Exterminators’ guide to getting rid of carpenter ants:
• Fix moisture problems, roof leaks, and plumbing leaks in home or business building.
• Cut back tree branches or branches away from the roof line and walls of your structure.
• Stack firewood away from the building, elevated off the ground to prevent carpenter ants from nesting in it.
• Seal cracks and openings around the foundation, especially where utility pipes and wires enter from the outside.
Bellevue, Wa. – As the Summer rolls out and the median temperatures of Autumn begin, ant infestations pick up in Seattle area homes and businesses.  This means serious headaches and possible costly fixes if the infestation is not correctly controlled.
Commercially available sprays and control devices may work for a short time, but the constant need to reapply and retreat becomes more and more costly.  All the while, different ant species find their way into homes via routes that homeowners using sprays may not think of or reach.
Infestations normally start with food, sweet foods in particular.  Any food that is not tightly sealed correctly will certainly become filled with ants and need immediate disposal outside of the home.
Food infestations are an issue, but the more destructive ants, those that feed on wood cellulose, can be the most destructive.  Repairs can quickly reach into the tens of thousands of dollars if left untreated.
The solution lies in professional treatment by certified, licensed professionals exterminators with Seattle Ants Control.  Their team of pest exterminators come on site to do a thorough inspection before starting any treatment.  The homeowner is fully involved in the process and is not caught unaware of a startling bill for services.
Each member of the Seattle Ants Control team is fully licensed and bonded with the state, so homeowners can relax in comfort knowing their pest control issues are fully in hand.    All of the chemical treatments and control agents are safe during application.
Ant exterminators treat both inside and outside of the home and areas where the homeowner may not have considered or checked for infestation.  Areas around drains, pipes and any egress to the outside are a potential ant route, and the staff of Seattle Ants Control will take every step to ensure a full and complete control each and every time.
How to kill and get rid of ants
Ants may enter your house foraging for food or seeking shelter. Understanding the behavior of ants will help you with the recommended pest control procedures. They enter through any access points they can find, foraging for water or food. They are in search of either sweet based food or protein/grease based foods. Once they find a food source, ants will leave a pheromone trail for other ants to follow. Ants are a social insect that live in colonies. Treatment plans should include killing the entire colony. Just spraying an ant with a typical ant spray, particularly a repellent spray will only kill a few at best.

Interview on www.quitmyscene.com March 30th 2005
Interviewer: Cassidy Myers Interviewee: William of The Academy Is... Date of interview: March 30, 2005 Cassidy: So first off how has the tour been going with Fall Out Boy? William: The tour has been spectacular. It’s our first tour were our record is out. So, it’s been our first real look at how our record is going to come out, you know? And its been magical. In just a short period of time. It’s been great. C: How did deal come along with Fueled By Ramen? W: Well we had an EP and we just started playing local shows in Chicago and we had a couple new demos. We kind of revaluated our songwriting process, like how we are going to move forward, and not be counterproductive, and actually have a focus. We were always friends with Fall Out Boy Growing up and Pete the bass player liked us a lot and he told John Janick that is head of Fueled By Ramen and he got him to come check us out. So, he flew up, at the time Mike and I were living in an apartment together writing the record for out friends Tony and Johnny. He came up and stayed in our apartment for like three days, up to like three in the morning every night, talking about music, talking about our future, showing him some new stuff. At that point it was just all big dreams, no songs written, and it couldn’t have worked out better, he believes in us and signed up with a real simple deal and you know, here we are.
C: So why the name change from The Academy To The Academy Is...? W: Well, obviously we were originally named The Academy. Right after our EP came out we ran into some legal problems, with other artists or organizations called The Academy or Academy. So, basically we had everything worked out, we where going to keep the name, but there was this rock singer from like the 60’s or 70’s, who was only released in Great Britain, but he went under the name The Academy. But, we couldn’t get a hold of him or any label of his, so instead of risking that, plus with all these other legal sharks around us, we figured we could just get out of the water. We wanted to change it to something very subtle, but you have to understand at the time we were changing our sound, we were changing the way we where going to write songs for now on. That’s where we were at the same juncture, but we didn’t want to alienate the people that saw us spring up. Our local following, we didn’t want to alienate those people saying that, “We changed our name and we changed our sound.” So, we just changed it very subtlety and I think it is just very open ended and it is what it is, its means whatever you want it to mean. C: So the song "Black Mamba" is about the horrible reviews you guys got by critics from the EP, so was the song kind of your way to get back at the critics? W: “Black Mamba” isn’t just a middle finger to critics. “Black Mamba” is a lot different, it’s about our focus, and it’s like telling people our focus isn’t about Rolling Stones or any critic thinks about our music. If they love it, great, if the don’t, great. That’s America, we’re all entitled to our opinions and that’s what is beautiful about it. But as far as art goes, I believe what we are doing is art and art is so subjective, how can you really judge it that intensely? Being so ignorant and not knowing anything about it. For us it was focusing on this song is for people, this music is for people, and this record is for people. It’s not for some guy in a suit, well it is for some guy in a suit, but it’s not about we he thinks about it, it’s not about the credibility. It’s for people thinking for themselves and making their own decisions and just loving music. C: When you were presented with the chance to play music for a living was it an easy choice or a gamble that you got lucky on? W: None of us, was presented with that, here go play music for the rest of your life, it will be simple, here you go, you know? This is how I started it, like when I was a senior in high school, I decided I wanted to do music, I want to perform. I still had a solo project back then and I just fell in love with performing. That was just me and an acoustic guitar and singing on a stole. I fell in love with that, I fell in love with writing with song writing, I fell in love with the music. So, I knew I wanted to do it, for me it was a really hard decision because at that point everything for the past 11 years of my life was all devoted to school and academics and education. My future was going to start after college, I was going to do what a lot of people do and for me I value education to no end, but that’s not where my heart said and my heart said music, so that’s what I got to do. So, I graduated a semester early and I went on tour right away. If it was like my dads mini-van or me, my guitar and me best friend in the world, Johnny Minardi and we just went and booked our own tour on the east coast through the biggest snow storm of the past decade. It was like really dangerous, but it was really great and that’s how I started. It was a decision, it wasn’t a presentation and that’s how it goes for all of us. We had to really work for that opportunity. It was a conscience decision.
