#anyway if you want to watch a sports anime that does the Healthy Ambition and the Friendship Thing in the most wholesome way possible

i want to hear the sports anime manifesto
Tumblr media
Okay short version:
My life was a sports anime for a bit, and watching sports anime makes me nostalgic for those days.
Medium version:
The typical shonen sports anime deals with themes of camaraderie, ambition, and the intersections of camaraderie and ambition, which ALWAYS hits me right in the chest.
I'm not an ambitious person by nature, but--you know that one poem floating around on here, the one about the moth that wants nothing more than to fly into the flame, and how it would be nice to feel that kind of all consuming passion? Yeah, that's the feeling I get from sports anime.
And often, for the Team Sports anime, you'll get characters who have nothing in common except that they Love the Same Thing--a friendship/rivalry/(romance) formed on the basis of a shared interest. That's sweet as hell!
And they're super predictable and low stress for me. Very easy to watch! Total popcorn shows. Also I like listening to people infodump about their passions. Someone loved their Sport so much they wrote a whole-ass story about it, so yeah, eat that shit up.
Long version:
The Socioeconomic Inequalities of High School Sports
In high school, I was on a crappy underfunded soccer team (with a healthy dose of sexism) and due to [sports league division reasons] the schools we played against were almost exclusively private schools.
I cannot describe how existential it is to be wearing a hand-me-down formerly white-turned-disgusting-gray uniform that's at least five years old when playing against a team that gets brand new windbreakers every season.
(If you've read AAB, YES this is where my obsession with the windbreakers comes from.)
(Hilariously, the guys team got windbreakers but we didn't.)
(I am not over the fucking windbreakers.)
But anyway, when you're constantly losing to private schools you get this fucking complex about it.
This should come as no surprise but like. People with the time and resources to practice their Thing get good at their Thing.
Playing pick up soccer at the park is practice. Playing rec league soccer is organized, repeated practice.
Playing competitive club soccer is all of that, plus a coach who knows How To Coach and What The Sport Is, plus you get morale-boosting uniforms and the chance to play with and against other skilled players. So you're exposed to a lot more, and thus, you learn a lot more.
Competitive club soccer is also Expensive. Rich kids get good.
There's a reason why the "Powerhouse School" is a thing in sports anime, because it's a thing in real life. People with leisure time and money get to invest in their sports development, and everyone else gets left behind in the dust. It's basically a microcosm of capitalism.
The underdog sports story is (quite tragically) bootstraps propaganda. All you have to do is be really good and work really hard and have A LOT OF PASSION to get good at your sport! The cream rises to the top! This is a meritocracy! Let's ignore all the other factors that go into an individual's development as an athlete!
(My brother got scouted for club soccer as a kid. He actually went to tryouts and got offered a spot and a scholarship and everything, but there's SO many hidden fees after the initial registration. Uniforms, equipment, travel and accommodation, tournaments, plus like, the time sink, so we never signed him up. And equipment-wise, soccer is one of the cheapest sports you can play--just imagine the price for something like baseball or hockey.)
In sports anime, there is no reform. There is no revolution.
But sports anime isn't really about that. It's about the narratives we create when we convince ourselves that we deserve to win.
(You know what I mean. Every billionaire is convinced they're some sort of heroic underdog. The same exact kind of 'working your way up' narrative.)
Sports anime is like, the uncomplicated power fantasy of playing the game. It's a world where you are rewarded for your hard work, because it's narratively satisfying. It's a world where it's safe to want things, because you have the exact same chances as the private school kids.
I used to be an obnoxiously competitive child. Then I got all my competition beaten out of me by 3 straight years of constant losing in my clownagerie of a high school soccer team (affectionate). I am going to admit that experience made me a better person and I would not trade it for anything, but I also had to like, relearn how to want things. And maybe real life is not as equal opportunity as the world of sports anime, but I think it's good to want things.
Of course, the winner-loser dichotomy makes sense in sports because of the inherent nature of competition, but it doesn't make sense in stuff like society and economics because that's like, competing over the right to live. That's where the capitalism metaphor ends,
Does sports anime actually go into the socioeconomic inequalities of sports? No. Of course not. Giant Killing never got a season 2.
