What I Think The Agreste Family Was Like Back In Shadybug’s And Claw Noir’s Dimension
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ok. Here I’ll be going over what I think the Agreste family was like in Shadybug’s and Claw Noir’s dimension. I’ll be operating under the assumption that everyone in Shadybug’s and Claw Noir’s dimension, including the Agreste family, are the opposites of who they were in Ladybug’s and Cat Noir’s dimension in at least some way shape or form. After all, as shown in the Miraculous World: Paris - Tales Of Shadybug And Claw Noir movie, Shadybug and Claw Noir were once villains whereas Ladybug and Cat Noir were always heroes and Betterfly was a hero whereas Monarch was a villain. So, I think that in Shadybug’s and Claw Noir’s dimension, everyone’s personalities are reversed to some extent. Also, Spoiler Alert for the Miraculous Tales Of Ladybug And Chat Noir TV series and the Miraculous World: Paris - Tales Of Shadybug And Claw Noir movie. With that out of the way, let’s dive right in.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First, I’ll be going over what Gabriel and Emilie were doing under The Supreme’s reign prior to Emilie’s death. As stated in the Miraculoys World: Paris - Tales Of Shadybug And Claw Noir movie, Shadybug’s and Claw Noir’s dimension is under the tyrannical rule of someone named The Supreme. And @unecoccinellenoire made a fanfic called ‘eilahtan’ on archiveofourown.org where, in Chapter 3, Emilie was portrayed as someone who was killed for defying The Supreme. And, after thinking about it, I figured that’s probably what most likely happened to Emilie. After all, as shown in the good Gabriel’s version of the Miraculous Theme Song, as Gabriel was holding Emilie in his arms, The Supreme’s symbol appeared right behind him. Here’s how I think the whole scenario went down. As stated in the Miraculous World: Paris - Tales Of Shadybug And Claw Noir movie, Gabriel Agreste AKA Betterfly betrayed The Supreme back when he used to work for them and stole the Butterfly Miraculous and the Peacock Miraculous from The Supreme which led to the people he loved getting hurt. I think that Gabriel only worked for The Supreme to steal the Peacock Miraculous in order for Emilie to have a child and thus they created that world’s Adrien just like their counterparts did. But unlike the main universe’s Emilie who, as shown in the episode ‘Passion’, was content with how things were after using the Peacock Miraculous to the point that she didn’t want Gabriel to use the Ladybug Miraculous and the Black Cat Miraculous to revive her, this world’s Emilie became emboldened by the power of the Peacock Miraculous and thus became not-so-content with how things were under The Supreme’s reign to the point that she began rebelling against The Supreme by combining peoples’ fear of The Supreme with some sparks of hatred they have for them to create sentimonsters that would fight back against The Supreme’s reign. And I think that while the good Gabriel was, at first, reluctant about it, he eventually started to support Emilie’s decision to fight The Supreme more and more before completely making up his mind that The Supreme has to be taken down after they killed his wife Emilie. As stated in the episode ‘Collusion’, the evil Gabriel apparently used to be someone who designed clothes to make people happy and, as shown in the episode ‘Ladybug And Cat Noir (Origins - Part 1)’, the evil Gabriel later became incredibly paranoid to the point that he initially refused to let Adrien go outside under any circumstances. I think that means that the evil Gabriel used to be more optimistic before eventually becoming pessimistic. And, as stated in Miraculous Secrets - Adrien’s Double Life, Gabriel was never the same after Emilie’s disappearance. That probably means that the evil Gabriel went from optimistic to pessimistic due to the Peacock Miraculous’s effect on Emilie before finally becoming an evil supervillain after it took its toll. And, since the good Gabriel is, in some ways, the opposite of the evil Gabriel and, as stated in the Miraculous World: Paris - Tales Of Shadybug And Claw Noir movie, he used to work for The Supreme before betraying them and stealing the Peacock Miraculous to have a child with Emilie before trying to redeem himself by becoming a superhero, I think that also means that the good Gabriel used to be a lot more pessimistic and selfish before eventually becoming a lot more optimistic and selfless due to Emilie’s fight against The Supreme before finally becoming a superhero after The Supreme killed her.
As for how I think The Supreme killed her, I think that, since Emilie was so emboldened by the power of the Peacock Miraculous that she’s been showing up to battles against The Supreme’s reign in person. And that backfired on Emilie since that probably allowed The Supreme to easily locate and confront her in person as well. During that confrontation, The Supreme probably put a spell on the already damaged Peacock Miraculous that damaged it even further and caused it to kill Emilie which probably got Emilie to get out of there before The Supreme could get their hands on the Peacock Miraculous again. After all, as shown in the Miraculous World: Paris - Tales Of Shadybug And Claw Noir movie, The Supreme managed to put a magical block on the Wish that’s granted by the Ladybug Miraculous and the Black Cat Miraculous that prevents the wielder from summoning Gimmi and, as shown in the episode ‘Mayura (Heroes’ Day - Part 2)’, the Peacock Miraculous was previously damaged which probably means that the Peacock Miraculous from Shadybug’s and Claw Noir’s world was probably already damaged too. And that aforementioned confrontation between Emilie and The Supreme is probably not only why the good Gabriel doesn’t use the Peacock Miraculous but also why the good Gabriel chose to work from the shadows in the Miraculous World: Paris - Tales Of Shadybug And Claw Noir movie. After all, that confrontation probably indicated to the good Gabriel that if he were to operate as Betterfly out in the open, The Supreme would probably do something similar to the Butterfly Miraculous that would cause it to kill him too.

