Well, I wanted to publish an animation for my birthday, but I'm 20 seconds in and not close to finishing it... so since I have no plans, how about a birthday ask!

with his free hand, he gracefully unveils a golden chain, from which dangles an ornate amulet adorned with resplendent red stones. upon this precious pendant, odin has carefully etched the words "never forget," ensuring their permanence in the delicate tapestry of sentiment and time.

“i present to you an artifact of mythical power, worthy only of those who defy fate. SHHH"! he raises a finger to his lips. "LISTEN now to its mighty siren call and how it SINGS out to you ! yes…a MAGNIFICENT match indeed! none are as deserving as you, SELENA OF TEMPESTUOUS FLAMES!”  

odin takes a step forward and gently presses the gift into her hand. a mischievous grin eclipses over his features, offering a glimpse into the delight that twinkles within.

"the most joyous of birthdays to you! now, venture into the world and showcase its glamour for all to behold!"

Begrudgingly, reluctantly, most inorganically to a stranger but not uncommon to a friend, Selena’s resting frown tugs into a smile. Long does it waver, her lips wresting the emotions from moving up to her cheeks as best they can. She swallows her calm, and blinks up brightly at her dear, dear friend, almost embarrassed in her hesitancy. The necklace shimmers upon the words, carved too into her eyes every morning. But to receive the same words from Odin, one who knows, one who has died, one who has forged further, who too shoulders countless burdens with nothing more but a smile, carries a different sentiment. A comforting one. The amulet finally in her grasp, she turns it over and over in her hands, letting the setting sunlight catch upon the fineries wrought of friendship and perseverance.

“Oh… Thank you, Odin.” 

She no longer attempts to avert her eyes.

“I won’t forget ever again.”

I feel like I wouldn't even know where to begin with a longfic. Though things keep doubling or tripling in length! (Dropping one later today that was supposed to be short and sweet and like 3-5k, and is 9k... Oops.)

I'm more likely to keep adding stories to my Body Heart and Soul post-canon AU, which is great because they have eternity, or at least until the heat death of the universe. It's a fun sandbox for me to play in, and I don't have to worry too much about the individual stories connecting in a plot way.

I do really love all the achingly slow burn AUs, and also detailed historical stories, so some sort of historical AU could be fun to try if I had all the time in the world. Probably something middle ages, and involving a nunnery.

With the strong winds that day, the News Coo sent out to deliver the package had a few difficulties properly landing. Gliding on the wind and being pushed back and forth, the poor bird did a few dives, only for the wind to get in the way. Eventually, it took a deeper dive, miscalculating the path and slamming into main mast. The bird lay there for a few moments, then suddenly got up and opted to walk the rest of the way towards Shanks, dropping the packet meant for him before flying away --- though not before nearly getting entangled in the sails. The package entailed two things: a bottle of aged saké, which by some miracle survived the crash, and a custom made necklace with the pendant depicting the Red Haired Pirates' jolly roger. On top of both, there was a small note written in neat handwriting.

The redhead had been watching how the News Coo struggled against the wind for a while now, wincing when it flew against the main mast. Poor thing. He had been about to check up on it, when it suddenly got up and flew away again after dropping a packet in front of him. Well, at least the accident didn't seemed to have damaged the bird to much.

The note on top of the package only caused him to smile and he hoped that his own gift to the swordsman had arrived on time as well. He had planned on seeking him out on their shared birthday, like he often times did. But things had been busy for him in the last days. He couldn't allow these overconfident rookies to cause trouble in his territories without fearing repercussions from him. People relied on his protection after all, and he couldn't afford to disappoint their faith in him in such a regard.

The package is carefully opened and his mood is instantly lifted when he spots the bottle of sake. It was a rare brand, hard to come by as far as he knew, but Mihawk had always been good at getting his hands on these things. The necklace is noticed next and he lifts it up, examining it closer. He would have to ask Benn later to help him put it on.

Wow, that's an interesting question. There's so many stories that were special to me in many ways. If we're talking generally, then despite its many flaws, the show Supergirl definitely changed my life for the better, and that's very special to me.

There are also many fics that stayed with me long after I read them Like; Moonlight Serenade by acoolusername, Intimate Strangers, and All Will Be Well, As Long As You Stay By My Side by @thornedrose44 , Hello and Goodbye by @lena-in-a-red-dress , Five More Minutes by @autisticlenaluthor to name a few.

When it comes to my own writing I'm learning how to express myself through it more and more. Being open that way is still something I struggle with, but Alone was the most personal thing I've ever written. This one was really me writing about a very personal experience through Lena.
