As always, my gameplay style is very story-driven so I may not be unlocking things as quickly as other players. I prefer to write a good story and explore the sims’ personalities and relationship dynamics first and foremost.

Hello new friend!! Sorry for the delay, this is the second time I'm typing this out because Tumblr ate the first one! Thank you so much for tagging me! (Also, I have no idea how much enthusiasm is appropriate here, so I'm just gonna go for "a bunch" and you can let me know if I need to back off lol)

So! Into the thing!

Last Song: Top of My School by Katherine Lynn-Rose -- This one has had a grip on my spine since I first heard it. Gotta love that kid burnout 👉👉

Favorite Color: Purple! I also love seafoam/mint and like 85% of my stuff is one of those colors. My brother says it makes it easier to buy stuff for me!

Last Movie/Show: I've been watching Dimension 20's Fantasy High and I'm 4-ish episodes into The Seven, which is also in that universe. Cannot recommend it enough! (Also, Persephone Valentine is in it so there's another reason for any girl likers to check it out)

Sweet/Savory/Spicy: oh boy so I've got a ton of sensory stuff that makes food Complicated for me, but if we except all the stuff I can't eat, sweet > savory > spicy. Salty should go between sweet and savory tho imo

Relationship Status: happily coming up on 3 years with my wonderful partners! They both have tumblrs but I'm not gonna tag them for privacy reasons (their preferences). I just refer to them as my boyfriend and my noodle associate, respectively.

Last Thing I Googled: Thorn (letter) -- I needed it for a thing I was writing lmao. Fun fact, I have the long s (this guy: ſ ) saved as a text shortcut in my phone so I can use it to harass my friends

Current Obsession: I've been playing BG3 and Pathfinder: WOTR, but I can feel the Fire Emblem obsession creeping up on me again. I've been working on a couple old fics from 3 houses and some more recent stuff from engage and I can just... Feel it.

Last Book: I'm reading and annotating a memoir for my boyfriend, and I'm reading the Alana the Lioness books by Tamora Pierce for my noodle associate (very important part of their childhood). On my own I'm reading the Federalist Papers because I'm that kind of nerd (and I teach history but thats beside the point)

Looking Forward To: it's about to be AP season at my tutoring job and I'm so freaking jazzed to get to teach my favorite subjects instead of just SAT Reading/Writing all day every day. Like dgmw I love teaching grammar as much as the next language nerd, but I miss talking about the absolutely out of pocket things historical figures got up to.

Hair: Naturally black and curly (3b), but likes to style it often. She has coloured it purple and midnight blue in the series.

Eyes: Dark brown

Birth City: New York.

Race/Ethnicity: Afro-Jamaican and Indo-Jamaican.

Love Interest: Iris Young (formerly Hayden Young)

Trivia:

- Fave colour EVER is purple 💜

- Both she and Nadia are very very protective of the people they love and will fight to defend them. Hazel does find it harder to forgive people than Nadia does tho.

- Fave thing to eat is Eileen's Cheesecakes, esp the strawberry one. She has a fondness for boba tea too, but not as much as Nadia.

- Has a tendency to drape her leg over Iris' when they're sleeping 😄

- Likes to experiment with hair colours, and encouraged Nadia to do it before they left for Berlin

- Astronomically, her fave celestial objects are the moon and the planets, while Sloane and Iris favour certain constellations and stars. The two love to plan a stargazing trip every time a supermoon is meant to show.

- Loves kaleidoscopes

- She never fully forgives Damien for his behaviour towards Iris and Sloane in Berlin. While their relationship gets mended over the years, it never returns to what it was.

- Share Bear is an ironic nickname Nadia gave to Hazel because she isn't very fond of sharing food 😄 and also said bear is purple haha.

Personality: Impulsive - Outgoing - Protective - Sensitive

Education: MFA in Creative Writing from NYU. She did get into advertising soon after but does write often besides that. Some of her creative work has been published in some amazing zines. Later, she encourages Sloane to go back to writing, offering to help edit and give feedback on her work.

Favourite Holiday Destination: Hazel loves beaches, so her ultimate destination is Baía do Sancho in Brazil, and Anse Source d'Argent in Seychelles.

