“hey.”
you look at him, chin in your hand. your fingers cover half of your mouth.
“what?”
his curls fall over his right eye. it makes you smile: how soft they are, curly they are, the way they fall over his eye. you gently brush them away.
“i have a trade offer.” he scooches closer. you lean back, he leans closer. you’re leaning against the wall now, caged in by it, the desk, the booth wall and him. your hand stays stubbornly on your chin.
“what is it?”
he wants your hand off your chin so he takes it away. he’s taken aback when you push it against his chest.
“wait, my back hurts.”
“oh.” relief. he lets you sit up but stays close, in your personal space, popping your bubble.
“well? what’s the trade?”
he watches your hair spread out against the back of the seat as you lean against it. he mirrors you and laces your hands together.
“well,” he purses his lips. “i was thinking…”
you hum. out of the corner of your eye, you see tommy from calc one. in your eyes, there’s issei.
“—that if i receive a kiss, i’ll give you in return.”
you raise a brow. “really? that’s it?”
he pouts, dipping his head lower as a hand comes up to squish your cheeks. “hey.”
you’re in public—the economic department’s study space and—,
“didn’t say ‘no’,” you grin.
he grins too, cheeks pinking when you lean up to kiss him. he tastes like the vanilla flavoured lip balm you gave him last week. a squish to your cheeks has your lips puckering lingering than you’d like them to be as he plants a swift one before finally pulling away.
“well?”
“mm?” he rests his forehead on yours.
“where’s my kiss?”
he chuckles at the endearing frown on your pretty face, thumbing over your soft cheek. “right here.”
.
a yawn and there’s tears forming in your corner of your eyes. through the kitchen window, you watch as the street lights flicker on, muddled orange yellow spots giving light to the streets.
“where did you get them?”
a look to your right, past issei’s shoulders and you see a girl with balayage highlights in her dark hair. she’s pretty, real pretty. a little blurry but you can still tell her eyes are gorgeous. you don’t know if she’s paying attention to you right behind him, sitting on the kitchen island. she asks another question, “which one’s your favourite?” you know, that which, out of the eight piercings he had, was his favourite but you’re not about to tell her. resting your head on his shoulder, you look down, accustomed to the way people tried to hit him up.
he tells her his favourite as his fingers grace along the inside of your calf. his thumb and fingers dance along the skin of your ankle, drawing images you try to visualize in your head as you close your eyes.
“right, babe?”
you glance up at him.
“sorry?”
he puts his drink down and turns around, facing you entirely. you half wish he wasn’t so broad and tall so you’d be able to see who else was around you.
“tired?” he mumbles, kissing your forehead.
“a little.” you sit up straighter, stretching a little. the girl with the nice golden hair is half a ways away, walking back to her group of friend who start to comfort her. “what were you talking about earlier?”
“the time hiro almost broke the chair at the shop with how hard his leg had kicked when he got his.”
you hum, admiring how good he looks in the starchy yellow light. “did it hurt?” you rub a finger over his bushy brow, lighting passing over the studs in his skin.
“my piercings? or his?” he has a hand on your knee now, other one over yours on the counter. he watches as you giggle, tipping away a little more than you would if it wasn’t for the red solo cup in your left hand.
“no,” you lilt. he laughs along with you, kissing you through your cute fit of laughter.
“meant when you fell from heaven,” you slur, breaking away into another melody of giggles.
he chuckles, putting your arms around his neck as he carries you, keeping you tucked tight against his chest. “do i look like i came from heaven, babe?”
you nod, lying your head on his shoulder as he takes you to the car, to home, to heaven.
.
he feels you before he sees you, arms around his waist, head between his shoulders.
“you’re back.” he automatically puts his hands over yours and also over the large mango in your hand.
“‘m back.”
“why’re you holding a mango?”
“it’s huge,” sugawara snorts. “the heck you get that from?”
you release your arms to stand next to them, holding the precious fruit in the palm of your hands. “from the grocery store.”
“why a mango?” sugawara takes a sip of his caramel macchiato.
you shrug, rubbing the smooth skin.
“y’gonna eat it like an apple?” he continues.
you shrug again. “maybe.”
sugawara looks at issei, who shrugs at well, before announcing his leave for his chemistry class.
issei looks down at you and offers his coffee which you shake your head at. “why’d you get a mango?”
“it was all i could afford,” you say. “wanna share?”
he chuckles, “sure. you hungry though?”
you grin, tucking the mango into your armpit and putting your palms together. “snacks?”
he puts his hand into yours, placing a kiss on your forehead. “got mints, but i’ll treat you to something at the new korean restaurant.” he leads you along to the school’s food court, buying you a plate of black bean noodles and pork dumplings on the side to share. you share your large mango, bought for $1.29 plus tax. you cut it into three and he gets the juice all over his hands when he takes the middle part with the refuse. the fruit is tender and he laughs when it slips out of your hand a tad only for you to use your chin to stop it from falling. it’s sweet, sticky and you have to hold onto his phone while he washes his hands in the washroom.
“hand cream?”
he pockets his phone and nods, holding his hand out for you. “is it mango-scented?”
“nope” you squeeze out a generous amount out for him. “pomegranate. this is mango-scented though.” you pull out a tube of lip balm and he stills his head, letting you put it on for him. the scent is soft, but strong and he finds himself nodding at how nice it is.
“it’s nice, isn’t it?”
he hums his agreement, helping you zip up your backpack and taking your hand to walk you to your next class. he kisses you good luck and is there to pick you up at 5:30pm on the dot, surprising you with a bag of mangoes.
.
“look!”
he looks, watching as you unpack something that’s a pretty mint green and white. “a wireless keyboard?” he reads.
you grin happily, delicately setting everything down on the table and pressing at the keys, satisfied with the sound and feel them. “wanna try?” you pass it on to him as you glimpse over the instruction manual. he taps at the keys and grabs onto the small mouse that came with it.
“this is so small,” he mutters.
“hm?” you look over to see the entirety of his palm already cover the top of the mouse. “oh.” you take it from him and while it is noticeably smaller than a regular mouse, it works just fine. “it’s fine,” you say, testing the scrolling bit.
he helps you set it up, tiny mouse and everything. sitting next to you, he watches as you open up your notes app and type gibberish onto the page, a look of sheer joy on your face. he smiles along, slotting himself behind you while you type away like a little secretary.
“think you’re gonna be more productive?”
“nope!” you laugh. “but at least it’s cute; it’s for the aesthetic, ‘sei.”
he snickers, placing his much larger hands over yours as he too, types away on your new keyboard, mashing keys and filing the screen.
“stooop.” you move to swat his hands. “i can’t move my hands!”
he laughs, enveloping them entirely despite your protests but eventually does let you go after a couple of thrashes and elbows to his stomach.
“it’s a nice keyboard though,” he adds, kissing your forehead.
you huff, returning a kiss to the corner of his mouth. “‘course. i have good taste, y’know.”
“mhm,” he chuckles, hand coming up to hold your jaw gently as he plants a full one on your lips. “i know.”

Babysitting with Chris Evans
Summary: Your best friend and her husband had to leave town urgently and asked you and Chris for help to babysit their baby girl.
Check out my Masterlist!
Tumblr media
(Photo not mine! Also, how adorable is that baby! <3)
“Baby, look what I’ve got!” Chris’ voice reverberated through the corridors as he bounded into the kitchen where you were.
Before you could look up from the pot of gravy you were stirring, you heard Chris dropped a bunch of shopping bags onto the table.
“Wh-What did you you do, Chris!” You quickly turned off the fire and walked towards Chris, your face plastered with bewilderment.
“Just a bunch of things we’ll need for Baby Cara tomorrow!” Chris beamed as he slowly lifted out the items one by one from the shopping bags, proudly showing off his conquest.
“Look, I got a Nursery Rhyme book, a toy bunny, this little keyboard that makes sounds when you press them, a mini bowling set, this cute little pink hairbrush, these ultra adorable tutus, storybooks, play-doh, these really delicious and healthy snacks, and...” As if a finale for a magic show, Chris dramatically revealed from the last shopping bag, “A toy house with dolls!”
“Oh. My. God. Chris.” You rolled your eyes. Ever since your best friend called you this morning seeking urgent help from you and Chris to watch their baby girl for the weekend while she and her husband had to leave town to settle some important family matters, Chris had not stopped hopping around the house like an Energizer bunny. A few hours ago, he bolted out of the house saying he would need to get some supplies, and here he was, with all these sitting on the table.
“And a squeaky toy? For Cara?” You peered into the bag and took out an item he missed during his showcase.
“Oh right! This is for Baby Cara to play with Dodger!” Chris took the toy from your hand and happily squeezed it a few times, making squeaks that summoned Dodger into the kitchen.
“Hey buddy, we’re going to have a baby here tomorrow! How awesome is that!” Chris bent down and began to pat an excited Dodger.
“We don’t need to wait till tomorrow. I already have two babies here to watch.” You laughed as you watched Chris and Dodger rolling right there in the middle of the kitchen.
The next morning, Chris woke up earlier than usual and by the time you woke up, he was already eagerly waiting for the arrival of Cara. As soon as he saw you, he pestered you to check your phone to see if your friend was arriving soon.
“Yes, Chris, they’re reaching in less than 10 minutes. Take a deep breath.” You teased.
The doorbell rang and before you could react, Chris and Dodger were already at the door, welcoming the special guest.
“Hey, Belle, how are you?” You went forward and gave your friend a hug.
“I am good! Thank you so much for agreeing to watch Cara for the weekend! Mike and I really appreciate it!” Mike came running towards you from his car and thanked you profusely as well.
“Yes, thank God for you and Chris! We’re sorry to bother you!” Mike said as he handed you a bag with Cara’s items.
You took over the bag and waved your hand nonchalantly. “Chris had been really excited since you called yesterday. You won’t believe the amount of things he bought!” You laughed as you turned and see Chris cuddling with Cara next to you.
“It’s our pleasure to watch your sweet little girl!” Chris chirped. “We’re going to have a fun weekend, won’t we?” Chris cooed and Cara giggled.
You waved goodbye to your friends and closed the door behind you. You turned and saw that Chris were already showing off all the items he had bought for Cara in the living room.
You sat down on the sofa and watched them as they played on the mat. Chris looked so happy and adorable with Cara that you couldn’t help but snapped a few photos and videos of their interactions. Cara seemed to love Chris as well, she was pleasantly chuckling away as Chris made silly faces at her.
Seeing that Cara had settled in nicely, you excused yourself into the kitchen to get Cara her morning snack. What you saw melted your heart even more when you returned with the fruit snacks that Chris had bought yesterday.
There sitting on the mat was Cara nestled nicely on Chris’ lap, while Chris showed her how to play with the doll house. “This is Mummy, Daddy, and, Baby Cara in their lovely house! And here’s your aunt Y/N, and uncle Chris... Oh and look. Dodger is here as well! We all looooove you so much!” Chris narrated as he moved the dolls around the house. Cara laughed and buried her face in Chris’ chest. With a protective hand, Chris gently patted on Cara’s back as he laughed along with her.
The day seemed to roll along very quickly, with never ending sounds of giggles from both Cara and Chris. Cara had taken a liking to Dodger as well, as she constantly fell over with laughter when Dodger bites the squeaky toy. Suddenly the house was even more lively than usual now that you have three kids around the house. Although being the oldest in the house, Chris was still like the biggest child.
After lunch, Cara refused to take her afternoon nap. Instead, she picked up the books and requested for Chris to read to her. It was heartwarming to see Chris and Cara on the couch, with Cara sat nicely on Chris’ lap again, as he turned the pages and read the stories animatedly. You smiled to yourself seeing how happy Chris looked as he spent time with Cara.
When Cara had finally fallen asleep that night on a makeshift cot next to your bed with Chris’ gentle singing, Chris crept under the blankets next you. “You must be tired playing with her all day! And your face must be cramping up by now seeing how much you smiled today.” You giggled.
“Not really! I’m still full of energy!” Chris whispered excitedly.
“Well I guess Belle and Mike found the right person to watch their baby. I’ll offer them your service again in future, Mister.”
“I’d love that.” Chris smiled. “But what I would love even more, is having our own babies. What do you think?” Chris smirked and in a quick and swift motion, crawled on top of you.
“Someone’s ready to be a father, I see.” You teased him with a sexy look.
“Always ready.”

