one of the cashiers at the grocery store i go to is so fucking fixated on shoplifters and it drives me crazy any time i check out through him (i try to avoid him but his checkout is often the most open/empty - hm! i wonder why! - and im often on a tight schedule w the bus). he brings up shoplifters every opportunity he gets and he seems so convinced that theyre a huge problem.

BUT WHAT REALLY GETS ME ,,, is that today the customer in front of me was needing a price check on one of the items bc it should've come out to be cheaper, so he was kind of apologetic abt it and saying "ah well, yknow, six dollars is six dollars, especially with how expensive groceries are right now" and i was nodding and agreeing (trying to show that i dont mind the wait and also solidarity my guy good for u for speaking up and getting the price fixed on that) AND THE CASHIER AGREES. FULLY ACKNOWLEDGES AND BEMOANS THE FACT THAT GROCERIES ARE CRAZY RN. AND THEN GOES ON TO COMPLAIN ABOUT SHOPLIFTERS. HUH ??????

? Olive has the same meow for "please come pet me while i eat" and "please come here and play with me" now, which only developed after i bought her a new toy (quickly became her new favorite) which is interesting. maybe this is a general meow for "pay attention to me" now .. she no longer really meows for being pet while she eats anymore after buying this toy for them both, for some reason, which is good (that was a REALLY bad habit of hers ive been trying to wean her off of)

#her meow for ''please play with me'' USED to be a very high pitched cry which changed #i feel like ive been playing with her in the same amount as i used to though so i dont think its that #she has the ''pet me while i eat'' habit because as a kitten my family had many adult cats that used to bully her #so i would make sure they didnt push her away from the food dish by staying near her when she ate. which she then wanted into adulthood #i then specifically would feed my cats upstairs in my room after that went on too long #that was a combination of a lot of bad things all at once that she grew up in (family only giving cats one food dish & free feeding them) #i would later atleast convince them to add a second and third dish to different areas that i'd maintain #while having my own food and water up in my room for my cats #.. still .. there were 7 cats. #its a lot better now though. there's only 3 cats that live in that house now. and i took my two girls with me here #i get to care for them how i'd like now .. its better that way #she developed the very high pitched cry when i left for a year while i was trying to sort out my living situation. #apparently she used to meander the house carrying a toy around and looking for me the year i was away #i know thats a separation anxiety thing (she also does this when i go to work and go to sleep) but she'll do it for play as well #they both have different toy collections and styles of play they prefer that im trying to add to and expand #i wanna get one of those kick-y toys next. those fish that wiggle. i think Olive specifically will LOVE that #Hope is more of a ribbon-toy and laser light girl. Apparently Apollo Justice Trilogy is coming out to the west physically!!!

At least it's being sold in Canada officially, through VGP and Amazon Canada. And VGP did confirm this is not an exclusive of theirs. Now to wait and see if Capcom confirms this and adds links to their website or just let it happen without acknowledging it. Usually they are slow with physical pre-orders at least with ace attorney in the west.

So I'm holding out for US stores to get them, but I'm VERY excited. Would this mean they finally release the OG ace attorney trilogy in the west???!!! Maybe a new updated version with concept art and interviews like TGAA and/or the new scenario creator like in AJT.

OC Files: Céleste Astarloza

Since Spain ended up winning the Women's WC, I'll be briefly talking about my RM girls; or at least those whose outline I'm the most satisfied with currently. Here's the first one!

First off, her apperance. Here's a Picrew image I use as a main reference for her design (The original is here and its made by instagram.com/2muchglitters.).

Céles isn’t actually spanish; as she is from Biarritz, France; belonging to the french part of the Basque Country (Also known as Iparralde). However, her having some family members at the other side of the Pyrenees makes her often visit the neighbour country. For the most part she and her family had been watching Rose Griffon play at the Euro League, but when the FFI started, they decided to move temporally to Madrid as to watch Red Matador play (But still support her home country via TV). And finally once all eliminatories were done, she also went to Liocott too. Though truth be said, she never thought they would be put againist each other in the same group again.

For the most part, Céles is bubbly. She does come from a middle-high class so her struggles aren't many, but also leaving her a quite innocent view of the world. A double edged sword overall. While she first wasn't sure how to feel about Red Matador as a team, she grew so fond of its players that she ended up preferring them over the french ones. So in the time they all spent in Liocott, she pretty much started to hang around them often. Though, neither nor mom or dad are seem fond of it.