But it is something I think about when I write sports anime fic. Even if it's not the point, it influences my characterization. The ego of a prodigy character in a shitty sports program is different from the ego of a prodigy character in a rich kid sports program. I am obligated to my amateur attempts to capture the complexities of the high school sports environment in my fanfiction because I am fucking insane I had a specific high school sports experience and they do say to write what you know.
#MEG I SWEAR TO YOU I WILL READ TANGERINE AT SOME POINT#I have so many thoughts about sports anime which is tragic because sports anime is not that deep#it is never that deep#part of the reason why I got so sucked into Daiya is because of the powerhouse school setting#and the fact that Eijun was so obviously lost because he never had that kind of organized system before#people give Seidou a lot of shit for 'not helping Eijun' enough but genuinely it's because he has NO CLUE how to reach out#I poured so much brainpower into Eijun's backstory in my brain it's embarrassing as hell#*shaking fanfic authors by the shoulders* YEAH THE CUTTHROAT COMPETION SUCKS BUT YOU DONT FIX IT BY SENDING HIM TO A DIFFERENT SCHOOL#I also am the only person who understands Miyuki Kazuya (exaggeration)#everyone gives him shit for the Nabe thing and look. yes he was wrong.#but I was once in that same exact situation and responded exactly the same way#Daiya no Ace is not about friendship#it's about Ambition#and people tend to make Eijun the sweet sentimental sunshine friendship guy#but he has JUST as much cutthroat ambition as Miyuki#that's why they work. that's why they understand each other#there's a whole essay I could write about Misawa but it's basically just chapter 18 of AAB#anyway if you want to watch a sports anime that does the Healthy Ambition and the Friendship Thing in the most wholesome way possible#watch Haikyuu. it really is the perfect sports anime.#shame the fanfic is 99% ship because the sports aspect of it is SUPER sweet#asks#jumpstrike#I'm answering jumpstrike but Tav I hope you see this too#lazuli talks#sports anime

What's new in Farm Expert 2017 PC
As a teenager, made anyone yet dream of spreading up to become a farmer, wasting the days charging close to your back lawn next to your own toy tractor with attempting to see sheep in the regional field to bring home with you? No, just me? Anyway never mind, even if this took place your childhood ambition, Farm Expert 17 provides the chance to accept also ride the very own farm! The sport is nicely varied, with you having to fully prepare fields before crops can be increased, to making sure you push livestock otherwise they move too childhood and die, this game can undoubtedly enhance the organisational skills.
Farm Expert 2017's been hidden, cultivated and brought in by Silden and sold on the local produce market by PlayWay S.A.,FE17 definitely has certain preliminary appeal if you enjoy a good simulation game. The game boasts some very beneficial look as far as the weather is concerned, a match soundtrack when you hop in to your tractor and plenty of to do to keep you tiling away for hours on end.
However, all these parts are let floor before a little unfortunate and persistent bugs, together with some fairly horrendous directions and physics for the cars. And although it is very varied, it goes through from a lack of depth which could give a little underwhelmed. There is and a multiplayer side on the game, while getting this to really act remains more akin to brown secret than computer games.
Tumblr media
With no word to talk about let's walk permission because of the nitty-gritty of what you can do from the sport. Because there is quite a bit. Today by I right start, I do first want to come good with cry that it was my own former ever real farming sim game (unless I could count Stardew Valley?) so I just want to move forward and around sorry for any really noob-like comments. Going on…
Setting up is appealing easy, with fill in you're met with a menu asking to build a page which is only a trouble of establishing a call with move on since here. FE17 contains a number of ways you can pick by entering Free Travel and Multiplayer (I'll talk more about the multiplayer in the flash). For me, however, the first go-to status remained the Tutorial. There's somewhat of a language barrier with approximately incorrect time and grammar, but once you get forgotten to the idea all pretty straightforward. This performed, however, consider myself almost five seconds to figure out exactly how to help repeal because I stupidly thought it was a regular WASD setup rather than having to press Z first in order to change government. But once these hiccups, I did find myself enjoying the game. There's something strangely meeting about having to experience the motions of changing up to a piece of equipment, hitching this in place, folding this out and then merrily tootling down toward your own subject designed for a being work.
Tumblr media
Once I had learned the basics of actually shifting and farming, I jumped right in work my fully-fledged farm. You get some options to choose from, basically ranging from Easy to Hard. Naturally, as a total amateur, I decided on the Calm option. Thanks to our decision I started off with a great calculation of cash and a significant healthy amount of procedures already in my possession, i really can press on with believe our main field, gathering a few plants and getting to work. I found myself rather enjoying our schedule as a farmer, finally achieving the target of motivation a tractor.
