You are open to both canonverse and AUs: I personally prefer AUs (alternative universes), since I believe they allow more freedom and creativity. Examples could be medieval, royalty, knights, monsters, ghosts, gangsters, professional hitmen, mafia, car racers.

You can write multiple rps: we all know how hard it is to find the right people with whom we enjoy writing, so I'd be very down to write multiple stories with you if we truly click and get along well. I like to make friends out of my partners, so we can write a lot and to our hearts' content.

This one is simple. One thing I absolutely will not stand for is guilt-tripping on the dash. If I see you posting stuff that makes people feel guilty about something, especially things they can't help, then I definitely won't stick around for it. I see people all too often hating on the dash because they don't get any interactions, or some sort of drama that's going on. Most of the time, it's people who get interactions, but they ignore most attempts, and drama that does NOT need to be brought up to other people.

I also am heavily against people who use their mental health as a guilt mechanism. It's incredibly selfish to do, and as a person who also suffers from mental health issues, I hate seeing it. Don't make people feel bad because of your mental health. It just means that perhaps a difference in how it's being treated is needed. If you really need to get it out somewhere, your RP blog isn't the place for it.

I have actually, surprisingly, never come across anything I won't RP. So I can't offer a proper answer to this, but one thing I will mention is that I don't see what I write as reality. Just because I write something, doesn't mean I condone it. This seems to be a hard thing for people to grasp nowadays. But I do write some of the topics I do because of trauma, and it's a way to relieve it, especially when it's heavy on my mind. If you don't like something I write, please block the trigger tag, as I try to be as careful as possible about it.

Chemistry is one of the biggest things in regard to this. I do not write to ship. I do not write to get sexual interactions. If it leads to that, that's great! But I want chemistry in my relations for my muses. I want things to be explored for the characters in these relationships, to see how they tackle various things that can come up.

I have some ships that I like more than others, but that does NOT mean I will instantly ship. We need to interact first, to gain chemistry and see what kind of relationships our muses can have. Just because A muse is in a relationship with one version of a character, does not mean it'll end the same way between our muses. Sometimes it just doesn't click, and sometimes it does, and that's okay.

More often than not, this is mainly in regard to canon characters. I don't mind preestablished relations, for most types. I only really accept romantic relations after talking with the mun in question. This should be a given, but sadly it isn't anymore.

As long as it's talked about beforehand in regards to something outside of canon, I don't mind doing it. It'll take effort on both sides and once again, communication is key for this sort of thing. If you can properly communicate with me, I'm all for it.

There are a handful of things I look for, and I doubt I'll be sent anymore for this meme, so I'll answer for more than one thing here. Muse pages, rules pages, intractability status (Mutuals only, Hiatus, etc.), and mun age are big ones. These are considered common courtesy and should be on every RP blog. Sadly, it isn't, and it leads me to usually result in not following.

Are people mobile-friendly? It's more common now, but there are still people who refuse to admit to the fact that not everyone has the time to get on a computer, and there are even people who don't have one to use. However, I also just prefer to use mobile-friendly links a lot on my own laptop, if only because it's literally one of the only ways to see links on some blogs. People have them so hard to find anymore, so these quick links make it easier to see their pages.

These are the biggest ones I look for, though there are other things, too.

The. Grainy. Icons.

The tiny icons where you can barely even see who the character is, much less what they look like. The fact this is so common makes me question if people recall the purpose of icons. Sure, they're not needed, but I'd prefer people not use them at all to interact with me than put a heavily bordered 80 x 80 PSD heavy icon in a reply. I have bad eyesight, and even if I didn't if I can show people that icon and they can't tell what's on it while knowing the characters, then there's an issue.

❤️‍🔥Hello! I'm looking for long-term 18+ rp partners for an original plot. Pairings are fxf or mxm.

The style is 3d person, past tense, novella (!). The length of my posts can vary, but I prefer to keep them longer than 4 paragraphs. I like adding small details in my post, write side characters, explore characters' personalities etc.

In terms of the story I have a couple ideas, but am open to hear yours. I want to have a long complicated plot with angsty atmosphere. I'm looking for someone who is ready to plot together and suggest ideas. I'd prefer you don't have a ready oc as I tend to create them specifically for the story after discussion (but you can have a character that you can use as a base).

