Since in aster y/n used to go to an all girls school I imagine she wore and uniform, and maybe she’s looking at some pics with H and she’s in one of them looking cute and with a ponytail or braids and a plaid skirt and he’s like I would’ve crushed on you so hard but she’s like 🙄🙄🙄 you would’ve thought I’m stuck up but the truth I think is if they’d met sooner he would’ve changed his mind about that kind of people earlier on. Also can we talk about how much he loves her?? 🥺🥺🥺🥺 I think Harry went thru some shit but he was always loved by his mom and sister, but y/n maybe didn’t. Maybe her parents do love her but not in that devoting and unconditional way Harry does and before him she never felt as warm or cared for and now she has that and... yeah 😭

Like maybe she had a few pics she took with her when she moved out and like she never really looked at them but they were cleaning up some of her things and found the little box of pics and harry insisted on going through them. There weren’t many of her with her parents, and only a few with the limited friends she was allowed in school. Those were his favorites, getting a look into what her life was like before they had met. She didn’t talk much about school, but he figured with the fact that it was an all girls private school, that a uniform would be apart of the charade. He just hadn’t figured she would be so cute.

“Hold on, let me look at that one,” he stopped her, falling her flipping fingers on the one picture that had caught his attention. It was a glossy photo of her with a blonde friend she had named as Carly a few pictures back.

(Y/N) was in her uniform: a burgundy plaid skirt with a matching blazer hanging over a white blouse tucked into her skirt, golden accents threaded through the skirt and coloring the crest on her blazer. A pair of black Mary-Janes were on her feet with a pair of white socks pulled up to the mid of her calf, gold and burgundy bands at the hem. Her hair was put in a pair of braids falling over her shoulders as a bright smile warmed her features. The school building was housed in the background, clean-cut hedges and well trimmed rosebushes decorating the brick structure. The edge of a finger fuzzied just the very corner of the frame, the sunshine flaring from the top.

“My mom was late to pick me up that day, and Carly was starting her summer vacation early so I wasn't going to see her until school started again. She wanted to take a picture together so she could ‘remember’ me. She gave me a copy when we found out we had the same homeroom the next year.” (Y/N)’s explanation was told through a fond smile, one of the only times she’d recounted a story from her childhood with anything other than anxious reluctance.

Harry’s eyes were glued to the younger version of the woman sitting beside him; her cheeks were chubbier and her limbs held the awkwardness of a teen, though her eyes were still bright and big as they were now and her smile warmed him. “You’re so cute, love,” he smiled, “Definitely would have had the biggest crush on you had we met back then.”

(Y/N) rolled her eyes beside him despite the way her lips curled into a shy smile. “I’m sure,” she teased, “You would’ve thought I was stuck up, remember?” She nudged him with her shoulder, referencing his big confession he shared during their first real date.

Harry internally cringed at the memory of the mindset he carried before her, wishing he had willed that away sooner so he could have spent more time with her instead of just yearning. He dropped his hand to settle on her thigh, the photo still clutched in the other. “I don’t know, angel. I think y’would have changed my mind,” he mused, flexing his fingers around the thick of her thigh, “Would have tried to take y’to every dance, waited for y’between classes, find one of those corners that every school had so we could kiss a little without getting caught.”

Harry leaned over, pressing a kiss against her cheek as he spoke. He nudged his nose against the side of her head in an affectionate puppy’s kiss.

“It was an all girls school, H,” she pointed out, although her smile never wore off. She quite liked the idea of enacting those cliche, high school romcom moments with him.

“I would’ve found m’ways, trust me.” He handed her back the photo after gazing at it one more time with hearts in his eyes. He should have known she would have always been beautiful.