C: Do you miss playing solo as Remember Maine and will Remember Main ever making a comeback? W: Thank you for knowing about that. It seems like people out here [in Seattle, WA] actually know about it, like someone was yelling it out in the crowd today and I was like what? It is always wild. I love performing solo and I’m not thinking about music and this project and that project, I’m thinking about it as my creative release and what I do as my release. Am I going to record under the name Remember Maine anymore? I don’t know, maybe. Am I going to perform stuff of my own? Everyday. I don’t know, we’ll have to see, all I know its going to be a really long future of songwriting whether if it’s with me or this band.
C: What do you think about the RIAA still suing kids for downloading music to this day? W: While I found out a lot of the bands I love through downloads through like mp3.com or purevolume. There’s that and I think that’s the right way to go, there doing it the right way, purevolume and mp3.com, are doing it the right way, but these other guys like Kazza and Napster, aren’t doing it the right way and it is stealing music. It’s like stealing paintings off a museum wall, it takes away everything rock and roll is about, like going to the record store and coming home like “Now I’m broke, but I spent all my money on these records that are going to change my life,” for me it just doesn’t make sense, but for young people who are just are coming up in this new generation of music and the way it is socially accepted, like how it goes about. That’s all they know, they don’t know about buying records. That’s what we are trying to do and what record labels are trying to do is cracking down on this. Like they don’t see as big as turn like they did in the 90’s because everyone is burning CDs, no ones making any money, so how are going to have rock and roll bands that are going to change the world if labels can’t stick around long enough to build a career for them. So, for me I’m a supporter. C: What have you been listening to lately? W: Well, I listen to tons of Jon Lennon “legend” that record. Don Henley’s greatest hits, he wrote so many hits it’s beyond belief. A lot of Simon and Garfunkel, the new Kings of Leon record, is so good, if you haven’t picked it up, pick it up, it’s really, really good, it’s rock and roll. Listening to a lot of old David Bowie. Listening to Peter Gabriel. That’s pretty much what I have on rotation. C: Anything else you would like to say? W: Check out our record, our website is theacademyis.com, go there and see where we are going to be around in your city. Thank you so much.

AP web exclusive: All Time Low tour diary
Posted by Scott Heisel on 08-Dec-06 @ 04:43 PM
Last month, Baltimore pop-punkers All Time Low took to the road with Sugarcult for a series of shows on the West Coast. Here's some of what they saw, in words and pictures. Learn more at www.alltimelow.com.
#1------------------------------------------------------------ Ooohooo So last night we celebrated two awesome occasions...well 3 since matt's molars finally grew in...anyways yesterday was Haloween and our first night of our tour with Sugarcult. I must say, it is pretty strange touring with a band who I spent the better years of my middle school life watching on MTV. Regardless of where this band has been, it definetly didn't eff with their personalities. They were all super nice to us and each came up and introduced themselves. The show went pretty well but it wasn't a good judgement of our the whole tour is going to be because Sugarcult didn't even headline, the Eagles Of Death Metal did, and the tickets for $25 on Haloween night :) I'm sorry but I would never go to a show if those were the circumstances...I'd be out expanding my collection of holiday treats. Tonight the 'real' tour begins so we will see how it goes. We are playing Washington State University in Pullman Washington. We haven't done too many college shows, so this should be interesting...anyways before we got on the road a couple days ago we were couped up in Ben Harper's (formely of yellowcard, now in amber pacific) house/studio in long beach, CA working on our new CD :). We demoed some hot licks that were going to send over to our producer matt squire so that he can put in some input. I heard my blogs are going to be posted on the Alternative Press website for this tour, so if that's the case then...helll yeah! Well I just woke up from sleeping in the van so I am gonna walk out into the freezing streets of Pullman, WA crack my back and grab some Qudoba. Much Love, Jack --jbstar #2------------------------------------------------------------ Yoo dooodds, So I'm gonna update you guys on the passed couple shows...on Wednsday we played Washington State University. Those kids are freaking crazy! Everyone seemed to be having a good time and we made some awesome new friends. I cannot stress enough, how cool the Sugarcult guys are. Which is really cool because I have been listening to those guys since 6th grade! Anyways before we played, matt thought it would be a good idea to have a fork and knife fight backstage...yeah it turned pretty ugly and we should have some footage online soon enough. That night we partied at 'The Christmas House'. Lets just say that I'm pretty sure alex made out with a dog...I really miss Hit The Lights :( Anways...we played Seattle after the college show and it was offf the hoooook. Everyone in the room was dancing and it got pretty redic. As soon as we told them the alex/dog story they went nuts. We met up with the Pink Spiders that night. We were nervous about that because we've heard some stuff...but for real those guys are the shit. There all super nice and we have no complaints about them. We have yet to tour with a band who we don't get along with (fingers crossed). We also heard that we may be doing a few shows with Cobra Starship in Dec, if that happends that would be sick. I'll keep you guys updated. Someone made us a bucket of the craziest donuts ive ever seen at the portland show last night!! They were reallly good. Sorry for the lack of pics, I'll make sure my next post has more, its just hard to take good pics on a sidekick :). Talk to you guys soon!!Jacko #3------------------------------------------------------------ Yo Babaayyss, Last nights show was off the hook! I love playing at The Boardwalk in orangevale calii. The crowd was as wild as usual and a bunch of kids were singing along. A lot of the same kids who saw us there