Yet, I gradually started to see several affairs. For beginners, the handling of the instruments is just not up to scratch, specifically on the street that you'd think will be smooth but for some ungodly reason cause your cars to bump along constantly. The game also doesn't seem to element in the included significance of machines you hitch on to your tractor, allowing you to accelerate at a lot the same time as you usually would. After a while, I learned that the physics in the game might produce some very horrendous cock-ups.
And later on, I too learned that the ground really had absolutely no influence on the rate regarding the car, allowing you to charge full speed up high mountains then carry on your own mini-adventure…
youtube
So yes, the real physics on the competition put anything to get desired. But the real gameplay is fairly varied. So if you never want to just push around stand and returning crops all the time, then no worries! You can go into animal husbandry having a number of different options for which animals to keep and ensuring that to hold them fed as well as offering them for meat just before they die of older times. Or you might grow orchards to make your own delicious fruit, having to fertilize and harvest the supply yourself, and even have to lug the envelope time for the truck! But you may do want to bond with clear old-fashioned crop farming, in which case you have to choose the plants depending on the season, carefully cultivate fields properly and then make sure not to go by them over or otherwise they'll be destroyed!
There's also vehicle maintenance with trouble to take into thought, so you have to fill up up your own tractor with petrol to hold it working, make sure that fine with neat (as obviously, it is critical for tractors?) as well as repair or better this currently then once more to make life easier.
Pretty varied, exactly? Right. Unfortunately, this selection does not translate to depth or order. So of course, you can grow your plants, care for creatures and spread fruit orchards. But there's no variety in pricing in the stores, so there's no need to look around for top buying or selling prices as every shop will give the same results. This lack of economy frankly lets down the whole practice. Your being do want food, but not any run or time outside their pens. You never also have to supply them yourself because anything you buy gets automatically assigned to the authors plus the monster somehow get admission on the food themselves. And with orchards, after yard and fertilizing them there's nobody else you really need to do until they're able to be accepted. This lack of depth turns the game in new of your calendar watching experience.
Tumblr media
You can hire a workforce to help you out, and watch them go about their drive is vaguely interesting at first, but soon loses the novelty. Other NPCs in the entertainment do not provide any conversation and generally, work to completely look at and give the world a appearance of excitement. Without success, I must say.
There is too supposed to be a multiplayer part for the game, but lord only gets how you can actually meet people. I've trawled many forums with others having related concerns with no resolution forthcoming. Multiplayer is there anything that is created last minute, so perhaps it will be improved in the future?
The first thing I'd say is that this game does not really boast the most amazing graphics, with some of the textures looking pretty difficult and quite a few popping issues going on. But I'd assume the vehicles seemed pretty good overall, and the weather effects were quite well done. There's something oddly fascinating about watching puddles found on the field while this raining.
It also has a little terra-forming effects as well, so when you're preparing your industry some of the machines you use actually form trenches and other changes in the realm, that changes how the vehicle may handle over them, that is quite effective. And starting what I understand from doing a bit of reading, something which doesn't go on here Farming Simulator sport or some other competitors. Character styles are attractive plain and forgettable, but besides the unnecessary NPCs, there's not really enough characters in to take much notice.
I personally recovered the soundtrack really enjoyable. There was something a little entertaining about the music opening up when you shot into your own tractor. The fact that the inlet regarding the engine changes depending about whether the inside or outside the car was quite nice too. But, once you saw the cycling positive impact, Farming Simulator 17 Big Bud DLC Download that leads as a bit annoying. Also, every time you got out of the tractor the character would for some reason think they were start and become the right sound. As well as that a handful of the vehicles which took absolutely no doors still played the door shut sound each time you got off. A complaint for me, but still a tap.
Due to our lack of exposure to previous farming sim games, I found myself enjoying Farm Expert 2017 at first, but the moment I had partaken to all the varied tasks I found myself getting bored very rapidly. With at last many the errors could attest to be relatively frustrating. If this tough happened a somewhat more improved and had a little detail added to it, i would absolutely price it top. The multiplayer certainly feels tacked on next the entire experience only becomes somewhat of a drag eventually.

