Hello! Can you do a Damian and reader who are friends, and one day the reader goes over to the Wayne Manor and called Titus? Like both Damian and the reader got into a silly little joke about who Titus loves more? I think it would be funny if Titus went to the reader because they had treats or something in their pocket haha
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
‘This is utterly ridiculous.’
‘What? are you too chicken that Titus might like me more.’ You taunted as you then started clucking like a chicken in Damian’s ear, to which he then shoves you away by the shoulder.
‘I am not chicken and besides it was only one time that Titus wrongfully ignored me for you.’ Damian replied but you weren’t buying it.
‘If you aren’t chicken then why are you trying to get out of our bet then? Hmmm? Seems a little suspicious there Wayne.’ You asked and Damian could only curse himself for acting so brash and accepting the stupid challenge you pestered him with as Titus patiently stood a good distance between you and Damian, tilting his head to the side as though to ask him what was taking so long.
‘Our bet? You mean your stupid-‘ you raised your brows at Damian as you started clucking again, though softer this time and Damian knew there was no version of this where he got out of participating in your bet. Not a single one because you wouldn’t let him live it down otherwise and Damian prides himself of being a man of his word, no matter how ridiculous it might seem. So Damian bites his tongue and swallows his pride before moving a couple of spaces away from you before muttering under his breath. ‘Let’s get this over with before anyone dares see me in such a state.’
You smiled and then looked towards Titus, who was still stood perfectly still in his spot, before dropping down to your knees and holding out your arms saying. ‘Titus! Come here boy! Come here!’ Damian scoffed at this display and looked at the Great Dane expectantly as he clicked his fingers and pointed to the spot in-front of him. ‘Titus. Come.’ He commanded. Titus didn’t move for a good couple of seconds, as though contemplating who he should go to, his owner or his owner’s friend who gives him the bestest tasting treats he’s ever tasted; which was saying a lot coming from a Great Dane who’s owner was the son of a billionaire.
‘Titus sweetie come to y/n!’ You called out sweetly.
‘No. Titus come to me.’ Damian commanded again.
Titus walked forwards a little, still hesitant on who to choose, but as though he was being chased by a bat out of hell, the Great Dane bolted over to you and rammed into you hard. So hard I fact that within a blink of an eyes you were knocked to the floor either Titus sticking his muzzle into your face, his rancid and warm dog breath cascading over you, as Damian stood over you with crossed arms and what looked like a pout.
‘You cheated.’ He said after a while.
‘No. I won.’ You replied pridefully at your victory over him.
‘No, Titus was coming towards me, only to stop and run towards you instead. You did something, I know you did and I’ll find out what it is.’ Damian barks, bearing his teeth at you but you were more than use to his occasional outbursts that ultimately mean nothing.
You shrugged as Titus then decides that he wants to lie down, but as he does lie down he goes and rests his head on your stomach and a paw on your leg, making it so that you wouldn’t be getting up anytime soon if Titus had anything to say about it. ‘You’re just a sore loser Damian.’ You tell him as you laid a hand atop of Titus’ head and rubbed behind his ear just the way he liked. ‘I won the bet fair and square. Titus likes me and there’s nothing wrong with loosing once in a while.’ You concluded and Damian grits his teeth.
‘Tt. Whatever, I’ll prove that you cheated one way or another and until then you can keep parading this so called victory because I can assure you it won’t happen again.’ He threatens as you and Titus visibly perk up at this. ‘So you’re saying there’s a next time?’ You asked and Damian throws his head back a groans before walking deeper into the Manor and away from you and Titus, murmuring under his breath as he goes. ‘That’s all you took away from that? Unbelievable’
You nonchalantly shrug your shoulders and dig into your jean pocket to pull out a dog treat for Titus, who engulfed it with one quick bite of his powerful jaw. ‘There was no rules against bribing your best friend’s dog with dog treats.’ You justified to yourself as you fed Titus another treat, ‘after all what Damian doesn’t know won’t hurt him, isn’t that right Titus?’ You then asked the Great Dane who only sneezed as he looked at you expectantly for more dog treats for his participation in your schemes against his owner.