on the Amber Pacific tour came back. Its always cool to see so many familiar faces,,,cough cough hint hint nudge...you get the idea folks! The next couple shows should be interesting...reno and vegas. I wont be able to gamble but at least ill be able to look at a lot of lights. We all have family comming out, so that should be exciting. I havent seen my brother and sister in ages and i know their gonna be wasted so that means they will be even more friendly :) Also Meg n Dia join up in vegas which is sick, SO SIKED FOR THAT!!! We met them on warped and their super nice. anyways i think its time, i go to In and Out because after this tour im not going to be able to go back for a while :( im going to eat there everyday twice a day until we leave Arizona. Ive attached pics from our set on the Epitaph stage at this years Bamboozle Left and also some pics of our acoustic set the 2nd day! Thanks to everyone who watched us either/both days :) love you peace peace n a bottle o' hair grease, jack #4------------------------------------------------------------ Wow...vegas has to be one of the strangest places on this earth. First of all we showed up in Reno (shity city) only to find that only sugarcults crew was there and the show probably wasnt going on. We were welcomed by a hooker in a pink tanktop and no teeth asking if we had any shirts we could give her...Thankfully we have power windows and middle fingers. Thankfully zack was asleep or he might have took her up on some of her offers...he's getting desperate you know..just kidding! Anyways we decided to hang out with sugarcults crew for a little then start the drive to vegas early since it was 8 house. We got to go over the Hoover Damn which was sweet. It's seriously Vegas Vacation all over again! Anyways, we got to vegas around midnight and it was a fantastic site! My bro and sis were staying at the MGM so thats where i headed. Rian to the Excalibur, Alex and Matt to the Venecian and Zack to the Luxor. We all split up and hung out with our fam for the evening. My brother took me around vegas and boyyy was it interesting. I was approached by numerous drunk people. It was basically like an Ocean City, Maryland for older people. It's just a place for adults to drink, walk around drunk, act like teenagers and maybe gamble a bit here n' there. it was Akward to say the least. Anyways the next day was the show at the House Of Blues at Mandalay Bay...probably one of the nicest venues we have ever played. We introduced ourselves to the Meg n Dia folks and got to know our new tour mates as we shared a dressing room. We soon found they are awesome people and they share a love for getting wild! The show was pretty cool, and the crowd was big. It was weird though because the merch was not in the venue, it was in the cassino haha. Anyways Vegas was an experience we wont forget, and I cant wait till we go there again. I hope the next time we go, were 21...actually nevermind because that would be three years :)stay rad, Jack #5------------------------------------------------------------ Lame! Tonight was our last show on the Sugarcult Tour featuring The Pink Spiders and Meg n Dia :( Damone will be taking our place on this great lineup. I am jelous that they get to join up! Anyways we made some lifetime friends on this tour and it was a great experience for everyone. Every single show was amazing and the fans never let us down. Traveling to bumfuck arizona and hearing a couple hundred kids sing your song is the coolest feeling ever. Sugarcult was very warming towards us and their personalities suprised the shit out of me. they were such cool guys and even when zack was sick they made him soup and gave him Emergen-C. WHO DOES THAT !?!? Thats like something my mom does...so in a way Sugarcult are our parents. They actually reffered to us as their younger brothers on stage. At the last show of the tour in Little Rock, Arkansas us and Meg n Dia ran on stage during "Bouncing Off the Walls" and started bouncing around and took over Tim's Guitar n Mic, Marko's (my twin) guitar and Airens Bass. It was so fun to bro down with a band that ive been listening to since middle school haha. Alex also got to soundcheck with sugarcult at Texas AM College because tim was at the hospital taking care of his sickness (i think he had a nasty cold). It was so crazy to see alex soundcheck with a band who for the past few years have held a special spot on my ipod and in my cd player :) I attached a pic of him sound-checking for fun. At the end of the show we said our goodbyes and gave our hugs. This is'nt the end of these friendships though, only the beggining...now we head home to write a new cd. Catch us on the road in the northeast in december when we head out with Cobra Starship! Stay safe, Jack

11 Things Every Homeowner Should Know
Your home is your sanctuary and maintaining it is paramount, especially if you ever plan on selling your home in the future you’ll be sure to want top dollar for it. Beyond sweeping floors and mowing your yard, some home maintenance tasks require more immediate attention and if left unchecked can cause significant damage to your home. Here are 11 things you should address immediately if you happen to see any of the signs that your home may have an underlying problem.
1. Your home has a leaking pipe
Whether it’s a small drip or a larger steady leak, the continuous moisture build-up can lead to mold growth, cracks in your drywall, damage to your ceilings, and can even affect your home’s foundation. If you suspect you have some plumbing that may be leaking inside your home, call a professional plumber to come and examine the signs you’re seeing, and any other plumbing questions you may have, so you can get your home back to working order.
Signs to look out for: You receive an unusually high water bill, a room smells musty, or you recently noticed an unexplained staining, wet spots, mold or mildew, on ceilings, walls, or floors.
2. Your roof is leaking
Rain may be a blessing for your garden, but not if it’s entering your attic or the rest of your home. Your attic is usually warmer and more humid than the central area of the house, and even a small leak from the roof into warm attic conditions makes a hotbed for mold to grow. Not to mention, if that leak continues unchecked it will begin to wreak havoc on the rest of your home, damaging ceilings and possibly your home’s walls and floors. This is one home maintenance item you will want to address the moment you realize it’s there.
