Well today didn’t help that he happened to slice himself up on the metal door someone had to just throw him through as the watch timed out, So of course he ended it as soon as he could.

Didn’t stop him from laying on the ground tho, “This sucks....” He really didn’t want to go back to base like this.

As the hand was removed, she coughed a bit, catching her breath, then looked up at the young lady in obvious concern.

Globgor didn’t even bother to see the girl first before he took the keys and opened the cell door. It turns out the prisoner was a young with short black hair and heart-shaped lips. Boo. He was hoping she’d turn out to be a grotesque beast. She looked just like every other Mewman. Made sense since monsters couldn’t use magic. Oh well. 

“Hello there, my dear!” He gave a bow before entering the cell. “My name is Globgor! I’m the king of this land! I hope my soldiers weren’t too rough with you! Mewmans have a tendency to be a bit, uh, high-strung.” He extended a massive hand to the girl. “What name may we call you?”

Rude, defiant, and brash to the end, Ashi was certainly Aku’s offspring. Perhaps that in itself was the root of his fascination, but something else about her, how she had the bigger picture in mind... it was new, especially for one descended from the Yokai.