Increase your band in IELTS by using these English Connectives: Set 1
Tumblr media
Above all
Use: Saying that something is the most important Example 1: Why did you choose to study English? I chose it for several different reasons. I like learning foreign languages. I enjoy watching American TV shows. Above all, I think it will help me to get a good job in an international company. Example 2: Why do you think we should protect the environment? There are many reasons. I think we have a duty to protect animals and plants, but, above all, we should protect the environment for future generations.
Accordingly
Use: Saying why something happened or was done Example 1: Why did you choose to study at that university? There were many good universities to choose from, but that was the only one in my home town. Accordingly, I decided to go there. Example 2: Why did you decide to follow that career? I have always wanted a job that involved international travel and paid a lot of money. I chose accordingly.
After all
Use: (1) Giving a reason (2) Saying what finally happened or was discovered Example 1: Why do you like playing basketball? It's a game that requires a lot of energy and helps me to stay healthy. After all, I think it is important to keep fit. Example 2: Do you think that what a person wears is important? Yes, I do. Clothes can help to create a favourable first impression. But we shouldn't only judge people by their clothes, as they may wear clothes we don't like but be great people after all.
Afterwards
Use: Saying that one event happened after another Example 1: Do you think the Internet is a good way to meet new people? It can be. I met a new friend in a chat room. We sent each other messages for several weeks before deciding to meet. Afterwards, we became best friends. Example 2: How do people celebrate weddings in your culture? People often get married in the morning. Afterwards, everyone goes to a hotel for a reception where they eat, drink and dance.
All but
Use: Explaining exceptions Example 1: Do all children in your country learn English? All but a few. Children might be exempt if they have a special talent for sport or if they are learning another foreign language Example 2: Do you usually have a party on your birthday? Yes, I do. Last year I was eighteen, so I had a big party. All my relatives and best friends came but one. My sister is working abroad and couldn't come.
Also
Use: Giving additional information Example 1: Do you have the same hobbies as your friends? Some are the same and some are different. My friends like football, but I prefer swimming. I collect stamps and my friends also collect them, but they don't have as many as me! Example 2: Are there any interesting places to visit in your home town? Yes, you can visit several temples which are beautifully decorated. You can also go to the art gallery, which has many interesting paintings and sculptures.
Alternatively
Use: Giving other options or possibilities Example 1: What do you do when you have free time but the weather is bad? I sometimes read a book – perhaps a novel. I like detective stories. Alternatively, I might watch a film with Sherlock Holmes or another detective. Example 2: Why do people often save money? Some people want to buy something very expensive, like a house or a car. Alternatively, they might want to go on an expensive holiday on the other side of the world.
Another way to
Use: Suggesting a different method or approach Example 1: How can we reduce traffic jams in cities? Many people think that we should improve public transport. Another way to reduce the problem is to make driving more expensive so people use cars less. Example 2: How do people find jobs in your country? A lot of people reply to advertisements, especially those in newspapers. Another way to find a job is to ask friends and relatives. I know many people who found jobs that way.
Anyway
Use: (1) To say something happened or happens in any case (2) Saying that a statement supports a previous one Example 1: Will you need help from other people in order to achieve your ambitions?Sure. I don't know exactly who those people will be in many cases. They may be family members, teachers, friends or colleagues. I will certainly need their help anyway. Example 2: What was your secondary school like? I went to a so-called 'key' school. In my country, these are schools where students are accepted by competitive examination. So, my school had very good facilities and teachers and the buildings were modern. Anyway, it was a good school to attend.
As
Use: (1) Giving reasons (2) Saying that two things happened at the same time Example 1: Why do you like playing computer games? As I am a computer programmer, I spend much of my time around computers. I think I like computer games for a second reason – I find them exciting. Example 2: When do you usually listen to music? I generally listen to music when I'm travelling on the bus or as I'm doing my homework. I find that a little quiet music helps me to concentrate.
As a consequence
Use: Explaining a result of an action Example 1: Do you like buying things online? Yes, I do. The vendors often have lower overheads than shops. As a consequence, they often sell the same things at lower prices. Example 2: Is history considered an important subject at schools in your country? No, it isn't. The university entrance exam doesn't require any knowledge of history. As a consequence, few students spend time on it.