Have you ever overflown a bathtub? Hmm, I can’t remember ever doing that.
Why did you ignore the last person you ignored? My new manager, Kata, messaged me a bunch of links to EXO’s videos to get me into them – I looooove that she’s friendly and we vibe super well so I have a feeling will be close soon enough, but I’m still a bit shy so I ignored her for a bit while I was thinking of a reply haha. I’ve since gotten back to her, though.
What's your favorite pizza place? Yellow Cab’s pizzas have never failed me. Mama Lou’s is good too, but they don’t deliver to my area so I haven’t had their pizzas and any of their food in over a year now.
What was the last stupid thing someone talked you into believing? That we can stay friends. I believed it for a while and it was so mentally and emotionally deteriorating for me, so I did the right thing and let go instead.
What's at the top of your to do list in life? Save. I’m superrrrr frugal with my money and hate spoiling myself. I’d rather enjoy everything in the future once I feel like it’s right to settle down.
What's a song that would describe your life at the moment? What Type of X by Jessi. Maybe not my life, but the song certainly matches my mood these days.
Do you ever scream at inanimate objects? Occasionally, if they’re not working or if I accidentally hurt myself with them.
What was the last thing that you shared? I just had lunch delivered to Angela’s place as a surprise, if that counts. I got her chicken wings and these chocolate chip cookies she’s always wanted to try. It feels really nice surprising people with gifts; I might start making it a habit :) I have to credit my director Bea for it - she’s been having food delivered to mine and Kata’s places recently and I just want to pay it forward.
What smell/s can you absolutely not stand? Fruits. We constantly have a stock of oranges because my parents and sister like having them after dinner, and the smell is nauseating. Spoiled food is also high up on my list, and the general smell in Manila is also very foul. Go to other places in the Philippines if you’ll ever visit!!!
Do you ever eat leftover pizza cold? Yessssssssssssssss. Idk why but I find it really good? like even if I eat it straight out of the fridge.
Where are you the most ticklish? The sides of my stomach and around my neck.
Would you put your life in danger to rescue someone? Someone absolutely important to me, yes.
When you're wanting a midnight snack, what do you normally get? I usually don’t really like the snacks we have in our pantry so unless I already had food delivered earlier in the evening I just let the hunger fade because I don’t like having food delivered that late anyway.
Which cartoon character would you want to keep as a pet? Buster from Toy Story. Or Maximus from Tangled but in dog form, because I don’t know how to care for a horse.
What color best represents you? Something peaceful like off-white, or a pastel shade.
Do you like marshmallows? I hate them.
What is your favorite flavor of candy cane? I also don’t like candy canes, or candy in general. Too sweet and I can always feel how unhealthy they are whenever I have to have them.
Do you have any shoeboxes full of old photos/letters/other memorable stuff? My mom has several plastic bags filled with photographs over the last few decades. As for me, I don’t own any memory boxes; but recently, I’ve been sticking up notes from my friends and co-workers up on my corkboard.
Are you in any way double jointed? Nope.
Have you ever considered a career in music/acting? Never. I never liked singing in public and I’ve never considered acting.
When was the last time you felt seriously embarrassed? A few days ago when I accidentally turned my camera on during a work Zoom meeting while I looked completely unpresentable. Luckily I knew I clicked the button and immediately un-clicked it, but my video still showed up for like 0.001 seconds lol.
Have you ever liked a song, looked up the lyrics to it, then hated it? I don’t think I’ve gone so far as to hate it. I have felt slightly disturbed upon hearing the lyrics of some songs I’ve taken a liking to though; and Cherry Wine by Hozier certainly ticks off this box.
Which is worse for you: being hot, or being cold? Hot, which is why living where I do doesn’t work with me well for the most part.
What would be the icing on the cake for you this Christmas? Get nicer gifts for my loved ones. I was able to get everyone presents last Christmas, but given that I had just received my first-ever salary then, I wasn’t able to go all out as much as I would’ve liked. I’d love to spoil my loved ones even more for next Christmas.
If you had the opportunity to live forever, would you take it? Probably, as long as I was guaranteed to live comfortably. I’d love to see how else technology can continue to improve.
Have you made someone happy today? I hope so, when I got Angela food earlier.
Do you generally watch a lot of television? I do watch my favorite shows a lot, but not on television. Most of my content I already consume online.
If your bedroom walls could talk, what would they most likely say? They’d probably go over all the shit I had to go through and the ensuing breakdowns they’ve had to watch from me over the years.
What's your favorite Christmas song? It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas, because it makes me feel festive.
Did you ever really believe in Santa Claus? Only for a brief moment when I was introduced to the concept, but kid-me never bought it because he never showed up.
Do you like the band Relient K? I’ve heard of the band name but I’m largely unfamiliar with them.
Have you ever seen a movie that was better than the book it was based on? Maybe, but for the most part I usually find the books to be better.
Do you like quesadillas? Yes, omg and with jalapeños and cheese *chef’s kiss*
Did you like the show Invader Zim? Nope.
Do you think tomorrow will be a good day? I feel like I’ll be sullen because it will be Sunday again, but I still plan on making the most out of it.
Do you ever talk to yourself? A lot.
Whose butt did you last slap? Idk, probably my ex.
Do you think that chivalry is dead? I don’t think so, but I also think it’s a bit outdated.
What's the greatest/most influential song you've ever heard? That’s a lot of pressure on a song... as much as I don’t really like The Beatles, I’d say Hey Jude has been pretty influential.
What's the weirdest thing you've seen in a grocery store? Not sure. If I had thought something I’ve seen was the weirdest thing ever, I would’ve taken a photo.
What is true love to you? Sacrifices.
Do you like chocolate milk? YES, lactose intolerance be damned.
Have you ever bought yourself a present on Christmas? Not yet. I hope to be able to this year!
Have you ever been on a mechanical bull? Nope, but I’d definitely get on one if I find one here.
Do you prefer to pull off band-aids slowly or quickly? Slowly. Actually, I prefer running water over it until it just slides off.
Have you made a mistake in the past week? I am constantly making tiny mistakes at work.
What was the last weird thing you said to someone? Idk, I feel like all the conversations I’ve had recently didn’t involve any inside jokes or general weirdness.
Have you ever met any bands/band members before? I got to work with one - Redd is the drummer for a local band but he’s since resigned to work with another company.
Have you ever sat on a copy machine and made copies of your butt? No. I’ve never even used a copy machine.
Are you a camera whore? Not at all, I hate posing for the camera.
Have you ever purposely dropped someone's toothbrush in a toilet? Never even considered it.
What kind of mood are you in right now? A little sad because it’s the weekend and I can’t even do my weekend coffee shop trips anymore because Covid cases are experiencing another surge (9000 cases a day!!!), protocols are everywhere again, and my parents already told me I can’t go out...those moments were my rare time alone where I can take walks and reflect and whatnot (and not to mention experieince air conditioning for a few hours), so it sucks to have to be stuck at home again. There’s not much to do at home to begin with, so now I’m just stuck in a cycle of taking surveys and finding videos to watch on YouTube.
What was the last thing someone told you that had you at a loss for words? I was ranting to Andi about how I started despising Diane from BoJack Horseman the moment she flipped out over Mr. Peanutbutter gifting her an entire library. I get where she’s coming from, of course, “understand people’s love language” and all that; but I felt like the very hostile reaction was super uncalled for and it reminded me a lot of my relationship with Gabie – I liked giving and giving, but it was either 1) never enough or 2) apparently the wrong way to show her love, and I was always the one punished for it in the end. I told Andi that because of my experience with her, I don’t even feel like giving a library (metaphorically speaking) to any future significant others anymore because of how hard I had it with her.
Anyway, they gave me some advice about it and in the end they told me, “One day, someone will tell you, “Thank you for your library.’” It was very beautifully put and I struggled to find the words to reply.
What's something that always makes you smile, regardless of what’s going on? I’m not sure there is such a no-fail thing.
What was that last thing that you bought online? Food for Angela.
Do you enjoy riding around town looking at Christmas lights? Yeah, but the general mood for last year obviously wasn’t super festive and there weren’t as much lights, so it’s been a while since I’ve seen my village all decked out.
Is there someone that you're mean to for no good reason? No, that’s terrible.
What was the last thing you got out of the freezer? The coffee ice cream that I bought from Leigh yesterday! It’s crazy fucking good and I already feel a repeat order coming through.
Are you currently reading anything? No.
What's a good book you'd recommend? I don’t read anymore. I know child/teen-me would be very disappointed.

