French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Tuesday that France will provide Ukraine with 40 long-range SCALP cruise missiles and hundreds of bombs. This announcement, made during a press conference, highlights France's growing commitment to support Ukraine in the midst of its ongoing conflict with Russia.

President Macron also revealed plans for a bilateral security cooperation agreement with Ukraine, similar to the recent pact between the United Kingdom and Kiev. This measure further solidifies France's position in the international effort to strengthen Ukraine's defense against Russian aggression.

The SCALP missile system, known in the United Kingdom as Storm Shadow, is highly regarded for its precision and range, capable of hitting targets in the depths of the eastern regions of Ukraine occupied by Russia, far beyond the front lines. This capacity is crucial for Ukraine to reach strategic locations occupied by Russian forces.

In addition to the delivery of missiles, France's commitment includes a substantial supply of bombs, intensifying the level of military aid extended to Ukraine. This support is part of a broader international initiative to provide Ukraine with the necessary resources to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The effectiveness of the SCALP missile was previously demonstrated in Ukrainian hands, namely during an operation that led to the destruction of important Russian military means in Sevastopol.

Finnish and Swedish Air Force Continue Integration Training with NATO Partners

The air forces of Finland and Sweden have conducted flying maneouvres over the Baltic Sea and in the Baltic States' airspace practicing interoperability, integration and refuelling drills with other Allied air forces. During combined flights and air-to-air combat drills over the Baltic Sea and in Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian airspace at the end of March, Finnish and Swedish fighter pilots trained with their colleagues from France, Belgium, Germany and Poland. In addition to Finnish F/A-18s, the mission involved Swedish, French, Belgian, German and Polish fighter jets as well as a NATO AWACS aircraft. The fighter jets refuelled from German Airbus A400M Atla military transport aircraft and Multinational Multirole Tanker Transport Unit (MMU) irbus A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT). Under the responsibility of the Combined Air Operations Centre Uedem, NATO has conducted Finland-Sweden Training Events for several years aiming at integrating the two Nordic Allies when they were Partners. Türkiye’nin önde gelen savunma sanayii kuruluşlarından birisi olan TUSAŞ (Türk Uzay ve Havacılık Sanayi A.Ş) Almanya’da faaliyet gösteren savunma sanayii şirketi Grunewald Stade GmbH’nin hisselerinin %100’ünü satın alarak %100 yasal haklarına sahip oldu.

%100 Türk sermayeli olan ve Türk Silahlı Kuvvetlerini Güçlendirme Vakfı kuruluşu olan TUSAŞ, TUSAŞ GmbH ismiyle kurduğu şirketle Alman Grunewald Stade GmbH şirketinin bütün haklarını satın aldı. TUSAŞ GmbH kurulmasının sebebi olarak ise Avrupa’da TUSAŞ’ın bir uzantı şirketinin varlığını oluşturmak olduğu kaydedildi.

Satın alınan Grunewald Stade GmbH şirketi Avrupa’nın en büyük savunma sanayii merkezlerinden biri olan Hamburg şehrine yakın bir yerde bulunuyor. Ayrıca Grunewald Stade GmbH şirketi büyük savunma sanayii ve havacılık şirketi AIRBUS‘a alt yüklenicilik bir şirketti. Böylece TUSAŞ‘ın Avrupa uzantısı olan TUSAŞ GmbhH AIRBUS ile ortak projeler yönetecek ve Türk savunma sanayii şirketi TUSAŞ da Dünya’nın en iyi havacılık ve savunma şirketi AIRBUS ile ilişkilerini ilerletecek. Geçtiğimiz yıllarda A400M Atlas uçağının üretiminde de AIRBUS ve TUSAŞ ortak çalışmalar kaydetmişti.

Amaç Dünya’ya açılmak

Türkiye’nin en önde gelen havacılık ve savunma sanayii şirketi TUSAŞ sadece Türkiye’ye değil Dünya’da da etkili bir şirket olma hedefiyle her gün daha da ileriye gidiyor. Bunun sonucunda Türkiye’nin en büyük 500 şirketi sıralamasında 63. sıraya yükseldi. 63. sıraya yükselmenin birinci kaynağı ise TUSAŞ‘ın bir sene içinde 1 milyar dolar ciro yapması oldu.

En önemli savunma sanayii ve havacılık şirketi olan TUSAŞ halı hazırda HÜRKUŞ, T129 ATAK ve Jet Eğitim Uçağı ve Muharip Uçak Kavramsal Tasarım projelerini yürütmeye devam ediyor.