‘Good boy.’ You praised as you continued to feed him treats to his hearts content.

I like cor and nyx as a couple because they are both equally likely to do something INCREDIBLY RECKLESS and then get offended and worried when their lover does something similar.
cor: *literally rams himself into an iron giant to take out one of its legs*
*later*
nyx: *lets an iron giant almost squish him to take out one of its legs*
cor: thats not allowed!
nyx: pot. kettle.
titus in the background to luche: this is why we dont go on joint operations with the crownsguard as often as regis would like
luche: i thought it was because whenever cor is around you look three seconds away from committing treason
titus: that too

Fast for the Right Reasons
1 Cry out with a full-throated shout. Do not hold back. Shout like the blast of a ram’s horn. Declare to my people their rebellious deeds. Declare to the house of Jacob their sins. 2 They seek me day by day, and they are delighted to know my ways, as if they were a nation that does what is right, as if they had not forsaken the just ways of their God. They ask me for just verdicts. They are delighted to approach God: 3 “Why do we fast, but you do not see? Why do we afflict ourselves, but you are not aware?” This is what you do! On the same day when you fast, you do whatever you please, and you oppress all your workers. 4 You fast so you can fight and quarrel, so you can strike with a wicked fist. You should not fast the way you are doing it today if you expect God on high to hear your voice. 5 Is this the kind of fast that I would choose: a day when a person afflicts himself and bows his head like a reed and makes his bed on sackcloth and ashes? Do you call this a fast, a day to gain the Lord’s favor?
6 On the contrary, isn’t this the kind of fast that I would choose: to loosen the chains of wickedness, to tear apart the ropes of a yoke, to release the oppressed so they go free, and to tear every yoke to pieces? 7 Isn’t a true fast that you share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless and afflicted into a house? Yes, when you see a naked person, you are to cover him, and do not hide yourself from your own flesh and blood.
8 Then your light will break forth like dawn, and your healing will spring up quickly. Your righteousness will go out ahead of you, and the Glory of the Lord will follow you. 9 Then you will call, and the Lord will answer. You will cry out, and he will say, “Here I am!” If you remove the bar of the yoke from among you, and if you stop finger-pointing and speaking wickedly, 10 if you offer your life for the hungry, and if you satisfy the desires of the afflicted, then your light will shine in the darkness, and your darkest gloom will shine like the noonday sun. 11 Then the Lord will lead you continually. He will satisfy your desire in arid places, and he will strengthen your bones. Then you will be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters will not fail. 12 Then your ancient ruins will be rebuilt, and you will restore the foundations from past generations. Then you will be called the repairer of broken walls, the restorer of streets to live on.
13 If you do not trample the Sabbath by doing whatever you please on my holy day, if you call the Sabbath a delight, if you treat the holy day of the Lord as something to be honored, if you honor it by not going your own way, by not pursuing pleasure or negotiating a deal, 14 then you will delight in the Lord. I will cause you to ride over the heights of the land. I will provide food for you from the land inherited from your father Jacob. Yes, the mouth of the Lord has spoken. — Isaiah 58 | Evangelical Heritage Version (EHV) The Holy Bible, Evangelical Heritage Version®, EHV®, © 2019 Wartburg Project, Inc. All rights reserved. (( Titus was taught affection through physical touch, the one that stuck the most being when his father would press his forehead against his own. It always made Titus feel known, like someone was with him and would be there always. ))
(( If he ever wants to show support to someone else, he will press their forehead to his own. If he ever feels like he wants someone to know he cares about them, he’ll just plant his head on their shoulder ))
(( sometimes he overdoes it a bit and just full on rams his head into someone like a goat. He also does it when he’s excited. ))

Hey folks!
It's Peter here!
I'm back for VMflame adventures and I want to push my computer knowledge boundaries even further!
So here's what I was up to today.
I tried making my own OS using ArchLinux.
But the main trouble is - I don't have any non-Apple hardware to do that. That's why I needed to emulate the entire ArchLinux environment using VMware Fusion software on my Mac Pro.