Eggplants and Cupcakes Go Better Together Than You Think 😉
Might have forgotten about this sitting in my docs. Whoops...
Tumblr media
“Is she going to be okay?
“Ya. She’s napping right now. She’ll be a bit sore right but she’s due for more pain medicine now. I was just about to go get it.”
“And when will she be able to leave?”
“We’ll keep her overnight and see how she’s doing in the morning, but I don’t see why she can’t go home tomorrow.”
Killian thanked the nurse before moving back to his spot next to Emma’s hospital bed. He’d seen her scraped and bruised before from skips. Even with a black eye a time or two, but he’d never seen her like that. Stuck in a bed looking so frail in her hospital gown.
Two bruised ribs. That’s all, he reminded himself.
She was a tough lass, had to be to work in bail bonds, but it didn’t mean he had to like her profession. Of course, then again, if she’d had another job they never would have met. Of all the police precincts in all the world she had to walk into his. Thank the gods.
Emma was a spitfire too, not that you’d be able to tell from looking at her in that bed. Killian wanted nothing more than to break the guys face. He just needed to find him first. Well first he needed to know that Emma was alright. Then he’d find the guy.
“Hey.” Her greeting music to his ears.
“Hey yourself.”
“You didn’t have to come down here. I’m fine.”
She wasn’t. He could see the tears she was holding back, but if he knew anything about Emma it was when to push and when not to. Which was also the reason he hadn’t ask her out yet, but that was neither here nor there.
“I know. I was already in the neighborhood though.”
“Liar.”
Her laugh was soon replaced by a grimace, her hand shooting to her right side. Killian was already reaching for the call button when the nurse from earlier returned with a small vial and syringe.
“Okay, Miss Swan. Just give that a minute or two and you’ll feel right as rain.”
He thanked her again before she left once more likely to check on other patients.
“Oh, that’s nice.” A smile spread across her lips nearly as quickly as the glaze spread across her eyes and Killian had to force back a laugh. Even drugs up she wouldn’t see the humor in the situation. “Can you hand me my phone?”
Emma nodded her head towards her purse at the other end of the room. Digging through her purse he had to bypass a bag of candy bars and fruit snack to find her cell at the bottom of the bag. His Swan was ever the snacker, even taking car to leave a healthy protein bar in there for him.
She groaned when he handed the phone to her, the screen slightly cracked as she replied to texts from a concerned Mary Margaret and Ruby.
“Do you ever think emojis are weird?”
“Excuse me?”
She tilted her phone at him before continuing. It was a text from Ruby with a purple eggplant picture. He’d had little use for the pictures in his phone, but the women in his life seemed quite attached to them.
RL: Well if your going to be bedridden, might as well finally get some of that 🍆 from Jonesy!”
“What is that,” he asked. “Are you wanting me to cook you that eggplant pizza I was telling you about last week?”
Emma barked out a laugh.
“No, silly,” she slurred. “It’s code. Each picture means something. A peach means ass, an avocado means you’re basic. And so on.”
“Okay. So what is an eggplant code for?”
“Oh, that’s a dick.”
He choked on the very air he was breathing.
“But that’s what I meant about it being weird. There are all of these universal emojis about guy parts, and nothing for girls.”
There was a pause, a moment in which he didn’t know what to say. And then she yawned and managed to get out one last thought before she fell back asleep.
“I tried to send you a cupcake emoji once, but you didn’t get it and brought me actual cupcakes.”
That was it. The medicine had taken over and she fell back into a deep sleep. The nurse came back in and assured him that Emma would be asleep for the rest of the night and that he should get back home and get some sleep.
Sleep evaded him though and he tossed and turned thinking about Emma’s words and Ruby’s text.
Well if your going to be bedridden, might as well finally get some of that 🍆 from Jonesy!”
I tried to send you a cupcake emoji once, but you didn’t get it and brought me actual cupcakes.
Sometime around two in the morning, He gave in and texted Ruby, knowing she’d still be up cleaning the bar before heading home for the night.
KJ: Hey Rubes, if I sent you a picture of cupcakes, what would that mean?
The three little dots appeared and disappeared four times before he finally got his answer.
RL: Boobs. Why? What’s up?
Emma had sent him boobs leaving him more confused that ever. He sat on it for two months, instead watching Emma. Watching the way she watched him. The way she smiled at him differently than everyone else. Feeling the way her body shifted closer to him as their night movie nights went on. The way more healthy snacks found their way into bag.
How had he missed all of the signs?
So when her birthday came around two months after he brought her home from the hospital and Mary Margaret ask him to stop by Emma’s favorite dessert shop to pick up her cupcakes, he couldn’t resist when he saw a box of emoji cupcake toppers. More specifically, a large purple eggplant. He bought it, along with one lone cupcake in it’s own little box.
The night went on, drinks shared with friends, presents opened. One by one, everyone filed out of Emma’s apartment, until only he remained. He went into her kitchen, where he’d stashed that cupcake at the back of her fridge, and when she opened the box, her eyes blew wide. Apparently she thought she’d just dreamt about that conversation. But she hadn’t, and now they were both aware of the full meaning of the cupcake in front of them.
Turns out, eggplants and cupcakes go better together than you think.

