Ask Etiquette
HELLO sorry for the intimidating post lmao, I just need something to toss up on the masterpost because I feel bad deleting asks and then people will never really have an idea of why I never answered them
I get a ton of asks (usually anywhere from 10 - 20 a day!) and I'm not able to get to them all! I try to answer as many as possible but I'm still just one guy. So with that in mind, there are some sorts of asks I will simply not answer, and some 'requests' I have for people who send them in;
Please keep your asks short PLEASE try not to send me essays if you want a response; I still love reading them! But if you send me walls of text/analysis you are asking me to write a lot in response, which I'd rather spend on actually writing or designing cats. (On that note if you send a bunch of questions at once, the likelihood I respond goes down.)
Do not send me personal questions Listen... I'm a stranger on the internet. I'm overjoyed to see when my art connects with people and helps you realize things! But don't ask me sensitive questions like how to move out of your abusive parents' house!! PLEASE learn internet safety and get less comfortable with volunteering that kind of information to people you don't know!
Do not ask me personal questions you do not need to know what i study or where i work. get less comfortable asking these sorts of questions to queer people on the internet, especially when they talk openly about having previously been abused or stalked. (not that a person should even need to be as open about that as i am)
If I don't have a good response I won't answer Especially for suggestions I don't vibe with. I try to only say "No" if I have a particularly interesting "No" to talk about, if that makes sense! If I had to write a full explanation for every veto or idea I don't vibe with, this blog would be 90% what isn't in BB.
No AUs within the AU. "What if Hawkfrost survived his impalement? What if Firestar never joined? What if Tigerstar was never born?" Listen, buddy, you're creating an exponential distraction for possible ways the story could have gone and I'm not looking to write several essays for the literal hundreds of alternative ways Clan history could have been written. It takes you 5 words to ask "What if X never died" but it takes me paragraphs to answer. (This isn't about suggestions btw, I very specifically mean ppl asking hypotheticals for fun.)
Don't be rude. I feel like this should go without saying but please mind the parasocial gap. Especially if you're on anon, I don't know you, your backstory, or your cadence.
And, lastly, CLANMEW ASKS!!
I make a hard effort to get to everyone!! Those are published on Clanmew Day (WHICH IS NOW JUST GOING TO BE THE 30TH OF EVERY MONTH SO THAT IT'S LESS CONFUSING) but PLEASE understand I get a ton of them.
As I write this I have more than 26 tabs open of unanswered Clanmew asks, a lot more in my inbox, and 9 already in the queue. So that you understand the sheer volume of asks I have there.
If I didn't get to you that month, chances are that I'll get to you on the next, but please understand why I ask for folks to not re-send asks
So here's Clanmew-specific requests;
PLEASE just try a translation on your own first! Don't just send me raw lists of OCs to translate, give it a go first using the Lexicon, just so I can see you tried. I will happily and gladly make more specific words for you when I see you try!
When you send OCs you've translated, ask me for a new word at the end if you didn't already in your list. Just in case I can't think of a witty comment or a word suggestion, you will help me a lot
Please try to format with lists like this one Folks will send me double or triple-indented lists and it will take up my entire screen when they've only sent like, 5 names. Remember that posts you send to me go on people's dashes, be considerate please You can open a list like this by starting a new paragraph, typing -, and then an immediate space. Hold Shift + Enter to indent without adding another bullet.
If you could put "Clanmew" somewhere in your ask, like even if you open up with "Clanmew: Here is my question blah blah," it would help immensely I physically can't get to every ask I receive on Clanmew Day, so if you have "Clanmew" in your ask somewhere, it makes it a lot easier for me to find it when I can finally answer! I really wish Tumblr had ways to sort asks, but currently, I've just gotta make due with Cntrl + F.

sup. i am looking for an iwaizumi x oikawa roleplay and i will be as specific and detailed as possible about my wishes and what i can offer you, so you will exactly know what to expect. i’m not sure if i’m screaming into a void here since it has been a while when i last dipped my toes into the haikyuu fandom, but i will still give it a shot. just putting my bait blindly into the water now.