I downloaded the ArchLinux distro from their official website.
On a first attempt, I configured the VM as a Linux 3.x x64 kernel operating system with a BIOS boot system.
Just for the record, today I used the guide by Chris Titus - he did a great job explaining the entire process, so if you want, you can check out his video.
It all started with a good old command line and some massive package installation and configuration. Well then I made it through the entire configuration process, and right on the step when I should have booted into the newly made OS, it rebooted to the command line - the place where I started the entire process. That's when I remembered that I configured the eintore thing with BIOS.
I then retried doing all the same stuff but at the VM configuration step, I tried it with UEFI boot system instead.
It all seemed to be a success, but then I got a kernel error
chmod cannot access mnt/root/archfi
I also retried for a third time giving the the VM more RAM (12GB contrary to previous 8GB) but I still failed.
So now am waiting for a Linux ISO to be downloaded to try an alternative route for my goal destination.
Wel it's it for today! See y'all tomorrow!

PSA for IT Deployment Goons
Got a bulk license for Windows 10 or 11 Pro? Odds are you can't really apply it to Tiny10 or Tiny11 installs legally, but that you're in the same boat I used to be - with obsolete material you couldn't really afford to chuck out.
If that's the case, consider AtlasOS. This is a utility that's a bit more professional than similar debloating tools for Windows installs and that seemingly doesn't raise any red flags during later audits. If you're looking to run Windows on 2 GBs of RAM or less - especially in Legacy clerical environments or on support hardware - this seems to work quite well.
Sketchier alternatives include Chris Titus' Debloater tool. If you've got time to spare, you can also use Windows 10's Server Edition to sign custom deployments, too.

The Thief King of the Boiling Isles
- Titus Ram’s TOH Verse -
Tumblr media
- Titus is a young adult witch who grew up with nothing, living in the slums of Latissa with no family or home to call his own
- A close friend of his during his childhood died because of the issue of homelessness never being addressed, and because she tried to stand up and speak out for their rights
- Vowing never to let anyone else die like she did, Titus became a street thief, and he worked his way up and gained a bigger and bigger reputation, until he became the Thief King of the Boiling Isles
- He has been caught three times during his escapades, by a well-known official in the Emperor’s Coven by the name of Messiah Reed, though he has always consistently broken out of his imprisonment much to Messiah’s frustration
- Almost all of Titus’s exploits aren’t just for the treasures, he’s also making a statement and acting as a vigilante to expose the horrors of the slums no one talks about
- He has a little golden dragon palisman named Gadget, who often helps him in his thievery and his escapes, as well as assisting in rather showy and dramatic entrances as a vigilante and when he decides to do some public speaking and incite riots
- His name is known all across the Isles, and Belos wants him dead, while some of the other downtrodden and neglected people revere him as a hero
- He has also been through a nightmare of a situation, along with Messiah, when they were trapped with several others in a labyrinth where every wrong move could be the death of them
- He comes across as somewhat stupid and reckless, or lacking common sense, and while it is true that Titus can be a little stubborn and bullheaded, and perhaps even pretty impulsive in his actions, he is actually an incredibly intelligent thief, and what he lacks in civility and common sense, he makes up for in his willingness to protect and his brilliant street smarts

I know we usually have Nyx as a Lucis Caelum, but what if we switch it up a bit?
TITUS as the LC bastard (Mors'?), with nobody knowing. His magic assimilated the Glauca suit but got rid of the brainwashing/deamon parasite/whatever turned him traitor.
So technically, Titus is a triple agent (working for Lucis, by pretending to work for Niflheim, by pretending to work for Lucis), but nobody in Lucia knows that because he doesn't want (anymore) tests done on him and be found out as a LC bastard. (He was so lucky Besithia didn't find out)
Anyway, background got away from me. Titus and Nyx have been dancing around each other for a while and ended up alone on a mission together. Nyx gets on a spot of trouble and Titus uses a/the Royal arms to protect him. Nyx swears to keep his secret.
