Vocalista do Metallica doa coleção de carros para museu nos EUA

O vocalista do Metallica, James Hetfield, enviou para o museu Petersen Automotive parte de sua coleção pessoal de veículos. Cerca de dez carros que pertenciam ao astro do rock agora viram uma exposição permanente do espaço, em Los Angeles, EUA.

Recentemente, Hetfield também foi nomeado um membro fundador do museu. Os carros ficarão na galeria Família Bruce Meyer, dentro do museu. Hetfield é conhecido por gostar de carros customizados e também hot rods.

Entre os carros que farão parte do acervo do museu estão o Voodoo Priest, baseado em um Lincoln Zephyr 1937, um Auburn 1936, um Packard 1934 inspirado em um Delahaye, um Ford 1936, uma picape F-100 e três modelos criados “do zero” pelo fabricante de carros customizados Rick Dore.

Um dos carros customizados por Rick Dore, um Jaguar 1948, batizado de Black Pearl venceu um concurso de carros customizados em 2014. Além dos carros, a exposição terá ainda artefatos e itens que foram colecionados pelos integrantes da banda durante toda a carreira.

Turnê no Brasil em 2020

Atualmente, o Metallica está em turnê pelo mundo, com o espetáculo “WorldWired”. O braço brasileiro da turnê terá quatro shows: em Porto Alegre (21 de abril), Curitiba (23 de abril), São Paulo (25 de abril) e Belo Horizonte (27 de abril). As bandas Greta Van Fleet e Ego Kill Talent farão os shows de abertura em todas as datas.

Of all his extensively meticulous work both in music and in manufacturing, Reclaimed Rust will feature the 1948 Jaguar ‘Black Pearl’, 1934 Packard ‘Aquarius’, 1953 Buick Skylark ‘Skyscraper’, 1937 Lincoln Zephyr ‘Voodoo Priest’, and the 1936 Auburn ‘Slow Burn.’