As a result
Use: Explaining why things happen Example 1: Is the public transport good in your home town? Yes, it is. In the past, we only had buses which were old and caused a lot of pollution. Then the local government invested more money in public transport. As a result, we have two subway lines and modern buses. Example 2: Are examinations important in the education system in your country? Yes, they are. As a result, students spend a lot of time preparing for the exams rather than learning more useful knowledge or practical things.
As far as
Use: Saying that something is true to a certain degree or extent Example 1: How much does advertising influence what you buy? As far as I'm concerned, advertising has little influence on what I buy. I don't pay much attention to adverts and just buy the things I need or want when I go shopping. I often buy things that I have bought before and liked. Example 2: Do you think people behave differently when they are in a group? As far as the scientific evidence shows, yes they do. Often people become more confident when they are surrounded by their friends. We can see this with gangs, for example.
At any rate
Use: (1) Saying that a statement supports a previous one (2) At least, if nothing else Example 1: How has the style of furniture changed in your country in recent years? The furniture is more modern in style. There is also a greater variety of colours and materials. I think that most furniture is also lighter than more traditional furniture. At any rate, the style of furniture in my country has changed a lot in recent years. Example 2: What kind of training do people need to be lawyers? They need training in the law at any rate. They need to know what the laws are and how they are applied. This means that they need to know about legal procedures and the legal system in general.
At the same time
Use: (1) Describing simultaneous events (2) Discussing different points of view Example 1: Do you like going to parks? Yes, I often go jogging in my local park in the evenings. At the same time, I can listen to my favourite songs. Example 2: Do you think that knowledge of English is essential? It is if you want to be involved in international business or do work that involves dealing with people from other countries. At the same time, there are people who do not need to know any English because their work doesn't require it. Read the full article

I'm talking about the racing game Farm Expert 2017 Free
As a child, did you actually dream of extending up to become a farmer, spending the period charging near your rear yard with the toy tractor and trying to capture sheep in the nearby field to bring home with you? No, right us? Anyway never mind, even when that became the childhood ambition, Farm Expert 17 provides the opportunity to held also process the very own farm! The sport is nicely varied, with you having to fully prepare fields before plants can be extended, to ensuring you go livestock or they receive too older and fail, this activity will undoubtedly boost your organisational skills.
Farm Expert 2017's been buried, cultivated and produced by Silden and sold on the local produce market with PlayWay S.A.,FE17 definitely gives a few initial appeal for those who have a good simulation game. The game boasts some fairly clear impression as far as the weather is concerned, a right soundtrack when you hop in your tractor and plenty of to do and keep you tiling away for hours on end.
However, all these pieces are allowed overcome next to certain unfortunate and chronic bugs, together with some fairly horrendous curb and physics for the automobiles. And it is very varied, it goes through from the lack of depth which could leave a little underwhelmed. There is besides a multiplayer side to the game, though moving this to run remains much more akin to brown magic than computer games.
Tumblr media
With no tale to talk about let's walk right into the nitty-gritty of what you can do from the entertainment. Since there is quite a bit. Now earlier I right start, I first want to come clean up then influence that was the primary ever really farming sim game (unless I could count Stardew Valley?) so I just want to step early then articulate sorry for any really noob-like comments. Push with…
Setting up is rather cool, after pack in you're satisfied with a menu asking to produce a report which is just a material of making a brand then go away from there. FE17 control a couple of modes you can choose from entering Free Journey and Multiplayer (I'll speak more about the multiplayer in a time). For me, however, the first go-to space lived the Article. There's somewhat of the language screen with some incorrect period and grammar, but after you move history to that all pretty straightforward. It worked out, still, carry everyone almost twenty seconds to figure out the way to help repeal since I stupidly thought it was a clean WASD setup rather than having to press Z first in order to change course. But following these hiccups, I did get myself enjoying the game. There's something strangely satisfying about having to undergo the motions of reversing up to a piece of equipment, hitching it in place, folding this left and then merrily tootling together toward the subject for a day's work.
Tumblr media
After I had learned the basics of really turn and farming, I jumped even in work my own fully-fledged farm. You get several options to take from, basically ranging from Easy to Hard. Naturally, as a great amateur, I indicated the Simple option. Thanks to our choice I started off with a great total of currency and a good healthy sum of procedures already in my possession, so I could push right on with believe our former field, gathering a few plants and dealing with work. I found myself rather having my time as a farmer, finally achieving the target of determination a tractor.
