Connecting the things that can lead back to Da’Leth;
Marou the owner of the Overcrow Apothocary in Rosohna had crates of refined residuum, and was also a meeting spot for Oban and Vence Nuthaleus’ messenger. Vence was Da’Leth’s annex, and was later traded as part of the peace treaty between the Empire and Dynasty to end the war of Ash and Light (specifically for stealing/receiving the stolen Luxon Beacons).*
Essek has a ‘weathervane’ that measures the movement and shifting of power along the leylines**; Essek and Da’Leth had a tenuous working relationship with regards to study of the Luxon Beacons, it’s possible there was a quid pro quo agreement that Essek would share his findings on leylines in exchange for Da’Leth and the Assembly’s on the Beacon.
Demid Sunlash was in Uthodurn specifically to study texts recovered from the ruins of Molaesmyr, where Da’Leth is originally from.***
The ruins of Molaesmyr are described (I believe in EGtW) as being inhabited by ‘strange’ fey creatures. Olly witnessed Da’Leth in the Feywild collaborating with the Unseelie Court.****
I’m sure I’m missing some connective tissue as I don’t know how to tie the attack on the Ashari; how Otohan and Ira are connected; why specifically Marquet as a location was chosen; and I’m sure a dozen other loose threads that I can’t see at the moment but there are at least several overlapping coincidences.
*Vence was part of the Angel of Irons cult, a front for Therizdun. While I have no evidence to support my theory that Da’Leth was aware of Vence’s actions I maintain that he would have to be incompetent to remain ignorant of this or was complicit and Vence was an acceptable sacrifice. There may also be a connection between the weakening of the barrier between planes and moon nonsense but at this time there is nothing concrete tying these actions together.
**This may be a misunderstanding, since after rewatching the scene what is actually said is ‘leyline like’ and references a ‘net’, which is not dissimilar to the verbiage Matt used when describing the ‘cage’ around Ruidus which was ‘a latticework’
***Demid may be part of the Grim Varity, and I would not be surprised to learn he had been attacked and killed by shadow assassins. During his conversation with Beau and Caleb he mentions that there are people watching and listening always, and suggests a different location to compare notes.
****There is a possibility the the corruption of the Savalirwood may be tied to moon nonsense and not be the by product of Aeorian experimentation; the two may also be connected not enough information is known at this time.

so. do we think someone in specific [in canon] is writing the archivist notes in the recent cr tweets?
like my first guess is obviously archivist demid sunlash, but the fact that it talks about exaltants tells me that the person writing this is either in the grim verity or was at ludinus's lightshow [and no disrespect but i think if demid was in a secret society of the moon he would never shut up about it]
next thought is beauregard, somehow, after she gets out of her bonds. but I feel like expositor and archivist are two very different titles so i am not solid on that at all. would be cool though!
that leaves me with two thoughts: it's just some dude being used as a narrative device and it's not that deep. OR hear me out. these could be the notes of a cobalt soul archivist [maybe not even cobalt soul!!! surely there's other organizations that use the title archivist!] guest character that will be with one of the groups in the next episode. crazy idea, i know, but weirder things have happened i think!!!
lmk if you have other ideas though, i will be rotating this until we have an answer

where in the world is Archivist Demid Sunlash and how much money would you bet on the notion that a tragic accident utterly devoid of witnesses has befallen him in the last six years that have passed since we last saw him

i just imagine whenever imogen rolls low for looking through the library for information it's not because it's her fault but rather because there's two humans, one with ginger hair and one with dark brown hair, who are also furiously researching and she can't find what she's looking for becuase they might have it.
"caleb. caleb, look at this. more shit about the fucking moons that apparently need to be dealt with. add this to the list of books we're paying to make a copy off and be shipped to the soul."
"alright. you know we wouldn't have need to come here had we paid more attention to your fellow archive member who was very interested in the moons as well."
"well when he was talking about it it sounded so fucking boring and we were dealing with a lot of shit that we couldn't really have given him any time anyways. and now he's mia and now we have to try and find him or his stupid research."
"yah that is unfortunate. has jester responded back if any of her sendings had reached mr sunlash?"
"nah she's been sending to him at least once a day but no response. some of jester's message are pretty fucking creepy though so i'd get why he might not respond. hey do you think if just we hit up the moonweaver she'll give us the answer?"
"considering we were part of the attempt of trying to pass off artagan's cult to her, i don't presume she'll respond kindly to us. and you forget neither of us are godly people beauregard"
"that's fair. do you think if jester spoke with artagan she might get him to tell her.
"..."
"yeah cad would probably have more luck with the wildmother. anyways add this to the list and i'll go look for more books."
"sure. can we add this too? i've skimmed it but it speaks about a type of magic that is unknown to wildemount and we might benefit from learning more about it."
"sure yeah. add it to the list. i love having fucking magic shit that the cerberus doesn't know about and we can lord it over them."

Oh hey don't forget about that Cobalt Soul moon theorist the Nein ran across in Uthodurn. He's the one who speculated that Ruidus was a betrayer god invention abandoned at the end of the calamity or a pre-creation, back when the elements were consuming Exandria. Demid Sunlash. Also last we heard he'd very abruptly left Uthodurn and stated his studies had shifted. Perhaps that was meant as a literal shift in location, or perhaps he found something that prompted more digging with more elite researchers...

So a byproduct of being obsessed with the Mighty Nein campaign is that I knew I had heard some things about the moons and laylines and the like. Anyway I’m going to start compiling some things I’ve noticed. Feel free to add your own:
“i continue to find an aberration in my data pertaining to exandria. a cyclical months long slow surge in low level magical interference that then recedes just as slowly. something that tangles my readings and upsets my analysis. it is too faint to identify the arcane nature or source but i worry if this pertains to the shifting between the veils. could be something very interesting.” —planewalker ryn from episode 129 M9 campaign.
<< This connects to campaign 3 where we learn that Roe Estani mentioned “the growing recurrence of Ruidus flares and curiosity regarding the abnormal record of Ruidusborn instilled further interest in funding into the study of Ruidus”
this funding connects to the next reference i found:
Demid Sunlash was interviewed by the M9 in 74 and 76. He believed Ruidus was a “pre-creation” or it had been created by the betrayer gods that was cut short with the calamity. Demid proceeded to go missing from Uthodurn saying his studies had shifted. His location is as of yet unknown.