I'm okay with slow replies and ready to talk ooc. I might not be very active in terms of sending playlists, arts (sometimes I can if I'm really excited about the rp), but I'm always glad to see things you send. If talking outside of rp isn't for you, that's okay, I'm comfortable with that.

Plots:

I want to explore religious topics. We can have a story between two characters where one of them is a strong believer and the other is losing their faith. Maybe they're childhood friends who grew apart (it'd be nice to write some flashbacks), or they've just met. We can take this story in a lot of different directions.

I think I saw a similar idea a while ago, but never got a chance to write it. People around the world suffer from the disease that affects their memories. There's a cure, but it's hard to get. There's a lof of world building to do. We can set the story in the modern days or in dystopian future. There're a bunch of possibilities of who our characters could be.

your plot

I'm open to hear new ideas. To specify I don't really want to write some classical plots, I'm looking for new ideas. I want the story to explore some dark topics (I have a few limits that can be discussed in dms) with sweet moments thrown in here and there, and I just want something huge, touching, maybe heartbreaking to build.

I'm seriously thinking of possibly turning the story of my original characters, Ami and Sam, into a written story. These two were my basis for Delia and Archer, many of their traits and story beats are present within their fic.

I was thinking about it a few days ago while rereading some old threads of them. It gave me so much nostalgia. I had a lot fun developing them and the world they inhabited, which used to be based on Gravity Falls, but it turned into its own mysterious sleepy town with supernatural vibes and ancient secrets. I had so much art of them. They had very distinct personalities that shined through. Ami or Ricky as she was called sometimes, was the more reserved type, which contrasted with Sam's often infectious spontaneity. They had a long slow burning arc of going from friends to lovers, but that was not the main core of their story. The plot was following their progress as they navigated who they wanted to be. A coming of age so to speak. And they both wanted things that were different from each other's, but still converged in many aspects.

Ricky wanted stability. A 21yo witch fleeing a neglectful and judgmental father, trying to hone her abilities, and heal from her mother's tragic and mysterious death. Her flight lead her to a place her ancestors once called home, ironically due to being persecuted as witches. She starts carving a life for herself, making and learning mistakes, meeting an interesting bunch of characters, and even get into the national park system to be a mediator in conflicts between human and supernatural beings.

Sam wanted freedom. A fearsome looking deity of winter and death, bound figuratively and literally to the land he was assigned to protect. Though he takes his role seriously as a god, he had the heart of a young man that yearned to explore beyond the reaches of his territory. He meets Ricky, who, while she couldn't give him the freedom he wanted, did offer him a way to interact with the world around him by giving him a human form. He uses it to his full advantage, for better or worse, but learns a lot about life and himself in the process.

There was no villain their story, unless you counted Bill, but as I continued to refine things, their origins as Gravity falls ocs got less and less important, and eventually the town and surrounding wilderness became its own original creation, and served as both home and source of conflict for them they either faced alone or together. Sometimes helping them grow, sometimes pointing out their own flaws to work on.

Their families also created conflict. Ricky's father sometimes visited her, bringing in family drama and painful memories of her old life. She resents him for withdrawing emotionally during her mother's passing, feeling as if he abandoned her in her time of need. In a fit of angry, even telling him that she felt like she lost them both, just in different ways. Her father isn't a complete asshole though, and does acknowledge how he hurt her, but his attempts to make it up to her are often misguided. However he tries to support her choices in life.

Sam's family, consisting of three older siblings, are a mixed bunch of characters who go through their own development and issues as the story goes on. Sam gets along the most with his brother, Bear, as the name implies, is a gigantic bear with a small forest on his back. A deity of Spring and rebirth, he is the most patient and caring of the family, offering his advice to Sam and being generally supportive of him, even if he doesnt quite understand his little brother's choices. Bear goes through his own transformation from being an intimidating force of nature to an inquisitive man who finds himself caught between his duties as a guardian and a budding romance with a local school teacher, a woman named Olivia, who is fascinated by his abilities and smitten by his hidden romantic side.