Nyx has been told many times that he needs to prioritize better - a point that Nyx argues against each time it’s brought up. Nyx knows what his priorities are it’s not his fault that his friends disagree with where he places himself on that list.
At this point in time with his leg out of commission from a bullet that most definitely broken something and a large daemon about to each him the only thing Nyx can say is that at least he’s going out with minimal regrets.
(A lie. A man like Nyx has too many regrets to count, but he likes to think he’s kept the number on the lower end.)
Nyx does regret not being able to kiss Titus though. The man is very kissable.
It’s a shame that Titus doesn’t get kissed more often. By Nyx.
Nyx would really like to kiss him. Shame he won’t be able to.
But his Captain seems to have a sixth sense for when Nyx is in trouble because the next thing Nyx knows a glowing axe rams itself into the Iron Giant that was about to turn Nyx into a pancake and then Titus is in front of Nyx and looking entirely too pissed off at the world.
Titus doesn’t spare him a glance.
“I’ll deal with you later,” he says and Nyx’s mouth goes dry at the growl in Titus’ voice. It might be the blood loss talking but Nyx would like it very much if Titus would bend him over the nearest flat surface.
“Yes, Sir.” Nyx is very proud of how his voice does not betray how appreciative Nyx is of how pretty his Captain looks. Titus has always been pretty in a rugged way but it’s when Titus swings an axe bigger than he is with ease and dispatches the remaining daemons that Nyx truly appreciates how pretty and deadly his Captain is.
It takes Nyx a moment to realize that Titus is glowing blue and that the axe he’s wielding is not his normal sword. Several things click into place as Nyx remembers how Titus seems to be always prepared with anything anyone needs and how he seems to avoid mention of the former King when he can.
Ah, Nyx thinks, Shit.
Titus is looking at him now, and Nyx feels lightheaded and dumb.
It is not a surprise to anyone that just as Titus breaks a potion over Nyx’s head that Nyx says something stupid.
“You are pretty,” Nyx says as if it’s the most important thing in the world, “I would like to kiss you.”
Titus looks at him like he’s drunk.
Nyx isn’t drunk, but he is most certainly not in his right mind.
“I want to kiss you lots,” Nyx adds as if it needs clarification and gets the small joy of seeing Titus’ cheeks flush a light red.
“Khara,” Titus says as Pelna appears out of a warp, “Take care of Ulric.”
“Of course.”
Titus leaves.
The last words that leave Nyx’s mouth before he falls asleep are.
“Pel, I want Titus to fuck me raw-“

Check out Prabhas's birthday wishes for his 'Adupurush' co-star Sunny Singh
Tumblr media
Oct 07, 2022 10:04 IST New Delhi , October 7 (Always First): On the occasion of Sunny Singh's birthday, actor Prabhas, extended warm birthday wishes to his 'Adupurush' co-star on social media. Taking to his Instagram stories, the 'Bahubali: The Beginning' actor dropped a picture featuring Sunny in ethnic attire. Sharing the picture, he wrote, "Wishing you a very happy birthday @mesunnysingh ! Been great fun working with you brother. See you soon! #Adipurush."