Yet, I slowly started to notice a few mechanisms. For starters, the naming of the devices is just not up to scratch, specifically on the route that you'd think will be even but for some ungodly reason cause your vehicles to bump along constantly. The game and makes seem to factor in the swollen weight of things which you hitch upon your tractor, allowing you to accelerate in much the same time as you normally would. After a while, I discovered that the physics from the entertainment might produce some pretty horrendous cock-ups.
And later on, I too discovered that the farmsimulator.eu/farming-simulator-2013-titanium-edition-download/ ground actually took no influence on the swiftness of your car, allowing you to charge full speed up high mountains then carry on your own mini-adventure…
youtube
So of course, the true physics of the competition give something to be needed. But the real gameplay is beautiful varied. So if you don't want to really need in yard and collecting crops all the time, then no worries! You can go into animal husbandry having a couple of different options that animals to keep and ensuring that to hold them fed as well as selling them for meat just before they die of other age. Before you may grow orchards to make your delicious fruit, having to fertilize and obtain the products yourself, and even have to carry the pack to the trailer! But you do want to remain with clear old-fashioned crop farming, in which case you have to take your crops depending on the season, carefully cultivate fields properly and then make sure not to help process them over or otherwise they'll be destroyed!
There's also vehicle preservation with attention to take into consideration, so that you have to cram up your own tractor with fuel and keep that working, make sure it's good and fresh (as apparently, that is chief for tractors?) as well as repair or increase that right away also over again to make life easier.
Pretty varied, just? Right. Unfortunately, that class does not translate to power or order. So sure, you can strengthen the plants, care for being and multiply fruit orchards. But there's no form in charge in the looks, so there's no need to research for improved accept or trade rates like every shop will give the same results. That lack of economy frankly lets down the main practice. Your dogs do need food, but not any run or time away from their pens. You don't still have to feed them yourself so something you buy gets automatically transferred to the pencils plus the beast somehow gain admission to the food themselves. And with orchards, after place and fertilizing them there's nobody more you really need to do until they're ready to be gathered. That lack of depth turns the game into more of an calendar watching experience.
Tumblr media
You can hire a staff to help you out, watching them go about the job is vaguely interesting at first, but soon loses the novelty. Other NPCs in the sport don't provide any connection and generally, action to truly hear and give the world a resemblance of lifetime. Without success, I must tell.
There is too supposed to be a multiplayer element to the activity, but lord only gets how we may actually meet people. I've trawled many forums with news say similar problems with no resolution forthcoming. Multiplayer is there a little that is created last minute, so perhaps it will be improved in the future?
The first thing I'd state is how the game does not really have the most impressive image, with some of the textures looking pretty bitter and a significant few popping issues going on. But I'd consider the vehicles looked quite decent generally, and the weather effects were fairly well done. There's something oddly fascinating about watching puddles form with a subject while that raining.
It also gain several terra-forming effects as well, so when you're making the take some of the machines you use actually kind trenches and other alterations from the ground, which changes how the vehicle can operate over them, that is pretty nice. And also since what I understand by making a bit of examining, something that doesn't take place now Farming Simulator activity or different competitors. Character styles are fairly bland and forgettable, but aside from the unnecessary NPCs, there's not really enough characters around to take much notice.
I personally achieved the soundtrack really enjoyable. There was something a little entertaining about the music starting up when you shot in your own tractor. The fact that the thud of the engine changes counting at whether the within or outside of the vehicle was sweet cool too. However, once you noticed the cycling positive make, that begin as a bit annoying. And, when you got out of the tractor your individual would for some reason believe they were leap and reach the appropriate sound. As well as this a handful of the vehicles which got no doors still played the door shut sound each time you got off. A problem for me, but still a virus.
Due to the lack of exposure to previous farming sim games, I found myself enjoying Farm Expert 17 at first, but after I had partaken to all the varied tasks I found myself getting bored fairly swiftly. With eventually a number of the germ can attest to be significantly frustrating. If that match survived a little more developed then obtained selected degree put into it, i would indeed rate it higher. The multiplayer certainly feels tacked upon then the main experience just becomes somewhat of a drag eventually.