Signs to look out for: A large water stain appears on your ceiling, unexplained moisture or drips forming on your walls, or you see larger bits of roof shingles in the downspout of your gutters.
3. Leaky foundation
Your basement foundation can leak over time. As your home settles, hairline foundation cracks can form. Unfortunately, water only needs a tiny space to seep through a foundation wall. You may be able to find and seal these cracks yourself, or you might need to hire a foundation specialist to shore up the foundation and prevent further movement and possible leaks. Standing water in an already damp basement can lead to mold growth, but also significant damage to your home.
Signs to look out for: An unusually high water bill, damp carpet or floors, you can smell mold or mildew, there’s a warm spot on your floor, you spot foundation cracks, or you notice a white powdery substance (efflorescence) which is usually the result of water evaporating leaving behind minerals.
4. Damp or wet crawl space
You want to keep your home’s crawl space as dry as possible. However, if you live in an area like Portland, OR or Seattle, WA where it rains a lot, it’s possible for your crawl space to become wet. It is usually because surface water from your roof’s drainage has begun overflowing, groundwater from the earth surrounding your home was overly saturated from heavy rainfall or melting snow and has found its way in, or there’s a plumbing issue you haven’t discovered yet. Though this home maintenance task isn’t necessarily the most enjoyable, because you’ll most likely be crawling under your home, it is a very important one to check off. Luckily, there are professional crawl space inspectors that can do this for you.
Signs to look out for: Higher energy bills because it takes more energy to heat/cool damp air, you smell mold or mildew, or you’ve noticed an increase in dust mites and other pests that thrive in a damp environment.
5. Dirty and improperly sealed air ducts
Air ducts become traps for dust, pet hair, and other contaminants that get sucked into your heating and cooling system. These contaminants stick to any damp ducting where mold, bacteria, and other fungi can grow. While you can keep air moving with ceiling or portable fans and air conditioning, the result is recirculating that same air filled with dust, mold, mildew, pet dander, and other respiratory irritants back through your home. Also, air ducts that are not sealed properly lead to overall poor air quality in your home. Replace your air filters more frequently and have a professional come out once a year to thoroughly clean out your air ducts, check your ductwork to tape and repair as needed.
Signs to look out for: You begin to have high electric bills, your home is always dusty, your rooms are different temperatures, there’s debris under your vent covers, your return air register is covered in especially thick dust, and your air filter is clogged with dust.
6. Air leaks
Air leaks from outside can contribute to poor quality air indoors. Especially during the warmer months, pollen from new plants, chemicals from lawn pesticides, and other environmental pollutants can float into your home through improperly sealed windows, doors, and ducting. Air leaks also contribute to higher energy bills for cooling and warming your home. If you suspect your home has air leaks and you see some of the signs listed below, then consider hiring a professional to come out and do a home energy audit.
Signs to look out for: Gaps where two different building materials meet on your home (example: exterior brick joining to a cement foundation), you notice cracks/gaps by outlets, doors, window frames, fireplaces, light fixtures, or you may just simply notice a draft in your home. It is most likely coming from an air leak.
7. Sewage backup or odors from sewer gas
A sewage backup is a serious environmental hazard. Because modern sewer systems usually function so effectively, people often don’t worry about how a backup might affect their home or their family. If you notice any of the signs that you have a sewage backup in your home, you should probably leave this one to the professionals and get this looked at immediately. This is one home maintenance item you don’t want to put off as the toxic fumes from sewer gas can negatively impact your family’s health.
Signs to look out for: More than one of your drains are clogged, water is backing up in other drains, you see bubbles after you flush the toilet, your toilet isn’t flushing right and the plunger doesn’t seem to help, or you smell sewer gas in your home.
8. Excess moisture in the house
Environmental health experts stress how important it is to maintain indoor humidity at around 40% and keep windows, basements, and attics dry. Excess moisture in your home can create a breeding ground for all types of fungi and bacteria. Monitor the humidity levels of your home with a handy humidity meter you can get at any home improvement store. This can help you decide how to control the humidity levels in your home.
Signs to look out for: There’s condensation on windows during the colder months, you notice a mildew smell in the bathroom or mold growing in the cabinet under the sink, the paint is peeling, cracking, or blistering on interior surfaces, or you notice an increase in pests like dust mites.
9. Your stove’s exhaust fan is not venting properly
Your stove’s exhaust fan filter collects smoke, odors, and grease from your food as it cooks. If oil clogs your filter – which it inevitably does over time – cooking contaminants recirculate back into the air in the house and begin sticking to your walls. Luckily, this home maintenance item is easily remedied by simply cleaning (degreasing) your filters. If that doesn’t work, then you may have to call in a professional because the motor in your range’s vent hood may need to be replaced.
Signs to look out for: Your range hood doesn’t clear smoke easily (even on the highest setting), the exhaust fan is very loud or humming constantly, lights stop working on the hood which could indicate other electrical issues.
10. Overflowing gutters
If your gutters are overflowing, it usually means they are clogged with debris – leaves, seeds, and sticks from surrounding trees. The force of water flowing through the gutters compacts this debris which leads to clogged and overflowing gutters. If you ignore this typical fall and spring home maintenance task, then your clogged gutters can cause damage to the exterior of your home. Your gutters can place unneeded strain on your roof and shingles, spill water down the side of your home instead of through the downspout and away from your home, or they can even collapse damaging the side of your house. Luckily, this is an affordable home maintenance task you can simply have a professional do for you.
Signs to look out for: You see plants growing from your gutters, there’s debris on the side of your gutter, you notice dirty streaks (tiger stripping), watermarks, or mold on the side of your house, or possibly your gutter is pulling away from your home.