Tumblr media
The film 'Adipurush' is based on the epic Ramayana, showcasing the triumph of good over evil. Prabhas as Raghava in the movie will be portraying the role of Lord Ram and Sunny will be seen as Lakshman. Kriti is set to essay the role of Sita in the forthcoming film and Saif will portray the role of Raavan. The birthday boy Sunny Singh made his debut in acting with a short role 'Toh Baccha Hai Ji' in 2011. He also did 'Akaash Vani', 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2', also romantic comedy 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety' and many more. On Wednesday, Prabhas attended Delhi's largest Ramlila, organised annually at the historic Red Fort grounds for its iconic celebrations where he was given the honour to perform the Raavan Dahan. For the festivities, which the Luv Kush Ramlila Committee arranged, Prabhas was present along with his 'Adipurush' director Om Raut and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. Meanwhile, ever since the teaser of Prabhas starrer 'Adupurush' has been unveiled, the film and its depiction of Ramayan has been a hot topic of discussion. The mythological movie has been slammed widely for its poor VFX and the "misrepresentation" of characters. Earlier, while speaking to ANI about Ramayana, BJP spokesperson Malavika Avinash had said, "It represents this nation, its civilisation and its people. So no one can take it for granted, let alone a film director. I am angry and this misrepresentation saddens me". 'Adipurush' has been produced by T Series and Retrophiles. It is slated to hit the theatres on January 12, 2023, in IMAX and 3D. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Om, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair, the film will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. (Always First) Read the full article

“He brought us out of our old ways of living to a new beginning through the washing of regeneration; and He made us completely new through the Holy Spirit”
Today’s reading of the Scriptures from the New Testament is the 3rd and closing chapter of the book of Titus:
And remind them of this: respect the rulers and the courts. Obey them. Be ready to do what is good and honorable. Don’t tear down another person with your words. Instead, keep the peace, and be considerate. Be truly humble toward everyone because there was a time when we, too, were foolish, rebellious, and deceived—we were slaves to sensual cravings and pleasures; and we spent our lives being spiteful, envious, hated by many, and hating one another. But then something happened: God our Savior and His overpowering love and kindness for humankind entered our world; He came to save us. It’s not that we earned it by doing good works or righteous deeds; He came because He is merciful. He brought us out of our old ways of living to a new beginning through the washing of regeneration; and He made us completely new through the Holy Spirit, who was poured out in abundance through Jesus the Anointed, our Savior. All of this happened so that through His grace we would be accepted into God’s covenant family and appointed to be His heirs, full of the hope that comes from knowing you have eternal life. This is a faithful statement of what we believe.
Concerning this, I want you to put it out there boldly so that those who believe in God will be constant in doing the right things, which will benefit all of us. Listen, don’t get trapped in brainless debates; avoid competition over family trees or pedigrees; stay away from fights and disagreements over the law. They are a waste of your time. If a person is causing divisions in the community, warn him once; and if necessary, warn him twice. After that, avoid him completely because by then you are sure that you are dealing with a corrupt, sinful person. He is determined to condemn himself.
I am sending either Artemas or Tychicus to you. When one of them arrives, try your best to make your way to me at Nicopolis (I plan to spend the winter there). Do what you can to get Zenas (the lawyer) and Apollos on their way; make sure they have everything they need. Our people must learn to get involved when a need arises, particularly when the need is urgent. Teach them to do what is good so they won’t become unproductive members of the community.
Everyone with me sends his greetings. Greet all our friends in the faith. May grace be with all of you. [Amen.]
The Letter of Titus, Chapter 3 (The Voice)
Today’s paired chapter of the Testaments is the 25th chapter of the book of Leviticus that describes Sabbath rest for the land and the year of Jubilee:
The Eternal One addressed Moses on Mount Sinai.
Eternal One: Go, talk with the Israelites and tell them that when you arrive in the land I have promised to give to you, you are to make sure the land observes a Sabbath rest before Me. Plant your fields, take care of your vineyards, and harvest your crops for six years; but when the seventh year arrives, I want the entire land to have a Sabbath rest to Me. Do not plant your fields or prune your vineyards during this seventh year. Do not harvest whatever grows on its own from earlier plantings, and do not pick grapes from the unpruned vines. The entire year is to be a year of Sabbath rest for the land. You, your slaves, your hired workers, the outsiders living among you, your domesticated and the wild animals may eat whatever the land produces naturally during the Sabbath year.
You are to count off seven Sabbath years (that’s seven times seven years), which gives you 49 years. After the 49th year is over, sound a ram’s horn across the land in the 50th year on the tenth day of the seventh month. Sound the ram’s horn throughout the land on the Day of Atonement. When the 50th year arrives, sanctify it and declare liberty throughout the land for all who live there—dramatic, radical liberty for all. It is to be your jubilee year. Each of you is allowed to go back to the land that belonged to your ancestors; and each of you may return to your own family. The 50th year is to be your jubilee year. Do not plant. Do not harvest anything that grows on its own or pick grapes from the unpruned vines. You may eat what the land produces naturally. For it is a jubilee, a special, sacred time for you.
