Max knows that he messed it up - and maybe today is the day he finally fixes it. "Esme?", he carefully asks, approaching her from behind, carefully leaving her a meter to breathe. A mile, if she'd ask for it. "I didn't know you'd be here." Stupid. "No, I, I knew you were going to be. I don't know why I said that." Stop the lies, maybe, that stupidly annoying voice in the back of his head throws in his direction. Max ignores it, like always.

"I was looking forward to seeing you. I thought we might get the chance to talk." Thought this, thought that, too much fucking think. "How's it going?" Max is not fucked up this time, no, Max is surprisingly controlled. Well-dressed. Styled hair. Expensive jewelry. No dilated pupils, no twitching corners of his mouth, just Max. And in addition to that, also no guns. Not even a simple knife. She thinks you're stupid and desperate. You're stronger than that. Just fuck off, Max. Max ignores the voice again; "I like your outfit."

Aaliyah was born and raised in San Myshuno, spending most of her life in a small but comfortable apartment with her parents and younger brother. She’s never been a big fan of travel, thinking, for most of her life, that nothing could ever take her out of the city. A city girl in both heart, and soul.

The thing about Aaliyah that most probably would be surprised to find out about her is her absolute love for trashy reality TV. She finds them cheesy but hilarious and can never keep herself from tuning into the latest episode of whichever show she’s been watching, usually more than one. While watching “Bachelor in Sulani“ with her best friend Solange, a commercial popped up for casting call for “Kiss Me in Komorebi”, a show neither of them had ever heard of. But she HAD heard of Daniel Taylor, who had more or less disappeared from the headlines for a while. She was intrigued, and Solange could tell. At first, the idea wasn’t appealing to Aaliyah, but after much pressing from Solange and incessant reminders of how she still hasn’t found a partner to settle down with, Aaliyah finally caved.

This is her first time outside of San Myshuno for a significant amount of time, and she’s nervous, but she refuses to show it.

She has a moderately popular podcast and blog, but she chose not to announce that to the casting directors, not wanting anything to influence their decisions nor did she desire to mix her professional life with this, which she considers just a personal adventure of sorts.

Her parents, brother, and best friend want her to find a partner more than she does, but she is genuinely interested in Daniel and this show. And if she doesn’t get a partner out of this, she’ll still have gotten the experience and a story to write about for her followers.

Aaliyah is an ardent lover of all things caffeinated, especially coffee (she’s on a first name basis with most of the morning shift baristas at her local favorite coffee shop), and will get very grumpy if she hasn’t had any caffeine yet. Do not talk to her until she’s had her morning coffee. (Though her mug is more likely to be a handmade uniquely designed mug from a small business she found on simstagram)

Spiritually dedicated to wearing leather jackets.

Tiger and several others have been hit with a NEXT power that causes extreme exhaustion! Ryan is filming and laughing a bit.

Tiger, hanging off Barnaby: I'm hungry.

Barnaby, exasperated: So lick that coat! You smell like a-

Tiger: Grilled...cheese...

Barnaby: Huh?

Tiger: Grill me...a cheese.

Barnaby: I'm not grilling you a cheese!

Tiger: *makes the most heartbroken noise anyone's ever heard him make on camera and starts sobbing*

Barnaby: Oh, for Goddess' sake.

Ryan: *laughing too hard to keep filming*

Raiden is definitely like his daddy with his sass and arrogance! And he learned how to respect women from him too. I just love that we get another Carter! I’m a sucker for Carter…

He’s sassy with everyone though, Carter is more sassy with Story. Plus he was raised with confidence, Carter didn’t get his confidence until later. Raiden is how Carter could have always been.

Otto is going to be a bit more like Blade, with a bit of a dominating side. He did get a bit from his 🤢 grandfather 🤢

Zephyr is very much James with a bit of Beau. He loves HARD! Which is also how he ended up married young, and two kids young, but she didn’t love him quite as much as he loved her

Archie wants to be like his dad in every way. Like Otto is a bit more natural. Archie tries. He is the mama’s boy, and it doesn’t take much to make her proud of her boys. She loves them so much, and she wants the world for them. Archie is also the one that looks just like his dad. And the only one that Lydia ever asks about.

Brooks despite his issues later, is a bit of a jokester. He just put too much emphasis on trying to be like Otto, instead of being himself. He’ll get there, and when he does, and straightens out (with rehab and therapy) he’s back to that person. And when he meets his woman, he’s very much Carter. Loves showering her with gifts.

Raiden is our cocky little shit 😂 but in all seriousness he is the sweetest thing. Eyes only for Birdie Mae since he could talk. He was a bit of a player though. Kinda like his oldest brother.

Oz is pouring them both wine, in better spirits than one normally sees him in. There's a smile on his face specifically for his company, who he's invited over for Chinese food, wine, and catching up. Sorely needed. "Tripped... hit her head. Stitches. Ambulance showing up at the fucking rager. Such a mess... meanwhile I'm trying to make out with Gabriel out in the back bedroom."

Maybe Oz misses some of those old, wilder times.