11. Chimney and flue build-up (creosote)
Creosote is an oily substance that builds up inside your chimney and flue if you have a wood-burning fireplace or stove. Have your chimney and flue cleaned of creosote annually, especially if you regularly use your fireplace. It’s also a good idea to have it cleaned before the colder months of miscellaneous debris or even bird nests before you begin using it. If you don’t, you could put your home in danger of a chimney fire, causing significant damage to your home and possibly putting your family at risk. Hiring a professional to clean your chimney and flue once a year will help maintain your home and make sure you’re able to enjoy those warm fires for years to come.
Signs to look out for: You see more wood than ash after a fire, there’s reduced drafting in the fireplace, you notice black soot around the fireplace, very dark, dense smoke comes out of your chimney, and you can see a build-up of soot, you hear a loud crackling or popping sound, or you notice an intense hot smell.

ACRYLIC COATINGS MARKET ANALYSIS
Acrylic Coatings Market - Size, Share, Trends, and Forecast 2019 - 2027
The global acrylic coatings market size is expected to witness potential gains in the future, and register a CAGR of 6.1% over the forecast period (2019 - 2027).
Market Overview
Acrylic coatings possess excellent durability, are highly resistant to water and UV rays, stable under extremely cold temperature, easy to apply, and cost effective compared to other materials. The key feature of acrylic polymers is that they can be developed to be both tough and flexible at the same time. Acrylic materials have a wide range of applications, but are most commonly designed for the purpose of roof coatings (as replacement for house paint), and other roof applications. Elastomeric finish and high surface hardness makes them ideal for application in the building sector. Among other advantages, acrylic coatings have low odor, quicker drying time, eco-friendly, water resistance, and they are also resistant to corrosion. The low odor means acrylic coatings are a preferred choice for external as well as internal use.
Market Dynamics
Acrylic coatings can be applied over a wide range of surfaces such as wood, steel, aluminum, primers rich in zinc, concrete, piping, and others. As a result, acrylic coatings are expected to witness a high demand from coating and paint industries. Furthermore, there is a significant demand for decorative paints for application in exterior and interior walls which is driving the growth of the market. Increasing disposable income in emerging economies combined with rapid urbanization has led to a demand for aesthetically pleasing infrastructure and decorative coatings. Key players across the globe are also focusing on investments in untapped regions which is expected to benefit the overall market growth over the forecast period. Moreover, increasing number of environmentally friendly regulations by government agencies have led to industries opting for coatings containing low intensity volatile organic compounds, as a result of rising health concerns among the global population such as cancer risk and respiratory illnesses. Environmental policies have driven manufacturers to produce ecofriendly products that will not have a harsh impact on the environment and public health. Such regulations are facilitating the growth of the global acrylic coatings market.
Although, there are some limitations to waterborne coatings with regards to the weather at the time of application, and have a moderate scope of affecting the market growth. For instance, in extremely humid conditions (over 90% humidity), acrylic coatings may take longer to dry.
Market Outlook
Asia Pacific has accounted for the highest market share in the past few years, and the trend is likely to continue over the forecast period owing to an industrial boom in the region. Rapidly expanding end use industries such as automotive, construction, and metal in emerging economies such as China and India are contributing to the demand for acrylic coatings in Asia Pacific. Furthermore, the growing gross domestic product and disposable income of the population in this region is expected to benefit the market growth in the upcoming years. Europe is expected to be the second largest market for acrylic coatings, and is likely to witness significant growth, particularly in the wood substrate acrylic coating segment. The North America market is expected to grow at a steady rate following the economic slump in 2009. Other regions such as Latin America and Africa are also projected to contribute to the market share as a result of increasing urbanization and industrialization in the regions.
Key Players
Some of the prominent players in the global acrylic coatings market are Nippon Shokubai, Asian Paints India, Berkshire Hathaway, Azkonobel, Berger Paints India, and BASF SE among others.

Origins for Super Mario Characters Name
.
When I found that out I did two things. To begin with, I whipped out the message of mine (yes, I keep it which real/nerdy which I still need a well used NES hooked up in my room) and then made confident I can still beat the game at will. (I can. Childhood not wasted.)
Secondly, I launched down a rabbit hole of looking through Mario internet sites and Wikis and Articles. In the procedure, I stumbled upon the etymologies of the brands of several of the key players in the Mario universe. So, in honor of the video game that changed the planet, in this article they're, provided in handy 11-item show form.
Mario.
When Mario debuted to the arcade game "Donkey Kong", he was only called Jumpman. (Which also actually is the generic label regarding that Michael Jordan dispersed leg Nike logo. Two of the most celebrated icons ever before both have generic versions of themselves called Jumpman. But simply at least one has nowadays arrived at the attempt of simply being extremely powerful that he shaved himself a Hitler mustache before filming a commercial and not one person had the balls to correct him.)
In 1980, as the Nintendo of America crew brought in Jumpman to lift him right into a franchise-leading star (Hayden Christensen style), an individual discovered that he looked like their Seattle office building's landlord... a guy named Mario Segale.
Mario Segale did not get yourself a dime for being the namesake of one of the most famous video game persona perhaps, however, he most likely is not excessively concerned; in 1998 he sold the asphalt small business of his for around $60 million. (Or 600,000 extra lives.)
Luigi.
Luigi has among the weakest name roots of all of the images of mario characters in the Mario universe (once again showing why, in actual life, he'd have a bigger inferiority complicated than Frank Stallone, Abel or perhaps that 3rd Manning brother).
"Luigi" is simply the result of people of Japanese males attempting to think of an Italian label to enhance "Mario." Why was that the Italian label they went with? When they each moved from Japan to Seattle, the pizza area nearby to the Nintendo headquarters referred to as Mario & Luigi's. (It has since gone from business.)
