My Favourite prop plane is the spitfire the merlin is one of the best sounding things on this planet (vulcan howl also up there)

My favourite early jet is the vampire

My favourite bomber is the vulcan, i will never forget the feeling and the sound of XH558 flying directly overhead at low altitude

My favourite modern jet is probably the mitsubishi F-2 concept the "super kai"

19th September 2015 - Avro Vulcan XH558 flying in formation with the RAF Red Arrows for the last time at Southport Airshow.

The Vulcan’s final flight was on 28th October 2015, after which she was permanently grounded.

Of the 134production Vulcans built, 19 survive today. None are airworthy, although three (XH558, XL426 and XM655) are in taxiable condition. All but four survivors are located in the United Kingdom. 🇬🇧

The plane in my banner is Avro vulcan XH558 and my favourite prop is the spitfire, the merlin is the best sounding V12 ever made (very jeremy clarkson-ish claim i know)

Avro Vulcan XL426 welcomes the visiting older relative, the WWII Avro Lancaster to Southend Airport, Essex.

The Lancaster and Spitfire of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight are temporarily stationed at Southend for the Eastbourne Air Show this weekend.

I find it very sad that there are no longer any airworthy Vulcans... although there are rumours that Avro Vulcan XH558 may soon be making a short flight from it’s current home in Doncaster. (i doubt this is true... although I hope it is!)