Eternal One: Everyone will return to his ancestral property during the year of jubilee. If you sell something to a friend or buy something from your neighbor, do it honestly. When you lease property from a friend, you should pay only for the time you get to use it. He will base the price on the number of harvest years remaining until the jubilee returns. You will raise the price if the jubilee year is far away. You will lower the price if the year is near, for what you are really buying is the number of harvests you can get in before the next jubilee. Do not cheat each other. Instead, fear the God who has power over you; for I am the Eternal One, your God.
So follow My directives and live by My rules; as you do, you and your people will most certainly be secure in the land I will give you. The land will produce an abundance of food, and you will have all you need to eat and live safely in the land. You might ask, “What will we eat in the seventh year if we don’t plant and harvest crops?” Don’t worry. I will direct My blessing to come to you during the sixth year so that the land will produce three years’ worth of crops in that one year: Even while you are planting during the eighth year, you will eat your fill of the previous crops harvested in the sixth year. You will eat those crops right up until the time when you harvest the new crops in the ninth year.
You are not allowed to sell the land in perpetuity because it isn’t actually yours. The land belongs to Me. You will always be strangers and outsiders living in My land. So every plot of ground you possess carries a “right of redemption.”
If your fellow citizen becomes so impoverished that he has no choice but to sell off a portion of his land, then his nearest family relation is to buy back the portion sold for him. If a man doesn’t have any relatives but finds a way to earn the money to redeem his land himself, then he will buy it back from the man who bought the land from him, less the profit the buyer would have made in the years since he leased it; then the original owner can go back to live on his land. But if a man does not earn or find the money he needs to buy back his land, then the man who leased the land will keep it until the year of jubilee. When the year of jubilee arrives, the land will return to the possession of its original owner.
By the same token, anyone who sells a house that is located within the city walls has one year to buy the house back after it is sold. The right of redemption lasts only one year. If the seller does not buy back his house within a year of the date it was sold, then the house located within the city walls belongs to the new owner for all his generations. It will not go back to the original owner in the year of jubilee.
The houses in towns that have no walls are classified as fields. They are subject to the rights of redemption and return to their original owner in the year of jubilee, just like any other field. In the Levites’ cities, the houses permanently carry the right of redemption: The Levites are able to redeem any and all property, and any house that is sold goes back to its original owner when the year of jubilee arrives because all the houses are the Levites’ inheritance from the other tribes of Israel. The open country around the cities and villages is not allowed to be sold because this land belongs to them for all time.
If your fellow citizen becomes poor and cannot take care of his needs, then you must support him with what you have. Look after him, as you would a stranger or outsider, so he may keep living in your community. Let him borrow, but charge no interest and do not look for ways to profit from his need. Instead, fear God, and allow your fellow citizen to live alongside you. Do not ask for interest when you lend him money. Do not try to profit by selling him your food. I am the Eternal One, your God, the One who led you out of Egypt so that I could give you the land of Canaan and be your God.
If your fellow citizen becomes so poor that he must sell himself to you as a slave, do not treat him as a slave. Have him work for you as a hired hand, as an outsider might, until the year of jubilee. Then he and his children will be released from your service, and he will return to his family and to the property that belonged to his ancestors. After all, they are My servants; I led them out of Egypt so they must never be sold as slaves. You are not allowed to treat them badly. Instead fear your God. On the other hand, you may acquire slaves, both men and women, from the nations surrounding you and from the outsiders who live among you. You can acquire their family members who have been born in the land. You can keep them as property and pass them down to your children as part of their inheritance for all time. You may continue to own them, even after jubilee. Remember if your slave is a fellow Israelite, then you must not deal with him harshly.