It’s Always Sunny (A Dad!Shiro Fic)
Those of y’all who know me know I have an obsession with writing my favs with kids sooooo here we are. Single dad Shiro and his four young rowdy children!
Cross-Posted on Ao3
“DAD! DAD! DAD!”
Shiro was in the kitchen making lunches for everyone to take to school. Today it consisted of a peanut and jelly sandwich, a juice box, a piece of fruit (which is almost never eaten), and snack cake. Sometimes the lunches changed a little; a ham sandwich, two snack cakes, and if they are lucky, leftover dinner. But today was a little busier than usual since Shiro woke up later than he wanted to.
“DAAAADDDDDD”
Shiro sighed heavily, seemed like he already needed another cup of coffee...maybe the entire pot. He hoped the child behind him would just walk away after a few moments.
“DAAAAAAADDDDDDYYYYYYY!”
Seemed like he wasn't going get that lucky this morning. He left out a hefty sigh.
“What Lance? What is it now? You should be getting ready for school.” Shiro asked, looking down at the small child next to him. “And why are you still in your pajamas? Hunk was supposed to help you get dressed after he got out the shower.”
“I am a big boy! I don’t need his help!” Lance said, crossing his arms over his chest. “But I need yours dad.”
Shiro sighed and ran a hand through his bedhead. “What did you need Lance?”
“Keith took my toy and he won't give it back!” He whined, pulling on Shiro’s pajama pants.
“Neither of you should be playing with toys. You need to be getting ready for school.” Shiro said, putting the sandwich in a plastic bag. “We can’t be late again.” he said, yawning loudly.
“But daadddddd.”
“Don’t but daaaaaaddd me. Go get ready and tell Keith to come here.” he said, reaching over to take a huge gulp of his coffee, wishing it had a little more kick than it had. The younger child went running out, yelling Keith's name.
“You're too loud, Lance! You'll wake up Pidge.” Hunk said quietly from the doorway from the bathroom. Lance huffed and headed back to tell Keith what their dad has told him.
Shiro had managed to fix up the rest of the lunches before he heard a huff and whine from behind him. He knew that little huff from a mile away.
“Keith, why did you take Lance’s toy?” he asked, turning to face him. Keith was standing in front of him- arms crossed, pout in full force, and some crazy bed head to match.
“Well, he left it in the bathroom…” Keith started, his pout getting deeper.
“And you kept it?” Shiro asked, his tone getting more stern.
“Yes. He left it alone. So it's mine. Finders keepers.”
“That's not how that works Keith.” Shiro said.
“Yes, it is.”
Shiro let out a deep sigh and rubbed his temples. It was too early to argue with a six-year-old.
“Keith, could you just give him the toy back for the morning. You guys need to get ready for school. Now, go back to your room and get dressed. I will help you brush your teeth.”
“I'm a big boy now. I can brush my own teeth...” He grumbled as he walked to the back of the house to get dressed.
Shiro finished everyone's lunch, finishing off his coffee before going to address the madness happening in the back of the house. He didn't get two steps into the hallway before Hunk came running up to him.
“I'm sorry, dad! I tried to get Lance to get dressed but he complained about the shirt you picked out and he wanted to wear the one with the dinosaurs but I couldn't find it and then he started crying.  But then Keith took Lance’s toy and that started a fight and I heard Pidge whine and and and.” Hunk rambled, obviously stressed out.
“Hunk. Hunk calm down. It's okay. You should have told me earlier and I would have come back here sooner. Just go get ready. I got it from here. Relax and get ready for school. You have a big test today. Oh, and I bought a new bottle your favorite lotion. It's on my dresser.” Shiro said with a smile, ruffling his hair.
“Aww, thanks, dad! You're the best” Hunk said with a big smile, giving him a hug then running toward his room.
Shiro heard some yelling coming from the room in the back as well as the quiet whines from his own room. He decided he would deal with Pidge first. He walked into his room and the two-year-old child sleeping in his bed had woken up, rubbing her eyes and crying softly.
“Sleepy! I sleepy!” Pidge whined, still rubbing her eyes. Shiro sighed softly and picked up the child and held her in his hip. She laid her head down on his shoulder and tried to fall back asleep.
“Just go back to sleep. I know it's loud in here and I'm sorry.” He said, patting her back before heading the other room with the two screaming boys.
“Hey, stop yelling. You already woke up Pidge and you nearly made Hunk have a panic attack. You two need to relax.” Shiro said in his sternest tone.
Both boys looked up at him and pouted.
“Keith started it!” Lance said, pointing to Keith.
“Nuh-uh! You were being a baby and started crying.” Keith said, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Enough. It doesn't matter. Both of you, go get your clothes so I can get you two dressed.” Shiro said, still patting Pidge’s back.
Both of them opened their mouths to stay something else but Shiro shot them both a look. They closed their mouths and dragged their feet to get dressed.
Shiro sighed softly and went back to his bedroom and laid her down. A couple extra minutes of sleep would do wonders for her later in the day. He returned to the boys stripped down to their character briefs and fighting each other.
“This never ends with you two, does it?” He said, half talking to them. He reached out and grabbed a flailing limb and pulled it towards him. Looked like he got Keith first. “Stay still.” He commanded, pulling his shirt on over his little head and moving on to his pants. “One foot at a time.” He said, leaning down to help the boy put his legs inside of his pants. Once over his legs, He pulled them up and buttoned them quickly. “Go to the bathroom and get your toothbrush ready.” He said to Keith as he grabbed Lance’s shirt. The boy went running out of the room.
“But I wanna wear the dinosaur one! Kelsey and Cindy like the dinosaur shirt!” He whined, trying to shrink away from his dad.
“You decided to fight with your brother all morning instead of looking for your shirt. So now you get to wear what I picked out. Kelsey and Cindy will have to wait.” Shiro said, slipping the blue shirt over Lance's head. He grabbed his shorts and helped him with those too. He quickly buttoned them and stood up. “Come on. Let's go brush your teeth and comb your hair.” Shiro said, standing up with a groan.
Lance followed him to the bathroom where Keith had managed to squeeze half the bottle of toothpaste out into his brush.
Keith turned around and confidently showed him his toothbrush covered in bright blue toothpaste. “See! I told you I can do it myself, dad!” He said with a smile.
Shiro chuckled and pat his head. “Yeah...you did it, buddy. Congrats. Maybe next time, use a little bit less.” He said, grabbing Lance's toothbrush and putting a small amount on his handed it to them. Both boys immediately started to brush their teeth as best they could. Shiro grabbed a brush and ran it through Keith's unruly hair first.
“Remember to get the front teeth, the back teeth, and your tongue. But don't stick it down too far. I'm not cleaning up cereal vomit again.” He said, getting Keith's hair into a manageable hairstyle. They were already late so he didn't have time for much else.
“One at a time in the sink.” Shiro called out as he could already see the impending argument that was going to happen when they needed to spit. Shiro ran the brush through Lance's hair a couple times. “There. Now I gotta get dressed so get your mouths rinsed out and shoes on. If I hear you guys fighting, I'm taking the cakes out of your lunches.” He said before heading to his room to throw in sweatpants and a sweatshirt. He grabbed Pidge and put her on his hip and grabbed her stroller out the corner of the room.
Shiro walked the boys to the front of the school every day, regardless of weather or how he was feeling. Lance, even though he claimed he “was five-years-old and did need help anymore” still gets a little upset every time Shiro has to leave him in the kindergarten class alone. Keith always got a little sentimental at the goodbye hug Shiro gave him before he ran into the front gates. Hunk always gave Shiro a hug before he left, even when Shiro gave him the option to go on ahead of everyone when they got to the school since most eleven year olds didn’t want to be seen with their parents. But Hunk was different. He always took his hug with a smile and gave Pidge a kiss on the cheek before heading out. Shiro silently dreaded when Hunk wanted to go to school on his own, know his little boy was growing up.
Shiro was twenty-four when he started his journey into parenthood. Hunk was his first kid. Hunk’s parents were a close friend of Shiro’s when they were in college. He was named his godfather when the kid was born but he never imagined that he would actually have to take that responsibility seriously. Hunk’s parents died in a tragic accident and both sets of grandparents were unable to take the two-year-old boy. So Shiro was next in line, having the decision to take him in or leave him to the state. It was then and there that Shiro threw in all his chips and became a parent.
Fast forward a couple years later and he saw Keith, a quiet little orphan. He had some behavioral issues which kept him alone but that didn't scare Shiro. Shiro had wanted to start being a foster parent after he had taken care of Hunk for so many years and he felt that Keith would be a good start to their little family. Within a year of fostering Keith, Shiro had set up adoption papers for him as well. Before he knew it, Shiro had four kids in his house - Pidge being his latest and seemly last one. His little three bedroom apartment was getting awfully full now with all these growing kids.
Hunk is eleven years old and in fifth grade, Keith is six years old and in the first grade, Lance was five and in kindergarten, and his youngest Pidge was two years old and already independent as she could be.
“Dad! We’re ready to goooo!” Lance called out from the living room.
“I’ll be there in a second!” he said as he grabbed a random pair of shoes and slipped them on He grabbed Pidge and the stroller and headed out to the living room.
“Grab your lunches. Make sure to put them in your backpacks. I don’t need another phone call saying that one of you forgot your lunch.” Shiro said, grabbing the keys off the kitchen counter. “Okay everyone double check everything. Backpacks?”
“Check!” All three said in unison.
“Notebooks?”
“Check!”
“Lunches?”
“Check!”
“Last night’s homework?”
There was a pause as both Lance and Keith opened their backpacks to see if their homework folder was in there. “Check!”
“Hunk, do you have your phone?”
‘Yup.” he said with a smile.
“Okay then, let's go. Keith and Lance, no fighting about who is getting what seat. One of you needs to sit in the middle.” He said as they all headed out to the car. Shiro made sure to put Pidge in her car seat first before jumping onto the driver's seat. Everyone got in the car with minimal arguments this time and Shiro headed out to the school.
Once at the school, Shiro found a parking spot after about ten minutes of road rage in the parking lot. He unloaded the stroller and put Pidge in it while everyone climbed out the car.
Lance pulled on the back of Shiro’s sweatshirt. “Dad…”
Shiro turned around and raised his eyebrows. “What’s up buddy?”
Lance pulled him down so he could whisper in his ear. “I accidentally left Mr.Bun Bun at home…”
“I thought he was in your backpack?”
“I got scared last night and took him out of my backpack to sleep and I forgot to put him back inside.” he said, the little tears forming in his eyes before he had a chance to wipe them away.
“Lance, don’t cry. Mr. Bun Bun will be fine. I’ll bring him when I come to pick you up in the afternoon.” Shiro said, wiping his tears with his thumbs.
“But...But...But….” Lance stuttered, trying to hold back his tears.
“Hey, it's time to be the big boy you are always telling me you are. I can’t just go back home and bring him back. School will have already started by then. You’ll be okay without him for half a day.” Shiro said, using his sweatshirt to wipe the snot from his nose. “Can you be a big boy today?”
Lance wiped a few more tears and nodded. Shiro smiled and gave him a kiss on the head. “Okay then. Let’s go.” he said, holding Lance’s hand with one hand and pushing the stroller with the other.
Once they got to the front gate, they all turned towards Shiro. Shiro got down gave Keith a hug first. “Be good today and try to talk to another kid today, okay? You can’t be alone forever or wait until Lance gets out of Kindergarten.” Shiro said. Keith sighed and nodded.
“I’ll try…” he said, giving Shiro a little bit of a frown.
“Hey, it’s going to be okay. I’m going to pick you up right here after school like I always do. You don’t have to worry. Find Hunk after school and I’ll be waiting right here.” He said, reassuring Keith. He gave him a kiss on the head and smiled. Keith gave him another hug before standing up.
Hunk gave Shiro a tight hug as always. “Love you, dad.”
“Love you too Hunk. Good luck on your test today. You studied a lot so I you got this in the bag.” He said, patting his back. Hunk bent down and gave Pidge a kiss on the cheek.
“Bye bye Pidge. See you later!”
Pidge smiled and waved at Hunk and Keith, who left hand in hand through the front gate. Now, all Shiro had to do was walk Lance to the kindergarten room.
Lance held Shiro’s hand tightly as they went through a side gate and ended up in front of the smaller but much more frantic Kindergarten area.  Other parents were lined up around the gates as well, saying bye to their kids.
“Remember, what I said, Lance?” Shiro said, picking him up and giving him a hug. Lance wrapped his arms tight around Shiro’s neck and nodded.
“I ‘member.” he said with a smile. Shiro kissed his temple and put him down.
"Okay then. Go have fun today. I'll be here with Mr. Bun Bun at one to pick you up."
“Bye dad!” the boy said before running off to go hang with his friends.
Shiro sighed happily and watch him play for a moment.
“Oh, Shiro. Every time I see you with little Lance, my heart is ready to burst open. It's so sweet to see a man love his kids.” a woman nearby said, heading towards him. Shiro wanted to roll his eyes but he was a little more polite than that. “I know you have a hard time with all those kids in your house so I made you something to heat up for dinner. It must be stressful being a single parent at home with four kids.” she said, holding out a casserole tray
“Thank you Phoebe.” he said, with the small faked smile on his face as he took the dish. Phoebe made sure that her fingers grazed over his and made a quiet noise like it was an accident. Shiro was really close to just rolling his eyes.
She looked like she was ready to open her mouth again but Shiro spoke up instead in the politest way he could
“I would really like to stay and talk but Pidge is cranky this morning and I need to get her back to bed so she can sleep a little. Thank you for the kind gesture though. I appreciate it.” he said with a soft smile.
“Oh...okay. Well, I will see you tomorrow then.” Phoebe asked.
“Okay. Have a nice day,” he said before pulling the stroller back and headed to the car.
That would make three dinners this week from her. Not to mention the other two from some other mom he saw at the gate the other day. He was going to start running out of room soon…
He was on his way back to the car when he heard a woman call out his name.
“Oh, Shiro!”
Shiro let out a deep sigh.
Seemed like his busy morning was never going to end.