Koopa.
Koopa is a transliterated version of the Japanese rap for the enemy turtles, "Kuppa." Stick with me right here -- kuppa is the Japanese phrase for a Korean dish referred to as gukbap. Basically it's a cup of soup with rice. From what I explain to it is absolutely unrelated to turtles, especially malicious ones.
In an interview, Mario's author, Shigeru Miyamoto, claimed he was deciding between three distinct names for the race of evil turtles, all of that were called after Korean foods. (The alternative 2 were yukhoe and bibimbap.) Which means among two things: (1) Miyamoto loves Korean food and needed to offer a tribute or even (two) Miyamoto believes Koreans are evil and have to be jumped on.
Wario.
I kind of overlooked the debut of Wario -- he debuted in 1992, right around when I was hitting the generation exactly where I was way too cool for cartoon y Nintendo games. (Me and my middle school buddies have been into Genesis just. I was back on Nintendo within 4 years.)
Appears the name of his functions both equally in Japanese and english; I kinda assumed the English fashion but didn't know about the Japanese aspect. In English, he is an evil, bizarro marketplace mirror image of Mario. The "M" turns to be a "W" and also Wario is produced. The name also functions in Japanese, when it is the variety of Mario as well as "warui," which implies "bad."
That's a pretty high quality situation, since, as I covered thoroughly in the summary 11 Worst Japanese-To-English Translations In Nintendo History, not every language disparity finesses back as well as forth that smoothly.
Waluigi.
When I first read "Waluigi" I assumed it was hilarious. While Wario was an all natural counterbalance to Mario, Waluigi felt so comically shoehorned (just tacking the "wa" prefix before Luigi) -- like a giant inside joke that somehow cleared each and every bureaucratic stage and cracked the mainstream.
Well... in accordance with the Nintendo people, Waluigi is not just a gloriously lazy choice or an inside joke become massive. They *say* it's dependant upon the Japanese word ijiwaru, which means that "bad guy."
I do not understand. I think that we'd have to meet them much more than halfway to invest in that.
Toad.
Toad is made to look as a mushroom (or perhaps toadstool) because of his gigantic mushroom hat. It is a great thing these games debuted before the entire generation realized how to earn penis jokes.
Anyway, in Japan, he's named Kinopio, which is certainly a blend of the word for mushroom ("kinoko") as well as the Japanese version of Pinocchio ("pinokio"). Those blend being something around the collections of "A Real Mushroom Boy."
Goomba.
In Japanese, these guys are termed as kuribo, that means "chestnut people." That is sensible because, ya know, if someone expected you "what do chestnut people seem like?" you'd probably arrive at food roughly similar to the heroes.
When they had been brought in for the American version, the staff tangled with the Italian initiative of theirs and also referred to as them Goombas... primarily based off the Italian "goombah," which colloquially signifies something like "my fellow Italian friend." It also type of evokes the photo of low level mafia hooligans without too numerous skills -- like individuals younger brothers and cousins who they had to employ or maybe mother would yell at them. Which also applies to the Mario Bros. goombas.
Birdo.
Birdo has absolutely nothing to do with this particular first Japanese title. Right now there, he's named Kyasarin, that typically means "Catherine."
In the training manual for Super Mario Bros. 2, in which Birdo debuted, the persona description of his reads: "Birdo believes he's a girl and wants being known as Birdetta."
What I do believe all of this means? Nintendo shockingly chosen to produce a character who struggles with his gender identity and then named him Catherine. When it was time to show up to America, they got feet that are cold so they determined at the last second to telephone call him Birdo, even though he's a dinosaur. (And don't offer me the "birds are descended from dinosaurs" pop paleontology collection. Not buying that connection.) In that way, we would just understand about the gender misunderstandings of his in case we look at the manual, and the Japanese have been fairly certain Americans had been sometimes way too lazy or illiterate to do it en masse.
Princess Toadstool/Peach.
When we all got released on the Princess, she was recognized as Princess Toadstool. I guess this made good sense -- Mario was set in the Mushroom Kingdom, so why wouldn't its monarch be called Princess Toadstool. Them inbreeding bluish bloods will always be naming the children of theirs after the country.
No one seems to be sure the reason they went the guidance, however. In Japan, she was recognized as Princess Peach from day one. That title did not debut here until 1993, when Yoshi's Safari arrived on the scene for Super Nintendo. (By the manner by which -- have you played Yoshi's Safari? In an off-the-wall twist it is a first-person shooter, the only one in the entire Mario the historical past. It is like something like a country music superstar creating a weird rock album.)
Bowser.
In Japan, there is simply no Bowser. He is simply called the King Koopa (or similar variants, including Great Demon King Koopa). And so where did Bowser come from?
During the import process, there was an issue that the American crowd wouldn't recognize how the little turtles and big bad guy might definitely be named Koopa. So a marketing staff put together a large number of selections for a name, they loved Bowser the very best, as well as slapped it on him.
In Japan, he's nonetheless hardly ever referred to as Bowser. Around here, his label has become so ubiquitous that he's even supplanted Sha Na Na's Bowzer as America's most famous Bowser.
Donkey Kong.
This's a more literal interpretation than you think. "Kong" is based off of King Kong. "Donkey" is a family friendly method of calling him an ass. That's right: His name is a valuable version of "Ass Ape."

The former Naval Base, now the MOHAI in Seattle at Lake Union Park
MOHAI, Museum of History and Industry, Seattle WA. Its home is from 1942, a former Naval Reserve Armoury and a Naval Training Center during World War II.