If a foreigner or outsider living among you becomes rich enough to buy a slave, and one of your fellow citizens has become poor enough he has to sell himself as a slave to him or to his extended family, then your fellow citizen has the right to be redeemed. One of his brothers, his uncle, his cousin, or any more distant relative may buy him back. If he makes enough money, he can purchase his own freedom. As for the man who bought him, he and the buyer will determine the price based on how many years are between the year he sold himself and the year of jubilee. The time with his owner must be valued as if he were a hired hand. Whether there are many years left before the jubilee or just a few, the cost of his redemption is determined by those remaining years. He must be treated as a laborer hired year to year, and you need to make sure the owner does not treat him harshly. If he is not able to gain his freedom this way, he and his children will be freed in the year of jubilee. For the Israelites are truly My servants; I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am the Eternal One, your God.

A post by John Parsons about the significance of God’s law:
The importance of the Torah, or "law" of God, cannot be overstated, friends, and the holiday of Shavuot recalls and celebrates its importance in our lives. Yeshua plainly said to his followers: "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth pass away not the smallest letter or even a stroke of a letter (קוצו שׁל יוד) will pass from the law until everything comes to pass. So anyone who breaks one of the least of these commands and teaches others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever obeys them and teaches others to do so will be called great in the kingdom of heaven" (Matt. 5:17-19). He further solemnly warned: "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the kingdom of heaven– only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. On that day, many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out demons and do many powerful deeds?' Then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you. Go away from me, you workers of lawlessness' (Matt. 7:21-23).
To the ungodly, "freedom" means being lawless, that is, acting under their own authority apart from the will of God. This of course was the original temptation in Eden, when the nachash (serpent) told Eve that if she acted under her own authority, her eyes would be "opened" and she would be "like God," knowing both good and evil (Gen. 3:5). That is always the creed of the wicked: "Do as thou wilt..." True freedom, however, is not the supposed right to do whatever you want, but instead is the power to do what is right, living in harmony with moral reality, and being liberated from the slavery of impulses to do evil. The law of God, then, is the blessing of having boundaries, order, and moral sanity within our lives, and that is why the Holy Spirit inscribes the law “within” us - to help guide our steps, protect our way, and to empower us to live in obedience to the truth of God (Jer. 31:33). If you are led by the Spirit, you are no longer enslaved to the law of sin and death -- that is, the lower nature and its idolatrous impulses -- but you will bear the fruit of righteousness, goodness and truth (Gal. 5:18; Eph. 5:9). Let no one deceive you with vain words. You cannot serve two masters... If you know that the Messiah is righteous, you know that every one that does righteousness is born of God (1 John 2:29).
God did not send the Savior to suffer and die on the cross so that people would disregard his moral will and go right on sinning. No, by his sacrifice Yeshua delivers us from the power of sin and death and thereby empowers us to do his will: "For we are his workmanship, created in Messiah for good works that God prepared beforehand" (Eph. 2:10). Followers of Messiah are to be "filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to live our lives in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God" (1 Cor. 1:9-10). Therefore the message of Shavuot is that we should walk worthy of God, who has called us unto his kingdom and glory (1 Thess. 2:2). Chag Shavuot Sameach. [Hebrew for Christians]

The Days of Youth
“Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.” (Ecclesiastes 11:9)
When one reaches maturity and, finally, old age, he will almost inevitably find himself recalling wistfully the days of his youth. Often there will be feelings of regret for wasted opportunities and sinful living, and he would urge young people not to make the same mistakes that he did.
Unfortunately, most young people tend to listen more to their peers than to their seniors. As the old cliché has it—“too soon old, and too late smart.” So the cycle continues, generation after generation.
There have been godly exceptions, of course, such as Mary and Daniel and Timothy, and some today as well, who have maintained a strong stand and witness for God and His Word all their lives. As our text (written by King Solomon in his old age) indicates, youth can and should be a time of real joy, but the best joy is “the joy of the LORD” (Nehemiah 8:10). Such joy is true pleasure and happiness, and is much better than mere “fun.”
Our text also confirms that a judgment day is coming, and the misdeeds of youth will be judged along with all the rest. Especially good advice was given by Solomon in his next two verses. “Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity. Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh” (Ecclesiastes 11:10–12:1). Paul advised young Timothy, “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12). HMM
