Panhard CD Le Mans, 1962. The CD made its debut at Le Mans during the test days in April 1962, where the car was registered in the prototype class for engines of up to 850cc. It was powered by an air-cooled flat twin engine but the lightweight, highly aerodynamic body meant that of the 4 cars to enter the race in June one finished 16th overall and won its class and the "Indice de Performance," which meant it had consumed the least amount of fuel whilst maintaining an average speed of 142.793 km/h (88.7 mph).

Whenever we come across a Panhard we always have some problem with the name: CD, DB, Dyna even concatenated in different order, but we are never sure of the model.