Fish, the deity of Autumn and War, probably goes the most changes in the story and is probably the most misunderstood of the family. To his siblings, he is the more feral of them, but that doesnt prove true. He is a lot more adaptable, intelligent, and considerate than they think. Their feral nature's was a concept I added about 2 years ago, explaining how the siblings, while not born, were once very wild forces of nature in their primal state that had to grow into the deities they are now. Fish retains a lot of that still in some ways. He takes the form of a giantic prehistoric fish that stalks the lake for stray fishermen and any poor animal in those waters after dark. In an attempt to lure a human into the waters, he tries transforming into a man, but it backfires as his new form cannot breath underwater and is danger of drowning. He ends up being saved by said human, a WW II veteran, who discovers Fish is actually deaf. Between them they open up through body language and eventually sign language, which opens up a way for him to finally communicate for the first time. The two become close, almost taking father/son roles, leading Fish to bless the old man with safety in the water where ever he may go.

This budding humanity continues when he meets a young cryptid hunter, who manages to capture him on film, but winds up falling into the freezing waters of the lake. Rather than eat her, he pulls her to shore, and she's given a glimpse of his intermediate form between fish and human. Thinking she's met a merman, she goes out looking for him again, can't find him and purposely throws her oars over her rowboat calling for help. He helps again, much to his exasperation, and the two interact by body language and written language, thanks to the vet who taught him. At first her aim is to exploit him for money, but has a change of heart when she realizes he'll never have a peaceful life if people discover he exists. She guiltily confesses her initial plans, gives him the SD card to destroy, and in turns gains a lot of his respect. She doesn't live locally, but promises she'll visit him when she can.

P'alli, the deity of summer and the hearth, is the eldest of the siblings and is the main cause of conflict within the family. She has a traditionalist mindset regarding their roles as gods, demanding reverence from mortals, and respect from her siblings. Sam and her are consistently at each other's throats about how he wants to live his life, his thoughts that humans should be friends not worshippers, and his blossoming feelings for Ricky. She later finds Sam influencing his brothers to explore human life, befriending and even falling in love with them, and she does not take kindly to it. She actually punishes Bear by cursing him to remain trapped as a man and removing his powers. This causes immense grief for Bear, as he feels cut off from his own creation, which would be like cutting off a leg or going blind. However this eventually backfires, as he befriends and stays with Ricky in a guest room, and romantically pursues the school teacher, Olivia. Between Fish and Olivia, they do manage to break the curse, restoring Bear's true form and abilities.

We learn later that P'alli's behavior toward humans doesn't necessarily stem from superiority, but rather from a broken heart. She once fell in love with a shaman many centuries back, she disguised herself as a human woman and they enjoyed a sweet yet sadly short relationship. When she showed him who she really was, thinking he'd accept her, he fled in terror, as her true form was a giant bird of prey with fiery attributes. His reaction broke her and in her grief, she burned the mountain around her and to this day, that spot is still barren. Feeling betrayed by someone so cared so deeply for, she vowed not to let her own siblings ever come close to humans. Her arc was never fully explored however, but I like to think she eventually comes around and understands not all humans will hurt her or her family.

other side characters include Ricky's mother, who does keep watch over her grown daughter. Wait but how? Her mother was a Time Space witch. A very rare breed of witches born once a century. She uses her abilities to travel to Ricky's present to be sure her daughter is safe, but cannot interact with her out of possibly making Ricky depressed, but does interact with Sam and Olivia. Her personality is very charming, perky, and maybe slightly morbid due to her knowing she's dead in the current timeline. She has trouble with using the correct time verbiage, accidently let's slip things that will happen in the future or have happened in other universes. Even breaking the 4th wall at times. She was one of favorite characters to write, but sadly went underused.

One last side character was a jinn named Dia. She's more like the traditional jinn or genies of folklore, as she can use her powers for malevolent things, but only when she feels its necessary. She was sealed in a pack of playing cards in Las Vegas, and eventually ended up in the small town, freed by a young kid who just wanted a ton of candy, which she happily granted. Dia's typical form is a little similar to Bill, simply being a geometric shape, in this case a teal diamond with a single eye. She does have a human form, a young woman with a love for the 70s aesthetic. She does find the town to a bit too quiet for her liking, but learns to like the slower pace and enjoying her freedom. She doesn't interact with my other characters all that much, I don't think Ricky's even met her, and that's on purpose. I wanted Dia to have a separate life apart from the main cast as she wanders the town as a vibrant yet enigmatic being.

