the very important quietsch grillkäse poll

so, it has come to my attention that quiet a huge portion of ppl on the internet dislike that the grill cheese ( not grilled cheese ! ) or halloumi put on the grill squeaks ( quietscht in german ) when you eat it. this was news for me, however. so. now I need to know.

some answers are inspired by my friends and mutuals' responses to this dilemma, ilu ♥ under the cut are some picture of grillkäse but it's basically cheese that won't melt into the grill because of how it's made, and it is usually goat or sheep milk used tho not always.

so, it's happening!! I'm moving to a new blog so I can use the tag memory system again.

this blog is 11, almost 12 years old now and there's insanely many memories on here, which is making having to move even more annoying. but! at least I still have this blog and didn't accidentally delete it or something. so, I'll be able to go back and search for stuff ( if the search system is willing ) and check whether ppl are still tagging my old blog or whichever.

I'm moving over the course of the next couple of days, I already created the new blog, added a template, pfp and bio, and gave the new blog shared ownership of my sideblogs, so I just have to follow everyone I like again and write a pinned.

but yeah, if you see @catgirl-yeji follow you, that's me ! /(◠x◠✿)\ I'll likely change it in some way ( maybe change it to catboy-jaebeom and this old one to catboy-jaebeom-archive; or maybe another catboy/catgirl/nyanbinary username, I'll see ) by the end of the week but then I'll edit this post and let you folks know!

mhhhhhhh thinking about creating a new blog to move to because the tag memory system on this one has absolutely ceased to work and using old tags again is a big part of the fun of tagging

but the work I'd have to put into the move ughhhhhhh

but really, it's been months and I doubt messaging support again will help >< they're probably entirely overworked anyway

i have a hunch it's because my blog is super old and i have over 51k posts / reblogs on it + exponentially many different tags on each of them and the system is just not able to handle it any longer but. yeah. [ sighs ]

does anyone have an issue similar to this and maybe a solution, too? I am willing to move honestly at this point but, if there's some way to fix it;;

tumblr is a great website. you can connect with people and you can post stuff that people will react to, forming very complex and hard-to-explain relationships with you, the poster.

it also, however, gives you the front-row seat to people's absolutely deranged and or emoji-filled tags and replies. and I suppose that's just the sacrifice you have to make in the endeavour to be known but. sometimes.
