Crystal Warnings
Threats to Earth are not news to the Justice League. Neither is the fact that a threat is "too powerful" for them, what is new is that the U.S. government wants to provide them with help, since when have they ever wanted that?
It is a novelty that does not sit very well with Bruce, because he feels that there is something wrong with the situation. They had faced thousands of dangers but it is only now that they are offering something? Definitely suspicious.
However Clark's curiosity was only outweighed by Barry's desperation to find a solution so he agreed to listen to what the "GIW" had to say.
Apparently their current threat was very much connected to them, which Bruce was not surprised by, what did surprise him was that the threat was less of a threat and more of a warning of sorts. As usual, people had played with things they shouldn't, causing catastrophic results.
The organization that contacted them had some sort of crystal, they flatly refused to say where it came from but explained that it was very important to beings from another dimension, and they were trying to contain the threat but found it impossible.
What Bruce got out of that conversation was that the organization had greatly disturbed a civilization full of unknown beings for the sheer joy of it. And that their current enemy was nothing more than a being desperate to retrieve whatever the crystal was.
Clark, of course, asked them for the crystal, to which they seemed very reluctant but in the end agreed. And Bruce set about contacting Diana, because he was sure they needed a diplomatic intervention rather than an actual battle.
It became clear that the crystal was extremely important when the giant eldritch menace transformed into a desperate teenage girl the moment the crystal appeared in her field of vision. That was even more evident when hundreds of portals began to form around the place, different creatures scowled at the humans.
Bruce vowed never to place his trust in organizations outside the League and its allies again. He swore doubly so when the crystal stopped being a crystal and transformed into a groggy, sleepy teenager mid-conversation.
There really was a hell of paperwork ahead. But at least the world was saved from human stupidity, again.

Okay but I need raising a baby with John B 🥺🥺
*screaming in softness*
Little baby Eloise wasn’t an accident, you’d explained to your friends and family and judgemental peers.  She was just... a happy surprise.
Maybe you and John B hadn’t planned on having a baby- hell, you hadn't even really made a plan for your futures together, you’d been dating since high school and in your head you were going to be those high school sweethearts that got married and lived happily ever after- and maybe you skipped a few steps along the way, but the day you found out you were pregnant, there wasn’t a doubt in either of your minds that this is what you wanted.
And after having Eloise, your little family became your whole lives.
Your friday nights partying turned into Disney movie marathons, and your aimless walks around the island looking for entertainment became ten times better when you got to watch John B carry your little girl on his shoulders.
Not to mention your group of friends loved Eloise.  They were always trying to steal her away to babysit, each trying to gain her affections and become the ‘favorite’ aunt or uncle.  Unknowingly, Eloise adored all of them with her entire tiny heart.
The group of you were on the beach today, and while Sarah and Kiara were teaching the three year old how to build a sand castle, and Pope and JJ were looking for seashells, you and John B sat back and just watched the adorable scene.
“Have I told you how much I love her?” You asked, resting your head against his shoulder.
“Yeah, you tell everyone all the time,” John B chuckled.  “It’d be nice to know how you felt about me once in a while” He added in a tease.
You looked up at him, pretending to contemplate as your eyes looked him over.
“You’re alright” You finally answered, shrugged your shoulder.
“Alright?” John B repeated.  “I was kinda hoping for love of your life, I woulda settled for hunk even”
You grinned back at him, nodding your head.
“Yeah, I mean, you’re cool I guess.  You’re kinda cute, your hair’s weird though”
“Oh really?” He laughed at her.  “Wow, and to think I wanted to settle down with you.  Buy a house on the Figure Eight.  Put a baby in you-”
“Oh my god, John B don’t say it like that,” You giggled, swatting at his arm.  “But really? You wanna live on the Figure Eight?”
“Yeah, it’d be the perfect place to raise Ellie, don’t you think?”
You thought about it, and you understood the logic.  The neighborhoods were nicer, despite being filled with bitchy Karens and their lame husbands, but just because the houses were nice didn’t mean it was the right place for them.
“Not really,” You said honestly.  “I think we’re doing just fine here, yeah?”
You glanced over to where your daughter was taking the seashells from her uncles and decorating the sandcastle.
“I mean, we can walk to the beach at any time, she’s got all this space to play, not to mention we can afford living here,” You listed, giggling when JJ and Sarah got into a mini fight about who got to place the finishing touch on the sand castle.  “And... our family’s here”
John B grinned at you, pulling you back into his side and kissing the side of your head.
“I love you”
“I love you too, mop head”
“I wanna marry you”
You shot back up again, turning to him abruptly.
“Really?” You asked, your eyes flickering wildly between his.  “Don’t say shit like that if you don’t mean it-”
“Yeah, of course I mean it,” John B cut you off before you could get ahead of yourself.  “But that wasn’t a proposal.  It still has to be a surprise, babe”
“But we’re gonna get married?” You asked him, already way too excited.
