I think bokuto likes to look at akaashi's to do list and complete the simple tasks for akaashi. like if it's like clean out expired food from the fridge, wash the dishes, do the laundry. that way akaashi can focus on his work tasks and feel less overwhelmed. bokuto walks over and just crosses the task off and akaashi wants to ask for his hand in marriage.

"kaashi," bokuto's voice rumbles before he places his hands on akaashi's shoulders.

akaashi squints, determined to stay focused and finish this essay. he's almost finished. he glances at his word count, only a thousand words to go.

"baby, it's late," bokuto says, squeezes akaashi's shoulders.

"almost done," he replies, leaning closer to his laptop. bokuto gently pulls him back, straightening his posture.

"half an hour."

akaashi looks up with a frown. "no-"

"half an hour and if it's not done, you can finish it tomorrow," bokuto says firmly. the tone of voice would usually send a thrill up akaashi's spine. now, it fills him with annoyance.

"it's due tomorrow, bokuto," akaashi says, harsher than he needs to.

bokuto hums, unfazed. "time's ticking away, keiji."

akaashi huffs and focuses back on his essay. he can write a thousand words in half an hour. it wouldn't be the first time he's done so.

bokuto kisses the top of akaashi's head and then disappears.

it feels like just a few minutes later, he's being dragged away from his laptop- quite literally, as bokuto pulls his chair away from the desk. bokuto swiftly moves to save akaashi's document and close the laptop.

bokuto then ignores akaashi's protests as he lifts akaashi out of the chair and carries him to bed. at which point, akaashi finally stops fighting.

"you didn't push the chair in," akaashi says, petulant. like a little child who's not getting his way. with a sigh, bokuto goes back and pushes the chair in with his foot.

"thank you."

bokuto makes his way to their bedroom and gently throws akaashi onto the bed. "if at any point in the night, I wake up wnd you're on that laptop, I am canceling our trip to onigiri miya's tomorrow."

akaashi pouts. but he doesn't argue because he knows bokuto means it.

bokuto takes off his shirt and crawls into bed. he curls around akaashi and places a kiss to his shoulder.

akaashi turns away.

"petty," bokuto mutters, his chest rumbles against akaashi's back. a few more light kisses and akaashi finally gives in.

"I've missed you," bokuto whispers into akaashi's neck. "I don't want you to work the whole time you're here."

akaashi leans back into bokuto's chest, turning his head so bokuto can connect their lips. "I didn't realize I'd have so much work." he hesitates, stealing a kiss before he adds, "I'm sorry."

not much talking happens after that.

kuroo drinks his old, cold coffee. he finds he doesn't care that it tastes bad, just needs to wet his dry mouth. he just needs to send this email and finish two reports.

typing away, kuroo doesn't notice when his coffee is replaced by a glass of ice water and a chair rolls next to his own.

it's not until soft music plays from kenma's laptop that kuroo even realizes that kenma's awake.

kuroo looks over, brows furrowed together, before he checks the time.

silently, kenma slides the water closer and starts to do his own work.

kuroo takes a drink and returns to his work. his chest feels lighter with kenma next to him. kenma hands kuroo his phone, open to doordash so kuroo can order some food. his stomach grumbles. he didn't even realize he was hungry.

"I can pay," kuroo says, but kenma waves him off. "can you get some tea, also?" kuroo asks and kenma nods.

after a while, kuroo turns and kisses kenma's temple. he whispers a soft "thank you."

kenma slides a post-it note over that just says "I know."

kageyama and hinata don't really like to cuddle, but they do like to sit close to each other and lean against each other and occasionally, kageyama will enjoy hinata sitting on his lap. but kageyama gets hot really easily and he likes personal space, so a lot of their affection is set up in a way where kageyama can get a little distance if needed.

akaashi and bokuto getting married but akaashi is very conflicted on whether he should keep his name, take bokuto's name, or get it hyphenated. like he doesn't particularly care about his family ties, however, his whole perfessional life he's been known as akaashi. but he likes bokutos last name and enjoys the sound of bokuto keiji. and hyphenating it could theoretically erase both of those issues, but he feels like it would be such a convoluted solution.

bokuto doesn't care either way. if akaashi wanted him to be akaashi koutarou, bokuto would be jumping at the chance just bc akaashi asked.
