Been dressmaking at the moment. I just love the old burda ‘world of fashion’ patterns that has so much less patterns on it = it just makes so much easier to trace. I supppse it’s all down to cost of production at the end of the day in this competitive market. I am trying to hack/ adjust patterns to fit the design I have in mind. 🇬🇧 Hello! It's weekend again 😃 I had some fabric left from when my mother did the caftan. Thus, I made this peplum top during my sewing course. If you are not very familiar with the terms of fashion, you have probably never heard this word. The peplum is a kind of -flouncy ruffle with volume- that adapts to the waist, forming a very characteristic silhouette that emphasizes this area. The peplum originated in Asia, but Christian Dior introduced it to fashion by reinterpreting it in his famous 1947 New Look. . . 🇪🇸 ¡Hola! ¡Es fin de semana otra vez! 😀 Me quedaba algo de tela de cuando mi madre hizo el caftán. Por lo tanto, hice este peplum durante mi curso de costura. Si no estás muy familiarizado con los términos de la moda, probablemente nunca hayas escuchado esta palabra. I worked the entire vacations on that jacket, It was the first time I did a garment with lining on my own. :) I am really proud of the final result, despite the fact that I have some issues with the fabric during the confection.