“Maybe” He teased, shrugging a shoulder.
“Mama look!”
Eloise’s screech drew the couple’s attention back to her, and (y/n) eagerly got up to go see her daughter’s little creation.
“Oh sweetheart, it’s beautiful!” You praised, lifting her up in your arms and spinning her around.
“Yeah, thanks to me” JJ grumbled.
“I wanna kick it down!” Eloise squealed, wiggling out of your grip so that she could play Godzilla and attack the sand castle that everyone just spent the last fifteen minutes perfecting.
Sarah and JJ just about burst into tears watching the little girl destroy it back into a pile of sand and shells.
John B had walked up to the scene, watching with great amusement as his little girl throw herself into the sand.
“Can’t believe that’s all ours,” He hummed, draping his arm around your shoulders.  “You’re right, we should stay here” He told you.
“Yeah, and then we can use the money we save from living on The Cut on a honeymoon” You replied, a bit to casually.
Because suddenly there were four pairs of eyes glued on you, each of your friends wearing shocked expressions.
“You’re gonna get married!?”

Prompt #5
Prompt #5: Write about the most tragic breakup scene ever.
They stood there in silence, both too afraid to break the only sense of calm they’ve had together in weeks. All that could be heard was the autumn breeze brushing against their sweaters, shifting the dead leaves on the ground, and making the rusted swing squeak beside them.
Elizabeth looked up at him, she wanted him to see the tears building up in her usually bright, joy-filled eyes; she wanted Mason to recognize the effect of his actions, how much damage he had really caused. She finally found her voice, no matter how shattered it sounded.
Her voice broke as she tentatively whispered out, “Why?”
It had been the question swimming in her thoughts, keeping her up at night for weeks. Why, how could he do this? As the silence dragged on, his refusal to answer made her sadness morph into anger. Maybe, maybe he didn’t answer because he genuinely didn’t have a reason.
“4 years of my life were just thrown away, and you can’t even respect me enough to answer why?!”
“I don’t know!” His voice rung out, scratchy from the lack of use.
“You don’t know? You don’t know why you slept with her, or you don’t know why you lied to me about it?”
“I don’t know okay? I just… It just happened, and I didn’t know how to break it off.” He looked down at his feet, shuffling them to distract himself from her heated, enraged gaze.
“Wait, how long was this going on for Mason?”
His head shot up in shock, he thought she knew. He debated not telling her, but he knew that would only make it worse.
“It… I’m not sure exactly. I think it’s only been a couple months. But I swear, it didn’t mean anything!”
“Months?! So, all of those excuses, every time you canceled on me or left me waiting for hours, was because of her?” Elizabeth’s eyes widened in shock, then in realization. “That day, the day we promised to meet here for our first date in weeks, you were with her?” Her voice grew soft again. She didn’t want to know this, she didn’t want to know that the man she has been in love with for 6 years, and together for 4, cheated on her, and forgot about her because of someone else.
“It was an accident, I didn’t mean-” She cut him off, furious at the sound of his voice, his excuses.
“I waited in the rain for you! I waited and I sat right here, for two hours, in the freezing cold. I didn’t leave because I couldn’t get ahold of you, and I was afraid you would come after I left and would wait for me.”
Elizabeth laughed, out of pure shock, her laugh was layered with the anguish, the agony she felt. She angrily wiped the tears freezing against her cheeks.
“And to think, while I was here all alone, you were in bed with another girl.”
Mason winced, he hated seeing her like this. He hated knowing that he caused the girl he loves to suffer this much.
She couldn’t handle it anymore; it was too much. The lump that had formed in her throat, had spread to her chest, making her feel as though she couldn’t breathe. She had to get away from him. Elizabeth turned and went to walk away, but Mason grabbed her wrist, desperately trying to hold onto the relationship he destroyed.
“Wait, please! I’m sorry Ellie! I just… I love you.” Her head whipped around; eyes wide with disbelief.
“You love me?” Her voice mirrored just how completely absurd she thought he sounded. She ripped her wrist from his clammy grasp.
“Where was your love when you were fucking that girl?! Where was your love when I was crying alone because I just walked in on my boyfriend with another girl in our apartment?!”
Mason went to say something, anything to get her back. But she didn’t let him, she didn’t want to hear another excuse, another lie.
“You can keep your love Mason.” She took in the sight of the man she loved, the man she thought she would marry and start a family with. Elizabeth looked at him, his shoulders shaking from his sobs, his beautiful freckle-covered face covered with tears, and she no longer saw the man she loved. She saw a weak coward, afraid to lose something he never truly cherished.
“Goodbye Mason.”
