#CaliforniaSouthernBelle | #RoadTrip | #AugustaCanal | #EarthDay 🌎 ______________________________________ #Spring is the perfect season in the south, right before excessive heat and humidity take over, to get out and enjoy the outdoors! (Granted you don't have crazy pollen allergies 😬) Just over a 2 hour drive from Atlanta and 2.5 hour drive from Charleston is the Augusta Canal in #Georgia. If you're looking for an easy day out, rent some bikes 🚴 for a nice ride along the shaded trail way or get a canoe 🛶 to float down the creek alongside the #SavannahRiver! We opted for a bike ride and came across a few of nature's creatures like turtles 🐢, beautiful birds, and even a scary little snake 🐍! Thankfully he spared our lives and we were able to enjoy the rest of our day! There's a perfect picnic area to soak up some sun ☀️ or skip some rocks on the river also! (I'm a rock skipping champ! 🤗) Either way, the Augusta Canal is a great time! (at Augusta Canal National Heritage Area)