CR Expo 2017 Con report!
Tumblr media
Over the weekend I tabled at Crunchyroll Expo and it was pretty eventful for a first-time con.
Day 1
I was stressing out the week before con because I’ve been making last minute decisions on prints. For example I lost my high resolution files for my large Fire Emblem prints ever since my pc crashed and I only had low resolutions on my tumblr. Fortunately, Kimm bumped up the resolution quality with her photoshop wizardry powers (I still don’t know how she did it but I can’t thank her enough) to have these prints in a large poster size. I ran them through fed-ex at the cheapest rate which really brought down the print quality, but hey, what can you do?
ANYWAY, first day at the con and I’m already a wreck because grid cubes ARE SO HARD TO ASSEMBLE LMAOOOO. My two helpers Kimm and Saga were with me the entire weekend and they really helped pull my shit together. I think what made me anxious about this con was my table location since I was at the very far corner of artist alley. It wasn’t so bad when a flood of people started walking past my table.
Tumblr media
The table.
Tumblr media
We eventually added Kimm’s bunny to the “Ryuji shrine.”
Even though Friday was pretty slow a lot of weird events happened. Like someone told me I was cute and wanted to exchange numbers. I was internally a hot mess afterwards but he got the message and didn’t insist on it. There was also these three guys who straight up asked me if I drew hentai and apparently they were livestreaming this?? GO FIGURE LMAO. I probably made a fool of myself in front of 3k watchers 😂 😂  ALSO!! KIWI CAME TO VISIT AND DROPPED OFF A GIFT!! I FINALLY GOT TO MEET HER AND SHE WAS REALLY NICE!! AHH I’LL TREASURE THESE BEAUTIFUL PINS AND CHARMS!!!
Tumblr media
I really wanted to pin these to my lanyard but I had a feeling people would ask me what table number I got these from and I’d have to constantly say that a friend dropped these off as a gift. ^_T
Tumblr media
smol commission of a smol kancolle character.
Because it was pretty slow for us Kimm and Saga walked around the area and kept spending so much on merch and commissions that they were struggling to stop spending any more lolololol. I also stepped out to check out the autograph booth and found out you had to get a ticket beforehand in order to get inside. I WAS A BIT SAD BECAUSE I WANTED TO SEE THE CHOCOBROS BUT IT’S OK.... I HAD ALL WEEKEND TO GET THEIR TICKET.... [to be continued]
It was only the first day and all of us were pretty tired. We checked in to our hotel and ate instant ramen for dinner. In order to avoid clogging the sink we threw the broth into the toilet. hsdfhafoasdfhoasdfhlf;as
Day 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Heyo I cosplayed Chie.
This day was really busy considering it was the weekend and all. I had such a hard time keeping my wig straight. I think this was also the most times when the artist alley lights would turn on and off on random occasions.
I love how customers get the most reaction out my charms when they flip them over. They would either laugh or go WOAHHHHH.
Tumblr media
The future is now.
Apparently there’s this running gag for this day: if Kimm and Saga leave the table I get lots of sales or if I step out I miss out on commission opportunities. I stayed in my table for most of the day to prevent this from happening.
I also!!! Saw!!! An Akira and Ryuji cosplayer!!! The Ryuji cosplayer had a Burger King hat on AND SAGA, KIMM, AND I LOWKEY WERE LIKE. YO MAN. YO. COME TO OUR TABLE. THEY EVENTUALLY STOPPED BY AND RECOGNIZED MY ART BECAUSE OF THAT BURGER KING RYUJI DRAWING I MADE LAST MONTH. AND THE RYUJI COSPLAYER HAD IT AS THEIR LOCK SCREEN.
Tumblr media
What a weird turn of events..... I also didn’t know Rodi was at the con and that  caught me off guard!!! WE ART TRADED ON THE SPOT AND I GOT THE PHANTOM THUGZ ZINE AND RYUJI BUTTONS. THEY’RE FUCKING AMAZING.
Tumblr media
And Debbie stopped by my table!! She dropped off a gift!! AAAAAAAAAAA I’M SO TOUCHED... BEAUTIFUL FINAL FANTASY BOYAS..... DEBBIE WAS ALSO REALLY SWEET ;o; I was overwhelmed by everyone’s kindness and it was only day 2....
Tumblr media
I was really scared of walking around the con alone in cosplay because I clam up when people ask for photos but lol i kinda got over it.
I think mid-day was when I ran out of my Akira/Ryuji ramen charm. That was unexpected since I had no faith in it BUT THANK YOU FOR THOSE WHO BOUGHT IT!
I walked around artist alley for a bit and noticed a Noctis shrine for one of the tables. Being the shy fucker I was I asked Saga to deliver my FFXV charms to them in hopes they won’t find me. THEY EVENTUALLY FOUND ME IN THE END WITH ONE OF THEM SENDING ME A CRYPTIC TWEET. SDKFHADS FNFALSFANJA FSD
Tumblr media
Right when artist alley was about to close this guy wanted the last Lucina print and I was laughing my ass off because he didn’t care for Lucina or Fire Emblem, he wanted it because it was the last print. When we were bagging it he wanted us to keep the “Last one” sticky note to show off that he got the last Lucina print AND I LOST IT FROM THERE. LIKE SURE MAN WHATEVER FLOATS YOUR BOAT.  😂 😂
Overall it was a good day.... Even though Saga and Kimm were crying over their wallets but they said their purchases were worth it.
Also for dinner we had ihop and their onion rings were made out of pancake mix LMAO.
Day 3 (Warning: unnecessary use of caps lock)
Tumblr media
This was my favorite day for several reasons. Like even though I wasn’t able to get tickets for the chocobros in the last 2 days I snagged a Max Mittelman (Ryuji’s VA) ticket! But even after getting the ticket I got nervous because I was really gonna meet him....
Saga asked me to draw a really ugly Ryuji on a cardboard of welch’s fruit snacks so I can have his VA sign it. Though, I think signing is limited to one item unless you’re willing to drop 10 bucks.
Tumblr media
L-lewd.
At one point someone dropped off their change in front of Ryuji and left. Honestly, same.
Eventually it was almost time to for the autograph session so I replaced Ryuji’s portrait with one of the ugly drawings Saga requested earlier.
Tumblr media
I also found it funny how someone was holding my FFXV print right in front of me while we were waiting to go inside the autograph room. When I finally met Max Mittelman in person I gave him the Ryuji picture to sign.... I’m just trying to keep my composure at this point since I was REALLY NERVOUS IN FRONT OF HIM. After that I told him that I was the artist who drew the Burger King Ryuji art and he gave me a HIGH FIVE!!! I also told him to visit me in artist alley (if he could find me that is) and LITTLE DID I KNOW HE FOUND MY TABLE. I WAS SO CAUGHT OFF GUARD I FELT LIKE I WAS RUNNING MY MOUTH WHEN TALKING TO HIM. HE CAME OUT OF NOWHERE.
Tumblr media
HE SAW THE RYUJI SHRINE FULL OF CHANGE I’M SORRY HE HAD TO WITNESS THAT. ANYWAY I’M GLAD HE VISITED ME BUT AT THE SAME TIME WAS THIS EVEN HAPPENING? WAS I DREAMING THIS? I WAS INTERNALLY DYING UNDER THE TABLE AFTERWARDS.....
And the grand finale.... the art trades!!! I got to meet old faces and new ones! Everyone was really kind and it gave me heartburn just thinking about it!! T__T I really appreciate this!! I’d also like to thank Kimm and Saga for being awesome table mates!! Words can’t express how much you made this con even better!
Tumblr media
I’m glad I got to table at CR Expo! It was such a huge impact on me that I had to write my thoughts here!! Hopefully I get to table again next year!

