To some extent you have to keep up with the kpop charts if you’re a fan of nugu/midtier groups cause at a certain point that basically determines if you can expect a comeback in the future but I genuinely have no idea why people are so obsessed with the charting of groups like twice. Twice is doing fine. The members of twice are all rich, famous, and have the option of staying in the group for as long as they want to. Yet half of kpop discourse is about how groups from the big 4 or one that have massive fanbases that sell millions of albums each are charting. I do not understand it in the slightest.

#like it has never occurred to me to check the Spotify or album numbers of groups like twice or le sserafim cause I know they’re doing fine!#better than fine even! no matter how high or low it gets! they’re fine!#even with babymonster where everyone and their mother was looking at the charting I haven’t looked at how their ballad did!#cause I don’t care!#words of mine #and when I say keep up with the charting of nugu groups you don’t even have to look very hard #to get a basic understanding on if they’re running out of money or not like it’s not hard