...At some point during the EE, her appearance accidentally caught the interest of the RM captain Querardo, which led to him showing off just to impress her (Like he'd do with any girl he found pretty). Céles took it a bit too seriously, even getting interested on approaching Que romantically, but upon finding out that 1- He actually wasn't much into her, and 2- He had changed his focus on someone else, she felt rather confused and dissappointed. At least while hanging around RM's defender trio (2-3-4)... It would be Antonio the one to win over her heart.

She also befriends other passerbies related to RM, including the poor reserve GK Donato (Still trying to get over his expelling back at Madrid) and Carmina, a mysterious tourist.

Funfact, but because most of her travels have been only inside of France and Northern Spain, being on Liocott has been an entirely new experience for her. Add to this her clueless nature, and she's 100% prone to fall on all sorts of tourist traps. At least she still keeps a smile no matter what...

BONUS:

Here's also her drawn by me. It might have some flaws, but at least it still serves as a reference of her hair texture + color (Since I find it straight up impossible to recreate this style on ANY Picrew at all, nor in any other character maker).

In this drawing she reminds me of a bird, somehow. I'll take it as a positive though since I do associate her with canary birds...

Ooooh that's an interesting thought. I think the main idea was that there are different ways to curse someone, all of which have different ways of being cured - but you can only know which way someone was cursed by little signs.

The type of curse Agatha's mother used changed Mike, but it didn't change his feet, meaning it was a particular type of curse that didn't have an effect on them. The reason Violet asked Mike so many random questions was to narrow it down - maybe if Mike had painted his nails it would have made it harder for Violet to diagnose. Or maybe he would have been left with permanently painted nails when he changed back...

I can see there being other kinds of curses that have other signs - for example, Mike's body hair still being present was a sign, so if it hadn't been there (as in caused by the curse) then that would've been a different type of curse that Violet would have to figure out - same applies to the eyebrows.

The curse lore has the potential to become its on field of study here 😂 I see the curses as illnesses, and to know how to cure it, you have to know what it is first by checking the symptoms!

So how are vampires and werewolves not known, like people are being bitten all the time, and I can only imagine the amount of howling and such on full moons.

Anon here making me think about the tough stuff! Okay this is probably quite important to the world building for this au though so very valid question! I took it to CJ and we talked about it a bit to figure things out, here's what we have;

Hypnosis and simular mind tricks are a very common power amongst vampires. Even if it's not something they specialise in most have basic skills and it's one of the first things new vampires are taught. Many will use this to simply stop humans from realising they've been bitten, or to forget that it happened at all. Sure the bite mark will be there for a few days, but it could be dismissed as something else, or maybe not even noticed. Depending on exactly what tricks the vampire used on them.

And even if someone did remember that it was a vampire who had bitten them. Who would they tell? Who would believe them? Vampires aren't real!

As for the werewolves, there is definietly a lot of howling on full moons. Ren and his pack usually move out of populated areas on the full moon, they stick to the forest that borders the city, it's safer out there for everyone. But wolf howls travel pretty damn far, so surely they'd still be heard in the city itself? That's where Scar, Joel, and maybe some of the other magical folks come in. A little magic set up around the border muffles or completly blocks out the howls. If the wolf is close to the city you'll still hear it, but most humans would just dismiss it as a noisy dog.

And besides, there are no wild wolves in the UK, where the au is set, so how could that howling be a wolf? A ridiciolous idea!

I think that's everything we talked about? There's probably room for more development here though! Aaaaand a little bit of suspension of disbelief is also appreciated, this is a fantasy (ish) au, things can be weird and not make sense and it's probably fine haha

I mean, I could list probably dozens of food items in response to that (I was a very picky eater as a kid 😅): dark chocolate, spicy food, anything beyond basic American food 😅...

I don't think I've changed much activities-wise... or at least I can't think of any? To be honest, I don't do much... 😬🤷‍♂️

And trying to think of something that went the other way (loved -> okay)... I guess fast food was big for me when I was a kid (especially McDonalds) and now I am very meh about it.

I could say, watching baseball and professional basketball - I do think the math nerds have taken a lot of fun out of both games (and I say that as a math nerd)... but to be totally honest, it also probably has a lot to do with the fact that my teams both suck, have sucked for years, and show no signs of stopping sucking anytime soon. If that situation ended, I imagine I'd love to watch them again.