< age > i am 25+. be at least 20+ and mature enough to write about certain topics and nsfw content. we can, of course, discuss anything that might be triggering for the both of us in advance. the character should also be aged up to at least college (graduates) age.
< universe > i will only play in a modern era au. as much as i love the haikyuu verse, a long distance relationship sounds exhausting to me, even in rp. likewise, i also have no interest in adding fantasy elements into the mixture. here are some tropes that i very much enjoy and that could serve as a foundation for an idea: ceo/bodyguard, idol/bodyguard, boss/employee, and they were roommates/neighbors, friends/rivals to lovers, seasoned film producer/newbie assistant, and so on. i do not mind if they keep volleyball as a hobby or if it was an integral part of their past.
< characters > i am down for playing either, might lean towards iwaizumi more. i have exeperience in writing iwaizumi, could need some time to adjust to oikawa’s madness. you should be fine with insults, banter and light violence (nothing too brutal; similar what was also displayed in the original). i would love if my rp partner took some time to think about the character’s past, fears, ambitions... in the end, we only write out our head canons about fictional characters, interpreting them in an alternative universe that is not even their “natural” environment. this is why i consider it of utmost importance that we add flavour and depth to the characters.
< genre > i am a sucker for romcoms. and you will probably and hopefully quickly notice that i will sprinkle humor into my texts, to either ridicule the situation or the characters. i am fine with dramatic or serious plots, but i value (meme) humor a lot. it is okay if you want to stick to another formula that works better for you.
< length > i am a literate to novella writer. and i really tried to keep my replies short in the past but i ended up writing multiple or longer paragraphs, just to delete passages or shorten them to an appropriate length. shorter replies are thus ironically more time-consuming for me. (does not apply universally to all scenes). it would be ideal if you have similar preferences regarding the length of a reply.
< frequency > i am not a native english speaker. i will put this information here since i do have days where it is difficult for me to tap into the english language. i will be able to write decent sentences but nothing that i will be very content with. sometimes i push through those moments, sometimes i do not. i also do have very busy work days and have no energy to reply. i would be very thankful to have a chill rp partner who does not check up on me on a daily basis. i will pop up once i will be able to. the same respect will be returned.
< nsfw content > i am very open and up for it. however, i do enjoy the occasional (mutual) pining and slow burn. i will be honest here: i prefer iwaizumi as a top, which does not mean that oikawa has to be entirely submissive. on the contrary, switching it up on the dominant-submissive-axis sounds appealing to me. hopefully, this was understandable. we will discuss what we are comfortable writing beforehand. (be as open as possible, so neither of us ends up disappointed or scarred).
< platform > discord. servers make so much sense.man, that was a lot. at least i left some kind of an impression, lmao. if you’re interested in setting up an iwaoi 1x1 with me, interact with this long ass post or just slide right into my dms.

40 Fanfic Q’s Answered
the server wants answers, and they want them now!!! from this post
1. Describe your comfort zone—a typical you-fic.
Smut and pining all the way. Also, falling in love via laughing
2. Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?
Eh...I don’t think so, I’m always 100% self-indulgent, so what u see is what I want
3. Is there a trope you wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole?
Anything that has to do w mega sadness, I just Don’t. I can’t write anything sad, and if I do, there’s certainly gonna be A Lot of comfort afterwards
4. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Care to share one of them?
Tumblr media
I have 91 wips, motherfuckers!!! My latest wip is a daddy month fic!
5. Share one of your strengths.
I think, since I’ve been trying to be sparser in my words, I’ve been able to better emphasize what isn’t being said
6. Share one of your weaknesses.
No action scenes from me are ever good, lmao
7. Share a snippet from one of your favorite pieces of prose you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.
It was late at night, when he started to cry.
He didn't want to cry, but he did.
It's been years since he's last let himself feel, or was it since he was last allowed to feel?
He choked on his sobs, uncomfortable with his tears. He's forgotten how to properly cry. His entire body is shaking, and the connections between flesh and wire hurts.