With all this mind...I got my work cut out for me. XD I started writing all these characters and dozens of slice of life, adventure, and art over the course of nearly nine years! Yes, as in real life nine years! Its...its a lot. But it's a work I'm so proud of still and a testament to how I can stick with a story for the long haul.

I'm considering starting to write the story after finishing Come What May, but will probably work on the first chapter draft of it during all that. Kinda like how Candle on the Water is a breather between my main fic.

usually i prefer to write in silence bc music can distract me very easily. Autistic Brain goes brrrr & starts honing in on lyrics & going off on daydream trains instead of being able to produce coherent sentences, same with videos being on or talking going on around me. however. for some reason with elijah one of the best ways to get myself in character is through his playlist & i generally have it playing while writing him, even though the silence thing still stands for other kinds of writing, so ????? my boy's an outlier as per usual

HRNRNAND. i love love love his organised crime & serial killer verses. please for the love of fuck give me more threads in those. in my time since starting rp i've actually written more villains than non - villains so it falls into my Niche™, my familiarity zone if u will, & those verses give me room to explore darker sides of elijah's character & satisfy my Villain Cravings even while he is usually not one u feel ?

dbd / android verse is also fun when i get to write in it, again bc of the whole different side of the character angle, & i've never written non - human / sci - fi stuff iirc so it's new to me ! as for ones i haven't really gotten to write in yet but would like to, i feel like the hunger games would be fun bc of how many possibilities there are just in that alone ( being from the same district, tribute parade / costume stuff, training room threads, interviews, being in the arena itself, fighting or allying, post - games victor interactions, etc ), & the umbrella academy, at least when i'm writing with hargreeves muses in the version of the verse where elijah grew up at the manor, lets me dig into sibling relationships when he doesn't usually have anything like that. stranger things would also be eyes emoji.

i'm still in the process of painstakingly trying to make a six of crows verse for him without it feeling like he's too similar to other characters' canon arcs / traits ( he's a smartmouth gay flirt with addictions ...... & has a well - connected father who abuses him for not being able to read or write ...... & has trauma related to sex & sex work like. he is just a jigsaw of the fucking canon characters chief this isn't easy ) BUT once i get that up i crave grishaverse interactions so bad

well i started writing on tumblr when i was 12 so. hopefully i'm significantly better in multiple ways by now. but talking more recently, i've definitely become more comfortable & at ease with writing more simplistically, not feeling pressured to whip out the prose & poetic wording all the time, not trying to blow everyone away with my sheer writing prowess with every word out of my damn computer. i still like to exercise my more wordy style in fics & oneshots i write for friends or in my spare time but i find rping a lot more fun when i can just relax & let it flow as it may instead of trying to make it sound impressive

Favorite themes to write?

some of my favorite themes to write are political intrigue and just writing about life within any sort of atristocracy or upper class and the dark side of it, espesially from the perspective of someone who is an outsider to that way of life. a theme that is featured prominently in vali's story. i really like hurt/comfort and angst but not like....whump, extreme whump. i cant deal with like just torturing a character with no relief in sight or like, wobbifying a character for the sake of that. i prefer to explore the themes of reaction to trauma, overcoming trauma and pain, how we seek out comfort in people and activities and how different characters react to this, characters trauma bonding and the possible unhealthy ramifications of that, growing past the pain and learning from the past, shit like that is very cathartic to write about as someone with c-ptsd?? idk.

i also really like writing like, general adventure/exploratory rps where characters have to go off and survive in the wilderness and have to rely on eachother and everyone gets a chance to show off their skills even if a character isn't particularly survival savvy which honestly sometimes are the funniest or most dramatic ones. im a sucker for horror related stuff, though usually the horror i've written so far has been very subdued or like, very much a background element, so i would like to write more horror/suspense type rps in the future.

