@loveyouhomex tagged me, thank you ♥
What colour are your eyes? blue
What instantly tells you if a person is good? this is probably way too deep, but when i started typing out "there's no way to spot that immediately" and thought about an explanation, like, there's stuff hidden away........... no, it's even more than that. nobody's really good, everyone has their bad parts. you just need to find out if you can deal with these parts - for example, i noticed this because often, i can't stand ''''''nice''''' people because they can be really pretentious.
Do you have a recurring dream? not really
What is the most interesting class you have taken? i started a course on molecular cooking once, it was really neat until they started to talk about chemistry which i know nothing about
How often do you find yourself day dreaming? all the time, basically

I got an idea for a Fatgum/Reader prompts (since he kinda underrated and I haven’t seen this idea used yet-).
How about one where Y/N is a petty criminal who is stopped by Fatgum but he still treats Y/N more kindly than others have to them and ends up motivating Y/N to choose a different path? Mayhaps a reunion after the incident, you’re choice 👉👈
From Cindy: Finding a way to do this request was interesting. I recruited my sister to brainstorm some ideas of how to make it flow properly and I think it turned out pretty good! I hope you think so too Anon!
Sunglasses (Fat Gum x Petty Thief! Reader)
Walking around the crowded streets of Osaka, you really should’ve felt more in your element. The huge outdoor market only opened a few times a year and you’d been looking forward to this day for weeks now. There were literally hundreds of stalls lined up in rows selling anything from homegrown vegetables, to handmade jewelry and clothing, to newly developed household gadgets and machines. Almost anything you could think of was sitting out in the open and ripe for the taking. All you had to do was stay casual as you walked by and swiped whatever you felt like right off the display tables. It was too easy. And maybe that was the problem. Having all the people and chaos going on around you just took all the fun out of it.
“Hey there!” One of the merchants smiles after making eye contact with you and beckons you over. “Could I interest you in new pair of sunglasses? We’re selling them at 40% off just for today!”
You pick a pair up off the table with one hand, looking it over to make sure they were really the name brand sunglasses they were being advertised as. It didn’t even really matter though if they were the real deal. 40% off was a great bargain if it was the genuine product, but 100% off was even better. The merchant watched your face closely as you examined the sunglasses, rambling on about the great selling points and completely unaware of your other hand sliding a second pair off the table and tucking them into your pocket.
“You know, these are really nice.” You admit while handing the first pair back to the man, “Unfortunately, I’m going to have to pass this time.”
“Fair enough,” the man nods, “if you change your mind you know where to find me!”
“Sure do!” you reply with a smile before turning and mixing back into the crowd. A few seconds later you let out an amused laugh while pulling the sunglasses out of your pocket and sliding them onto your face. Sometimes it still shocked you that you could pull stuff like that off right in front of people’s faces. You start looking around again and a food tent at the end of the road catches your eye. You walk inside over to the rack of freshly made containers filled with delicious smelling foods, wondering which one you should take. The older couple in charge were too busy rushing around to notice you as they tried to keep up with the amount of people coming in and out of their tent. You pick up a box filled with yakisoba noodles, tuck it under your arm and turn to walk away. You almost make it back onto the street when you feel the weight of a large hand on your shoulder. Glancing back, your heart drops into your stomach when you meet the eyes of a very large pro hero. “F-fat Gum?”
The man towered over you, and despite the friendly grin on his face, you couldn’t help but panic a bit. If he’d seen what you’d done, you weren’t sure what to do. Your brain started coming up with excuses about being so hungry you forgot to pay. It would be an easy fix to go back and get in line.
“Call me Taishiro!” the giant man chuckles, “Nice sunglasses, by the way.”
“Thanks,” you keep eye contact with him even though you were sure you were in trouble if he’d seen you take the sunglasses. You’d never been caught before, but you knew the punishment you’d be facing. You’d definitely have to pay a hefty fine for shoplifting, not to mention jail time if this guy wanted to be a jerk about it. It would go on your record and you’d probably lose your job.