He stops crying. He starts crying again.
This continues for another few minutes, until he feels as if he can't possibly have any more tears.
He wipes his face, pulls the covers up to his chin, and falls asleep.
(from Twilight on the Sea) I really like this bcus I don’t think I’ve ever really typed out crying in this way, n I tried to make it feel like it was a lot
8. Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.
Cass was quiet for a moment. “... you know what? Maybe I’ll just go up there and surprise you.”
“If you do, then you already ruined the surprise, haven’t you?”
“Eh, I dunno about that. Seeing my beautiful face is a shock for many people.”
“Oh, I’m sure of it.”
“Hey, Koda? I don’t know about you, but it’s really late here.”
“Really?” Koda asks, then remembers that time zones exist. “Oh crap, what time is it over there?”
“It’s midnight. What about you?”
“It’s eight o’clock. Only four hours difference?”
“Oh hey, that’s not so bad.”
“It reduces our time,” Koda said, a bit whining.
“Not if I have anything to say about it.”
“What are you going to do? Move here? Send for me?”
“You’ll see.”
(from Together) This was a gift for one my best friends on here, @suncatchr , and it’s about his ocs!!! I love this a lot bcus while it’s a soulmate au, it’s not ur average soulmate au, and I tried making it as original as possible! And this blurb, I just wanted them to effuse so much love w/o having to say love...cries
9. Which fic has been the hardest to write?
If this is by posted fics, then I remember writing Look What You’ve Done to Me was very very difficult, bcus, since it’s also a gift, for @daniel-bryan , I wanted to write it Good, n since my buddy usually wrote from the love interest’s pov, I felt a weird pressure to write Daniel Bryan’s pov as good as I could
10. Which fic has been the easiest to write?
2 of my fics in Spanish!!! My oc centric one, Rayos y Centellas, and my shyan one, oye cariño, solo pienso en ti ! Turns out writing in ur native tongue makes everything easier
11. Is writing your passion or just a fun hobby?
It’s a very passionate hobby!!! I just!!! try to pour all of my love into everything I write!!!
12. Is there an episode above all others that inspires you just a little bit more?
I’m not sure!!! I just watch movies n quietly scream to my gay lonesome bcus No One Ever Watches Movies ;-;
13. What’s the best writing advice you’ve ever come across?
To just keep writing n not stop for details or forgotten lore, bcus it’s important to write down what’s firing u up Right Now. Of course, it’s very difficult following that ;;-;;
14. What’s the worst writing advice you’ve ever come across?
“No adverbs!” “No ‘said’!” “It has to make grammatical sense!” sometimes things Need those
15. If you could choose one of your fics to be filmed, which would you choose?
Was gonna say my rewrite of the end of The Rover, but actually, my SPN fic Ube . Shit was peak inspired
16. If you only could write one pairing for the rest of your life, which pairing would it be?
Eridirk (Eridan Ampora/Dirk Strider from Homestuck) all the way. The one otp that’s stayed thru thick n thin <3
17. Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order?
A little mix of both, and tbh it depends on the fic, but I tend to write chronologically
18. Do you use any tools, like worksheets or outlines?
I’ve started bullet pointing my ideas out before writing my fics, and so far, it’s been helping me be more streamlined n get my things written out faster n clearer!
19. Stephen King once said that his muse is a man who lives in the basement. Do you have a muse?
Is the need for representation in all the niche movies I keep watching a muse?
20. Describe your perfect writing conditions.
In my dark room, w music blasting from my laptop, the TV w a soft hum, I have the perfect playlist to get the mood right, curled up in my blankies, n my plushie Sweet Pea by my side
21. How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?
Zero, we rely on autocorrect & editing while typing and die like men
22. Choose a passage from one of your earlier fics and edit it into your current writing style. (Person sending the ask is free to make suggestions).
YOU DON’T SEEM SCARED.
Del Rio shrugs. “Working as a cop, it makes you numb to some things. It’s good, it lets you react to things as you should, and not how you’d want to.”
YOU SOUND SAD ABOUT THAT.