one of my guilty pleasures is urban fantasy plots, of a fantasy being trying to survive undetected within human society, whether it be modern equivalent or in another time period, i love that shit. another guilty pleasure is monster/human, and monster/monster, just the theme of discovery, particularly in a romantic sense, with a lover that is so different from you but also finding the similarities between two very different beings. love writing characters that can qualify as like, cryptids or monsters, and i love exploring the dynamic of the monster hunter or researcher and the monster. i love anything that explores liminal spaces and existence, cosmic horror and the vastness and power of the greater picture, the universe, etc etc. lovecraftian horror is right up my street.

action/fighting rps are super fun, but lately i've been craving action rps where characters are fighting together, not against eachother. and characters having to combine their skills and abilities to achieve something, everyone getting a chance to show off and everyone getting a chance to show weakness. i like the idea of two very different or diametrically opposed characters teaming up because of their surprisingly compatible team style. also i love and want more enemies to friends to lovers too--

in general i would like to write more roleplays with overarching plots and storylines that tie into the smaller, interpersonal storyline/plot, which sometimes can be difficult to achieve with the format of tumblr rp but ive done it before and it's fun! i'd also like to do more spontaneous roleplays where characters are interacting on the dash in a fluid conversational way, you may have seen me do some rps like that with @xaallo and i really find those types of rps really easy to get into, and it reminds me of the more fluid and i guess spontaneous format tumblr rp used to have. dont get me wrong, i love plotting, but sometimes those rps that come out of nowhere are really fun and the easiest to reply to because they are topical to whatever is interesting the muses or going with whatever the dash topic is.

Rebel isn't from the same story as trinket and nebula, and trinket is a muifandom oc, meaning that I put trinket in a lot of fandoms, the trinket in this drawing being the original

Rebel was originally a nexo Knights oc, but I've made a version that can be used in multiple fandoms/stories besides nexo knights, and that's the version I will use here

Rebel is a lava monster who can be summoned from a spell book if she is ever killed, she just goes back into the book and waits to be summoned back to the real world, this book still has many completely blank pages after the page showing rebel, and ripped pages where her description used to be only 2 pages of the description are left,

the creator of the book decided that rebel was a lost cause, sense she would never turn out the way she was supposed to.

Rebel was supposed to seem innocent and childiah, but actually be violent and deadly, with the power to controll heat, ranging from a warm summer day, to burning hot lava, when her powers are activated the brown patches on her skin turn black, looking like stone, with what seems to be visible lava flowing through her veins instead of blood.

but rebel always turned out to just be an innocent and friendly child, who just wanted a family, she did turn out with the lava abilitys though, but mostly used these powers to bake and cook with her bare hands, or to give someone the perfect warm hug,

Rebel was discarded, her book can be found in a garbage can or at the dump, she just patently waits to be summoned again.

If she's ever used in a story or rp, a random character within this story will find the discarded book and acedentally summon this innocent and niev child, who will claim the summoner as her parent, what happens next with her is up to whoever finds her

Trinket coppervine forestgear has two origin story's, depending on where she is used and what works best with the story,

In her cannon origin trinket was a a blacksmith from an isolated small town, separated from modern day, this town was called ironsteam village, and is a heavily steam punk themed place,

Trinket has worked in that blacksmith shop sense she was 9, due to ironsteam village claiming that children where old enough to start working at around 8, wich resulted in many young children getting injured due to jobs being too dangerous,

Trinket lost two of her fingers in an accident with the weapons rack when she was 11, wich is also how she got the scars on her cheek,

Eventually when trinket was 15, she got bored of work and was curious of the world outside of ironsteam village, and set out on her adventure, wich is where whatever story she is placed in begins.

Her second back story is pretty much the same other than she worked at a clock tower and started working there when she was 6, and lost two fingers in the cogs and gears of the clock towers when she was 8,

In either story you go with trinkets personality is pretty much the same,

Trinket is a curious and friendly young teenager who likes to help where she can, and loves to explore and find out new things, she's creative and resourceful, using what she has to work with to solve her problems,

Trinket does have dyslexia though, making reading a little hard, and also has some trouble holding things sense she's missing a few fingers, she can also get a little pushy at times, and also ends up panicking at certain things.