“You forgot chopsticks,” his eyes slide down to the steaming container in your hands before gently leading you over to the line at the front counter. The elderly lady lights up when she sees the hero.
“Oh! Tai-kun! I wasn’t expecting to see you today! Do you want your usual?” She was already grabbing a box of takoyaki that had just come off the burner.
“Of course!” Fat Gum beams while fishing a wallet out from the inside the iconic hoodie he wore while doing hero work. “And my friend here is getting this yakisoba too.” He hands over some money and the lady quickly gets his change. When she comes back she winks and passes two big chocolate chip cookies over to the both of you with the chopsticks and napkins.
“On the house,” she covers her smile with a hand.
“That’s so sweet, thank you!” Fat Gum bows his head, “See you again soon! Take care!” Fat Gum’s hand finds your shoulder again and he leads you back out on the street. You look up at him, feeling confused and speechless. Were you in trouble or not? He obviously knew you’d taken the noodles since he ended up paying for them in the end. “That woman and her husband own a shop on my usual patrol route. I always stop there when I need a quick snack.”
“So?” You ask and the hero just shrugs, his expression finally turning serious.
“Maybe you can think of them the next time you feel like getting sticky fingers,” he points to the sunglasses that were still covering your eyes before smiling again. “Well, anyway, I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!” He gives you a wave before going back to strolling through the crowd, occasionally popping a hot takoyaki into his mouth.
You stand outside the food tent for a moment, trying to process what had just happened. You look down at the box of noodles and the cookie which were still warm in your hand. For some reason, Fat Gum had really let you go with barely even a warning. A sigh of relief escapes your lips. That could’ve been way worse. As you look for a place to sit and eat your noodles, you reflect on the hero’s kindness. You honestly couldn’t say why you’d chosen to try and steal noodles from an old couple anyway. It was ridiculous now that you thought about it. Admittedly, stealing the sunglasses was kind of pointless too. It wasn’t like you didn’t have sunglasses already.
Your thoughts led from one to the other until you started wondering how you’d ever gotten into the habit of committing petty thievery to begin with. Most of the time, the things you stole weren’t things you actually needed or even wanted. Was it just boredom? Did you just do it for the thrill? Truthfully, the answer was a mystery even to you. Perhaps there was a better way to channel those urges though. After all, the next time you got caught, the hero might not be so forgiving. You finish your food, savoring the taste of the free homemade cookie before leaving the market and heading home.
A few weeks later, you find yourself taking a trip into the city where Fat Gum usually did his patrols. You weren’t even really sure why you decided to go, but you felt a nervous excitement when you caught sight of the giant hero walking down the sidewalk on the opposite side of the street as you. Before you could stop yourself, you were jogging across the street and waving to him.
“Fat Gum!” He looked over at the sound of his name, a smile already on his face. “Uh, hey, you might not remember me…”
“Sunglasses!” He chuckles before crossing his arms and tilting his head, “I thought I told you to call me Taishiro though.”
“Right,” you laugh awkwardly.
“To what do I owe the pleasure of meeting you again so soon?” He asks, not a trace of judgement in his voice from what had happened last time.
“I just… never got the chance to thank you for the noodles,” you tell him lamely. “Or tell you my name.” You mumble your name and Fat Gum takes your hand into his and gives it a shake.
“Nice to meet you again!” He says pleasantly and an idea suddenly pops into your head.
“By any chance, is now a good time to stop for a snack?” You ask, hoping that you don’t sound crazy. “My treat this time.”
“That sounds great,” he agrees to the offer without a hint of hesitation. “We can visit my friend’s shop if you’d like. It’s just a couple blocks away.” You nod eagerly and skip after him when he starts to lead the way. You were excited to show the hero that it hadn’t been a mistake to give you a second chance. In fact, the thought of spending more time with him gave you more of a rush than any stolen good ever had.

I’ll Be Home for Christmas
A Secret Santa exchange in which I wrote a small fic (1.2k) for my giftee, Rin!
