This might be a hot take, but...

My biggest pet peeve in the doll community is when the term "mold" is used to refer to what is actually a "sculpt" or "cast." Sculpt: The original piece, as created by the sculptor. Cast: A copy of that sculpt. Mold: The thing that creates the cast. You make it from the sculpt.

Maybe I'm just being pedantic though!

Mini 2B is finished!

I’m so happy with how she came out 😭 I’ll keep saying it bc it’s true lol.

The outfit is one of my rare made from scratch pieces. I would consider it rough but it photographs well which is really all I want. I play with and dress up my dollfies a lot, but I consider her more of a display doll. I’ll take cute pictures of her, but she’ll probably stay in this outfit forever.

Worked on redecorating my doll shelf/diorama today to fit Lola’s vibes. I love how this green wallpaper photographs with her and Ambrose. I think I want to get her some of those French velvet poufs and pillows from Verta Doll soon. Maybe when they have their mini market I’ll stop by since I live close. I also want to print out some art to put in the frames but don’t have a printer right now so that will be a for later thing.

I’ve been wanting to tattoo a doll for a while, and decided to go ahead on Len. I like my dolls to feel in character and Len offers a lot of flexibility on that! I’m doing flowers and shapes. The under paintings are water color pencil.

Once all of the under paintings are done, I’ll go over with paint and add fine details.

But here’s how he’s looking so far. I’m picking up more MSC otw home today and will be adding more flowers and also abstract shapes.

Hi! I've been really wanting to try repainting porcelain dolls! I have a few already and finally had the time to try it out! You can see the before-after! I'm so happy I could save her hair, it looked to be in a worse state than it actually was. I wonder if anyone is interested in porcelain dolls nowadays, I think they are very pretty, just a bit old-fashioned but holding a lot of potential! She came with beautiful clothes so I'm debating whether to make different ones for her or not...

Baby 9S is finished!

TO AN EXTENT. Honestly I rushed him and baby 2B, but it shows more on him. I really wanted to see them finished and to be sure I could make them, so on a craftsmanship level it’s not my best work. I think I will redo some things on them, but they are indeed finished. Born, if you will 😆

When I make my full video, I will drop the lore, but I think of these two as children for my Dollfies 🤭

It’s fun seeing how a dolls personality develops even if it is of an existing character. Right now I’m getting that little 2B is more mature and protective, and little 9S looks like he has not had one thought in his life.

Going through with these dolls was impulsive of me, but I do not regret them at all!
