Okay, phew, this episode.

First of all, I loved loved this episode. So far it's my favorite. It had everything, drama, craziness, humor - different from the other episodes - and I really loved it. Again, turning people into their Halloween costume - a masterpiece 🤌. I absolutely loved this plot.

I loved watching Buffy's character being this woman lmao. Xander as the soldier - my heart, he really looked and even sounded hot. Willow as always my adorable hot girl. And we had OZ. Mr. Who's that girl. Adore this guy lol.

Now, WTF GILES? WHO ARE YOU? WHO IS HE!? I swear to God it took me by surprise. Damn Giles. Everyone here has a dark past(minus the teenagers but living in this town, they're well on their way).

Anyway, fav episode so far, loved every second of it. That's it for now, see ya in the next one. Cheers 🥂

Episode 1: Welcome to the Hellmount

''In every generation, there is a chosen one. She alone will stand against the vampire, the demons, and the forces of darkness. She is the Slayer.'' The 1st Episode starts with one couple entering the school by breaking the window. Then the girl who is a vampire (Darla) kills the boy. The episode continues with Buffy's dream. We are seeing our slayer for the first time. Buffy's dreams or nightmares could be important as a prophecy.

On the first day of Sunnydale High School, our girl meets with her friends and the watcher. When Giles shows her the book about vampires, Buffy got scared. She was not expecting this on her new day. But when Cordelia gave the news about the dead body which is found in the gym locker, she could not turn back and run again. She has to face the reality. As a slayer, she should check out the cause of death so she checks the dead body and sees the mark. She was not happy about the vampire problem, she did not want to accept that there is a vampire and she is the only one who could stop and slay it. She returns to the library cuz she does not know anyone to talk to except the strange new librarian. She even told him that she does not care, she is retired so he could go and slay the vampire by himself. And guess what Xander was here and heard all the conversation.

What will Buffy do? Not slay for sure (at least directly). She will go to the Bronze. She got an invitation from Cordelia.

The mysterious handsome friend (Angel), meets with a slayer on the way to the Bronze. He warns her of the coming harvest. And he gave her a present which is neckless with a cross. Wow, who is this guy who disappeared from the dark night? Buffy's future white knight.

We are coming to the stage where the seeds of friendships are planted. Buffy sees Willow in the Bronze and started to talk with her. Gives her a little advice about seizing the moment. Then she saw Giles, went to him, and talked about vampires. Giles asks her a few questions and explains to her that this is her duty.

This is the moment when things got interesting. Giles asks her to take a look around and find a vampire. The vampire which she found was talking with Willow. Omg, she needs to help her, it was her fault after all.

I like the moment when Buffy attacks Cordelia with the stake. It is the funniest moment in the first episode in my opinion. Ups vampire gone with Willow. Buffy founds Xander and asks Willow. Even though Xander makes a joke about the situation and he does not want to believe what he heard about the school. He decided to help Buffy. And they went to the cemetery and founds Willow and Jessy. While Xander helps them get out of there, Buffy fights and kills one of the vampires and continues to fight with Darla.

Suddenly, out of nowhere another vampire shows up and nearly kills Buffy. The first episode finishes here with a note with 'To Be Continue'. While I was watching the first episode, I realize how young the characters were and how they have grown up with this TV series. Just a moment I went back to my teenage times when I first watch Buffy and how I have grown up too.

Let's meet for the second episode. What will happen to our characters and how they will escape from the cemetery?

Oh OH, this ford guy is max from Rosewell(or whatever it's called), the one with insane chemistry between him and Liz. Lmao, never watched the show but I've watched gif's of them making out, which are...something 🤤🙈

I like this little moment between buffy and giles. It's emotional, raw and real.

B:- "does it get easy", G:- "what, life", B:- "yes", G:- "what do you want me to say", B:- "lie to me". Damn, I don't know why but it got me.

The last scene between giles and buffy, in the end, got me. I mean this show is pretty heavy and emotional at the times but I feel like it's gonna get much more from here.

Also, the "lie to me", episode title. Perfect for this episode. The theme of this episode was literally "lie to me", the conflict, the delusions, denials, characters lying to themselves. Ford, buffy, Giles, angel, all of them lying to themselves in different ways. Their pain and turmoil. Perfect.

Alright, another solid episode. Honestly, other than one or maybe two episodes, I've been pretty much invested in the show and haven't got bored at all.

I loved this episode. Little more sneek peek in angel's past, and drusilla and damn her past broke me, poor girl. Honestly she can go on a killing spree and I wouldn't blame her, the girl has been through hell. Angel ruined her life because he became obsessed with her? Fuck you angel.

Not sure how I feel about ford, he was a one episode guy so no attachment but like dude just die. It's kinda sad he spiralled that far away.

I really need more angel, I am not gonna lie, he doesn't even feel like a character to me anymore. It's weird how little or Barely he is in the show. I know he has his own show but I don't wanna watch that because ain't no way I am putting myself through cordelia and angel bullshit.

A really great ending to the episode, really liked that they touched on Buffy's emotional turmoil, even if it's briefly.

I guess that's all, loved the episode. Not much xander in it, it was more buffy and angel focus and angels past which included drusilla. Someone needs to get her justice because poor girl.