Backstory: Hazel had a pretty ordinary life before Iris came along. A comfortable job in advertising that she was happy with, a cousin she loves immensely, and a huge extended family who have family get-togethers often. Hazel is known to be more eloquent with her words, while Nadia is a far more visual person and her art has taken her places. Hazel's also a huge romantic, which is what intrigued her about Eros in the first place.

Children: Iris and Hazel adopt two adorable girls soon after they get married. The first one is named Violet by Iris, the second one is adopted 2 years later. She is named Lavender, as an affectionate nod to Sloane who loves all things lavender-scented.

Art & Vampires is about Mitchell and Rick, vampires and CEOs of VAMPs - Vintage and Art Marketing Partners. The stories are about the relationship between Mitchell and Amy (Ames), a human. It’s about the vampire world, the supernatural, history, cities around the world, art, antiques and adventures.

I can’t remember when I first noticed her, but when I did, I knew that I wanted to get close to her, get to know her. It was already dark, the first time I talked to her, in that alley. I had been shadowing her for a while before that first encounter. I knew that she would come home from her job at the library. Any minute, she would appear from the subway and make her way home to her apartment. 

I had seen her take a shortcut through the alley a couple of times, saw her hesitate for just a moment, contemplating if what she was about to do was a good idea, before briskly and bravely might I add, making her way home through that dark alleyway. 

I had noticed scum holding up in that alley more and more and I couldn’t help but feel concern over her. I wanted her to be safe, protect her even. Strange, because I didn’t even know her and there were many others who took the same route. I sure didn’t care for them as I cared for this girl, that I didn’t even know. 

That night, the weather was unforgiving. It was cold, the wind was brisk and cold rain was splattering on the pavement. I was watching, waiting for her to appear and there she was. She hurried across the street and paused a moment before disappearing into the alleyway. 

I followed her, but I kept my distance. I had a bad feeling and sensed that something was about to happen. Or maybe it was simply a matter of how many times can this go right before something goes wrong.

Sure enough, the scum was there and I saw them close in on her. She had come to a stop, almost two thirds through.  They blocked her way and she must have known that she was in trouble. She was quickly looking over her shoulder, turned around and started walking back out of the alley, but it was too late. One of those bastards grabbed her arm, spun her around and the others were quick to form a circle around her to block her way out. 

All my senses heightened and the hair in the back of my neck stood up. Some text book horror movie dialogue went on between them and one of them had the nerve to talk about having fun with her. I snapped and rushed forward  in my vampire form, fangs bared and my eyes pitch black.

When that scum saw my face, they were quick to turn around and ran off. She turned around and saw my pitch black eyes. I was afraid that I would scare her off and I cursed myself that I hadn’t turned back to human form in time. But she didn’t move away. She seemed intrigued, rather than scared. Maybe she thought that her mind had played tricks on her, or maybe she was really very brave. We introduced ourselves and that’s when I learned her name. Amy. Not that I stuck to that name for long. Somehow she was always Ames to me. My endearment.  I think I only ever called her Amy when I was angry with her.

That evening, I accompanied her home and I knew that I needed her in my life. I set the things in motion and made it so that she would come work for our company VAMPs and sure enough, my dearest Ames is now part of  my life. My love, who will be by my side forever. Hopefully for eternity.

intimacy, friendship, fate for maeve, riya and meredith!

Intimacy: Is your OC the type of person to engage in long-term relationships, or are they more casual in their intimacy and affection? How do they feel about intimacy and relationships in general?

MAEVE — the thing is that maeve could engage in relationships outside of the long-term, but there would be nothing casual about them given that It's Maeve. any partner of hers is going to be spoiled with affection, attention and goods lmao. 90% chance she's gonna write something about them. i’ve written essays on maeve's feelings on this subject, so to keep it simple: she's in love with love, intimacy is her middle name, she collects relationships like pokemon, and would probably perish like a fish out of water if she was starved of these things.