He makes a noncommittal noise. “It is what it is.” He eats another spoonful of his ice cream, then gets a thought.
“Can you show up?”
HOW SO?
“Can you,” he tries, waving his spoon around, “Manifest?”
I DON’T KNOW. I’LL TRY.
“I’m sure you’ll do just fine,” Del Rio assures, and he can feel the air around him smile. The...world, he thinks, around him shifts just slightly, and there seems to be a chink in the armor for a moment before it goes away, as if someone had wiped the glass clear. He realizes that this is her, trying to show up in a physical form, step out of the phone.
He doesn’t know where to look, but then his confusion wanes when a butterfly shows up, fluttering towards him. It lands near his phone, skitters a bit, flaps its wings.
“Lucy?” he asks, transfixed on the butterfly. Its orange wings are bright under the sunlight.
I THOUGHT I’D TRY SMALL, FOR MY FIRST TRIAL.
“Well, you certainly nailed it.” He smiled warmly at the butterfly, and he had the crazy notion that it smiled back at him.
(adapted from The Policeman , the first fic I posted!)
23. If you were to revise one of your older fics from start to finish, which would it be and why?
Yeah, probably The Policeman lmao, I remember it today n I cringe a little at the very obvious refs to other fandoms I made. Despite that, it continues being one of my best hits!
24. Have you ever deleted one of your published fics?
Never
25. What do you look for in a beta?
I’m just thankful to have gotten a beta in general in life at all
26. Do you beta yourself? If so, what kind of beta are you?
I beta’ed once, and since English is my 2nd language, I pointed out syntax confusion, typos, n continuity errors
27. How do you feel about collaborations?
Can be done, it’s just that I am frightened. Tried doing that, it fell thru, n the new thing that came up, I still have to hold up my end of the bargain ;;-;;
28. Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much.
cries omg ok so!!! Chancy_Lurking ( @lurkerviolin ) is one of my faves, n we’ve become friends, n their Felix+ Sense8 series is the reason for it all, and u know it’s good if it managed to make a friendship that’s last its good while, and also they’re so nice, and we vibe so well!!! thegoatz ( @daniel-bryan ) is also now one of my bestest friends ever, and I wuv him so much, he is such a good kid, n he’s so enthusiastic about writing, and I hope that spark never goes out!!! And adamwhatareyouevendoing ( @skatingthinandice ) bcus she’s doing a rewrite of The Last Kingdom where it’s all gay where it should be and vnjkdfsnvkd God, what a wonderful friend!!!
29. If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose?
I actually technically am working on a sequel to @rettaroo ‘s A New Kind of Touch ! Another promise I have to hold up eventually ;;;-;;;
30. Do you accept prompts?
Sure!
31. Do you take liberties with canon or are you very strict about your fic being canon compliant?
I try to follow canon as much as I possibly can!
32. How do you feel about smut?
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
33. How do you feel about crack?
Eh, it’s alright. I don’t normally look for it, so I don’t really have a solid opinion on it
34. What are your thoughts on non-con and dub-con?
I don’t want to read it, but I have so far encountered it twice very amicably: once here in a ficlet, and another in a longer fic on AO3, and they were both very good
35. Would you ever kill off a canon character?
Probably not, I don’t like sad things!
36. Which is your favorite site to post fic?
AO3! I’m RedLlamas on it!
37. Talk about your current wips.
Lmao which one. The one I’m currently working on is an impregnation kink turned “oh no I actually do wanna have a family” feelings fic!
38. Talk about a review that made your day.
Gonna be real w u, the best comments I’ve gotten have mainly been from my friends, who either write a paragraph or two going into detail of the fic, or just send a one sentence comment that’s just “screams!” I’ve gotten very few paragraphs from other people, n they’re always so!!!
Tumblr media
My friends are the realest :’)
39. Do you ever get rude reviews and how do you deal with them?
The perks of being a rarepair writer is that the only people who read my fics are the ones actively looking for content!!! And they can’t complain about my work because No One Else Is Writing For It!!!!!!
