Crown Prince Go Won: Filthy Mu-Deok? A stinky, insolent peasant, always causing trouble! But only I am allowed to say that. I’ll execute anyone who harms her.
Jin Cho-Yeon: Jang Uk’s maid. There’s something weird going on with her, and she always manages to cause problems. For me specifically.
Seo Yul: the soul of my childhood sweetheart and a dangerous assassin, inhabiting the body of an innocent girl. She is a monster but not the way people think. It will break my heart to kill her.
Park Dang-Gu: Uk’s maid! We all think she’s great! There seems to be a lot of trouble around her which is such a shame bc she’s lovely!
Jang Uk: my master, my servant. My love, my killer. My best friend, my torturer. The only one who knows me. Truly the other half of my soul. She would break any rule to be with me, and I would bend the laws of the universe for her. My wife, my obsession. My protector and my delicate bird egg to protect. No she doesn’t like me back.
Crown Prince is a very grey, very interesting character but what he felt for MuDeok ain’t “love”. It was a weird combination of friendship + respect + possessiveness + competiton coz she is Uk’s woman + mild-attraction. He really wouldn’t have paid her much attention if she wasn’t with Uk.
To him it was more about “why do you love/choose/root for Uk so much?” than “why don’t you love/choose me?”.
How did the crown prince grow up into this credible and good hearted young man? His dad doesn't seem particularly bright or interested in his son. The crown prince doesn't seem to be close to his mom - having no issue with the possibility of her being swapped or being the bad guy. Jinmu was his teacher. So then how did he turn out like this? Where does he get his senses, smarts, bravery and wisdom from?
The conversation between the Crown Prince and Jang Uk was such a bucket of cold water. Crown Prince still out here being our reality check king. He loses track but still remains a noble soul.
Also him casually suggesting his Turtle Shaman to cheat on her husband and stay in one of the rooms in his house is fucking funny. Like how many times do you want to rob Jang uk of his girl damn.
If I had a penny for everytime a guy who played a total scumbag on D.P. co-stared in the same project with Lee Jae Wook, whose character is very obviously attracted to LJW's character and who also finds LJW really attractive in real life...
I would have two pennys.
Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.
It has been quite a while since we saw Crown Prince's interest in Mudeok. We were aware of its existence but it wasn't highlighted, just crown prince being friends with Mudeok was what we got for the past several weeks.
And yet, today's episode felt like their breakup. You could feel his hurt when Mudeok declined to repay him with something grander. You could feel his hurt when he let her go.
He felt like more of a second lead than Yul today. Was so sad for them even though I ship Mudeokn and Jang Uk.
i know there's like a 50% chance i'll eat my words but i trust my baby cp go won more than most people like MY BOY IS GOOD, IF he doesn't already have a master plan, i still know he'll be on the good side in the end and maybe even sacrifice himself for uk in some way
my point is since the end of season 1, the show played with the idea of him going evil and EVERY TIME the dude is like....i just need my turtle and ukie being my bestie
so i'm sorry (not) but i trust him till the end!!!!
After leaving the Crown Prince in between of the Gold barrier, BuYeon arrived first to save Yul back. Jang Uk and Crown Prince came a while later (maybe a few minutes later)
Know what this means.....
Jang Uk went back to get Go Won out of the barrier too 😅🤣😅🤣