RIYA — her history has definitely been more casual, there have been one or two people that she'd mess around with sporadically over multiple years, but even then it was just for reliable fun and victor was the first time she entered anything of the Committed type. i don't think she consciously noticed her views on intimacy evolving while with him, but they did and those changes will become more apparent to her now that all she can do is sit with the memories. she'll start to understand there's a difference when it comes to Romantic intimacy and that’s going to be something she misses whenever that it becomes relevant.

MEREDITH — i don’t know if she’d be able to handle a casual relationship. meredith's friendly and relatively open to folk, but if she lets somebody approach anything near intimate then they've been Chosen, y’know. she doesn't want anything fleeting, she needs loyalty and consistency and dedication. she'd sooner take intensity over casualness tbh. she takes comfort in the intimacy that comes from relationships, in knowing someone wants to display affection for her and knows how she'd like to receive it.

Friendship: What's your OC like as a friend? How are they at making new friends? What are the most important friendships in your OC's life?

MAEVE — she's steadily racked up an egregious amount of friends through the years due to her charm and being such a goodie good. that type of person in the group who can go "i know a guy" about nearly anything. i won't give names because all of her friendships are equally valued in her heart (i lied, grey's her most treasured friend 💜). she's kinda the dream friend?? she'll pay for any of your outings, is the kindest shoulder to cry on, is incredibly attentive to your feelings and needs, will bend over backwards to help you whenever necessary no questions asked, etc etc. just don't ask her to help make the holiday dinner the friendship will be ruined just let her host the party

RIYA — the friend who's there to gossip or get petty if you need that energy. happy to include you in her expensive activities because she likes spoiling people close to her. always ready to throw down for you even if you don't necessarily ask for it. riya's either very good or very bad at making friends and that depends on the type of crowd she's in, because uh. she's not everybody's cup of tea. her most important friendships are those with her family members, and now the warden squad for obvious reasons.

MEREDITH — she’ll go on whole ass quests for her friends, feels like that explains a good deal itself. everybody needs that one friend who will defend you in encounters, go to the ends of the earth for you at a moment's notice, and be unafraid to call you out on some nonsense you're pulling lmao. she's superb at making friends, that charisma and insight will take her a long way if she's not speaking to a baddie (derogatory). alistair, nathaniel, leliana and teagan are her most important friendships probs.

Fate: Does your OC believe in destined meetings? True love, soulmates, hearing the bells? Have they ever experienced this?

MAEVE — cannot be stated enough how deeply she believes in it all lmao true love's kiss being magic, people finding each other through fate, having multiple soulmates, you name any sappy trope and she's a believer in it. of course she's experienced these things because maeve's living a fairy tale 90% of the time and it's what she deserves. anything with ilya is the prime example but she's been given multiple soulmate related things bc i myself (and other enablers) like to spoil her 🥰

RIYA — she for sure believes in those things just because she believes in destiny overall. umm. i don't think there's any like #canonevent that has occurred with fated moments so far that,,,but if you think about it,,,,if you squint. kinda wild how riya ended up in the company of a supportive dreamer mage 🤔 exactly when she needed that kind of aid 🤔🤔 kinda sussy. (she’s gonna find a reason to think so many things are destined, people are gonna hate it)

MEREDITH — she’s more of a butterfly effect kind of lady, i think. actions have reactions and consequences that all lead somewhere in the end. it wasn’t destiny that had her marching around ferelden during the blight, it was just highever being the first domino to fall. true love tho, that she can get behind. you don't have to be written in the stars to find somebody who will become your other half with plenty of trust, time and effort.

It’s 2am I can’t sleep because my throat keeps making a wheezing sound when I breath that’s irritating tf outta me due to the throat infection and cough syrup/drinking water/coughing isn’t help.

So it’s sad Alana o’clock because I’m now sitting thinking about all my mutuals that I love that have went inactive and the ones that changed blogs and never followed again and damn; I miss them? Everyone I write with I adore and I’m just a sad trash panda.

Okay so I think I'm the first person to tear down my own writing so this was actually.... really hard? I think I'm probably one of the people who is super tough on themselves when it comes to the work I've published! So, this is what I came up with:

1. Rewind | Bobby x OC

My first fully completed long fic. Just finished it and honestly feel sad that I had to say goodbye to my oc, Zephyr. She's honestly one of my favorite OCs ever and I just don't know if anyone will ever live up to her. She's super funny and a complete diva.

