Ok idk if any of you are watching Only Friends the Series but I need to post about my thoughts because I simply don’t have anyone to talk to about this and this last episode GAGGED me:

- NICK BETTER MAKE BOSTON PAY🔫

- I am a Top DEFENDER‼️ my poor man is starting to have real feelings for Mew and is getting manipulated by Boston (but also what’s his beef with sand?)

- listen y’all… I love ray, but Sand is my favorite character and I feel like I’m watching a train wreck about to happen (side note I defend Sand no matter what‼️)

- I’m all for the idea of the couples having open endings EXCEPT for SandRay purely because FirstKhao are my faves and I need them to have a happy ending🥲

I also really enjoyed Nick’s POV during this episode because he was presented as a character that would seem like collateral damage, but he is much smarter than Boston, and has pieced things together way more quickly than I thought he would😚 *Nick is my baby pls*

The next episode is going to be MESSY and I’m super excited to see how Nick will navigate knowing what he knows but also his attraction to Boston🫢

clem easy lmao in every season shes incredible i love her most character of all time

s1: baby, full of optimism, cutie pie (sweet pea) s2: starting to grow up (too fast, forced due to circumstances), losing hope but trying to not hit rock bottom emotionally, "im 11 so shut the fuck up" s3: angry now, distrustful, lone wolf, cut throat, Will Not hesitate, still warm hearted and kind under an extremely hardened exterior s4: at her peak out of all 4 seasons, tired, wants to settle down, not so hardened anymore but takes No Shit and Will kill a man if need be, tough as hell but not angry like s3, the adopted has become the adoptee, mom now, finally surrounded by people her age who (all, eventually) love her and trust her and look to her for guidance and leadership, trying her best to keep the people she cares about safe (and succeeding, where she has failed in the past), chillin in the yard with her found family, shes got the safe home shes been looking for since s1, mwah perfectly wrapped up character (and ripe for exploring her trauma in a safe environment)

if that feels like a cop out answer to you (even tho i love clem by like a million miles she really is one of my all time fave characters if not my favorite of any media), then i'll say violet. especially a friended/romanced vi

basically introduced to her like a s3 clem, distrustful and walled off due to loss/guilt. shes (mostly) aware she comes off meaner than she intends. recognizes when shes messed up (injured vi apologizing to clem for their fight, knew she was wrong for blaming brody but struggled with her feelings of guilt too much to brave talking to her about it (and clem can help her work through that)), but also sticks to and stands by her morals, willing to fight to defend those morals. learns to be more confident in herself instead of staying out of things (defending clem against marlon with her cleaver, stands up for clem/aj against the other kids throughout ep2, leads the school through ep2 and shares that role with clem in ep3), takes on position of school leader after marlon dies (even tho that was something that she probably never imagined doing since she dreamed about leaving), only agrees to the terms of the vote to keep the rest of the school kids (and clem/aj) safe from infighting. fiercely loyal. tough as nails. softie (and a romantic) under her hard exterior (that she put up to keep herself safe from feeling any more loss/guilt over people close to her). shes funny too but in a sarcastic way for the most part people need to stop acting like louis is the only funny one at the school. by the end a friended/romanced vi has really evolved as a character from walled off, angry, kinda sad, loner to someone who stands up and fights for herself, for the people around her, for what she believes, lets herself care about people again. and if shes unscathed then she continues that leadership position alongside clem

I slowly come to the conclusion that I have never liked a dynamic as much as the one between Lian and Kuea. The tenderness and care Lian feels for Kuea is just precious and I love how they just take the 'cold-tsundere' stereotype and say 'fuck it' this man is going to be so devoted he will change the course of his business plan to reach that goal.

And that is why I like how they approach the shift in their relationship. Lian was so focused on making himself the perfect partner, not stifling Kuea in any way, that he forgot that he should also show him his feelings in words and actions.

How smug he was when he realized his ID number is the code, how delighted he is by Kuea's brattiness and stubbornness. The scenes in the Dragon's Lair how he absorbed anything new he learned about Kuea.

I appreciate it so much that we have the POV's from both of them so we know Lian's feelings and that for once it's not going to be an ep8 thing when we will learn in flashbacks how much Kuea means to him.

"Because Lian Kilen Wang's universe has Nu-Kuea Keerati as the center. You're just like a planet that is orbiting around the sun."