Nebula nadara silvara is the princess of a race called " elemental weavers "

Nebula is a kind and generous princess who does her best to help around her kingdom and make her subjects happy, both of her parents are still alive and rule the kingdom, nebula just likes to help where she can,

Her usual story is,

A greed weaver from a tribe of purposefully corrupted elemental weavers manages to lure nebula away from her home,

Nebula gets lost, unable to find her way back, and now has to try and get home,

This is usually how she ends up meeting the other characters in any story she's involved in.

Info a about the race

Elemental weavers are a race wich evolved along side humans, but mostly kept themselves seacret, and are able to live almost everywhere, but prefer caves and forests, these creatures are closely related to spiders, and can even produce spider silk, wich is where the " weaver" part of the name comes from,

Elemental weavers can live for around 400 years, nebula being 99 years old, wich to this race is considered to be rather young to this race a 40 year old still counts as a child, and 50 through 100 counts as being a teenager.

Elemental weavers also each have a special power that they usually unlock between ages 10 and 40, once their power is discovered their first name is changed to their middle name, and their first name is changed to be something related to their element,

Their hair will also change from grey to matching their new element, and they will gain related markings on the natural armor like plating on their skin, it is also sometimes possible for a weaver to have 2 elements, or end up with a different element later in life, it's even possible to lose an element.

It is also normal for elemental weavers to have different amounts of eyes, going from 1 eye to 24 eyes, the number of scarf arms also usually match the number of eyes, these weavers don't actually have arms, and never have, instead using natural telepathic abilitys to control scarves or ropes made of weaver silk that they wear around either their necks or waists,

Elemental weavers are also incredibly accepting and understanding, so it's completely normal to meet a, LGBT+ weaver and they will gladly allow humans and other races to live in their kingdoms.

( sorry about how long this was, I just had a lot of info on these characters and really like my elemental weavers race, they are a little flawed though sense I made them when I was 13, but I'll keep working on improving them ^-^)

Hi! I saw you answer an ask about your OC Alyssum and I was instantly pulled in. I went to your list of muses to go read some stuff on her but the link isn't working for some reason. Care to share? 😁 also what other hcs do you have about her (optional w/mugo) 👀

I THINK THAT’S MY FAULT, I keep tagging her as available muse but she’s technically listed as “npc” on the muse post because I didn’t want to introduce her yet (so far story wise, she only appears through dialog and hasn’t popped out yet, hard since she’s at Highgrove and setting is in Hallownest). However, her muse has been... oddly strong lately, I keep drawing and doing tiny rp scenes with her with few friends just to test the waters with her and BOY IT’S KIND OF... INTERESTING.

She might be “oopsie haha murder” kind of character but she’s also playing the nobility part quite well. She’s “polite”, invites bugs for a tea, a little chatter (maybe even a friendly one, she’s capable of it), possibly propositions, no refusal, nice job offers~ or death. One always gets to choose, acting like they have an option but forcefully narrows it to few and plays on mental and emotional state at such circumstances. Tricky~

I have yet to develop the details of her faction and who’s in it but very few people will be. Wasps I already covered, I just have to work around clan leader that’s in contact with Alyssum. Others would be black market dealers (lead merchant), underground snail-mail (postal snail), one of the weavers who’s good with seals and couple of others~ I need to brainstorm on this still. :0

Damn, I already rambled about this and didn’t talk about her much, hold on *throws Alyss tidbits under read more if tumblr allows it to work...*

She was looked after by Magnolia and basically raised by her, some time after she turned to be a queen. Fun tidbits about Magnolia family as a whole, they are not related to one another (mostly) but consider themselves a big family because they took down the previous queen and king of Highgrove while raising from poverty. However, Magnolia and her followers were never kind and forgiving, but with promises that there will be change in balance of the hierarchy, they got a lot of followers and supporters from commoners to usurp the royalty and did so successfully.

Alyssum was young when this happened so while she was somewhat birthed under poverty, she was fully raised as a noble. I don’t have much of her childhood worked out but there isn’t much to say aside from that she was raised and thought under the cruel but rich conditions of the kingdom.