Machu Part Two
...continued from Machu Achoo
Tumblr media
Friday. Machu Picchu day. I woke up and realized that I set my alarm for the wrong time. I had a whole 10 min to get ready. I was feeling much better thank goodness! I still had a small cough and some sniffles, but nothing that was going to keep me from exploring one of the wonders of the world! We got on a bus that zig-zagged up the mountain to the main entrance of Machu Picchu. We first went on a 2 hour guided tour. The Incas were amazing engineers and architects. They built their structures to withstand earthquakes. 60% of Machu Picchu is the foundation! The buildings were made of huge heavy stones. It took a lot of man power to get the stones to their places. For the important buildings, the rocks were shaped to fit together perfectly and had smooth surfaces. When the guide showed us the type of rock used to carve the stones, I got all nerdy and asked what the hardness of the rock was on the hardness scale. Everyone laughed because it is not a normal question. I actually really wanted to know. Only someone in a science field would think to ask that sort of question. The guide said he would try to find out, but he never told me. I tried to look it up later, but couldn’t find an answer that made sense online. I guess i’ll never know. After the tour, we took a short snack and bathroom break. You have to pay one sole every time you need to go to the bathroom, and there are no bathrooms inside Machu Picchu. If you ever go to Machu Picchu, plan accordingly (especially if you have a tiny bladder). Then we were off to the Sun Gate! It took me 43 minutes and 23 seconds to hike it (yes I timed it) including a few stops to breathe. At the top, it was amazing! I highly recommend loads of sunscreen for this trip. At this point, it was already too late for some of my friends. They were already looking like tomatoes, and it was only noon!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eating a Cliff bar on a cliff!!
Hiking back down from the Sun Gate was much easier than hiking up, though it was hard on the knees. We heard about another trail that led to an Incan bridge, so we decided to find it. The first part of the hike was very steep, and then it was flat the rest of the way. At one point, there is a little stand. You have to sign in and out of a giant book at the stand. We were confused at first, but then we realized why they were keeping track of people. One side of the path was a huge wall from the mountain, and the other side of the path was a cliff with no handrail. I would not recommend this hike if you are afraid of heights. I am happy to say that I safely signed out of the book.
The people I was with wanted to go do more hiking, but I was starting to feel worn down. It was a lot of moving around after staying in bed all day for 4 days. I chose to sit on a rock by myself for a while, and it was the best decision I could have possibly made! Sitting there with Machu Picchu to my right, mountains all around me, the hot sun beaming, I was able to clear my mind and soak it all in. It was so peaceful. I could have sat there for hours.
Tumblr media
The view from my spot.
Eventually, another group of my friends came by and we left Machu Picchu together. Back down the winding road we went. I was surprised by how fast the bus drove. It was fun but terrifying at the same time. After a little break and some mango juice, we got back on the train that brought us up to Machu Picchu town. It was dark this time, so I didn’t get to admire the scenery, but there was plenty of other entertainment. It reminded me of the polar express! Instead of hot chocolate, they served pineapple and passion fruit juice. We also got scrumptious pizza as a snack. Morgan doesn’t like pizza, so I happily ate her slice as well. When I looked out the window, I saw one of the prettiest moons I have seen in a long time. It was shining bright and blue among the stars. The moonlight glimmered on the stream that ran along the tracks. The few clouds in the sky were also blue against the black sky. I wanted to take a picture, but the camera on my phone couldn’t do the sight justice. I wish I was a better painter, so I could paint exactly what I saw. When we got to our new hotel back in Ollantaytambo, I was so ready for bed. I checked the step tracker on my phone, and it said I had walked 12 miles in the hot sun.
The next morning I woke up, ate breakfast with my professor, and went to the market. There were vendors selling backpacks, sweaters made from alpaca, blankets made from alpaca, little trinkets, scarves, and much more! I decided it would be a great idea to get a blanket for hammocking when I get home. I knew I had to approach the situation differently than what I am used to in order to haggle and get the best deal. I walked up and asked, “How much does a blanket cost?” The woman told me 70 soles. I made a frowny face and said, “Agh, too much, I’ll keep looking.” The woman then had a very concerned face and told me, “No no, I will give you a special price, 60 soles.” I then told her that a lady on the other side was also selling her blankets for the same price, and I would keep looking. I was having fun. I had no idea what the other women were selling their blankets for. She then looked me dead in the eye and said, “okay, 55 soles.” That sounded great to me! I picked out the style I liked the most, and off I went. I got the blanket for less than 20 USD.
Then we all got on a bus and drove to a chicha brewery. Chicha is an alcoholic beverage made from fermented corn. This brewery was named the best in all of Cusco. I tried some, because it is legal here, and did not like it very much. It smelled very much like corn. We all learned how to do cheers in Peru. “Arriba, abajo, al centro, al dentro,” which translates to “up, down, to the center, to the inside.” There was another drink which was the same thing but with strawberries mixed in. I liked this one much more. It is considered a lady’s drink after all because it is fruity.
Tumblr media
The next stop was a buffet. The food there was amazing! My favorite was chicken with elderberries. After stuffing myself to the brim, Morgan and I went to the yard where there was a big garden, swing, river, and alpacas! We had a great time!
Tumblr media
I tried to tell the alpaca what to do, but it did not want to listen to me.
Next stop, Cusco, Cusco. After dropping off our bags at the fancy hotel and being told which streets were unsafe, I went to Papacho’s with a few friends. It is a restaurant that has mac and cheese, or as it says on the menu, mac and chez. I ordered a big milkshake and sweet potato fries. While we waited for our food, we got to color on the place mats!! The milkshake was amazing! Halfway through our meal, music started coming from the Plaza de Armas. There was a parade! We went to watch for a while once we finished and paid for our meal. We noticed that Peruvians never rush you out of their restaurants. They will let you sit and talk until you demand the check. The parade was fun to watch. The dancers had sparkly costumes with puffy shoulders. One of the bands played Despacito, a song that Morgan, Camille, and I are trying to memorize just for fun. This parade was the longest parade I have ever seen! It was never ending! We left before the end. I went home and worked on homework the rest of the night for my chemical engineering class.
Tumblr media
This is the picture I drew while waiting for my food.
Tumblr media
Having fun!!!

Plaza de Armas during the parade.
The next morning, Morgan, Dana, and I woke up earlier than everyone else to go to church. We went to a cathedral where mass was given by the bishop! It was a more simple church than some that I have seen in Poland. There were giant paintings on the walls with gold foil frames. No photos were allowed. The mass was in Spanish. My favorite part was giving the sign of peace after the Our Father. Instead of saying “Peace be with you,” we said, “a paz.” Translated, it means “to peace.” When we left our seats for communion, we returned to find someone had taken our seats.  It was okay though because it was just about the end of mass.  The church was completely full with many people standing. Thanks to the Spaniards, many Peruvians are catholic.
Tumblr media
The three of us in front of the cathedral.
The next thing on the agenda was a tour of the city. Honestly, I did not get much out of it. I was exhausted from the whole trip and being sick. I still had a cough, and Danny kept offering me Ricolas. During the tour, there were more parades going through the town. During the whole month of June, they celebrate Cusco’s independence. Confetti was all over the streets. The tour ended at a big market with fresh bread, fresh cheese, fresh meats, fresh fruits, more alpaca wool clothing, and all things Peruvian. I tried a new exotic fruit. It tastes like a mix of pineapple and mango. I still can’t decide if I liked it or not. Then I also bought myself some fancy pants that I am wearing right now. They are really fun to wear! The rest of the afternoon involved eating an empanada, watching another parade, getting kicked off the grass, and waiting to go to the airport. We flew back to Lima and rode a bus home. It felt like I was hit with a brick when I walked outside and smelled the city air again. The mountain air was so clean. I prefer clean air with hardly enough oxygen to breath over nasty smoggy air any day.
This trip was beautiful in so many ways. It was a real struggle being sick all along the way, but I am glad that I pushed through it. I am sorry for the post being so long, but I don’t want to forget a thing! I would love to go on a trip like this again someday!

Indochina Trip - Siem Reap, Cambodia
EXIT FROM THAILAND
For our next stop in our great Indochina tour, we were suppose to ride a bus that would take us directly to the heart of Siem Reap, Cambodia. If you haven't read the first part of our adventure, you can click the link here.
(or just scroll down to find the post).
So anyway, in order to stick with our schedule, we left our hotel at an early hour to arrive at the bus terminal to buy our passage for our next destination. I thought all was well since we got there in time, but then again, the universe was kind of getting bored that day and decided to make things interesting by finding targets and then screwing their lives up.
And it so happened that the targets it found where us.
Well fuck.
When we got to the transaction window, the lady behind the glass informed us that all the buses that would travel straight to Seim Reap have already been fully booked and/or have left already. What's worst was, the next bus was scheduled for tomorrow.
Hearing that piece of revelation felt like a bucket of ice cold water being poured down on our backs. I could still remember my inner brain shouting "fuck fuck, paano na?! Sira na trip natin!" in a panicked tone as the three of us just stared blankly at each other. Looking forlorn about our trip's impending demise, the lady we just talked to, prolly sensing our collective negative energies of doom, then suggested another alternative for us. We could still book a bus today that would take us to Cambodia, but only up to the border; and a wee bit hours later than the one we originally planned to ride.
Having no other better this only alternative, we took it in a heartbeat and paid 9 USD to reach Popeit.
So while waiting for a few hours for our bus ride, we bought some breakfast and take-out lunch (since the travel would be several hours long) at 7-Eleven within the terminal premises.
Tumblr media
My 7 Eleven breakfast while waiting for our bus.
I swear, Thailand is lucky for having such awesome variety of food selection at 7-Eleven. Why can't our country be the same? >.<
Anywho, we also converted some cash at a nearby money exchanger and watched a TV show that I could have sworn I've already seen once upon a time in Arirang channel to kill time.
When our bus finally arrived, all the passengers including us lined up outside and got on the transportation vehicle.
Our experience during our travel to the border was... quite ear-shattering to say at least. Because a few chairs behind from where we were seated, was a non-stop crying baby in high pitch voice as he/she was being cradled and hushed by the poor parents who were already getting a lot of looks from other passengers.
From what I've observed from the small family, the baby looked like it had a fever and was feeling very uncomfortable, thus its screeching. Throughout the journey, my mind was torn between sympathy for their predicament and downright annoyance because of the hassle and their insistence of making the trip despite their child's condition.
The only silver lining during the the ride was the complimentary snack box it provided, as well as the single stop over we had for bathroom breaks and whatnot.
By late afternoon, we've reached the Popeit, the border of Cambodia.
POPEIT