Tumblr media
40. Write an alternative ending to [insert fic title] (or just the summary of one).
All my fics are masterpieces, so I’ll do a summary change! For don’t you just know (exactly what they’re thinking?)
Dakota finds himself in unexpected heartbreak, and the universe decides to bring him in the direction of a night club with a dancer with stars on his skin.

i originally wrote this post to talk about the gathering on wednesday where a bunch of us met up for the first time since we flew out to the riviera for my birthday (except for our christmas party obviously), because i had to talk to my friends about the incident after the xmas party, and it was the first time i had to face it in front of a group. it was a big thing as it was my first speedbump since my ptsd breakthrough and the upwards trend of healthy growth and activity in my life - but tumblr’s new feature where it allows you to delete WHOLE paragraphs of text at once literally deleted the WHOLE of the beginning of the post, so my original process as it happened was lost and i was super gutted about it! but the gist is, we needed to discuss it so that that person wouldn’t accidentally be invited to our gatherings because the fact is, that person crossed a big line of trust, and displayed a complete disrespect for both me and my relationship and what i want, after i had constantly expressed not reciprocating their feelings, so to wait until i was black out drunk that december, ply me with alcohol and seize an opportunity to push for one moment, to force vulnerability the only way they seemed to know how instead of respecting me as a friend was completely unforgivable and it was a big signal that the person needed to be purged from my life, as they erased all the good things about our friendship for that one shitty, desperate moment to get at me and ignore what i wanted. so, i gave my friends the basics, but all the feelings of pain and betrayal actually affected me really negatively, and i had felt really shaky and awful when i got home afterwards, which surprised me because i realised that i hadn’t really processed it enough to sit in front of our friends and admit how naive i had been, as they had warned me of something like this happening because of that person’s vibe coupled with their feeling towards me, but it was difficult for me to swallow having had such a long term friendship with that person already. i had advocated hard for that person and gotten burned, and i hadn’t confronted the reality of what that meant until the moment i was sitting in front of them, and that’s not even to mention the dormant pain of the loss of nearly a decade of friendship and the pure betrayal and confusion about trust that were bubbling underneath the surface of the box i’d stored the incident away in. point is, it all came to a head, and i felt like it was a big crossroad, in terms of how i would decide to deal with this big injection of an unhealthy event and the feelings attached to it, as it was my first speedbump. would i retreat into unhealthy coping mechanisms? would it steamroll me and make me backslide? the time to find out was that night, the next day and whether or not it would paralyse me or push me to look inwards, and forge myself another path to be able to continue to grow. the rest of this post is from the morning after, where i talk about my process and where i went from there.
so anyhow i’m meant to be catching a movie with czes later on and my body and mind feel super lethargic and heavy, which is all the more reason to
- yank it the hell out of bed, and implement a schedule for eating today starting with breakfast, so as not to let mental lethargy give way to ptsd-brain meal skips, - exercise bike for 20 minutes (as it always makes me just feel really good and gets my blood pumping!),  - jump in the shower but change back into pyjamas for a while and just have a nice read of my new book from elizabeth on the sofa with some tea and incense, as that’s happy place + a spot of escapism + a gift from a dear friend, then just relax until it’s time to get ready to go - making sure to wear some flowy, comfortable clothes (likely a blouse) and minimal makeup (as fussing will stress me out a bit) - and then we can go and hit the swanky cinema! we’re going to one with sofas instead of seats and restaurant food instead of cinema bites so it should be really chill and is perfect for my headspace i think.