Next, I’ll be going over the good Gabriel’s relationship with his son Adrien. As shown in Gabriel’s version of the Miraculous Theme Song and in the picture above, the good Gabriel probably also had a strained relationship with his son. It was most likely during the good Gabriel’s crusade against The Supreme as Betterfly that Gabriel’s relationship with his son Adrien started to get strained. After all, as shown in the Miraculous World: Paris - Tales Of Shadybug And Claw Noir movie, the formerly evil Adrien hated his father for seemingly not grieving his mother after her death. And the good Gabriel was probably too busy rebelling against The Supreme as Betterfly. So, unlike the evil Gabriel who, as shown in the episode ‘Ladybug And Cat Noir (Origins - Part 1)’, constantly kept Adrien inside his house, the good Gabriel probably constantly had Adrien leave the house as much as possible and explore the outside world in order to help boost Adrien’s independence while also making sure that Adrien is accompanied by a bodyguard to keep him safe since, as shown in a flashback in the Miraculous World: Paris - Tales Of Shadybug And Claw Noir movie, that world’s version of The Gorilla accompanied Adrien to Marinette’s family’s bakery. However, I think that plan backfired. After all, as shown in the episode ‘Chameleon’, the good Adrien was pretty much optimistic to a fault and, as also shown in the episode ‘Ladybug And Cat Noir (Origins - Part 1)’, the good Adrien was very distraught when it came to being locked inside the house. So, the formerly evil Adrien was probably pessimistic to the point that he thought his father was having him be outside the house so often just to make sure that he wouldn’t be able to spend time with him. That probably made the formerly evil Adrien resent his father even more. This is all most likely the reason why the formerly evil Adrien became Claw Noir in the first place. Also, the more I think about it, the more I think that if the formerly evil Adrien were to find out that his father is Betterfly and exactly how his mother died before his heart-to-heart with his counterpart about moving on from their mother’s death, the more I think that he would probably transform into Claw Noir right in front of his father and attack him. After all, like I pointed out earlier, the formerly evil Adrien hated his father for seemingly not grieving his mother’s death. So, finding out that his father inadvertently had a hand in Emilie’s untimely demise by giving her the damaged Peacock Miraculous. But if he were to find out about it after his heart-to-heart with his counterpart, he might forgive his father in the end. Although, that still might take him quite a bit of time.

Now, I’ll be going this world’s Nathalie’s relationship with this world’s Agreste family. I honestly think that this world’s Nathalie would have the same type of relationship with Betterfly that she did in Chapter 1 of unecoccinellenoire’s fanfic ‘eilahtan’ where Nathalie was portrayed as a woman who devoted herself to helping Betterfly but, unlike the other Nathalie, didn’t know who Betterfly was under the mask and in Chapter 4 of that same fanfic, Nathalie was in love with Betterfly without knowing that he was actually Gabriel Agreste. I think that all of this fits since, as shown in the episode ‘Catalyst (Heroes’ Day - Part 1)’, the other Nathalie did know who Hawkmoth was under the mask. But this world’s Nathalie doesn’t know since her circumstances are somewhat the opposite of her counterpart’s. And by that logic, I think that this world’s Nathalie also despised Gabriel before starting to understand his perspective since, as shown in the episode ‘Mayura (Heroes’ Day - Part 2)’, Nathalie loved Gabriel before she, as shown in the episode ‘Evolution’, grew to despise him. I think the way that scenario would play out is that Nathalie would resent Gabriel at first for seemingly trying to avoid Adrien by making him go outside and, by extension, away from him so often until she finds out that he’s Betterfly and starts to understand that the reason why Gabriel couldn’t make time for Adrien because he was too busy helping others against The Supreme’s tyrannical reign. That being said, I also think that one similarity this Nathalie would have with the other Nathalie is that she would still do everything she can to make sure that Gabriel can make more time for Adrien. After all, as shown in the episode ‘Ladybug And Cat Noir (Origins - Part 1)’, the other Nathalie at least tried to accommodate Adrien even when she still held respect for Gabriel.

Finally, I’ll be going over what this world’s versions of Felix and Amelie were doing. As shown in the episode ‘Felix’, Felix seemed pessimistic and angry at the world. So, I think that this world’s Felix is optimistic and a very easygoing person. And, as shown in the episode ‘Emotion’, Felix wasn’t above killing innocent bystanders. That would mean that this world’s Felix is also very selfless and kind to the point that he wants to help Betterfly take down The Supreme and tried to comfort Adrien after he lost his mother. And unlike his counterpart who, as stated in the episode ‘Representation’, had a horrible relationship with his father, I think that this Felix had a good relationship with his father. Speaking of Felix’s father, he seemed to be really cruel and hated magic to the point that he treated Felix horribly as shown in the episode ‘Representation’. So, this world’s version of Felix’s father was probably really selfless and loved magic to the point that he used the Peacock Miraculous to help people. But I don’t think he did so by going out and being a superhero like this world’s Emilie did. After all, I don’t think he wanted to risk The Supreme getting the Peacock Miraculous. So, he probably used the Peacock Miraculous to create sentimonsters out of peoples’ happiness that would help comfort them despite The Supreme’s reign. And he probably constantly did so until the damaged Peacock Miraculous finally did him in much to this world’s Amelie’s horror. Speaking of this world’s Amelie, she was probably very hardened by her husband’s death but still has a sweet side underneath. After all, that would, in a sense, be the opposite of her counterpart who, as shown in the episode ‘Felix’, can be pretty conniving under her sweet facade.
Well, that’s all for this post.
See you all next time.
