’s why my programs have delayed a bit. I’m focusing a lot on capacity building and sharing responsibilities making sure things are “we” rather than “I”.
Here is a list of all my prospective projects:
Community projects
Backyard Gardens
This is basically an initiative with an agriculture extension officer and some community members to teach caretakers of orphan and vulnerable children the skills to create and maintain their own gardens. With this, we’re aiming to tackle malnutrition, hunger, food security and hopefully provide families with the skills to gain some income off the vegetables and fruits they grow.
A Career Fair
After completing the backyard garden I want to apply for another grant to do a career fair. I’m really excited about this because I have a lot of ideas to ensure attendees get the most out of this fair.
NCP Structures
My last community project is to build the kitchen and latrine structures at the NCP. (An NCP is like a daycare for the orphan and vulnerable children). They already started but ran out of money. The caretakers cook outside and I don’t even know where they use the bathroom. I tried to go the whole sustainable route with this by trying to mobilize community leaders to donate but things weren’t progressing. I told my counterpart once they provide me with a quota for the structures we can begin to raise money locally and abroad.
In School
Upon my arrival to school, I administered a survey to teachers to determine what they saw as areas of improvements, hoping to provide me with a starting point for my projects.
An Alternative To Corporal Punishment Training
In schools teachers, rely on corporal punishment to discipline the students but it has now been prohibited by the Ministry of Education. However, teachers were never taught any other disciplinary strategies and they too noticed that corporal punishment is not effective. So, I started a committee and we hope to conduct research to find the most effective strategies to then implement in the school. I’m also really excited about this, if done correctly it can provide a more holistic approach to learning and discipline. This is really difficult because it’s changing mindsets and that doesn’t occur overnight. The committee is reading an article regarding corporal punishment and classroom strategies and once they found what works best we hope to do a mandatory training for all teachers. I have to say I’m fortunate to have a head teacher that supports my initiatives 100%. He’s with everything I’ve proposed to him and it makes me feel like he trust my vision.
GLOW & BRO
GLOW and BRO are empowerment clubs. Girls leading our world for the ladies and Boys reaching out for the gents. I’ve been trying to establish these clubs since I got here. I have two counterparts for each club and they are amazing and passionate individuals. We’ve held our first meeting for both but with school breaks, my trainings and now the strike, scheduling has been difficult. These clubs are intended to be safe spaces for youth to learn about life skills, sexual reproductive health, build their self-esteem, gain support and build bonds. The students are really eager to join the club, especially the boys. I just want this club to persist long after I’m gone.
A Music Club
We definitely need a new name but the idea for this club came about randomly after one of the students and I started sharing our appreciation for music. I asked the boy to identify a small committee and have simply been providing them with support to make the club happen. Basically, how the club would work is every month they’ll select a topic (pre-approved by their teacher advisor) and as a club create a piece whether song or poem that promotes a positive message and then perform it during morning assembly. The topics we’ve discussed so far are HIV/AIDS, peer pressure, drugs, and examination pressure, things that students can relate to but that won’t disappoint the head teacher (principal). We hope students can use music as an outlet for the challenges they encounter.
Books for Africa
This is a fundraiser volunteers and I have been doing to get our schools and libraries a 1,000 books.
Library Development
This breaks down into several sections. I’m basically trying to work with the librarian to build a curriculum for her classes. We want to increase the usage of the library. We’ve implemented vocabulary and english games in hopes of making english learning fun.
Students are designing their own vocabulary book. I noticed during our games students learn new words and don’t write things down, they don’t even bring their notebooks. So I hope by allowing them to design their own vocabulary booklets they’ll safeguard their books and want to use them.
I’ve been typing the name of every textbook and a list of its contents, hoping to provide both students and teachers with an easy way to find what they’re looking for. People sometimes overlook the information already at their fingertips and this resource form aims to bridge that gap.
Hooked on Books Competition
This is a competition to see who can read the most books by the end of the school term. We hoped by providing them with a prize they’ll scurry and sign up but the thought of presenting their summary to their class has deterred them. And, that’s not something we’re going to compromise. Public speaking is every student's nightmare, they laugh at each other for trying and it’s frustrating to see because it really deters them from doing things that will help them improve. Now, we’re working on recruitment strategies; students just need a little shove in the right direction to help them surpass the limitations their fears create.
Overall, these are my goals and I’ve forbidden myself from taking on any more projects. I really want to contribute to my post and help them meet our numbers. To be honest, I felt a little bad being that most of my projects are ongoing and in the implementation stage, I didn’t meet the reporting goal I set for myself. Next reporting period I hope am hoping to have completed all these projects.