At the border
If there is one thing I've learned from crossing the border of one country to another, it's this: IT'S A PAIN IN THE ASS!
Kinda like lining up at the airport after getting out of the plane, there are certain procedures required before you can safely say "Hello Cambodia!". Of course, I'm quite grateful for the fact that we didn't need a visa for this country (which meant lesser steps involved), but the process of lining up to have our passports verified at the checkpoint is very cumbersome.
Or maybe because we were late than our expected time of arrival that I was this cranky and biased.
Anyway, after walking around, lining up, almost getting lost and tricked in the process, and also answering an interview for their tourism purposes, we were able to safely enter the country.
Since we were already halfway to our main destination, the next problem at hand now was how to reach Siem Reap. According to one of the locals there in-charge of transporting tourists there from Popeit, we had the choice of either 1.) getting a taxi for an exorbitant fee or 2.) Getting on the bus for a much cheaper price.
So we ended up settling for the bus option... which happened to house some rather smelly foreigners. I thought that one stinky foreigner was bad enough, but a bunch of them grouped together in a single closed space within sniffing range... ah.
I'm so amazed at myself for still being alive back then.
Going back, we noticed that most of the seats were already occupied when we entered the bus. Not wanting to separate by seating in different locations, we pushed on towards the back, which had a lot of room for us and our bags...
...Except for this Russian couple who occupied the whole damn row all by themselves.
How you ask?
Well, just imagine a hot-looking Russian babe sprawled in all its long-legged-glory on all seats like Cleopatra, but instead of fruits and pillows lying around her, were their trash and food wrappers scattered about. Oh and her ugly boyfriend serving her as her lap pillow.
So much for that god-given beauty if your manners and demeanor are like that.
Anyway, we did the good 'ol passive-aggressive approach by staring at them and mentally telepathing to their faces how a hindrance and a pain in the ass they are and blah blah... you get what I mean. Thankfully enough, they got the hint and the girl reluctantly (I think she even rolled her eyes) got into a proper sitting position and freed the chairs for us to sit on.
Finally!
Tumblr media
Them smelleyicious crowd~
When the bus was full, we set out to our destination. While en route, a Cambodian representative who was with us on the bus stood at front and talked about their culture and what to expect in the country. After it was over, there was a temporary buzz of chatter from the foreigners who wanted to get acquainted and whatnot. As hours passed, the noise had finally died down as the sun disappeared into the night.
At around 8 or 9pm, we had a short stop in the middle of the road to eat dinner. What's great about this country, according to the local who talked at the bus earlier, is that Cambodia accepts all types of currency (from peso, to baht to dollar etc) as payment for anything. So there was no problem with regards to exchanging money or buying stuff. With that said, I paid 2.5 USD for my dinner, and peacefully ate with my companions. When we were done, we went ahead and returned back to the bus. Since everyone else was busy eating and mingling outside, the three of us enjoyed our solitude together. We even vented our previous frustrations by shouting in Filipino how smelly they were, lol. Talk about releasing stress!
Anyway, when our break was finally over and all the passengers have been accounted for, we resumed the rest of the trip and continued to our Siem Reap drop off point.
SEIM REAP
I couldn't remember what time we arrived, but as we got out of the bus, several tuktuks were already camped there, ready to sell their services to us foreigners. There, we met and hired our tuktuk driver named "Met" who agreed to tour us to Angkor Wat the following day (for 7 USD, can’t remember if each or as total). He also got us to our designated hotel, before leaving and reminding us of our early call time tomorrow.
BLOSSOMING ROMDUOL LODGE
We spent several minutes at the lobby area of our hotel paying the rest of the fee (16.6 USD from each of us), as well as also booking a night bus that would get us to Pnom Penh. We initially wanted to book Mekong bus (which is one of the most decent buses for tourist travel), but unfortunately, it was already fully booked. So upon recommendation of our hotel, we got a b-rate night bus worth 13 USD... which, little did we know, proved to be the second WORST DECISION we've ever made throughout our indochina trip. But that's a story for another post.
Tumblr media
Recharging ourselves for awhile.
When we got the keys to our room, we unpacked our stuff and had a short reprieve from the hectic travel.
Anyway, despite our fucked up schedule due to the delay, we still had time that evening.  I wanted to at least accomplish some stuff that was written on our itinerary that day, so I urged Arlyn and Denise to go out for a walk at Pub Street, which was supposed to be a walking distance from our location.
PUB STREET
Similar to Khao San Road in Bangkok, the buzzing streets of pub street  is a place for backpackers and other tourists alike who’d like to enjoy Cambodia’s night life. From the local bars to food establishments and even doctor fish massages, there's so many things to see and experience in this area of Siem Reap.
Tumblr media
Night Life - Pub Street.
We've strolled the area for a good while and found how large the area was. Luckily, we stumbled into the souvenir stores that were all lined up together and was able to bought some (1 USD for 4-5 magnets) for back home.
I also bought a local painting for 5 USD, woot! It was very hard to choose from among the stack because everything looked so good. But in the end, I settled for this one.
Tumblr media
I chose this because... TREES! XD <3
When it was already late, we went back to our hotel to sleep for our early morning schedule at Angkor Wat (should be there before sunrise!)
ANGKOR WAT
When it was already late, we went back to our hotel to sleep for our early morning schedule at Angkor Wat (should be there before sunrise!)
At dawn, we woke up and prepared ourselves grogilly as we took our complimentary breakfast as a takeout from the lobby and met up with our tuktuk driver at the front of our hotel.
As we silently rode through the street of Siem Reap, cold breeze enveloped us on the way to angkor wat.
God, I wished I could have brought a shawl with me. Brr!
We were the first to arrive to the ticket booth. While waiting for it to open, we ate our breakfast, which was a rather thick bread with spread. Not a spectacular breakfast but it was enough to fill our stomachs. Arlyn had the unfortunate experience of breaking her tooth while biting to her bread in the process. I felt sorry for her, but I can't deny how hilarious it was, lol! Both denise and I laughed, since we're such true friends, hahahaha.
Anyway, a lot of tourists came trickling by after that and once the booth was open, we got our pictures taken and paid an entrance fee of 20 USD for our pass to the heritage site. We went back to the tuktuk and rode further inside, to the entrance site where the iconic sunrise photo spot of Angkor Wat is shot.
Tumblr media
My  angkor wat pass valid for 1 day
Before parting with Met once we arrived, he told us where to to find him once we came back from our sightseeing. We then followed the other walking tourists further inside. While treading through the darkness, several Cambodian locals came by, introducing themselves with codenames. The ones who I remembered in particular were James Bond and Harry Potter, lol. Basically, they spoke to us, telling us where the best location to take sunrise photos and then sweet-talking us afterwards into visiting their food tent after sunrise for breakfast or even a sip of warm coffee or chocolate.
Talk about mad PR skills eh?
So anyway, we found a good spot for us to standby and waited several more hours for the sun to rise, as well as the gates inside Angkor Wat to open.

My best attempt of photographing Angkor Wat’s sunrise.

The many tourists who awaited the same sunrise as us.
When it was already after sunrise, we then entered the temple and followed the rest of the crowd.
Tumblr media
Angkor Wat is the ruins of what was once the magnificent civilization of the Khmer Empire. Being one of the UNESCO Heritage sites of the world, this archaeological park is a must see for tourists in Siem Reap, Cambodia.Angkor Wat is a very big complex that contains several temples, including the famous Bayon, Preah Khan and Ta Prohm. There are two sets of tours available for this place. The small circuit tour, which comprises the inner area of the place; and the big circuit tour, which includes the outside temples located at the outer perimeter of the park.

Inscriptions. I wonder what it says.

Detailed carvings.
Tumblr media
At first glance, it may look small...
Tumblr media
But it’s noooooot. D: I wonder for what purpose this area was used for.
Inside, there were monks situated in a certain area where they would tie a red string on your arm while chanting. Of course, during that time, we had no idea what it was for but nevertheless we wanted to experience it so we went ahead and got one for ourselves. Later on, I overheard a tour guide explaining that the rest string bracelets were Buddhist bracelets that symbolized several things, like good karma and whatnot.
Tumblr media
To be honest, I felt kinda fuzzy inside when the monk tied one on me. I dunno if its the incense or the red string's fragrant odor, but I want to believe that the monk invoked some sort of prayer of good luck to me. Hopefully. :<

After exploring around the big temple, we went back near the entrance to have breakfast at Harry Potter’s tent. While eating, local children would come to us to sell their merchandise. I was even amazed when some of them could even speak in Filipino! But sadly, we already bought our souvenirs last night so we weren't able to buy from them.
Tumblr media
My order: Pancake with fruits for breakfast
Once we've finished eating, we returned to our tuktuk driver to get us to Bayon inside Angkor Thom
  BAYON
Built a hundred years after Angkor Wat, the Bayon Temple is located at the center of the city of Angkor Thom. It apparently represents the intersection of heaven and earth.
Tumblr media
A beautiful view of Bayon Temple.
Just outside Bayon, there's a row of elephants that can be ridden for a fee (around 20-30 USD, from what I can remember). Denise and I contemplated on riding the elephants , but Arlyn was not feeling it (boo!) so we opted out. We just took a picture as souvenir. #sob

I wonder how this place was like several hundred years ago...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While taking in the scenery from the top while taking pictures and maneuvering away from other tourists, we saw some Cambodians wearing traditional attire for souvenir photos. Of course, since it is a business after all, they would cover up their faces and hide themselves whenever other tourists (such as myself) try to take a picture of them for free.

After exhausting a good number of hours in this place, we decided to proceed to the next destination: Ta Prohm.
Before leaving the tuktuk, we gave Met 1 USD so he can buy himself some lunch while waiting for us.
We then went inside the premises, where unique melodic sounds of Cambodian musicians playing could be heard.
TA PROHM
Aside from being a famous spot due to the Tomb Raider movie using it as a filming location, this Buddhist-temple-turned-jungle has been reclaimed by Mother Nature, with several large tree roots of fig, banyan and kapok trees hugging the walls of this ethereal structure.
This place reminds me of temple run, don’t you think?

