What is Cargo Insurance?
Cargo insurance is an important component of the logistics industry. During the transportation of goods through various modes of transport and delivery routes, there is always a certain level of risk associated with the loss, damage, or theft of cargo. To protect themselves from potential financial losses, logistics companies turn to cargo insurance. In this article, we will explore what cargo insurance is and why it plays a crucial role in the operations of logistics companies. Definition of Cargo Insurance: Cargo insurance is the process by which a logistics company enters into an agreement with an insurance company to protect its cargo from losses and damages during transportation. Cargo insurance provides compensation for the loss or damage of goods resulting from natural disasters, accidents, theft, or other unforeseen events. This enables logistics companies to reduce financial risks and ensure the reliability of their services to clients. #airfreightservices #airtransport #airtransportinternational https://airfreight.services/what-is-cargo-insurance/

Atlas Air and Air Transport International operate the 767s for Prime Air. ⁣ ⁣ Amazon began operations in 2015 as a trial run out of Wilmington Air Park in Ohio under the code name Project Aerosmith. In March 2016, Amazon secured a stake in Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), the parent company of Air Transport International as part of its launch of cargo operations using wet-leased aircraft from ATSG. ⁣ ⁣ In December 2017, the company which was known as Amazon Prime Air, did a slight rebranding to Amazon Air to differentiate from the planned Amazon Prime Air drone delivery service though the aircraft still have Prime Air titles. Amazon also plans to acquire a minority stakeholding in Atlas Air. ⁣ ⁣ #avgeek #aviation #airlines #KPDX #PDX #Portland #Oregon #airport #planespotting #instaplane ⁣ #Boeing #767 #Amazon #PrimeAir #AirTransportInternational #AtlasAir⁣ ⁣ #instagramaviation #splendid_transport #instaaviation #aviationlovers #aviationphotography  #flight ⁣ ⁣ #AvGeeksAero #AvGeekNation #AvGeekSchoolofKnowledge (at Portland International Airport) https://www.instagram.com/p/CQSaRMYJrQ9/?utm_medium=tumblr

Retailers look to air freight solutions as port delays continue
Ongoing conflicts at West Coast ports are creating a growing traffic jam in the distribution of cargo around the country, giving many companies a major headache regarding the timely fulfillment of orders. As the slowdown continues, many companies, and especially retailers, are turning to air freight as a solution to getting overdue shipments to the warehouse. Retailers, of course, are experiencing difficulties more than others as the holiday season begins, which is their busiest time of the year. However, the media is not giving accurate information about what is actually happening. The ports have not stopped operating, but the rate of cargo handling through the locks has been severely reduced. According to preliminary estimates, cargo handling may decrease by 30%, resulting in a snowball effect in terms of delays. At the same time, the volume of containers transported did not decrease, while imports increased by six percent compared to the same month in 2013. #airtransportinternational #airtransportation #airtransit

Could JFK International Air Freight operations be moving 60 miles upstate?
When you think of what is synonymous with New York City, you probably think of the Statue of Liberty, the Yankees, the Empire State Building and Central Park. If that notion is extended to New York's airports, which are famous for their volume of air cargo and passenger traffic, Kennedy International Airport is sure to be among them. Located just 15 miles from Manhattan, the airport takes an important part in New York City's commerce. From its opening in 1948 until December 24, 1963, when it was named for President John F. Kennedy, the airport was known as Idlewild Airport. As one of the largest air cargo and passenger hubs in the Northeast, the airport handles more than 1.3 million tons of air cargo annually. #airfreight #airfreightlogistics #airfreightservices #airfreightforwarders #airfreighter #airfreightforwarders #airlogistics #airtransport #airtransportinternational #airtransportation #airtransit

IATA Air Cargo projections show global and North American growth
Very optimistic forecasts for global air cargo traffic come to us from a very significant forecast from the International Air Transport Association. IATA data are among the industry's best indicators, and these four-year forecasts, released last week, indicate that the global air cargo recovery is well underway. According to the analysis, there should be 4.1% annual growth through 2018, well above the last three years. As usual, there is a bit of caution in such a confident forecast and a reminder that economic stability can seriously alter such projections. #airfreight #airfreightlogistics #airfreightservices #airfreightforwarders #airfreighter #airfreightforwarders #airlogistics #airtransport #airtransportinternational #airtransportation #airtransit

Boeing projections indicate a healthy future for the air cargo market
This week, the world's largest aircraft manufacturer, Boeing (BA), sounded an extremely optimistic message about the state of the air cargo and air cargo industry, announcing a very positive outlook for the global air cargo market over the next few decades. Boeing announced that according to their data, the global air cargo market could double over the next twenty years, largely due to the continuing need to transport goods by air from Asia to North America. Boeing estimates that carriers will buy about 840 new cargo planes worth $240 billion over those two decades, with an annual global air cargo growth rate of 4.7 percent. #airfreight #airfreightlogistics #airfreightservices #airfreightforwarders #airfreighter #airfreightforwarders #airlogistics #airtransport #airtransportinternational #airtransportation #airtransit
