bold of you to assume fae are mythical and not absolutely real and in my backyard right now. Tho actually I guess mythical just means existent in myth, which faeries are. But anyway NO they are not my favorite, my favorite are actually Dragons. Ok, and Fauns, but they’re kind of fae depending on what myth you’re looking at?

Uggghhhhh the ren faire AU is so good but kinda hurts cuz I almost joined a ren guild before my anxiety kicked me in the ass and I ghosted them 😩 I was almost living that good good faire bard life lmao

Ahhhhhh that’s alright man, life has a way of putting us where we need to be, you never know! Faire bard life might not have been so great, maybe you’re supposed to do more important things! 

The good thing is you can always live vicariously through fictional characters and have all the good experiences!

hey, what's your current SpIn?

i think i'm kinda in an in between where i don't rlly have one, like Hannibal is still a bigish interest but it's def faded mostly out of being a Special one? i'm hyperfixated (and hyperfocusing for large bouts of time, my gameplay time is. over 100 hrs) on Assassin's Creed Valhalla rn, and it is? might? start turning into a SpIn

i usually start fixating on a few different things during these in betweens cause my brain like. needs to absorb info and be obsessed abt things so i'm also reading more new poetry and gonna try and learn how to knit socks lmao

periodically yawn so your jaw doesn't get tense/sore and you don't grind your teeth too much. try to lower the light level if you can, and if you're home, laying down with a cold washcloth over eyes/forehead even when the headache is centered somewhere else helps me a lot. stretch out ur neck (gently, so so gently, just. the gentlest head rolls, the slightest stretch). good luck! keep breathing! the headache Will end.

i'm gonna get an ice pack for me head/neck since it's p likely that my neck is causing it? gentle stretches...i gotta remember to pace myself last time i overdid it and made my neck So much worse oops

👀 psst it's the Hannibal series, and i have a sideblog for it (@fuelingmyradiance) which yes sounds pretentious but sshh

it's the artistry that really drew me into this one, i'm such a sucker for it. they do such a beautiful and incredible job connecting everything in the show, there are so many ingenious parallels that i didn't even recognize all of them on my second watch of it. the imagery and the cinematography are used to create something so visually captivating and beautiful, despite how incredibly dark the subject matter is. every day i'm realizing all these little brilliant details that just make me fall in love with it even more

i'm actually wanting to start a THIRD watchthrough because it's honestly one of the best shows i've ever seen, it's just so carefully, fearfully, lovingly made

i am so close to finishing the bullet point outline of my novel but my wriiiists are filled with beeeeeees (and i'm medicated and doing light stretches but all of my hobbies are focused on my hands so i'm uhhhh in hell lmao)

hey what's your favorite band? i really like The Mechanisms, it's headed by the same guy who writes for the magnus archives, and a lot of the songs are old folk songs like "bella ciao" and "haul away joe," especially on the first album Once Upon A Time (In Space), and the album The Bifrost Incident has Norse mythology. fair warning though, all the albums end in death and tragedy, but it's treated really lightly because the characters who are singing are... immortal.... there's a lot lmao

WAIT it's the same guy??? i know vaguely about both the band and the podcast but i had no idea they had the same person involved, that's v cool! ohh man i love Norse stuff! i will def keep the band in mind!!

also absolutely one of my favorite bands for the past few years has been PUP! they're a punk group from Canada, and i actually got to see them in Boston a couple years or so back (i was at the very front of the crowd >:))

Apollo always feels farther away during the winter but i've felt him more recently :) which is very nice! and Aphrodite is being so so lovely to me

work's fairly uneventful, it's taxes time though, and we provide tax forms every year, it'll get a bit busier with that going on hhdzf

no word from that audition, but i'm really glad i finally took the step to do my first virtual one :), i'm still submitting my profile to various things on Backstage so we'll see if anything turms up!

uh oh, u mentioned video games, which are my SpIn ^u^ I'm currently focused on Stardew Valley and Sunless Sea, mostly Sunless Sea, it's a rogue-like exploration, mostly text-based game with heavy elements of cosmic/deep sea horror where you get to putter around the Zee in ur lil ship, trying not to get sunk by crabs the size of houses. There's also Sunless Skies, which is uhhh flying trains, and Fallen London, which is a free browser game. Ok, end infodump, thanks for coming to my TED talk lol

i'm a BIG Stardew Valley fan, it was a SpIn of mine for a while, and every now and then i get hyperfixated on it again!! :D

i haven't heard of the other two but!! they sound very cool, i def see the appeal! i'm gonna see about maybe getting them when i get home, they seem like games i'd be into!