I was tagged by @twothirtyams
FINALLY got around to it HERE:
Nickname(s): Energizer Bonnie. Bon Bon. Bon. The Bonster. Babe (Jake literally has called me Bonnie less than 20 times akdjakanan).
Gender: Lady gal. Tbh I would be agender because I just don't care but along that same vein I just don't care enough to explain that all the time/insist on pronouns. So. Respect to y'all who do. ✌
Height: 5′6″ (I'm the tallest woman in me or Jake's families but also like. Why am I not 5'11"+ akdjakajaj Kaylor's impact….)
Time: 5:47p CST
Where I'm from: Dallas, Texas. (I would specify the suburb but nobody outside DFW seems to kno lol.) Living in Austin, Texas for 21 more days though...
Hogwarts house: SLYTHERIN. Through and through. When I took the quiz at like 15 and got put in the opposite of Gryffindor I cried. But like. Now, I cannot imagine ever not identifying with everything about Slytherin. The ~dark side~ has never ever been appealing to me - I didn't even have an "emo phase" (I thought MCR was scary even) lol but. Ambition and cunning? Hell. Yes. Also Merlin was a Slytherin so. Dab.
Favorite show: Parks and Recreation has taken the top spot for yeeeears - but now it is tied with Crazy Ex Girlfriend. (I base a lot of my identity on kinned TV characters akdjakaj but ANYway.) 30 Rock close 2nd. Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul are 3rd, shockingly. Bojack Horseman an unfortunate 4th but I kin Bojack in a negative way. Always, ALWAYS stan Avatar: The Last Airbender at #5. I have too many to list tbh lol so just check my TV tag.
Favorite animal: So preface: I only like female animals. Akdjakaja. JUDGE me as you WILL. BUT. Other than hyenas, female animals don't RAPE. SO! ANYWAY! Bunnies at a hard #1!!!! 🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰 Alligators, sharks, dolphins, elephants, horses/ponies, cows, pigs (lotta livestock akdjakajaba), cats, opossums, cheetahs, big cats in general, GIRAFFES (KK……) - I love animals a lot (from a sanitary distance akdjakajaj)
Favorite band/artist: I will not even count the obvious answer because that isn't fair. Other than her: Paramore/Hayley Williams, Ariana Grande, Lorde, Hayley Kiyoko, Halsey, Bastille, Troye Sivan, Harry Styles/One Direction, Rush (hate you Jake…), the cast of Hamilton and Crazy Ex Girlfriend.
...you can't judge me.
Song stuck in my head: Well I'm currently listening to Kung Fu Fighting akdjakaj but other than that Love Kernels has been stuck in my head for OVER A WEEK!!!!
Last movie I saw: Uhhh….tbh I really do not watch enough movies??? Honestly, it might have been Endgame?? God I am sad akdjakakja. Watched Crazy Ex Girlfriend 3× since June tho akdjakana
Last thing I Googled: murphy texas fourth of july concert
Other blogs: I've got a SHIT ton of saved URLs, but other than my temp hiatus blog @kaylor and its side blog @marvelousmidgesusie nah. Too much effort.
Do I get asks:Absolutely not. Never have never will akdjakajaj I'm good with it now.
Why this URL: Not to be like. Dramatic. But. After getting a canon URL previously and receiving 0 validation from it, I started this blog under the guise of like. Having just...a fun URL I can change whenever just to enjoy. So, when the lyrics were leaked, I jumped on this bitch because it was fun! And I'll probably change it again once Lover releases.
Number of blankets: Oh my God. Over 10. Too many.
Followers: Little over 125 I think.
Following: Idk. Maybe 200?
Average amount of sleep: I have been working pretty hard to make it at LEAST 8 - but that never fucking happens aidhakan 7-6 usually and it makes me MISERABLE.
Lucky number: 187, and any combination thereof. I know. Weird. But. On birthday turning from 7 to 8, July 18th (7/18), I decided that was the best day of my life, and that was my number. Do I remember anything about that birthday? Absolutely not. But. The number stuck. It shows up in my life a lot. From random (187 on a bus or on a utilities panel driving by), to mildly interesting (my license plate just has 718 or reblogging/liking things that equal combos of the numbers a lot), to really freakin' weird (the number my mom has had for almost 30 years ends with 0718, my Jake's birthday just happens to be August 17th 8/17). So. Idk. I just wike it.
What am I wearing: Tee from a coffee shop, A&M workout shorts, sports bra, crap underwear, and my heart on my sleeve.