I had been looking forward to seeing this museum as we were visiting Seattle. We wanted to find surviving buildings from constructor Hans Peterson. Through our blogging, we got in contact with Paula Peterson, whose father was a Danish immigrant and builder of Seattle. My father’s uncle lived there at the same time as Hans Peterson,
Wanting to know about the development of the city from the beginning of the twentieth century, I would have liked to have found more of it at the MOHAI.

The museum was new and full of screens with speakers talking about the history of Seattle. There was no way of turning off the volume, so concentrating on reading was nearly impossible. Only a fraction of their stored material is on display.
I found an interesting detail about a stained glass series showing sleigh dogs on their way to the Gold Rush in Yukon. The glass ornamentations have initially been on the Arctic Club, the most prominent of Hans Peterson’s buildings. The Museum Shop had books on the old Seattle only not Paula’s book on Hans Pederson.
We gave the man working there information on the book about the discovery of Paula Pederson’s then-famous father.

To get around in Seattle, we discovered that we could buy an extension ticket on the busses for one dollar. We were “Senior Citizens” which saved us a lot of walking. Each city has it’s own system of transportation, and it takes some time to get acquainted with it.

A closeup on Smith Tower
From the museum, we went to the Smith Tower, a landmark of Seattle; the highest skyscraper of the West Pacific when built. Behind it, is Hans Peterson’s King County Court House from 1930 just before the big economic crack.

A glimpse of the Smith Tower from the waterfront
The Smith Tower had an interesting museum with photos and artefacts from its origin. You follow some questionable characters who reigned in the city full of crime and corruption a little more than a hundred years ago.
We came up to the top of the tower by the original old man guided elevator.  A few years ago it was modernised to stop automatically at the different levels. Initially, the driver would manually make it stop at the right place. The guide managed to tell us a lot of stories while going up to the restaurant at the top. You could enter the balcony without having to buy anything in the bar. The view of the city and harbour was stunning.

In the evening light, the Arctic Club from 1916 is like a shining pearl. We ended a full day of sightseeing by visiting the historic place on Third Avenue and Cherry Street, now a luxury hotel. A concierge showed us much interest and let us see the essential parts of the historic rooms. The members of the club were men who had earned a fortune on selling stuff for the gold rushers. They had better luck than most of the gold diggers.

At another time, I will return with a blog on the attractive Gold Rush Museum close to Pioneer Square in Seattle.

Eric Dettman, former runner at Oregon and York (IL) coaches at Lincoln High School in Portland, Oregon and led his program to a top 10 finish last year in the region that produced the eventual national champions.
High School Harrier: What did it mean for your girls team to finish top 10 at NXR NW last year?
Eric Dettman: We actually walked away from that experience fairly disappointed. Almost the entirety of our team under-performed on that day and we knew that we were better than what we showed.  We will use it as a learning experience for this year and intend to compete at the Bob Firman Invite to continue to prepare to run on that NXR course.
HSH: You had a strong senior class last year with 4 seniors on your 3rd place team at state. What was the dynamic of those athletes with the team?
ED: They were fantastic and really helped to set the model that we want all of our athletes to focus on.  As our program continues to build, we will use those athletes as a continued reference of how to achieve big goals.  They were diligent in their actions, loved their teammates, and acted as fantastic leaders.  Each one brought individual skills that helped propel the team.
HSH: Do you view this as a rebuilding year or do you think your returning athletes are ready to compete at the same level?
ED: I think we’ll likely be quite a bit better this year. We add a very strong freshman class and are ready to unleash some talented runners who are cracking the varsity roster for the first time. Fourteen girls are competing for the varsity team, which can be credited to strong development from the track season.
HSH: Do you have any athletes you believe are ready to have a breakout season?
ED: We have 4 sophomores who I think will be big contributors this year who were not varsity athletes last year.  Additionally, we have a few from the senior class who are fully committed to the season and have made large-scale improvements from summer training.  I’m also very excited about some of our JV athletes. We’ve had quite a few buy-in to the ultimate process and will see some incredible drops in time this season.
HSH: How involved are you in team goal setting?
ED: I like to be involved although I have an assistant, Marie Davis, who was a former Lincoln High and Oregon Duck athlete who leads most of those sessions with our girls. She does a wonderful job and I sit back and interject here and there when I feel it’s needed.  During her sessions we try to set immediate goals, team goals, individual goals, and reach goals.  We’ll continue to adjust those as the summer and season progress.
HSH: Do you have any big regular season meets your team will be participating in this fall?
ED: The three big meets on our schedule this year are Bob Firman in Boise, Id., Hole in the Wall near Seattle, Wa., and Warner Pacific in Portland, Or.
HSH: What is your philosophical approach to coaching that shapes how you run your program?
ED: Our two big team mantras are love your teammates and be the best version of yourself every day. If you do those two things, you’re going to have a successful season and you’re going to have a great time doing it.  In terms of specifics to our program, we try to incorporate a lot of speed into our daily routine.  I think it’s important to run fast year-round if we want to run fast at the state meet.  We’ll incorporate a lot of ladder drills, wicket drills, flying 50s and other various speed drills into our daily routine.
HSH: What is a sample week of training for your program during the cross country season?
ED: Depends on the year but at this point in the season
Monday – Warmup, sprint drills, wickets and ladders - Longer hill intervals, about 675 meters (6-8) – weight room
Tuesday – Strength and Mobility Drills - Training Run with some short strides
Wednesday – Warmup, sprint drills, wickets and ladders - Some type of longer tempo or threshold workout followed by flying 50s – weight room
Thursday – Strength and Mobility Drills – Training run with some strides
Friday - Strength and Mobility Drills – Training run with some short explosive hills
Saturday – Strength and mobility drills and a progressive long run
Sunday – On your own, cross train, off day
HSH: What type of mileage does your average top 7 runner do during their base phase?
