Peter had been in school all day and it was killing him, all he wanted to do was get out and just swing around a bit. Peter had a lot on his mind from has happened in the last couple months he's kind lost his cheery attitude from what had happened with Tony. Peter checked the clock again and noticed class was about to get out and he grew somewhat excited. As soon as the bell rang Peter rushed out of the class and just focused on getting home and not the people walking around him; Peter was going so fast he bumped into someone knocking himself and this girl over. Peter quickly looked up and faced who it was and he had never met this girl or even seen her around like at all, "Um, I'm sorry about that I'm in a hurry," Peter said helping pick up all of the stuff he knocked over, " Uh, what's your name by the way I dont think I've seen you around," Peter asked in a friendly way.

😴 - climbs into bed with my muse (babybannerross)

Another week, another stupid night in this house. Ryleigh hated it. She just wanted to be with her Daddy, but of course he had to be with that other guy in a suit all the time.

Sometimes, she wished she could ‘disappear’ him and have Daddy for herself, but Mommy said she couldn’t and that 'Tony’ was nice. It would only be for a couple more days till she came home, but of course, she had to have a nightmare.

Running quickly from her little room into the master bedroom, the small child quickly dove into the bed and under the covers, grabbing onto the first human shaped thing she could find in terror.

Tiny hands were not what Tony was expecting.

He jumped slightly, almost dropping his tablet -- then he frowned, set it over on the nightstand, and lifted his covers to peer down at Ryleigh.  The little girl with dark bedhead was clinging to him, her face buried in his pajamas and thoroughly hidden from him.  

“Uh, hi?”

The bioorganics conference was over and someone had the clever idea to have it in a skyscraper. The elevators would’ve been spacious under normal circumstances. Unfortunately, it was crammed with over a dozen people after a day of lectures and round table discussions. Bruce squeezed in and wished he’d waited. The doors were closing, but one more person slipped through. It was a young woman with green eyes.He wouldn’t have noticed, but there were only a few inches between him and anyone else. He glanced at the ceiling. “Sorry. Didn’t mean to stare.”

The elevator started moving. And he kept his eyes on the numbers — 29, 28, 27—until—

The elevator lurched to a halt. Someone pushed on the buttons rapidly. Bruce closed his eyes. “Please stop. That’s not gonna help. We just have to wait.”

“You a mechanical engineer or something?”

Mentioning a Biomechanical engineering degree wouldn’t help the situation. “We’re gonna be fine.”

“Don’t patronize—”

“Shut up, Mike. Don’t you—? I mean, he doesn’t mean anything by it, Dr. Banner.”

Dammit. He’d refused to wear a name tag on purpose. He stared at his shoes now, but he already felt the energy in the elevator shift and people drew back. “I don’t need space. We’re fine. The elevator’s just stuck.”

“I never did see this coming, what happened to you?” he asked his daughter worriedly, he wondered how in the world a daughter of his wound up a criminal and in jail.

Why Don’t You Stay? @babybannerross

She hadn’t meant to get so close to him. To be fair, he didn’t make it hard. He had the same personality as the Peter she knew, but…something about him just seemed better. Was is because he was older than her universe’s Peter? Was it because he was just as smart? She honestly had no clue.

When she had arrived here, by accident of course thanks to one of Tony’s rogue experiments, she knew that someone would find her a way home and she was able to feel they were getting close to achieving that.

Regrettably, she knew that the time with Peter and his world was coming to an end…so why wasn’t she happy?

“We can’t keep this up forever, you know.” She finally said out of the blue one day when it was quieter than normal, the feeling inside the body stronger than ever. “I hate that I have to say that.”

There might have been another Ryleigh in his universe, not one that he had ever met, and he doubted that he would have clicked so well with her verses the one he knew now. But like a lot of good things in his life it didn’t last forever. As he got to know her every single breakthrough in the research that led to her getting home was bittersweet at best. It stung.

Because the faster they progressed the faster whatever they had between them was going to end. Her words were fact, they couldn’t keep this up forever. Really she hadn’t needed to say it they had both already been thinking it. Knowing it was true but loving the illusion that they could.

“I know,” he said softly.

Bruce stared at her, mouth dry and agape. She couldn’t be real… “I had to know if you really existed, or if you were just a system glitch.” He had never known about her, and it didn’t seem like he was ever intended to know; Tony had thought it would be interesting to create a machine to track potential relatives by searching every known DNA database. He was gonna use it to prove he had no children and dispell the rumors, and had decided Bruce would be a good test subject because he definitely had no offspring… Or so he’d thought. When the results came back, there was one match- a fifty percent match. It was too great of a risk to not look into.