i genuinely find that when i start to feel really stressed or am overwhelmed by something, anxiety can make the mind race a mile a minute and it can turn my thoughts into a huge jumbled ball of noise and mess, all the letters from the sentences morphing and becoming tangled, and that can turn into full blown ptsd panic episodes if i give in to it, OR inversely my unhealthy protective instinct/coping mechanism is to shut down and it switches off the lights on the messy, tangled thoughts/emotions/feelings ball, but firstly, the ball just stays there and waits for me in the dark and secondly, it switches off the lights on everything nice going through my mind too, all my pleasant/happy feelings having to get through the ball to get to me and they arrive diluted, completely watered down! so i’ve found that making lists and schedules is actually a really effective way for me to avoid both of those routes. route 1 and route 2 are where my unhealthy brain goes, and route 3 is where i’m training my brain to go during a speedbump or crisis. making a list helps me to stop and examine the ball, untangle it one by one and organise/line out the most poignant or important thoughts and issues in straight, concise lines, so i can comprehensively map out what i’m going to actively do about each thing, and WHEN i’m going to do it, separating out which things i can change and which things i need to talk about or approach differently, which i can actively do once these things are ironed out clearly in front of me in plain text, without the panic and confusion or any pressure of anyone else’s involvement or expectations. the schedule is then written for each individual point/thing as it again makes things clear and precise as to the course of action, and i can actively tick them off and that’s how i work best, as well as it offering a huge amount of structure to what previously was an overwhelming mess of increasingly incoherent feelings and ideas tangled together, and i make them for things both large and small. so the structure for today is there to organise and relax me after yesterday, and even having a small schedule to relax (which i know sounds really odd but productivity is relaxing to me so it’s just really helpful) has made me feel tonnes better within myself already, and now i feel more confident about moving through this! it’s just a process of practising grounding techniques for the initial overwhelming feelings and the rising panic, and then a way for me to anchor myself and organise and structure myself in the best way that suits and relaxes me, lining it in tune with my affinity for productivity and small goal achievements leading to a bigger personal accomplishment. seems simple i guess, but i’ve found that thinking comprehensively is 100% the best way to nip the big things in the bud for me personally, and i’m genuinely thankful to have found a structured and personally tailored way out of being walled in and stuck, helpless to my disorder.
i wanted to make sure i documented how i felt about this whole thing, because i know that it really affected me and because it was the first bump since a fairly consistent upward period of building for me, which is always actually quite a make or break time, as well as a test of how much growing i’m really doing, and frankly whether or not i’m just being grandiose about having a few good weeks, only to backslide and fall back into unhealthy cycles etc. i put that processing/metaphor bit in as some insight as to how i see the feelings of my disorder and anxieties as they manifest in real time, and how i come to make certain decisions and work with or around my disorder for anyone that wants to know, and i figure that even though it’s not super articulate and involves a bunch of visualisations and disjointed metaphors, it is written in my mental processing language and if it helps even one person understand me a bit better, that’s great and counts towards my goal of staying away from closing off and walling everyone out(and myself inside!), making myself more accessible and easy to understand, and if it helps someone else in the way of solidarity or putting a little mental picture to a process they couldn’t verbalise, then that’s pretty cool!!
so, that’s enough waffling i think - i’ll have you know i’m on a schedule! 😉✨

Note
1-50 of the writers ask thingy, tell me everything :D
D:
1 : What age-group do you write?adult! ive always written characters my age or a few years older
2 : What genre do you write?sff, mostly fantasy
3 : Do you outline according to big ideas or small details?hmmm, i guess small details? when i get an idea, i get an idea for single scenes or pieces of dialogue or a certain character, so i piece together an outline from that. but i have trouble with a overarching plot lol
4 : Which do you prefer–line-editing or plot-revisions?line-editing, i love editing. revisions suck bc it takes me 10,000 yrs to come up with an idea and now i have to replace it with another??? blasphemous
5 : Do you write better with or without deadlines?ive written my whole life without deadlines except for when i tried nano last year and failed. so without i guess, but then i dont have anything to convince me to write more lmao
6 : What would be the biggest compliment you could hope to receive on your current WIP?idk probably that its someones favourite book, or to see fanart *.*
7 : How long is your current WIP?26,305 words, its a rewrite heh
8 : What author would you be most excited to be compared to?hummmmmm,,,idk when people call new fantasy books “the next game of thrones” it sounds so fake lol but idk who my favourite author is...

