BIT OF PROGRESS

Star date 26012020

I awoke early Saturday morning and gave some serious thoughts towards getting up. But then I remembered a saying from a wise old Irishman. “ There are no prizes for getting up early”. So,I thought,hey, if there are no prizes I will stay abed. Call me Mister Lazy Man.

HOWEVER there was in fact a prize for this Aussie battler. I staggered from my cold lonely bed and first up was my usual trip to the scales.Rather than my scales saying “ get off me fat boy”... to my delight I was sub 69 kilos in weight. 68.9. The Gods themselves cheered.

I ran the New York Marathon in November and after that gave myself a well earned reward of an eight day hol in a fancy dan multi star resort in Cancun , Mexico.

Unfortunately at the resort apart from a spot of Golf,swimming,walking on the beach and stomping endlessly around Mayan Ruins I did no exercise at all. Rather I ate and ate and up went my weight. Mexican food is SO good.

From Mexico it was back to Japan for a week or so.More eating. JAPANESE food is SO good...and TAmami is just SO great a cook....how could anyone resist. Yea of little will power.

Then over to Taipei for a Half Marathon race and associated eating. I just grew fatter and fatter. Weight ballooned to Sumo proportions. Over 72 kilos. Fat Boy Me.

Back in Japan I managed to get under 72 kilos but still looked like a Hippo. Gym everyday and a few runs but I needed more.

Early January back to Australia for a week or so. Making a strong effort to lose the pork. I was still eating three meals a day but I was trying to cut down on everything.

Making my own meals probably helped. Nothing I made really tasted nice so that helped. I think it was Plato who said that if a man eats good food he will grow fat. Plato or Bob Marley.

BUT NOW..sub 69..now to get under 68.....

GYM: Weights,abs,...farmers walk...strong session

RUN: Felt a bit tired ( or maybe hungry)..bit of a jog with a timed last Km of 5.02. Felt faster..I am so slow...when I came to the last hill I know I should have hammered myself but lacked the will power. Ran in my oldest running singlet...call him “ Old Blackie”. He will see glory again I believe.

Found the ‘ heat’ a bit much and looked half dead after finishing...see below....

BLOOD PRESSURE: 139/86...I am getting some good figures here.

RESTING HEART RATE..47..ok...nothing to blog about.

WEIGHT...see above...still a bit of a whale but on the right country track

In 4.10 dt is rightfully horrified when her favored child killed and ate a three year old girl.

In 5.02 dt insists on executing Mossador despite the people’s cries for mercy because “the law is the law.”

In 5.05 dt is angry and vengeful due to the death of Ser Barristan and so uses her dragons to murder a potentially innocent man and allows them to eat his remains (thereby preventing him from receiving Meereenese funeral rights and condemning his soul to unrest) because she only cares about the horrors of her dragons and injustice when it suits her.

If I look back I am lost

She doesn’t realize she’s been lost for years.

Day #18 (02/09/21)

This is day 18 of my daily consumption blog. I got up early this morning for my Logic discussion zoom class. The class started at 9:05am until 9:55am, I was taking notes during the whole discussion. After class, I started to get ready for my day. Mondays are busy for me because I have travel to my in-person class over in the St. Paul campus, which takes me an hour to get there by bus. So, thats why I got ready right away after my zoom meeting. Plus, I wanted to have enough time do my homework and buy coffee on campus before my class. I started getting ready around 10:45am. I did my hair, washed my face, put on makeup and brushed my teeth before heading out to my bus at. I finished getting ready at around 10:30am and I left the house around 11:40am to catch my bus that was coming at 11:48am. I got on the bus and it was a chill bus ride, there wasn’t many people on so it was quiet. I made downtown at 12:20pm and from that I walked to the light rail to catch to green line. I got on the green like at 12:30pm and made it to the Minneapolis campus around 12:40pm.

I went inside the Coffman Union building to buy myself Starbucks. I was craving it during the bus ride so I decided to grab myself some. The line wasn’t very long so I got my items pretty quick. I got myself a Grade Strawberry Acai with lemonade and 2 pumps of liquid cane sugar, along with a side of 2 egg white egg bites with red pepper. The total came out to be $4.81. There was a deal that if I buy a grade drink I get a free food item. So the egg bites were on the house. I ate inside Starbucks, I ate my food pretty quick because I was hungry, but it wasn’t enough for me and I knew I would regret not eating enough food, so I went to Panda Express to grab me a bowl with fried rice and orange chicken. I also bought a bottle of water with my meal. The total came out to be $9.39. Then after buying my food I went to the bus stop to catch the 121 campus connector to head towards St. Paul. I made it to the campus at 130pm and ate my food inside the student center as I did my homework through my laptop. I did my homework for an hour until 2:45pm. I had to go to my next class at 3pm. Then from that I spent my whole day inside the studio working on my project that was due tomorrow from 3pm until 7:20pm. I worked for about 4 hours. I was craving Starbucks again so I went to the Starbucks near the Minneapolis campus and I bought myself a small decaf breve vanilla latte. The total for the drink was $5.02.
