AUDC-Street wraps up World of Dance Philippines with bronze

Soaring Talents, Making Moves! Adamson University Dance Company-Street (AUDC-Street) proved that they are more than just a campus dance group, placing 3rd in the notable World of Dance College Division competition on March 10, at the University of the Philippines Theater

AUDC-Street showcased their astounding and dynamic performance off the dance floor, obtaining the official score of 81 67, securing the 3rd spot out of 14 teams who competed from the College Division.

Alongside with the AUDC-Street were the Ateneo Dance Crew and Mindanao State University- Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) Orions obtaining the first and second place, with all of them being a few feet away from representing the World of Dance Finals competition.

Known for their passion and artistic innovation, AUDC-Street's members composed of 25 talented students from the University's College Department, namely: Edwin Quilala, Kean Pabellon, Zerr Cristobal, Richard Ainza, Kyrelle Sacay, Mark Cadiao, Julianne Esguerra, Rubelyn Daig, Rickchard Basilio, Christopher Lontoc, Luigi Vendarero, Lennand Caga, Joey Brotamonte, Paris Arama, Gilbert Bundalian, Graziella Ramirez, Verneese Martinez, Cristian Del Rosario, Denise Puette, Kassandra Colango, Crystal Damayo, Sharon Lara, Mitzi Antioquia, Arrianne Omanito, and Jacky Bayran.

Leonard Matthew Caga, the student dance captain, along with their coach Jusper Almario, maintained the artistic standards of the production

In a short interview featured in Falcon Radio, the group's coach Jasper Almario shared his ways on how they prepared for the competition

"We' ve been doing lots of practice and conditioning of course from last year pa, October December para prepared na talaga and hindi mabigla yung body mila," he said.

Including conditioning exercises such as crunches, pushups, running, and among others, he emphasized the importance of conditioning in going through to get the group members' strength in their bodies and movements

“Then by the start of this year, January until February, doon na talaga kami nagsimulang mag create ng piece" he added.

Almario stated that he pieced together the choreography by filling it with improvisation and going through the development process all over again, making the overall preparation smooth and huge on their way to the stage.

Later on, Coach Almario expressed his gratitude towards the Adamson community for their unwavering support throughout the way.

Thank you so much to the Adamson Community Officers for letting us borrow their rooms and to our Cultural Affairs Office for giving us this opportunity" he said.

The World of Dance Philippines is a prestigious and honored competition that gives spotlight so exceptional dance teams all over the country.

AUDC-Street's triumph showcases the Adamsonians' creativity and nurtured talents in the field of performing arts.

The Best Thing About Life

Life is full of struggles, life is full of problems, life is full of tragedies and life is full of challenges, this is life but despite of this there are things that is best of being alive, best things in life. There are Four things that is best about life:

Number one- the best thing about life is having a family, despite of the bad things that happen in our life ,our family is always there, in happiness and in sorrow, there is a family you can open up and share your problem and even though sometimes we are not good to them they will not leave us alone.

Number 2 - the best thing about life is having a true friends. For some people who have a hard time in opening up and sharing problems to his/her family because some things are embarrassing to share to there family like about love and crushes, they have true friends who will listen to the problems and to the "ka OA han" Of them, this are the people who will support you, care for you and love you despite of not being blood related, they are always there for you no matter what, in your down's they will help to lift you up and in your up's they will cheer and be happy for you.

Number three - the best thing about life is being free. Yes there are rules set by the government, yes there are rules set by the school, yes there are rules set by the church, and yes there are rules set by our parents, but we are free obey them, we are free what to choose, we are free what to do, because we are humans, we have the highest intelligent among all the organisms, we have the thing called "common sense" and we know what is right and what is wrong, so if you break any rule , it is your choice, you know what you are doing, because you know what is right and wrong, just do not regret your decisions because you are free to choose.

And last number four - the best thing about life is full of discoveries, because human intelligent is infinite and the curiosity of human being is unstoppable, there are people who are curious about simple things and the result is a new discovery and it is fun to experience every discovery, human starts with nothing and now we have we have many things, because of curiosity and discovering the unknown.

So despite of the problems,struggles, tragedies and challenges, be happy and live your life to the fullest.