ED: During our base phase it really depends on each girl as we try to individualize as much as possible.  We may have a younger girl who enjoys the 800 in track, and logs 35 miles per week; whereas, a longer distance-oriented athlete runs up to 50-60 miles/week. Again, each plan is individualized and our philosophy is a focus on safe and healthy ways to increase mileage appropriately.
HSH: Do you have a staple workout you like to do with your program?
ED: We started to use a longer hill close to our campus that is 675 meters long this past spring and I think it’s paid some serious dividends.  It’s great because there’s a little shootout that goes straight down from the top so we can keep the rest limited.  We’ll use it as more a hilly tempo workout in the early summer but we can also use it as more of a V02max workout as the season progresses.
HSH: What type of ancillary training does your team do?
ED: We do a lot of ancillary training throughout the year, including strength and mobility drills practiced almost daily. We go to the weight room a few times a week to build leg strength and flexibility through squats, deadlifts, other various lifts, and hurdle drills.  We also do ladder drills help to bring the athleticism out of our athletes and the wickets teach them how to run upright, put their feet into the ground, and run more like sprinters.
HSH: What do you think is the most important aspect of your training program?
ED: Physically, the speed drills that we’ve started to incorporate have made a huge difference.  Mentally, it’s that belief in the process.  We've made a large focus from "running races" to "racing races." The belief, confidence and self-expectation to be great is a leading factor for the program's large-scale improvement.
HSH: What was the most influential book or coach that helped you get to where you've brought your program?
ED: Three coaches have been particularly influential to me: My high school coaches at York, Joe Newton and Charlie Kern, and my college coach at Oregon, Andy Powell.
HSH: What do you do to help foster team camaraderie?
ED: Running is fun, and we create an environment to be a "fun enabler." We emphasize this by playing music during track workouts, bringing energy, and focusing on individual elements to personalize experiences for our athletes. We also have wonderful athletes; they naturally foster such strong camaraderie that it makes having fun easy.
HSH: Do you have any team traditions that you do each year?
ED: Our program is family-focused through a variety of events. At the forefront is our team potluck to converse with and introduce our new and existing families, answer questions, and share team guidelines and expectations. We also focus on team events, such as an annual pumpkin patch outing in October where the kids will meet, pickup pumpkins, walk through the corn maze, etc., and regular team dinners hosted by parent volunteers.
Training-wise, we started a team camp this year and took about 30 boys and girls, with the goal of scaling to 50 athletes in future years. I see it as important for all kids, regardless of ability level, to care about their teammates. It's also powerful to see a JV-athlete get-to-know and draw inspiration from a varsity athlete to work harder, improve, and grow.

Mold Testing Services In Seattle WA
Once the mold has infected your home, it can be very time-consuming and expensive to clean up. Worse yet, most home insurance agencies refuse to provide service for mold claims. It can also cause very serious allergic reactions for people and is especially dangerous for children, elderly individuals and others with weaker immune systems. Mold can also cause the value of your home to drop significantly. To prevent mold from growing in your house, there are a series of black mold prevention steps you can follow. The admin of bhg has said about How to Prevent Mold and Mildew.
Mold and mildew (mold in its early stage) are fungi that happily and quickly grow anywhere there is moisture. They serve an important purpose in our environment by helping to destroy organic materials such as leaves, thereby enriching the soil. But that same attribute can cause a serious health issue for people living in a moldy home: respiratory problems; sinus congestion; eye, nose, or throat irritation; and headaches. BHG
Water can seep into the house if your foundation is low or if the ground slopes towards a specific area. Also, make sure that the floor is properly ventilated and the walls are sealed to prevent water entry. Damp ground problems can be solved by sealing the cracks with polythene or another water sealant material. Throughout my career as an encapsulation specialist, I have noticed that many people do not really recognize the importance of preventing mold unless the mold growth became quite severe. When mold grows excessively on your crawlspace, it's a tedious procedure to remove it and this is why you need to take preventive measures to block mold growth from the very beginning. HEIDI HILL has given information on How to prevent mold.
Yes, mold can be good — it's essential in making brie and penicillin, for example, and necessary for the decomposition of organic matter in nature — but it can also be very, very bad, especially when it grows undetected in your home. Mold spores spread easily and cannot be completely eradicated. Mold can grow anywhere: on carpet, clothing, food, paper, and even in places you can't see, such as the backside of drywall, areas inside walls around leaking or condensing pipes, and above ceiling tiles. MNN
This gives a thorough information on mold testing services Seattle WA , thatmoldlady.com. I have noticed that at many occasions, homeowners are not able to communicate well with the stores and express the situation of their crawlspace. If you can click some pictures and send them, the merchant can provide you excellent assistance on your issue. Experienced merchants can understand your problems by examining your location because they probably have supplied products in your area before. This is why experienced merchants are always preferred. During spring many folks move down to their basements after a hellish period of frigid winter colds that make basements almost inaccessible to many. Apart from stowed junk and all manner of odds and ends which might include dead cats and rats, this region of your home is also a high power manufacturing plant for mold. Mold is a terrible health hazard that unfortunately is sometimes ignored due to its relative but deceptively harmless presence. The admin of mold-advisor has said about How To Prevent Mold In The Home.
Let’s talk about how to prevent mold for a moment. You’ve probably heard a lot about the risks of toxic household mold and about the costs of mold removal, but mold prevention is a topic discussed less frequently. If you know how to prevent the growth of mold, however, and take some relatively simple steps to prevent future problems, you can save yourself a lot of money and aggravation. After all, mold removal is costly, time consuming, and difficult! Mold Advisor
