i dont entirely disagree with the decision of turning Roxanne into the mayor, but i feel like being a reporter was such a large part of her identity. yes, her being a reporter was to play into the classic comic book tropes and i guess divorcing her from that job would be subverting that?? it still doesnt feel right to me though.

besides character inconsistencies, i think roxanne becoming mayor would pull too much focus from the show, it would be better to focus on megamind adjusting to being a hero since the show is about him. her being mayor is a big change that requires a lot of setup (setup that never actually happens) and the writers would have to jump through hoops to get her away from her desk if they wanted to include her in other wacky hijinks.

plus, wouldn't it be fun to keep the original mayor? its would have been such an easy way to expand the cast.

and now if u bring up van eck industries, or the head of the company, when jesper is within earshot he WILL look at u like he's worked out how to kill you (he has) and it will be such a huge problem for u, for a week unless someone intervenes on ur behalf

Ok well, the bonus content is literally the last thing I can nitpick and so I guess... I will?

I mean I have a couple of things I want to go through the volumes for overall for overarching patterns.

But this is the last hyperfocused thing. And it has to do with the covers law. Sherlock's team gets even volumes and Liam's gets odd volumes, which yeah that's been true through volume 10 here.

Except. Except. Volume 8 is a picture of Mycroft who... he's not NOT on Sherlock's side... he just is on Liam's side too. He's tacitly agreed to the plan and knows about it. He's helping. How can he possibly be in Sherlock's group?

Because Sherlock is defining who is in his group.

Sherlock then goes "canon characters v. new introductions" but that breaks down because Moran is on Volume 7 and uhhh yeah.

Anyway. Just some silliness. I know the end bits and middle panels aren't always super indicative of things going on, but they are usually still quite in character, which is honestly great.