I decided to write a little RinPana one-shot for them. It’s honestly one of the cutest and purest ships I know.
Here you are, below the cut. Happy Holidays! Sorry that it’s a little late.
                                                           -----
“Rin-chan! You forgot your lunchbox,” Hanayo exclaimed as she ran to catch up with the energetic ginger as she ran out the door, hair still uncombed, a piece of toast in her mouth, dress shirt not completely tucked into her pants, hastily pulling her arms through the sleeves of her black blazer.
“Kayo-chin?! Oh!” Rin takes the carefully packed lunchbox, tied up with a cute white cloth that has orange paw prints on it. “Thank you,” she kisses her wife on the cheek lightly as a parting gesture before setting off again.
Flushed with red, the brunette stumbles back into the house and puts a hand to her cheek.
“Oh, Rin-chan…”
It’d been only three months since they got married. She was still feeling the effects of being newlyweds—or rather, she thought it’d be the way they’d always be. It was the way they were before their marriage, too, aside from when they were both high school students and only mostly engaged in friendly and easygoing interactions, even though their feelings for each other ran much deeper than that of simple friends.
She pulled herself away from the entrance of the house and walked to the kitchen, rolling up her sleeves. It was time to get to work. The forty rice balls, six bowls of ramen, Christmas cookies and cake wouldn’t make themselves, after all.
A day’s work went by, and the rice balls sat safely in the fridge, the ramen stock was prepared with fresh noodles and toppings to be cooked when Rin came home, and the Christmas cookies and cake sat on the counter, ready to be eaten. She’d put out the placemats and lit the candles in preparation. It was still a little early, but the candles were always nice to look at, at least. The nice tablecloth had been put out, too. The phone rang, and Hanayo dashed to pick it up. Hopefully, Rin would be coming home early for dinner, she thought to herself wishfully, and she put the phone to her ear.
“Hello?”
“Kayo-chin! I’m so sorry,” Rin said agitatedly, “I don’t think I’ll make it back in time for dinner… Don’t wait for me and eat first, okay? I’ll be back before midnight.”
“You…you will?” Hanayo tried to keep the disappointment out of her voice. “Do you know what time you’ll be back?”
“I…Sorry, my boss is calling me! I promise I’ll be home for Christmas,” Rin says in a rush, and then Hanayo heard the dial tone. Rin had hung up. She was still at work, after all. Hanayo tried not to let herself feel too down. It was Christmas, after all, and Rin said she’d be home, if not soon. The brunette lightly slapped her cheeks in an effort to cheer up and decided to eat a rice ball while she waited for Rin to come home. Or two. Or a few.
She didn’t end up eating all forty rice balls, but she did eat a good amount. The refrigerator was still plentiful with them, though. She sighed and glanced at the clock. It was 8pm. Hanayo washed her plate and put it away. She longingly glanced at the clock a second time. Barely five minutes had passed by.
Hanayo sat on the couch and twiddled her thumbs. It was already 10:30pm, and still no signs of Rin, nor a phone call. She stared at the Christmas decorations and felt herself getting sleepy. Surely, closing her eyes for a short moment wouldn’t hurt, she thought to herself, and she laid down on the couch for a momentary rest.
Rin burst in the door an hour later and was about to shout “Kayo-chin!” and pounce on her lovely wife like she usually would after coming home from work. But her lovely wife was resting peacefully on the couch, and Rin couldn’t bear to wake her up. Instead, she squatted beside Hanayo and brushed a piece of hair from the peacefully snoozing girl. Hanayo looked pretty even when asleep, Rin thought to herself and softly smiled.
Rin leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on Hanayo’s forehead, petting her wife’s head lovingly.
“Merry Christmas, Kayo-chin…”
She stood and draped a fluffy green blanket over Hanayo before walking over to the kitchen. She was starving after working overtime, and the stale energy bars had done nothing to still her rumbling tummy.
