Song of Savage Beasts: AU
Don’t mind me, I’m planning my fic through headcanons. As I always do. The fic where everything is reworked to include the major points in the ACOTAR series but the whole plot takes place during the War against fae and humans, therefore Feyre, Nesta, and Elain all end up turning fae when these problems are occurring. The bat boys are probably about 36-ish so really young. How I’m going to rework this I don’t know, but bare with me.
The Archeron sisters grow up privileged bc their father is still a merchant. They’re pretty sheltered and there is some lands that do not have fae ruling over them, it’s just travel is precarious. He’s rich enough though and good enough at his job that most of the time he can avoid the fae, even sometimes contracted by the fae. He eventually gets taken by the Queen of the Blacklands (probably) and she’s going to exploit him as a resource.
Their mother is still alive and she still favors Nesta. Nesta is her little queen, and so she grows up pretty isolated and mean-spirited. She gets shipped to the continent to go to a finishing school and to join high society. She’ll be living with her cousin, Urstin, who is very bratty. All of these humans on the continent in the place where she lives are privileged only because they have a rather weird relationship with the fae of that place... Her mother has a weird relationship with the fae, is somewhat fanatical... This leads to the Koschei plot and then to the Hybern plot. Eventually Nesta turns fae and gets dipped in that cauldron, but I’m going to say she already had some fae blood before this through lineage ie the fae who cursed Koschei and I’m going to make her a witch through this, or because Hybern and Koschei are sorcerers.
Feyre is the activist, where she joins groups of people who are actively trying to fight against the ruling of the fae, because she’s been sneaking off since she was young and knows all about the land outside of the estate she lives on. She knows what is going on and will not stand for the injustice, but during a raid she gets caught by probably something linking to Amarantha and Hybern, where she meets Rhys, who is involved in this somehow and probs Tamlin when the appearance permits. I’m going to probably say.... that they just turned high lords, so their fathers are freshly dead. His mom and sister are gone, and they just now are like wow have to rule a court. So baby High Lords. Eventually Feyre turns fae. A lot of this will revolve in the Night Court and the Middle... maybe.
Elain follows Feyre during the last raid and ends up being separated from her and ends up being found by Lucien, who has just lost Jesminda and is now in the Spring Court. This eventually leads to the Autumn Court plot problem and the Day Court plot problem. This part will be so confusing to explain and will require a lot of rewriting the set up of this problem, because SJM really didn’t clarify this time frame and it’s so confusing. So I’m going to say that the affair happened before the war. Eris would be the same age as Rhys and the others, about 36, and Lucien is probs in his late 20s or something. Jesminda and him were young lovers, and she was just killed off, perhaps idk five years ago, so pretty fresh for a fae. Eventually Elain does turn fae. Ianthe will be a part of this.
Mor, Cassian, and Azriel are going to be on the continent because there is an actual war going on or... at least the start of one. Because the war lasts 7 years, so let’s make it fairly the beginning or the middle--not sure. Miryam is obviously going to be a part of this and eventually Drakon. The Valkyries will exist. I will make Emerie and Gwyn somehow a part of this whole scenario. Cassian will have an on and off again relationship with one of those warriors until he meets Nesta. Nesta will already be fae at this point.
All of them are eventually going to meet again, the sisters do not know that they each have turned fae, but they will be happy to be reconciled, because no bad relationships in this fic between them. Stuff happens obvi.
But at the end the wall is built even still. The cauldron is split apart, the book is split, too, and we’ll see how I can make this tragic in some way. lol.

Oy vey, this is going to be difficult... but we’ll see. I can’t write post ACOSF fics right now because I’m still bitter. But I think I can write AUs. I like the thought of having them be the ACOTAR/ACOMAF version of themselves.