The binding seal on her wings she earned not long before she met Mugo, almost like a sign for maturity and set under higher position in the family and not just as a student. The seals are powerful magic that uses soul, sewed in with magic by the weaver and afterwards trained to use it. It manifests through the shape of petals: swirling, cutting, chipping, slashing or severing, depending on the number of petals created, used, how fast, how they’re choreographed... It’s all soul but she can use regular flower petals that make less damage but not much soul required. Alyss can also use the wings as a shield since the binding is right on them and actually getting through them with anything is worse than trying to cut the metal open. (like, I imagined in game moves, if you know how THK blocks twice then slashes, she does similar things with wings, where she blocks two times but then bursts open the wings to blow the opponent back to the other side of the screen)

But you know, she’s a lady~ Of course she won’t get her hands dirty. :3c She has others to do that for her~

As for her and Mugo... (OH BOY HERE WE GOOOO~!)

I have to say, their relationship and love was rather genuine, it kind of makes me sad it ended up the way it did... With Magnolia, Alyss (and even Zeeke and his family) still visiting Hallownest some time before Pure Vessel was sealed and before infection went crazy (I canonize, by human years, that that was 20ish years before current events, since Hornet seems 15-18ish years old but who knows with bugs~ I just needed approximate idea for the setting). They were at City of tears but Mugo met her somewhere close to it, as she was hiding away from the nobles to explore the outside on her own and spotted Mugo.

Sure, Mugo crushed on her first but when she tested him by giving away her symbol necklace and pedant of White Magnolia for him to sell at black market and get good money, he refused because it was a memento from someone dear to him. It still is... he didn’t take it off because this is when their love was true and pure... Alyss never forget that either. It was very touching to her.

Their relationship was fine, both shared nothing in common but that was such a fun time for both because of it. They were clicking because they were like two different puzzles pieces that do fit together... but sadly, the pieces didn’t give the right picture when one by the other. (don’t you hate when this happens when you’re trying to puzzle grass or sky together?? *shot*) 

Alyssum explained to Mugo how Magnolia works. He didn’t like it one bit, as he ran away from Highgrove partially because they usurped the old rulers and rendered his family’s status almost homeless. Meanwhile, Alyss didn’t like that Mugo kept throwing himself in danger for his job, even if it’s a hobby that means a lot to him, all for sake of survival and geo.

They dated for some time, had fun, but slowly things started kind of... falling apart. The closer Alyss was to heading back to Highgrove the more she pressured Mugo to come with, become part of the family and live with her under riches the Magnolia offers. His counter proposal was, if they’re really in love and she is aware of Magnolia’s wrongdoings, that she would leave them instead and live with him while making the adventures she loved hearing about from him, together. Basically, Mugo put his love for her over riches or anything but Alyss wanted him for herself under the comfort and safety of Magnolia. She couldn’t throw that away, not after building the status and becoming a favorite to Magnolia herself. She thought this was selfish of Mugo but Mugo tried to explain it was for her changing a new leaf and starting over as something good, not ruled by fear and power.

So they started to disagree... argue... and finally physically fight. Of course, Alyss won. Mugo isn’t a fighter. At that moment, it was either she has him or no one does. For Mugo, he could only bark threats. So he did, angered, throwing words he couldn’t even imagine himself doing. When she lighted up her wings, he threatened he will cut them off. So in retribution, she cut him, scaring his face. He saw something or someone completely different then. Mugo ran for his life, leaving Alyss alone.

That was the last time they saw each other, 20ish years ago. Mugo hid away at the lake of Unn and suffered depression and withdrawal for a very long time. As for Alyss... she pulled off something she shouldn’t and Mugo didn’t know about...

He only got one last letter from her, to met her one more time at the Crossroads before she leaves for Highgrove, saying she wants to try one more time and... that she had a surprise for him. He didn’t respond. She waited for him there then left when he never showed...

That was that. :U Until now, at least~ :3 She got to hear about her ex thanks to Zeeke’s shenanigans at the Colosseum~ Oh, what are the odds of the noble meeting and having issues specifically with a certain, scruffy moth~

20 years is quite a bit of time for someone with a heartbreak and power to grow... kind of crazy. Of course she never let go of it. And now she knows he’s still alive too~ Wonder what Alyss will do. :3c