2. Mon Amour | Youcef x OC

I wrote this because I was just super, super unimpressed with Youcef's route. I wrote it because I just wanted to see what his full route would have looked like had MC been able to be with him from the start. Giovanna has definitely won the jackpot here with sweet Youcef. A lot of cute banter is what I'd say you read this for but you can also laugh at my attempt at smut if you want.

3. Jurassic Island | ??? x OC

Honestly I haven't worked in this one in a hot minute because it's a side project that I only write when I'm able to. This is probably the best I've ever written. It's a Jurassic Park crossover and it's got everything you could ever want: Girlboss OC? Ian Malcolm Youcef? Dr. Lucas Koh brooding in the corner? Did you ask for Gary carrying a bunch of tranquilizer guns over his shoulder? TW: Character deaths though. I have no idea when the next update is but it's swirling around in my head.

4. Someone Better Suited | "Dylan" x OC

So this was kind of meant to make Dylan into an anti-hero, which I really had fun with. Dylan isn't actually the Dylan we know in the game in this fic. Instead, this kind of just makes us wonder what could have happened had we found out the producers sent in an actor to make drama? Dallas is sweet but has a hard time navigating through grey area as he finds himself falling for Alana, the OC.

5. The Other Side | James x OC

I don't like James romantically at all but you can really relate to him here. He's awkward, but he's charming. He's clumsy, but he's also confident in his abilities. He's really the James we deserved to know in the game. This one might be my favorite published currently to be honest. Well, until Lexi makes her debut!

Adding this one but only because it isn't published. It might honestly be my most favorite thing ever. It's the most intricate and devious fic I've ever taken on but I'm really excited. Shameless plug here that a teaser for Lexi, Youcef and Tom have been posted :)

"You'll find your BMW soon. I found mine a year ago!" she kisses Isaac on the cheek. That's when she realized she recognized! Maybe it took her so long because she had clothes on, unlike the nudes she sent him six months ago.

"Oh no honey! I'm aiming for a Bugatti Chiron this time! Anyway, nice to see and meet you both, but I have work to get back to! Good luck with the wedding!" she says as she moves passed them and back to her office smiling smugly.

Dear Evan Hansen!!

The first character I first fell in love with: Believe it or not, as much as I love Connor, I fell in love with Evan first because I could relate to how he felt

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Oh, that’s tough… I guess maybe Jared. Only because I hated him when I first got into the fandom and had nothing but the canon material to go by. But after all the character analysis and fanon fanfics I’ve read, I definitely understand him better and kinda relate to him

The character everyone else loves that I don’t: I feel like the answer here is ALSO Jared. Because while I have a new appreciation for him and enjoy writing him, he’s still my least favorite character, if that makes sense.

The character I love that everyone else hates: Maybe Evan? I feel like a lot of people hate him for “manipulating” the Murphy’s, lying and inserting himself into their grief. But there’s way more to it than that, and some people just don’t care to look into him beyond what they see in canon

The character I used to love but don’t any longer: I still love all the characters I originally loved so

The character I would totally smooch: Connor 🙃 No contest, haha

The character I’d want to be like: Alana, for sure. She’s so focused and driven and she’s great at pretending she’s okay. She’s obviously not, she’s hurting, too. But I wish I could fake it as well as she can.

The character I’d slap: In canon, def Larry. Or Jared. Maybe both 😂

A pairing that I love: We all know the answer to that 😂 my OTP will always be TreeBros

A pairing that I despise: This is hard because y’all know how I multi-ship. I’m even hesitant to pick one I don’t like because I don’t like ship shaming, but if I had to pick one… maybe Jared and Alana. I just don’t see them together.

I would say Ellie from A&E 💜 I have put her through so much crap, but she still standing 🤣 Alana a close second because she's as blunt as hell 😈

The characters from the shows they are from I guess. I wonder how it would go if certain scenarios were added or played out differently 💜

📒any fics planned?

Nope, I have 3 on the go atm, one of which will be ending soon. Also ATY on hiatus hoping to get back into writing for that 💜
