to piggyback off the anon who asked you about period products, if neither of you mind: what do reusable pads feel like? i've been thinking of buying some, but whenever i think about what they might feel like my mind immediately goes to the feeling of bleeding through my underwear, which is not pleasant. does it feel similar to that? is it easy to get used to, like non-reusable pads? and is there a difference between reusable pads you've bought and reusable pads you've made, or not really? sorry for asking so many questions, but thank you for replying (if you choose to, of course).

Reusable pads (and by that I mean cotton pads) don't have that chemical stink, they smell more normal, basically just like blood. They're much softer, like waay softer to skin, they feel extremely cozy, like you're being hugged by a soft cloud. I was used to them immediately because they're so comfortable. The only down side is, that if you're making them out of fabrics you just have at home, they can be a bit bulky, and they do wear out eventually.

Reusable pads (those spongy things) have way worse smell, they're spongy and don't feel as comfortable, and they're like, pieces of plastic that should not go close to private parts. Cotton pads feel more natural and soft.

When you're sewing your pads, you can pick the softest most cozy cotton layer to go on top so that's what you'll feel when you put it on, you can also use the most colorful and fun fabric to make it look cheerful! I always choose stripes so they look pretty and I'm happy to have something so neat on me. I really love how comfy and how free they are provided you make them yourself (and it really doesn't take that long, an hour is enough to make two).

I've seen reusable pads for sale too, so you don't have to make them yourself, and they're from some fabric that can hold liquid better so they're not as bulky. I've never tried those though.

Omg girl be careful bc irregular periods might mean a hormonal imbalance especially if they’re going for a long time. This happened to me when I was 17, and I ended up having it for 8 months

Idk how to explain it but they were DOUBLE TIMES regular (actually triple), my last period ended and the next one started like a week later so I was freaking out if I had internal bleeding or something.