Rin opened the refrigerator and almost immediately, a rice ball began to roll out, and soon enough, she was catching and juggling multiple of them and trying to keep them from falling on the floor. Just how many had Hanayo made, anyway? Rin wasn’t surprised, though, to say the least. She chuckled to herself before piling all but one back into the fridge, and then saw a container labeled, “Rin-chan!” The gold-eyed girl took out the container, with separated sections for the ramen noodles and the soup. Her eyes shone with excitement, and she rushed to cook the materials. Hanayo’s ramen stock was the best, and the handmade noodles she made were also top-notch. But most of all, she was happy she could finally have Hanayo’s home cooking.
Rin slurped up the noodle and was enveloped in bliss.
“Rin-chan?”
She almost dropped her chopsticks in surprise and then saw that Hanayo had awakened and was sitting on the couch now.
“Kayo-chin!”
She put down her food and hurried to Hanayo’s side, hugging her wife happily.
“Rin-chan, why didn’t you wake me up? I was waiting for you, you know…” Hanayo said, and Rin could detect a slight pout in her voice.
“You seemed to be sleeping really well,” Rin replied, and stroked Hanayo’s head. “I’m so sorry I came back home so late! My boss kept telling me there was more work to do and that it had to be done tonight…”
Hanayo smiled, slightly exasperated—but Rin could tell it wasn’t aimed at herself.
“Don’t worry, it’s not your fault! But honestly, the nerve of your boss,” Hanayo sulked. “At least you’re home now. Did you eat yet?”
“I was just eating!” Rin kissed Hanayo, who blushed.
“Alright then, go eat. You must be hungry,” Hanayo exclaimed, standing and going to the fridge. She took out a riceball and sat down at the table with Rin, who was again ravenously eating. Hanayo’s cooking was always delicious, but Rin was so hungry that it tasted even more heavenly than usual.
At the end of the meal, they shared cake and cookies and enjoyed each other’s company. Precious little moments like this weren’t exactly scarce, as they’d carved out a little piece of themselves and of home in each part of their lives to carry themselves forward, but they definitely were not abundant.
“Kayo-chin,” Rin said, slightly drunk off her happiness after finally being able to relax in the company of the girl she loved most. She embraced Hanayo on the couch, her arms wrapped around her wife.
“Rin-chan?” Hanayo questioned, also slightly drunk off joy after her beloved had returned home. She leaned into Rin’s hold, smiling.
“I love you,” Rin said. “You know that, right?”
Hanayo giggled, and warmth spread through her chest.
“I know. I love you, Rin-chan. You know, too, right?”
“Of course,” Rin replied. “Told you I’d be home for Christmas,” she says and plops her head on Hanayo’s shoulder.
“Of course,” Hanayo laughed. “I never thought otherwise.”
The merry couple ate and drank their fill of both the delightful food and of each other before sending themselves to bed. There never was such a pair of lovers who cherished each other more.

December 13, 2020
This week has been really restful. Austin and I celebrated 3 years of being married -- it almost feels strange because it feels like we’ve been married for over 5 years, at least! But at the same time it only feels like we just had our wedding a year ago.
To celebrate, we went to Seattle for 5 days! We felt like it was safe enough to at least drive despite the pandemic -- we were just prepared to stay in a little bit more than usual and order takeout. It was all still so special though. Also, the day before we left, Austin surprised me with a floral arrangement by our wedding florist, and it made me cry!
We road tripped up -- I can’t remember what but something or a series of things irritated me and started the first moments of the trip frustrated, but like always, Austin gives me time to cool down and we usually come to apologize to each other within 10 minutes and forgive each other. I love that he knows that I need that space to cool off -- I realize I came from a home environment where if things got heated, there would be no space for cooling off. Just bickering and constant yelling and punishment. I’m thankful Austin doesn’t punish me for feeling frustrated. Anyway...
We arrived to Seattle with no traffic! Which was actually kind of magical. The hotel we stayed was at the very cut off of where downtown Seattle gets a little sketch -- we tried not to mind it too much, as we’re trying our best not to internally dehumanize houseless folks, but we still stayed cautious around us. The hotel itself was nice, though! We had a beautiful view of the city and the room was spacious and cozy, with lots of natural light. I loved being in there.
