Hey do y'all remember my analog photography excited rants from 2022?

Remember how I said I wanted either the Pentax k1000 or the Canon AE-1?

So I got both of those for Christmas. Awesome epic I've been having the time of my life. I don't have anywhere to get them developed yet (working on putting together my own darkroom setup, but I don't have a ventilated enough space to put it) but I'm having a great time taking photos.

My stage crew director knows I'm having a great time with photography this way, so when he was cleaning out things in his house and he found some old cameras his dad gave him that he wasn't going to use he gave them to me! Great! Fantastic!

Two cameras, two more tripods, a bunch of lenses and some filters! Awesome!

One of the cameras is worth around $100 by itself, the cheapest of my cameras currently.

The other? Lowest price I saw is almost $900 just for the camera. The highest? Over ELEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS with just ONE of the lenses he gave me.

I'm in shock. It is a FANCY CAMERA. Like. "I don't think I would be able to easily purchase this on my own" fancy.

So needless to say if I don't take a photography class in college I think I am committing an actual crime atp. I have FOUR analog cameras and a BUNCH of lenses. Just. WOW. Going from "I have my Polaroid camera but I hope I get a real analog photography camera!" to "I own over $11,000 of camera equipment." Feels insane.

The Leicas are closely linked to the emergency of street photography, spontaneity, the capturing at the decisive moment.