Dream job: For my entire life, it was working in film, most recently being an editor. But within the last few months, in a dramatic turn of events, my ideal job would be doing what @tree-paine does: being the publicist of clientele in media, music, film, sports, maybe even politics. Idk.
Dream trips: Jake and I have an elaborate dream of traveling down the Alps from Frankford to Austria to Switzerland to Mulan and ending in Verona. Additionally, I am desperate to take Jake to NYC, LA, Boston, and San Fran. Would love to visit almost every hotspot in the US (Chicago, Atlanta, NOLA, Southwest, Pacific Northwest, Disneyworld, Colorado, Alaska, etc). Also VANCOUVER, lots of East Asia, lots of Europe, Giza, Jerusalem, South Africa - but I have literally never been out of the country and am TERRIFIED of flying let alone over the OCEAN. UM. I just want to be well traveled man lmao.
Favorite food: LOTTA shit I am NOT picky, but tops for sure: cinnamon rolls, cheeseburgers, pizza, mac n cheese, blueberries, pasta in general, sushi, and Jake's aglio e olio/veggie nachos.
Instruments I play: Lol. As if. I spent almost $300 on a keyboard but have been too depressed to try. Maybe someday. Have also been dying to sing for 23 years…
Eye color: Very, VERY light blue. Whenever I am in public, people lose their SHIT on the daily when they see my eyes. But for me like. Blue eyes be creepy. Lmao. I really want green/hazel eyes but like. W/e. So it goes.
Hair color: Naturally this dark, awful shade of ash blonde. But I've been coloring my hair since middle school, and for the past 5 or so years it has been a natural ginger copper. I dye my brows too, people think it's really because I am such a cracker ass white gal akdjakanakan
Aesthetic: Check my "aesthetic" tag lol. Idk. Peach/salmon tones. Farm animals. Florals. Dresses with sneakers. Women. Taylor Swift lyrics over pastel backgrounds akdjakaj. BUNNIES. Shots with a lot of negative space. Mornings and coffee and eggs and pancakes. Waking up next to Jake. Texas hill country. Cowboy boots worn right. Snow. Christmas. Idk. Just like. Look at the "moodboards" tag too akdjakaj.
Languages I speak: English, do you see my lily white ass akdjakajaj. I can speak Spanglish well enough to get through a transaction or vaguely pick up words but that is IT. Would love to know Cherokee, Korean, German, and whatever the hell Australians are saying tho.
Most iconic song: One time, I had a dream that I wrote my senior thesis on why the song "Red" was on the level of modern icon/classic as songs "Don't Stop Believin'", "Livin' On A Prayer", "Smoke On The Water", etc. I was insistent the opening notes were on the same level as "Immigrant Song" aodaajakaja. And I was SO passionate about it I WOKE UP CRYING AKDHALAJAKKAAJ.
Anyway.
OTHER than that, this is 100% subjective and to me personally but: Tim McGraw because those opening notes are just nostalgic as hell; Out of the Woods because when that leaked I was just starting to get back into TS and I put on my headphones and covered myself in a blanket and closed my eyes to be fully into it and oh my God...it was immersive, I will never forget that feeling; IV Sweatpants by Childish Gambino, because it was the MOST PLAYED SONG OF 2018 on our Spotify akdjakajaj; My Shot/Wait For It from Hamilton because they have both inspired and driven me to feel like I can take on the fucking world; and A Diagnosis from Crazy Ex Girlfriend because it changed my life and I have listened to it more times than I can count.
When I created this account: A few months ago. I am changing my person this year, and starting fresh with how I present my online persona was an important part of that process for me. But I have been on Tumblr on various accounts since 2010/11 lmao.
Best memory: Getting moved to the front row at my first TS concert, the 1989 Tour; so, so many things with Jake, years of memories; getting my bun; reconnecting with Sarah; a lot of SXSW 2018; my 20th birthday.
Best pun: The first thing that comes to mind is a post I reblogged earlier about how Lyra from The Golden Compass does not have a moral compass in the metaphorical sense and I said, "I mean. She has a compass. She quite literally very much has a moral compass." I thought I was funny lol.
Random fact: I finally got diagnosed with BPD! And I've lost 20+lbs this year (getting healthy, it's a good thing)! My closet is color organized by item!