When we settled in, we decided to try something nearby and just go back to the room to eat. The receptionist recommended an Irish pub across the street -- we went, got food from a really friendly waiter, and we were surprised at how much we liked the food! It came with a mini chowder that was amazing, too.
The second day, we walked around downtown. Had Elm Coffee (reallllyyy good cappuccino). Went to Pike Place Market, which was entirely EMPTY! So wild! The gum wall was empty (it had also been recently cleared off, so not as much gum as before), the streets had no traffic. It was kind of perfect for us, tbh. Then we had chowder at Pike Place Chowder! Literally the food highlight -- the market choice chowder is my favorite. Thankfully they had outdoor and balcony seating, so we went up and when we started eating, the sun came out! So fun. Starbucks Reserve (the influencer lol), a cute shop to pick up a Dumpling pin for Nina, and then went home to relax. Walked around HMart, found a beautiful architectural building, too. And then... Got BONCHON takeout!!
The next day, we tried going to Elm Coffee again but the location was closed. So we went across the street to Evoke Espresso! It was SO good and they served Heart and had a cute lil shop dog. Then went to Discovery Park, which was funny because it was the park we had gone to with Mitzi and Tony long ago -- we ended up not hiking there because we just didn’t expect it to be a longer hike, but we did go to Gasworks Park and walked around. It was rainy, but it was relaxing just walking around. OH, we also went to Kerry Park for the famous view of Seattle... But we drove into the heavy fog, and at the viewpoint you couldn’t see anything! It was pretty funny, actually. Then we went to Uwajimaya, got some Fruits Basket stuff and snacks, the AoT manga about Levi, and grabbed spam musubi, spicy noodles and chicken katsu from a spot in the asian market (this was lunch and dinner!). We stayed up and played games and watched cable tv -- then at midnight we exchanged gifts!
The gifts were special. I got him a compilation of gifts that reflected our 3rd year of marriage together -- Animal Crossing box, Animal Crossing handmade card, Flareon AirPods case, Crash Landing on You/Captain Ri mug, Damian Lillard Pokemon card, and a Cleaning Levi pin! I felt really proud of it!! Austin got me the flowers previously (which we brought to the hotel room, too) and then got a beautiful printed frame of one of our favorite wedding photos! It was so sweet.
The last full day, we went to Hood Famous Bakery, a Filipino-owned shop that celebrated filipino culture and flavors. It was really special! And SO good. I got an Ube latte, Austin got the Pandan latte, and also Ube cookies! On our way to the Selfie Museum we also sat at that same architectural building to drink our drinks and eat the cookies. It was fun and relaxing, despite being a little cold. Then the selfie museum! So random! But so fun to walk around to all of the sets. There was a space/light room that was just too cool. Then we got a small serving of chowder again from the same place, and then had Korean hotdogs for dinner!!
The next morning we packed up and got ready to leave, but before then we stopped by Hood Famous once more to pick up a Miir mug that had a scenery view of Philippine rice fields. I felt like I couldn’t leave without it! Then we went to Uwajimaya again to grab more Fruits Basket merchandise, then some spam musubi for breakfast on the road!
Unfortunately I got intense cramps like halfway through the road trip, so that was a bummer to end the trip on that note, but Austin was nice enough to drop me off at home on his way down to Oregon City to pick up Millie. It was an inconvenience but he didn’t complain about it, which is really sweet. He just wanted me to rest. I love him!
Austin pinched a nerve in his neck the next day, so we decided to stay home and rest all day. Yesterday we visited The Great North’s new location in Vancouver, and we bumped into so many people while we were there, it was so sweet and fun. Then walked around Target to do some Christmas shopping, and we picked up a new game for ourselves!
All in all, it’s been a restful week. I’m sad it ends tomorrow when we go back to work, but I’m also excited to not have a looming doom of photos on my list! Thankful for 3 fun and beautiful years of marriage and am excited to see what the next year grows within us.
