i bought a sample little travel spray of this. and all i can say is damn i really really wish i liked it more LOL. blanche bete had its little moment on social media these past few months and its like..its just ok. its alright. its like a cottony thick/fatty vanilla milky milk milkiness on your skin with a little bit of tuberose… im a bit over this lactonic trend to be honest why do you want to smell like a glass of milk you weirdo. admittedly i have been this weirdo for the past year or so but i feel like the trend has just started leaning way too sweet/gourmand lately. anyways this is just not that fantastic. its alright its certainly inoffensive just not worth its price point. if you want something fairly milky and floral and sweet and expensive that i actually do quite like then i do really enjoy amouage love tuberose over this lol. i will be wearing this but begrudgingly

also turns out my lotion does indeed have a scent i just cant smell it

#i didnt realize shea butter coconut oil and cocoa butter is a scent #like i thought they just cancelled each other out and didnt have a fragrance #anyway this explains why it burns so bad when my hands are cracked and i put some on #my hands are cracked because of the soap at work and i cant put lotion on #but they wont heal if i cant moisturize so you see my predicament #im licherally a dried out husk of a man i need to be soaked in a vat of lotions and potions for a few hours

had the fun task today of making a food-safe, unpleasant-tasting lotion substitute with a stimulating texture. (to help with a lotion-eating tic so they have something less harmful and untasty on hand to help avoid the bad stuff)

not the kind of challenge I usually have when making cosmetics, but it was fun to stretch! Did a coconut oil, food grade sweet almond oil, arrowroot starch, and tons of 2 different sizes of sea salt. If the loads of salt isn't enough of a deterrent- I'm a salt addict so I understand- we're going to try citric acid, and then level 3 will be a bitterant to give it that nasty nasty flavor.

Hopefully level 3 won't be necessary. They're trying to curb the habit to safe for the body levels, not to stop a behavior that's entirely harmless if we find the right sub.

Anyways my hands are so exfoliated and soft rn!

#i like challenges like that #yes it's a very quick-melting lotion which I wouldn't make normally #but it's best to go as simple and natural in a situation like this #and I was worried cocoa butter would taste too good!#lol