18 : If you could assign your story one song, what would it be?unbecoming by starset
19 : Would you rather live in your characters’ world, or have your characters come live in our world?honestly? i wanna escape capitalism and wield a sword
20 : What book would you love to see adapted for the big or small screen?zero world by jason m hough!!!! its a pretty big book i think a movie duology or a tv show would work!
21 : Do you finish most of the stories you start?no
22 : Has your own writing ever made you cry?no lol
23 : Are you proud or anxious to show off your writing?anxious cz im bad
24 : When did you start considering yourself a writer?i meannnnnnnn do i even now thoooooo
25 : What books are must-reads in your genre?sff is so broad, read whatever tf u want
26 : What would you like to see more of in your genre?diversity, not just in race gender sexuality but in fucking plots like damn give me something w a twist
27 : Where do you get inspiration from?real life, books, movies
28 : On a scale of 1-10, how much do you stress about choosing character names?about a 2, i just search on a generator until i find one i like im not a stickler for names nd i dont usually have placeholder names or anything
29 : Do you tend to underwrite or overwrite in a first draft?chronic underwriter hence the only 20k words
30 : Does writing calm you down or stress you out?calm me down, i have no control over my own life so its good to have complete control over my oc’s lives. i dont tend to have the ‘characters run away from me’ thing, but probably bc i dont see it like that lol
31 : What trope do you actually like?ride-or-die, charas who are knowledgeable and badass from the beginning, i hate following the character learning to do something lmao im impatient
32 : Do you give your side-characters extensive backstories?depends on the side character, every character is fleshed out to an extent but i dont do a massive family tree or anything
33 : Do you flesh-out characters before you write, or let their personalities develop over time?i tend to create characters before plot so i would say i know them pretty well before starting but i do let them develop naturally within the story without forcing them into any box
34 : Describe your old writing in one word.tryhard
35 : Is it more fun to write villains or heroes?mmm both have their merits, i went through a phase where i loved villains but a warped heroes journey or a morally grey/anti-hero can be super good too
36 : Do you write with a black and white sense of morality?nah, murky
37 : What’s one piece of advice you would give to new writers?try anything. anything it doesnt matter if ur nervous or you ‘dont write in that genre’ or you dont even like that genre. its good to train yourself and go out of your comfort zone, makes u a better writer imo. also dont read this and think ‘im not writing an entire historical romance novel bc i hate it’ i mean just one shots. a paragraph or two. try out writing prompts, it really flexes ur skillsalso dont feel like everything u have to write will be published, thats what i mean by try out little paragraphs or prompts. let go of this idea that any of this work will see the light of day [unless u rly want it to] and just have fun, go wild, go crazy, go stupid
38 : What’s one piece of writing advice you try–but fail–to follow?its mostly those ones that help u have cleaner, more beautiful writing. i write really beige-like and its hard to be poetic or flowery

40 : What would you ask your favorite author if given one question?when ur next book out
41 : Do you find it distracting to read while you’re writing a first draft?nah
42 : Do critiques motivate or discourage you?ive never really had many, so i would say discourage bc i dont have a thick skin with my writing
43 : Do you tend to write protagonists like yourself or unlike yourself?unlike myself, i like to write bold, confident characters and im not that lol escapism much
44 : How do you decide what story idea to work on?whichever interests me the most at the moment, i can jump between projects easily so i dont have a problem
45 : Do you find it harder or easier to write when you’re stressed out?harder, i cant look at my writing if im stressed else ill absolutely hate it and might do something drastic like delete it all lol
46 : What Hogwarts house would your protagonist(s) be in?ary is slytherincyri is ravenclawash is gryffindorcaena is slytherin [i dont know how to spell the house names]
47 : Where do you see yourself as a writer in five years?still writing id hope
48 : Would you ever co-write?nah
49 : Are you a fast and rushed writer or a slow and deliberate writer?i used to be fast and rushed bc i was so impatient i just wanted to see the end product but i realised that i really love being in the world of my wips as long as possible so i draw it out and really mull everything over
50 : Would you rather be remembered for your fantastic world-building or your lifelike characters?both lol? i do love worldbuilding but i think characters make a greater impact