Nearing the entrance... I think. *Follows the other tourists*

Columns near the exit.
After touring the area, we went outside and bought a fresh cold coconut drink at a nearby shack. I remember Denise making a blunder here when she said "buko" instead of coconut when she bought hers, lol. The seller got all confused at Denise's request and she quickly realized her mistake and corrected it to coconut. We had a good laugh from it afterwards.
I swear, drinking cold buko while sitting after a day's long walk under the heat of the sun is the best feeling ever!
I wish I could say the same thing for our ears, because a moment later, a group of female foreigners came by and tried playing this string intsrument being sold in the shack... which made our ears bleed. Sadly, after all the disturbance they brought to us and the seller, they didn't bought the damn instrument in the end.
Those wretched bitches. DX
BANTEAY KDEI
We took a short break here from all the walking we’ve been doing since morning. While relaxing, Denise took the time to take some pictures of us three. After we’ve rested, we went back to exploring the area.
What’s nice about this place compared to the ones we’ve been to is that there weren’t much tourists here to ruin the view. We almost had all the place to ourselves, which is a luxury.
According to my research,  Baneay Kdei, also known as "A Citadel of Chambers" and "Citadel of Cells", is a rather mysterious temple due to the fact that there are no records found as to why this place was built. Despite name’s meaning, the temple didn’t necessarily functioned as an actual cell.
Tumblr media
The monks appeared just as I took this shot, making their colorful robes the perfect accent in the photo. *_*
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I wonder what the center structure’s for...
Tumblr media
Are these what they call Asparas (heavenly nymphs) perhaps?
Our next destination was suppose to be the Citadel of Women, but unfortunately there was a misunderstanding with our tuktuk driver Met. Apparently, the trip there does not cover the initial fee he had offered during our transaction so if we wanted to push through, we would pay an extra sum of money. And since it was a bit far from where we currently are, it was of course expensive. We understand where he's getting at, but we felt kinda cheated because it wasn't explained from the beginning. It certainly left a bad taste fos us. So instead, we went to Prasat Kravan, so as not to waste our time here.
PRASAT KRAVAN
The last destination on our small circuit tour. This temple was dedicated to Vishnu, with Bas-reliefs of her image adorning its brick walls.

The goddess Vishnu.
When it was almost dusk, we went back and had our last tuktuk ride with Met back to the hotel, where we paid him in full amount.
At night, we went for another trip again back to Pub Street for dinner. On the way, we were egging and teasing Arlyn to try the happy pizza near our hotel, Lol. BTW, happy pizza is famous in this area for having marijuana as part of the food's ingredients or toppings.
Rejected multiple times with regards to the happy pizza idea, we ended up at one of the restaurants in Pub street and had a  12USD (4USD each) worth of dinner.
We then went back to our place and made preparations again for our next stop: Phnom Penh.
I say, our trip her to Siem Reap has been my favorite so far, with all the architectural ruins and whatnot. There had been some minor issues with regards to miscommunication with our tuktuk driver and other locations we haven’t explored, but ultimately, this experience has made me want to return to this place in the future. Hopefully this time, with Ian, and with more days to spare.
Also, another thing I’ve learned from this trip is that next time, I’ll bring a sunblock and my own water bottle for drinking.
*looks at Arlyn’s collection of empty water bottles*
Yep. :/

Do you have any friends who are on and off with bfs/gfs all the time? Yeah, Jo and Aya don’t make the most stable couple. They had one really problematic stint last year where they would break up and get back together every week. They ironed it out eventually and they’ve been ok for a while, but lately I think it’s a little rocky again because I no longer see them interacting and they’ve been retweeting stuff that gives me a few hints. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve broken it off for good. When was the last time you almost cried out of exhaustion? Ohhhh boy. It was some day in Feb I think? and everything had just been going wrong for me. Andrew and I got yelled at by our thesis adviser because she didn’t like what we submitted and she gave us a day to revise three entire chapters. We stayed in the college working away from 3 PM to 10 PM then when I got home, I realized I forgot to bring with me a certain item that my org entrusted me with. Absolutely wasn’t allowed to lose it. Had a panic attack and this was when I started crying because it was so late and I just wanted to go to bed; though Andrew saved my ass by offering to go back to school at like 11:30 just to retrieve the damn thing. Lastly, that was a time when business reporting was still giving me hell and I was struggling to find a business story around campus to turn in for that week, so I was freaking out about that too. All in all a shit day. What`s a TV show you hate missing? Idk man, if I miss a show I don’t think there’d be hate attached to it. I imagine I’d miss a show because it made me happy, so this doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. Do you think it’s funny how people always say their pet is the best ever? It’s adorable haha but not necessarily funny. Whenever someone says it I totally believe them; I think all pets are the best :) When did you last brush your teeth? This morning.
What was the last website (besides this one) that you visited? I checked my Twitter right before this question. Do you have a friend who you think you’ll be best friends with forever? Yes, Angela is for keeps. Does it annoy you when you accidentally delete things? For the most part I can just undo and get the deleted thing back, but when that’s not applicable it can get super distressing. I know I was gloomy for a very long time when I accidentally wiped out my camera roll with photos from 2014-2016. What`s a movie / book / TV show / band / whatever you highly recommend? Movie: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off Book: Got nothing in this department. Show: BoJack Horseman Band: Paramore ha. They got a sound for almost everyone! When did you last use a dictionary / thesaurus? Two questions ago when I was looking for an adjective to best describe what it’s like to lose your entire camera roll and, essentially, good memories that you’ve made. Are you anticipating or dreading anything? I ammmmmm anticipating dinner haha. I can’t think of anything I’m dreading.
If someone could randomly give you something right now what would you like? Baked sushi :( It’s a recent trend locally and it looks so gooddddd, I just don’t wanna spend the last of my savings on it or ask my parents to buy a tray for me. What`s the most annoying thing in the world? At the moment it’s people who refuse to wear masks because they claim that it messes with their oxygen level or because they find it personally uncomfortable. When did you last use one of those water slides you put on hills? I have no clue what you mean. What are you sitting on right now? One of the dining room chairs. What skills would you like to learn / develop? Adobe Indesign and iMovie. I dabbled with these recently – Indesign for a class and iMovie to make a video for Gabie – and though I was always too scared to start using programs like these, I actually found them fun and super useful when I finally had my hands on them. When we saw each other the other day Gab was talking about using this break to take up workshops in different Adobe programs so that she’ll have more stuff to put on her resumé, so I might follow her footsteps too. What is something other people say you’re good at but you think you’re not? Teaching. I always feel like I fumble a lot, but idk I get compliments on it so I guess I’m kinda okay but I just don’t see it. What does your bedside lamp look like? I don’t have one. I used to have a wall light though. It was a just tiny lil bulb that I had to plug in to give my room a light orange hue. What did you last take a photograph of? Myself and Cooper. When was the last time you got really frustrated with technology? Yesterday. My laptop was a bit slow when I wanted my YouTube video to go full-screen, and my impatient ass already got irritated with it. What was the last funny thing someone said to you? She didn’t technically ‘say’ it but my mom was singing a song earlier and had the lyrics wrong, and what came out of her mouth instead was so wrong and so funny.  Who taught you to tie your shoelaces? My grandmother. What was the last thing you bought? I bought snacks from my girlfriend’s dad Korean food business! I got myself odeng (fishcakes) and tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) :) Do you want to move to somewhere else? If so, where? Any country with a capable government at this point. What time is it where you are? 8:04 PM. What’s your favourite picture of yourself as a child? I’m not sharing that on here, but I do have my favorites.
Do you like your neighbours? I suppose they’re okay, in a sense that they haven’t done anything to annoy me. I’ve never talked to them in the last 12 years that I’ve lived here though haha I always felt like my mom could take care of the socializing stuff – and she has been. Does your room need to be cleaned? Nah I’m barely in it these days. It’s mostly spotless and things are stacked up neatly. Do you have a good relationship with your family? I wouldn’t say it’s good, but it’s not bad. Super lacking in the emotional aspect, though, and it’s a big reason why at the end of the day I can’t call it a good relationship. What is something people are surprised to hear about you? That I don’t like fruits. The horrified gasps and expressions never get old. Do you make judgments about people straight after meeting them? Only if they blatantly act like a jerk. Do you hate any particular groups of people? I mean I hate racists, abusers, rapists, Karens... but if you mean to ask if I hate any race or people of a certain sexual/gender orientation then most definitely not. Do you fall up or down stairs usually? Down :( Do you constantly break things? (By mistake or otherwise) HAHA yes. What was the last bug you saw? Kinda looked like a moth but I’m not sure what it was exactly. Are there any smells which make you feel nauseous? Rotten egg, any fruits lol. What is the scariest thing you`ve ever gone through? Random men play-lunging at me when I’m walking outside and then laughing once I jump or whimper. I don’t know if there’s a certain script that those fucking pigs follow, but I’ve had several of the exact same experiences through the years. That’s why my friends can always poke fun at the fact that I drive everywhere no matter how close my destination is – at least I feel safest that way. Do you have anything unusual in your bag? No. I only carried the essentials in the last bag I used when I went out the other day. Are there any people you know in real life that you only talk to online? Yeah, there’s a bunch of people I don’t really get to see irl. Some of them are friends who’ve migrated, some are my friends’ parents, my relatives who’ve always lived in the US, etc. Do you think people who don`t care about education are dumb? In the Philippines they will definitely be considered careless, dumb, and having no ambition. But I know education isn’t as big of a priority in other countries and that college isn’t a necessity in those places, so I guess there’s a cultural difference here. What`s your favourite key on a keyboard? I don’t pick favorite keyboard buttons lol. Do you always finish what you start? Nah I’m a little terrible at that, especially if we’re talking of passion projects. I collected Starbucks planners for like six years and was never able to completely fill up any one of them. Who`s your favourite character from The Simpsons? Or do you hate that show? I’m not a big fan of the show but just because I relate to her a lot and the fact that she’s intelligent and a goody-two-shoes, Lisa. Have you ever had any friends who always tried to steal your things? Nah wtf? I’d so easily stop talking to them if all they did was steal from me lmao What is something you will never understand? People!!! Who!!! Aren’t!!! Nice!!! To!!! Servers/Baristas/Anyone working in a job that has to directly deal with customers!!! When did you last laugh hysterically? Probably earlier this afternoon watching a Good Mythical Morning episode.
